ANALYSIS OF THE USE OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT TOOLS BY UKRAINIAN COMPANIES

The socio-economic condition of Ukraine undergoes fundamental changes caused by the nine-year-long enemy’s aggression, especially the last year after the large-scale invasion of the country’s territory by russian troops in February 2022. The article aims to detect and examine the features of innovative entrepreneurship’s impact on the socio-economic development of regions and territories as an element of strategic management during the country’s post-war recovery based on the preparation for Ukraine’s accession to the European Union. On the example of strategic planning of the Lvivska Oblast development, the article addresses the conceptual approaches to regional development management from the viewpoint of innovative entrepreneurship as an essential element of economic growth. Major parameters of innovative activity of Lvivska and Ivano-Frankivska oblasts regional level are analyzed. The dynamics and structure of the main funding sources for R&D expenditures and the types of economic activity in Lvivska Oblast that have innovation capacity are examined, including smart specialization, creative industries, and bioeconomy. The problems that restrain innovative processes on national and regional levels and might affect the development of industries with high added value during the country’s recovery and reconstruction in the post-war period and on the way of preparation for Ukraine’s accession to the European Union are outlined. The article emphasizes the lack of efficient communication between science, businesses, and authorities, requiring more thorough analysis and development of tools to improve the mechanisms of interaction in the innovative market. Special attention is paid to the need to improve, measure, and estimate statistical parameters of innovative activity formed by the participants of the innovative process at all management levels.

Creating competitive advantage through entrepreneurial factors, collaboration and learning

PurposeThe purpose of this study was to explore the influence of entrepreneurial attitudes, motivation and orientation on the entrepreneurial competitive advantage of innovative entrepreneurs in the tourism and hospitality industry, including those involved with bed and breakfasts, travel agencies and restaurants.Design/methodology/approachFirst, the sample for this study was selected through news media reporting on well-known new entrepreneurs, from lists of those entrepreneurs who have won innovation entrepreneurship loan subsidies from the government and from lists of those who have won innovation awards. Second, a pretest was used to confirm the feasibility of the questionnaire. The pretest survey was distributed to a total of 150 tourism and hospitality entrepreneurs. A total of 8 dimensions/facets and 36 items were confirmed. Finally, data collection took place for 9 months. A total of 1,150 questionnaires were distributed, and 606 questionnaires were recovered.FindingsThis study proposes a new multi-integration model of moderation-mediation analysis. The innovative business model explores the relationship between entrepreneurial factors and competitive advantage. Based on a survey of 606 staff members and managers of tourism and hospitality firms, entrepreneurs in the tourism and hospitality industry with entrepreneurial attitudes and motives had opportunities to increase their entrepreneurial orientation.Practical implicationsIn the process of innovative entrepreneurship, whether through organizational learning or other enterprise cooperation, it is necessary to pay more attention and propose different environmental management strategies. In addition, this study also found that marketing uncertainty moderates between entrepreneurial attitudes and entrepreneurial motives. Entrepreneurial motives are more conservative than other motives, and there is increased confidence in investing in innovative entrepreneurship in stable environments.Originality/valueThis study indicates that innovative entrepreneurial tourism and hospitality firms have a mediating or moderating effect on the relationship between entrepreneurial attitudes and positional advantage. If used properly, these resources can help the new entrants in the tourism and hospitality sector avoid the limitations of environmental change, firm size or insufficient information and improve their competitive advantage.

THE NECESSITY OF PROMOTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF INNOVOTIVE APPROACHES IN ENTERPRISES IN GEORGIA

The development of the innovative manufacturer is a significant factor in the development of the economy, which is largely directed towards the search for new things, the introduction of new technologies based on commercial goals, which as a whole requires innovation and is therefore created as an innovation-oriented enterprise. It is important to mention the small innovative enterprises, whose advantages are manifested in the nature of combining science and production. Gaining a competitive advantage in the modern world is important for all countries, since new approaches created in the heart of new thinking in the field of information technology significantly increase the switching of companies to innovations. PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP AS A CATALYST FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT: MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL COOPERATION FOR ECONOMIC GROWTH

Public-private partnership (PPP) is considered one of the effective instruments for collaboration between the government and the private sector in stimulating economic development. PPP can catalyze entrepreneurial growth, foster a favorable business environment, and accelerate infrastructure and socio-economic projects. This research aims to develop theoretical and methodological approaches to ensure public-private entrepreneurial development partnerships. Public-private partnership (PPP) is recognized as a driving force for entrepreneurial development, as it opens new prospects and opportunities for creating a favorable business environment. Ukraine's public-private partnership's entrepreneurial development principles have been formulated. The objectives and tasks of the program for the development of public-private partnerships for entrepreneurial development have been systematized, including goals and studies aimed at supporting and stimulating entrepreneurship through public-private partnerships: creating a favorable investment climate; supporting small and medium enterprises; fostering innovative entrepreneurship; expanding export potential; promoting sectoral collaboration. The main directions for establishing public-private partnerships in Ukraine for entrepreneurial development have been proposed. The following methodological approach is suggested to ensure a successful public-private partnership for entrepreneurial development, which includes the following stages: analysis of needs and goals, development of a strategy for public-private partnership for entrepreneurial development, improvement of the legislative framework, the establishment of communication mechanisms, financial support, creation of a favorable regulatory environment, support for education and training, monitoring and evaluation of joint PPP projects. This methodological approach will help create a conducive platform for public-private partnerships and contribute to entrepreneurial development. Research on the principles, methods, and directions for implementing public-private partnership mechanisms has allowed the construction of an organizational and economic model for its functioning with the aim of entrepreneurial development, enabling effective coordination among enterprises, market institutions, and government bodies for joint entrepreneurial development and the achievement of positive socio-economic results. Recommendations have been developed to ensure public-private partnerships for entrepreneurial development, which will contribute to economic growth. Sustainable orientation management and institutional quality: Looking into European entrepreneurial innovation ecosystems

While research on entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems (EIEs) has emerged over the last decade, one question remains unanswered: are entrepreneurs able to efficiently adopt and manage a sustainable orientation to increase the quality and visibility of EIEs? This study argues that institutional quality and the sustainable orientation management of entrepreneurs both shape the productive and growth-oriented entrepreneurial activity necessary to reach the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Using a primary dataset on 1676 EIE actors from 16 cities in East and South-East Europe, we theoretically debate and empirically test i) the positive and diminishing marginal returns of sustainable orientation management for EIE quality and ii) the moderation effect of institutional quality in this relationship. Our results provide empirical evidence that the institutional quality and sustainable orientation management of entrepreneurs matter for the quality of EIEs, but not for their visibility. This extends prior research on the high-growth and productive orientation of entrepreneurial ecosystems.

GROWING SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP OF SILIWANGI UNIVERSITY STUDENTS THROUGH THE SILIWANGI SOCIAL BUSINESS LEAGUE (LIBSOS) PROGRAM IN SELAMANIK VILLAGE, CIAMIS

The entrepreneurial system of capitalism that is now widely applied in various corporate sectors is not a little bit only profitable in terms of monetary parts of some companies or individuals. In competing with the economic system of capitalism that causes social inequality, the concept of social entrepreneurship is a solution to build healthier companies. This article presents the participation of the government and universities in building social entrepreneurship through social entrepreneurial innovations carried out by Siliwangi University students. A descriptive qualitative approach is used to explain social entrepreneurship training activities (LIBSOS). Through the establishment of social entrepreneurship pioneered by universities, innovative social entrepreneurship will grow and develop as a way to overcome socio-economic inequality in society.

Exploring blockchain-based innovations for economic and sustainable development in the global south: A mixed-method approach based on web mining and topic modeling

Information and Communication Technologies such as blockchain can significantly contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Global South (GS). Grounded in the innovation forecasting literature, this paper explores blockchain-based innovations and research in the context of economic and sustainable development to answer the following research questions: what is the status quo of blockchain innovations and research in the Global South?; and further, how can blockchain innovations contribute to economic and sustainable development? We follow a mixed-method approach based on web mining and topic modeling with unstructured empirical data on blockchain innovators from Crunchbase, their websites, and academic publications to address these research questions. Our results indicate that blockchain innovators already engage in various application areas beyond the financial sector, addressing critical development issues. However, the empirical data on blockchain research and innovations suggests a largely untapped potential in various promising application areas relevant for the SDGs, such as sustainable energy or integrity verification. The major contributions of this paper are an overview and status quo of entrepreneurial innovation activities and research on blockchain technology in the GS, an analysis of these areas in the context of the SDGs, and a lean methodological approach for innovation forecasting.

Knowledge as a mediator for innovativeness and risk-taking tolerance of female entrepreneurs in Indonesia

In the rapidly evolving small business environment of Indonesia, female entrepreneurs also play a crucial role. Information sharing and knowledge exchange are inseparable factors in the rapid growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), thus the influence of knowledge management influences risk-taking attitude and is closely related to innovativeness. Only a small number of studies, however, have looked at knowledge management in connection to innovation, optimism, and whether the impact is influenced by the firm’s risk-taking attitude. This study aims to investigate the connection between the innovativeness, information management, optimism, and risk-taking tolerance of female companies. By disseminating structured surveys, we took a quantitative strategy. To analyze the data we gathered, we used the SEM-PLS method. Our findings demonstrate how creativity significantly improves risk tolerance and information management. We also conclude that optimism greatly enhances risk tolerance and information management. Additionally, knowledge management increases a person’s ability for taking calculated risk.

Market Conditions and Speed of Innovation on Increasing Sales of Micro and Small Entrepreneurs in Ternate City

The decline in people's purchasing power can be caused by market conditions, which of course, has an impact on decreasing the income of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSE) actors. This research was conducted to determine the ability to understand market conditions and the speed of innovation of MSME entrepreneurs toward increasing their sales in the City of Ternate. Research data was collected through a questionnaire on MSE actors in 5 sub-districts across Ternate. A total of 339 questionnaires were collected. Research data were analyzed using SEM-PLS analysis. The results show that market conditions and the speed of innovation directly affect the increase in sales. The level of innovation can mediate the influence of market conditions on sales. This finding has implications for MSEs to have the ability to understand market conditions and the pace of innovation in managing their business amid rapidly changing market conditions. Another interest for the Regional Government of the City of Ternate is to conduct training and policy assistance related to very rapid changes in market conditions due to changes in consumer tastes.

Entrepreneurial Innovation Strategies and Performance of Dairy Micro and Small Enterprises in Nyeri County, Kenya

Micro and small enterprises (MSEs) have failed to achieve set objectives of generating sustainable growth and employment. The growth and survival rate of micro and small-sized enterprises (MSEs) in Kenya has been one of the major concerns of the policy makers, practitioners and scholars. The high failure rate among small and medium enterprises businesses in Kenya has created an urgent need to identify strategies that will improve their levels of performance. The strategy and entrepreneurship literature suggests that an entrepreneurial competitive strategy improves firm performance, but empirical results are mixed. This study investigated how entrepreneurial competitive strategies: innovativeness, risk-taking and competitive aggressiveness), affect performance of MSEs in Kenya. In doing so, the study examined the moderating effect of external environment on these relationships. The objectives of the study was to determine: the influence of innovativeness, risk taking propensity, competitive aggressiveness, moderating influence of external environment on performance of micro and small enterprises of Dairy MSEs in Nyeri County. The study used a descriptive survey design. The study was anchored on Resource Based Theory, Diffusion Innovation Theory and Entrepreneurship Theories. The target population will be all the managers/Owners in the 146 Dairy MSEs in Nyeri, County Kenya. The study adopted two sampling designs namely stratified and simple random sampling design. The sample size will comprise of 146 respondents. The study used questionnaires to collect primary data. Pilot test was done to three respondents in three Dairy MSEs to refine the research instruments. Content validity was determined by experts. The reliability of the instrument was tested using Cronbach's Alpha coefficient. A Cronbach's coefficient alpha of .80 or higher was adequate in this study to allow the instrument for data collection. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics. To establish the overall relationship between the independent and dependent variables in the conceptual framework. The study identified and recommended the factors that influence entrepreneurial innovation strategies on performance of dairy micro and small enterprises in Nyeri County, Kenya. These were replicated in areas with similar agro ecological zones facing similar challenges. The study found that entrepreneurship product innovation, process innovation and market innovation had a positive and significant influence on the performance of dairy micro and small enterprises in Nyeri County, Kenya. The study concluded that product innovations helps in developing improved versions of existing products in a market, enhancing the functionality or desire for an item by taking consumer feedback to make improvements or discovering additional features and technology to add. Innovative processes typically describe changes to how a company manufactures a product or performs a transaction, so it can yield better results and profits. The concept of marketing innovation identifies a framework for strategies to make important changes in a product/service, function, price, etc. to achieve higher business objectives such as attracting customers, enhancing image and gaining competitive advantages. The study recommended that the organization should determine its objectives first by being clear with their product goals. Understand its market at all times including its customers and competitors so as to understand what else is going on within its market segment. The organization should adopt new technology to increase efficiency and effectiveness such as automation tools that automates the manual tasks in a given process. The organizations can go for rebranding to match their marketing content to a new product or process the company is selling or using. Retain existing customers to help when selling innovative products.

ACHIEVING PERFORMANCE THROUGH STRATEGIC AGILITY AND ENTREPRENEURIAL INNOVATION: AN EMPIRICAL RESEARCH IN SMEs SECTOR

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are often considered sig­ni­fi­cant in developing countries like Indonesia. However, there are several pro­blems regarding the quality of human resources and technical and non-tech­ni­cal skills, weaknesses in seizing opportunities, and lack of innovation. For this re­ason, SMEs need to be continuously developed both in quantity and quality, es­­pecially in improving their performance to contribute to economic de­ve­lop­ment. Therefore, this study examines the factors directly or indirectly related to improving its performance. This study empirically predicts that strategic agi­lity can influence entrepreneurial innovation and organizational learning. Fur­­thermore, this study proposes a relationship between strategic agility, en­tre­­preneurial innovation, and organizational learning on performance in SMEs. This research was conducted by taking samples from SMEs in the food and beverage, fashion, service, and other sectors. Sampling was conducted on 110 owners or managers of UKM in the Bandung, Garut, and Sumedang areas. Da­ta analysis in this study used SEM-PLS. The results show that strategic agi­li­­ty positively relates to entrepreneurial innovation and organizational learn­ing. Then, these findings show that organizational learning has the most sig­ni­fi­­cant influence on performance compared to strategic agility and entre­pre­ne­u­rial innovation. This study implies that SMEs can respond quickly to external cha­nges, find creative solutions, and have agile capabilities in work processes. Re­commendations for further research include environmental uncertainty mo­de­rating variables linking strategic agility and performance.

Knowledge Management as Driver of Women’s Entrepreneurial Innovativeness

The fastest-growing category of entrepreneurs globally is women, who have drawn the attention of many academics, particularly in recent years. The goal of this research is to assess the entrepreneurial traits of women business owners in Bandung, Indonesia, including innovativeness, knowledge management, e-commerce adoption, risk-taking, and technology optimism. A structural equation model was used in this research as a quantitative methodology. By distributing questionnaires to the interviewees (owner-managers of SMEs), a survey was conducted. A convenient sampling method was used to choose 116 individuals. Six hypotheses were tested using a cross-sectional survey methodology. While it has been established that taking risks does not always add to innovativeness, knowledge management and the adoption of e-commerce have both been found to have an impact on it. Risk-taking, however, has an impact on innovation through knowledge management. Innovativeness and e-commerce adoption are positively correlated; knowledge management and e-commerce adoption are positively correlated; and perhaps most significantly, knowledge management and innovativeness are positively correlated. Application of positive psychology to study the root of psychological anxiety of innovative entrepreneurs

BackgroundThe COVID-19 has brought double pressure on the work and psychology of innovation and entrepreneurship personnel, which is prone to anxiety. Positive psychology can promote the all-round development of human body and mind. Therefore, under the epidemic environment, the research uses positive psychology to intervene and treat the psychological diseases of innovative and entrepreneurial personnel, and alleviate their psychological anxiety.Subjects and MethodsThe study randomly selected 128 people who will carry out innovation and entrepreneurship from 2021 to 2022. The study used positive psychology to intervene 128 people, and judged their mental health status through their work enthusiasm and psychological resilience. In the experiment, P < 0.05 indicates that the difference is statistically significant, and t-test is conducted. After the experiment, SPSS21.0 was used for statistical analysis of the data. At the same time, after the intervention, the scores of three indicators in the scores of employees’ resilience level have increased. To sum up, positive psychology has effectively alleviated the psychological anxiety of innovation and entrepreneurship personnel. In addition, P < 0.001 indicates that the difference of the study has statistical significance.ConclusionsThe external environment of innovation and entrepreneurship in the context of the COVID-19 has gradually become worse, which has brought a lot of psychological pressure to innovation and entrepreneurship personnel, thus causing psychological diseases. CONCEPTUAL APPROACH TO FORMATION OF INNOVATIVE ENTREPRENEURSHIP`S CREATIVE POTENTIAL

In accordance with the basic statements of management science, which help to a based conceptual approach to the formation of innovative entrepreneurship`s creative potential, its elements are the purpose and objectives, objects and subjects, principles, functions and subsystems, consideration of which the most significant managerial influences and stages of the process of forming the creative potential of enterprises. The theoretical and methodological basis of scientific research were scientific concepts and theoretical developments on methods of forming and evaluating the creative potential of innovative enterprises; information and analytical materials. During the writing of the article, the methods of theoretical generalization, comparative analysis and synthesis were used. The purpose of the article is to develop a conceptual approach to the formation of the creative potential of an innovative enterprise and substantiation of the method of evaluating its creative component. To achieve this goal, the following tasks are solved in the article. The essence and components of the formation of the creative potential of the innovative enterprise are defined. The factors influencing the formation of the creative potential of an innovative enterprise (socio-economic, demographic and socio-mental) are identified. The relationship between the creative, intellectual and competence components of the creative potential of an innovative enterprise is established. An algorithm for calculating the relative coefficient of the creative potential of the employee is proposed. It is reasonable that the direct parameter of the creative component is an integral indicator of the biological (natural) and socio-economic activity of man. The principles of formation of the creative potential of the innovative enterprise (system, complexity, flexibility, efficiency, consistency, protection of innovative business from threats and dangers of external, internal and design environment) are developed. Subsystems for ensuring the formation of the creative potential of an innovative enterprise (organizational, methodological, personnel, information, and software) are considered.

Entrepreneurial innovation among international students in the UAE: Differential role of entrepreneurial education using SEM analysis

This paper explores the impact of entrepreneurial education among international students studying higher education in the UAE. The authors examine the role of entrepreneurial education as an independent variable and as a moderating variable in the relationship between external factors (measured by the economy, institutions and society) and internal factors (measured by entrepreneurial orientation, entrepreneurial capabilities and achievement) on entrepreneurial innovation. A survey approach was used in which predesigned questionnaires were distributed to the targeted respondents. We employed Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) analysis to analyze the collected data. The result reveals that exposing international students to entrepreneurial education is crucial to their entrepreneurial innovation. We also found the external and internal environments to be crucial factors that predict entrepreneurial innovation among the sample surveyed. Further findings revealed that entrepreneurial education significantly moderates the relationship between the external environment and entrepreneurial innovation whereas the moderating effect of entrepreneurial education on the relationship between the internal environment and entrepreneurial innovation was found to be insignificant. The findings provide valuable insight for not just higher education institutions offering entrepreneurial education courses in the UAE. Nevertheless, for entrepreneurship stakeholders globally understanding how to enhance the significant role of entrepreneurial education on external and internal factors will ensure higher innovativeness among international students in the host country.

The echo of conscience: why responsible leadership should aim to change the rules

Academic work on responsible leadership has emphasised two aspects: the value orientation of leaders, and the scope of interests they consider in their leadership – the range of stakeholders, current and future, human and non-human. I address these via two questions that are equally important but different in scale: one is about the motives for individual action and the other about the coordination of multiple organisations. Possible answers are considered in the context of leadership development: the developmental pathways, and the structure of leader and leadership development programmes, that are most likely to promote responsible leadership. On the question of moral motivation (drawing on the work of Paul Ricoeur) I suggest four influential factors: witnessing the suffering of others, admonitions of 'masters of justice', welfare of loved ones, and networks within which to discuss these matters. These I summarise as 'the echo of conscience'. On the question of coordinated change at a systemic level, I review several approaches commonly found in leadership development programmes, interpret these as emerging from four 'logics' and consider the implications for responsible leader development. The four logics are: systems are so complex that entrepreneurial innovation is a primary mode of responsible leadership; specific issues might be resolved by bringing 'the system in the room'; sector-specific organising to change the rules of the game towards greater social responsibility; identifying 'positive tipping points' and seeking triggers for change. I conclude with a meditation on idealism in responsible leadership.

Does Globalization Impact Entrepreneurship?

Purpose: This paper examines the effect of the globalization phenomenon and its impact on the dynamic development of entrepreneurship based on changing economic, cultural, and business environments both within and between nations. 
 Design/methodology/approach: The authors use theoretical perspectives and analyze literature reviews to identify the effect of the relationship that exists between globalization and entrepreneurship, which plays a variety of important roles in the business world.
 Findings: The findings of the study show that while there is a significant statistical difference between U.S. and international entrepreneurs regarding the importance of cross-cultural considerations, there are no statistical differences regarding the importance of global entrepreneurial innovation, business environment, and the effect of globalization on the economy.
 Research limitations/implications: The paper presents a critical analysis of the impact of globalization on entrepreneurs in the U.S. and internationally.
 Practical implications: The authors investigate the characteristics necessary for entrepreneurs to be successful, such as skills, knowledge, experience, and the abilities needed to apply technology and innovation, and they navigate complex cultural differences that may exist between business members and stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.

User Acceptance of Metaverse: An Analysis for e-Commerce in the Framework of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM)

The increase in technology has directed society to penetrate more towards electronic channels. Usage of the internet and e-commerce has been growing dramatically year by year. Thus, households’ daily life has become more digitalised, leading innovative entrepreneurs to find new technologies. Firstly, the World has seen the emergence of blockchain technologies in recent years. In the more recent period, terms like Metaverse and NFT became popular. This study aims to analyse Metaverse and NFT terms with Technology Acceptance Model, and accordingly, a structural equation analysis has been conducted via Smart PLS 3. According to the analysis results, Perceived compatibility, enjoyment, and trust have a significant and positive effect on perceived usefulness, the mediation effect has been accepted, and other hypotheses have been rejected. Afterwards, all these results were interpreted accordingly to the analysis.
