The Current Situation and Optimization Path of Enterprise Supply Chain Management Construction in the Context of Digitalization

Abstract: The advancement of information technology has resulted in a rapid rise of a new phase of technical and industrial revolution, propelling the global shift from an industrial economy to a digital economy at an accelerated rate. Digital transformation has become an irreversible and pervasive tendency in contemporary society. Despite the significant growth of China's economy, the industrial supply chain is not operating at its highest efficiency. To achieve sustainable cost reduction and efficiency, enterprises need to promote digital transformation and supply chain upgrading. By doing so, enterprises can optimize resource allocation among different links in the supply chain and enhance the quality of their development. This study conducted an investigation of the value benefits, problems, and difficulties of enterprise supply chain digital transformation, using Jingdong as an example. The following article aims to provide a credible reference for organizations by discussing the successful paths and measures of digitizing the supply chain, using Jingdong's experience and activities in supply chain digital transformation as a reference.

Path Selection of Integrated Development of Enterprise Supply Chain Management Driven by Digital Transformation

Digital transformation provides a new impetus for the development of the supply chain, which can not only improve and expand the visualization level of the supply chain system and the matching scheduling ability, so as to improve the system agility and work efficiency. Based on this, this paper analyzes and discusses the integrated development of supply chain management driven by digital transformation, discusses how to integrate different technologies under the digital background to form a centralized and fast response of supply chain management, and correspondingly cultivate a dynamic supply chain ecosystem to achieve the overall strategic change of the organization.

The impact of green supply chain management on corporate performance under the full process model: A MASEM analysis based on heterogeneous moderation

This study explores the impact of green supply chain management on corporate performance, focusing on environmental, economic, operational, and social outcomes. Using Meta-Analytic Structural Equation Modeling, we analyzed data from 98 quantitative studies conducted since 2001. Our findings demonstrate that green supply chain management practices significantly enhance corporate performance. We also identify key moderating factors, such as industry diversity, company size, geographical location, economic development, cultural level, and logistics performance, that influence the effectiveness of green supply chain management. The study highlights the importance of tailoring green supply chain management initiatives to specific industry and regional contexts, providing actionable insights and policy recommendations for promoting sustainable development in the Carbon Trading Era.

Adoption Intention of Blockchain Technologies for Sustainable Supply Chain Management in Indian MSMEs

This study explores the determinants of the intention to adopt blockchain technology for sustainable supply chain management in Indian micro, small, and medium enterprises. Different from existing studies that advocate the use of socio-technical theory for blockchain technologies, we develop a new theoretical framework, called “SOS,” based on a review of the existing literature. This is an adaptation of the technology–organization–environment framework that examines the measures and scales from socio-technical, organizational, and sustainability contexts. We use ADANCO 2.3.2 for variance-based structural equation modeling. The results show that two of the nine hypotheses are negatively significant, while the rest are positive. In our context, social sustainability and computer self-efficacy are strongly negatively significant for the adoption intention of blockchain technology in our context. Software quality and environmental sustainability are strongly positively significant. Meanwhile, collaboration, economic sustainability, and relative advantage mediated by experience are positively significant. Our study contributes to the literature by offering a new theoretical framework, fresh insights from the Indian industry, and several recommendations to practitioners.

Research on Innovation Strategy of Supply Chain Management of Agricultural Enterprises Under the Background of Big Data

With the rapid development and widespread application of Big Data technology, the supply chain management of agricultural products enterprises is facing unprecedented reform and challenges. This study takes the perspective of Big Data technology and collects relevant information on the application of supply chain management in 100 agricultural product enterprises through a survey questionnaire. The study found that the use of Big Data can effectively improve the accuracy of demand forecasting, inventory management efficiency, optimize logistics costs, improve supplier management efficiency, enhance the overall level of supply chain management of enterprises, and propose innovative strategies for supply chain management of agricultural products enterprises based on this. Big Data technology brings a new solution for agricultural products enterprises to enhance their supply chain management level, making the supply chain smarter and more efficient.

Construction of Ensemble Learning Model for Home Appliance Demand Forecasting

Given the increasing competition among household appliance enterprises, accurately predicting household appliance demand is crucial for enterprise supply chain management and marketing. This paper proposes a combined model integrating deep learning and ensemble learning—LSTM-RF-XGBoost—to assist enterprises in identifying customer demand, thereby addressing the complexity and uncertainty of the household appliance market demand. In this study, Long Short-Term Memory Network (LSTM), Random Forest (RF), and Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) models are established separately. Then, the three individual algorithms are used as the base models in the first layer, with the multiple linear regression (MLR) algorithm serving as the meta-model in the second layer, merging the demand prediction model based on the hybrid model into the overall demand prediction model. This study demonstrates that the accuracy and stability of demand prediction using the LSTM–RF–XGBoost model significantly outperform traditional single models, highlighting the significant advantages of using a combined model. This research offers practical and innovative solutions for enterprises seeking rational resource allocation through demand prediction.

Supply chain management of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Africa: a bibliometric analysis

This study examines the supply chain management of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Africa, aiming to demonstrate the patterns of publication in this field. An extensive examination of bibliometric analysis has been conducted using 338 published works obtained from the Dimensions database over the last 20 years. The study was conducted based on publications, sources, authors, and institutions as the primary units of analysis. The study determined the leading journals, prolific authors, partnering countries, and organizations involved in research on supply chain management specifically focused on micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Africa. Furthermore, it has been uncovered that the investigation of supply chain management in MSMEs in Africa needs to be revised in comparison to that of larger organizations. Moreover, publications in the field are not only insufficiently accessible, but also authored by scholars who are not of African descent. Given the crucial role of MSMEs in the African economy, scholars in this field are encouraged to prioritize research on the supply chain management of MSMEs as a critical issue for the twenty-first century. Furthermore, researchers are recommended to do additional analyses utilizing alternative databases such as Web of Sciences and Scopus.

The improved BP neural network supply chain performance evaluation model under the cross-border e-commerce marketing chain

With the rapid development of Internet technology, foreign trade has been integrated with it, resulting in the rapid development of cross-border e-commerce, and for all kinds of enterprises to bring rich profits. However, in the fierce market competition, many enterprises ignore the importance of supply chain in the process of operation, which leads to the frequent bankruptcy of enterprises. To solve this problem, the research focuses on the supply chain performance evaluation of cross-border e-commerce enterprises, and proposes an improved error inverse propagation algorithm supply chain performance evaluation model. The results show that the model has improved the service capability of cross-border e-commerce, the performance of suppliers and the supply chain. The average relative error of the artificial neural network algorithm and the error reverse propagation algorithm is 3.26% and 10.23% respectively, while the average relative error of the expected output and actual output of the artificial neural network algorithm is 2.11%, and the average relative error of the expected output value and actual output of the error reverse propagation algorithm is 6.78%. It can be seen that the artificial neural network algorithm can effectively improve the performance level of the supply chain, and under this algorithm, the objectivity of the weights and the accuracy and efficiency of the prediction results are guaranteed. Therefore, this study has important scientific value and practical significance for understanding and improving the supply chain management of cross-border e-commerce enterprises.

A Bibliometrics Visualization Analysis of Sustainable Green Supply Chain Management in Small and Medium Enterprises

This bibliometric study entails an analysis of publications about green supply chain management (GSCM) within small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The research aims to scrutinize the research performance concerning GSCM in SMEs. This study identifies countries, leading journals, scholars, and research themes. This research adopts bibliometric methods to focus on publications between 2007 and 2024, sourced from the Scopus database and limited to English-language publications. The document type analyzed is articles, yielding 133 qualifying articles for analysis using Rstudio and VOSviewer. Results indicate rapid growth in studies on GSCM in SMEs since 2007. Influential countries in the realm of GSCM within SME contexts include China, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, and the United Kingdom. Furthermore, the Journal of Cleaner Production and author Le TT emerge as the most prolific scholarly output in this domain. Supply Chain Management, GSCM, and SMEs are frequently recurring keywords, totalling 407 keyword link strengths. Keyword analysis over time indicates a trend towards adopting newly pertinent terms such as human resources, technology, circular economy (CE), trade, and business. Thus, utilising GSCM signifies promising prospects for SMEs in the future. This study adopts bibliometric methods based on document-type articles from the Scopus database collected as of March 15, 2024. Publications based on document types such as conference papers, conference reviews, book chapters, and sources outside the Scopus database, such as WoS, are disregarded in this research. The study reveals that the sustainable implementation of GSCM in SMEs is an emerging requirement and complex to manage for SMEs, necessitating new concepts and appropriate strategies for implementation. This study objectively evaluates research progress in GSCM within SMEs, highlighting research achievements and gaps while discussing contributions to the scholarly community.

Crafting an Inclusive Procurement Policy: Strategies for Embracing Supplier Diversity

Purpose: In today's global marketplace, diversity and inclusion have transitioned from mere buzzwords to indispensable elements of successful business practices. A robust procurement policy that embraces supplier diversity not only cultivates a more inclusive supply chain but also drives economic growth and social progress. Methodology: This article examines key strategies for integrating supplier diversity into procurement policies, drawing insights from existing literature and best practices in the field of supply chain management and diversity initiatives. Findings: The article outlines strategies such as incorporating diverse suppliers into Requests for Proposals (RFPs), setting thresholds for diverse supplier consideration, addressing risk acceptance and deviations, and emphasizing genuine efforts over token gestures. It highlights the importance of striking a balance between excellence and diversity while prioritizing active engagement with diverse suppliers. Unique Contribution to Theory, Practice, and Policy: By synthesizing insights from academic research and real-world case studies, this article offers actionable recommendations for organizations seeking to enhance their supplier diversity initiatives. It underscores the necessity of genuine efforts in supplier diversity initiatives, advocating for the integration of diversity considerations into procurement policies to foster economic empowerment, social equity, and long-term sustainability in supply chain operations.

The Impact of CSR on Supply Chain Management in Enterprises

Corporate social responsibility (csr) adoption is gaining increasing prominence as a strategic imperative for enterprises seeking to drive transparency, collaboration, and sustainability through their supply chains due to its perceived importance. This paper undertakes a qualitative analysis of peer-reviewed academic literature and industry reports to examine the linkages between measurable csr policies. This helps in deducing means for supply managers to control ethical sourcing, supplier codes of conduct, and social audits and resultant performance improvements across interconnected supply chain entities due to followership of acceptable socially conscious activities. Henceforth, the analysis provides a valid view that integrative csr priorities propagate positive transformations. The transformation refers to improved vendor relationships, logistics, and distribution networks. Those are achieved through enhancing climate resilience, reducing risks, and enabling cost efficiencies. The csr actions, however, need to be structured by mechanisms around supplier capability building, compliance enforcement, and monitoring systems, which are uncovered as vital framing elements allowing csr commitments. However, equitable integration frameworks across entities with varying maturity levels require additional investigation.

Social enterprises in supply chains: driving systemic change through social impact

PurposeThis paper aims to provide a starting point to discuss how social enterprises can drive systemic change in terms of social impact through operations and supply chain management.Design/methodology/approachThis paper reviews existing literature and the four papers in this special issue and develops a conceptual framework of how social enterprises and their supply chains create social impact and further enable systematic change.FindingsOur paper finds that social impact and systemic change can be shaped by social enterprises at three different levels of analysis (organization, supply chain and context) and through three enablers (cognitive shift, stakeholder collaboration and scalability). Such dimensions are used to position current literature and to highlight new research directions.Originality/valueThis paper proposes a novel understanding of operations and supply chain management in social enterprises intended as catalysts for systemic change. Based on this premise we distinguish different practices and stakeholders to be considered when studying social impact at different levels. The conceptual framework introduced in the paper provides a new pathway for future research and debate by scholars engaged at the intersection of social impact, sustainable operations and supply chain management.

 The research employs a comprehensive methodology, including a thorough literature review, case studies of successful GSCM implementations in SMEs, and empirical analysis of challenges faced by SMEs in adopting sustainable supply chain practices. The objectives are to understand how SMEs integrate GSCM into their operations, identify the barriers and drivers influencing adoption, and assess the impact on environmental, economic, and social performance.

The Role of Collaboration and Digital Technology in Supply Chain Management in Micro Enterprises

Micro businesses have revived, and many have sprung up after the COVID-19 pandemic, including the Coffee Shop micro business. In addition, technological developments in the increasingly rapid digital era have provided nuances and dynamics in research in micro-enterprise supply chains. This study aims to explore supply chain management behavior in micro-enterprises in the era of digital technology. This research contributes to enriching knowledge from research on micro-enterprise agility after the COVID-19 pandemic. This research strategy uses a qualitative approach that allows the author to conduct an in-depth analysis and sort the data into themes. Data was collected from a micro-scale coffee shop in Padang City, North East Coffee Shop. This paper found that (1) the best strategy is to collaborate with small roasteries that are more open to micro-scale coffee shops. (2) The coffee shop micro business has a level of technology adoption to support its operations. This research contributes to enriching knowledge from research on micro-enterprise agility after the COVID-19 pandemic.
