The spectral density of the optical lines in quantum dots is shown to depend on the energy variable as 1/ E . It is shown, that the experimental data on the measurement of the line shape and line width should be expected to be limited considerably by the spectral resolution of the experiment. The electronic energy relaxation time, dependent on the overlap of two electronic spectral densities, is about 100 fs to 1 ps. The theory is based on electronic multiple scattering and multiphonon states in the electron–LO–phonon system of quantum dot.
