Abstract

Theoretical predictions of the influence of electron–LO–phonon interaction on the electro-optic effects in electric-field-biased quantum wells are presented, and the analytical forms of the electro-optic effects of this system are obtained by density matrix method. The numerical results show that the theoretical values of the electro-optic effects in this model scale by rather large factors over their corresponding values in the model where the electron–LO–phonon interaction is ignored.
