Robust ZTO-reinforced Ag nanowire hybrid transparent conductive thin films with absorption-enhanced electromagnetic interference shielding property

Technological advances have accelerated the pursuit of transparent conducting thin films (TCFs) with superior mechanical properties, durability, efficient optoelectrical performance and substrate compatibility as a pivotal focus in the realm of flexible transparent electronics. Against this background, this work investigates the fabrication of multilayer silver nanowire (AgNW) thin films reinforced by zinc tin oxide (ZTO) thin film encapsulation on polycarbonate substrates by a combination of sputtering and spin-coating techniques. An investigation of the influence of AgNW percolation networks on the optoelectrical properties of ZTO/AgNW/ZTO hybrid thin films was carried out. The impact of ZTO protective layers on the enhancement of electrical properties, adhesivity, flexibility and environmental stability of the multilayer TCF was elucidated. Additionally, to explore the compatibility of the fabricated TCF in integrated device and stealth applications, its electromagnetic interference shielding properties were investigated. The hybrid TCF showed 99.47% EMI shielding efficiency with an absorption-dominant EMI shielding effectiveness of 22.7 dB in the x-band region.

Composite aerogel with oriented structure of polyimide@ polypyrrole /MXene for effective shielding against electromagnetic waves and insulation

Although the rapid evolution of electromagnetic wave technology make much progress to society, but has also caused electromagnetic pollution, which poses risks to health, information security, and disrupts communication and device operation. The development of new Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) shielding materials, especially those that are lightweight, easy to process and high shielding efficiency, has become the key to overcoming this challenge. In this study, MXene nanosheets with few layers were fabricated by chemical etching with lithium fluoride (LiF) and hydrochloric acid (HCl). Subsequently, the unidirectional freeze-drying method and vacuum-assisted impregnation method were applied to fabricate polyimide@ polypyrrole/MXene (PI@PPy/MXene) composite aerogel with oriented structure. The electromagnetic shielding properties of the oriented PI@PPy composite aerogel were modulated by changing the polymerization time of PPy to control its conductivity. When the polymerization time was set as 7 h, the oriented PI@PPy composite aerogel showed the highest EMI efficiency, the value of EMI SE was 19.36 dB. With the introduction of MXene, the EMI SE of the PI@PPy/MXene composite aerogel was increased compared to PI@PPy and reached to 32.64 dB. The improvement in electromagnetic shielding performance was attributed to the co-enhancement among the PI aerogel with oriented structure, PPy and MXene, which is the result of the synergisic effect of Multiple reflection losses and polarization losses within the aerogel. The infrared thermography at 200°C showed that with increasing PPy polymerization time, the external temperatures of the samples are 40.3°C, 44.8°C, 51.4°C, 55.4°C and 48.6°C, demonstrating the excellent thermal insulation properties.

Ultrathin alternating multilayered silver nanowire-coated electrospinning films for excellent electromagnetic interference shielding and robust mechanical properties

Developing an ultra-thin flexible polymer film with simultaneously excellent electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding performance and satisfactory mechanical property is still urgently demanded but challenging for integrated and miniaturized electronics. Herein, alternating multilayered silver nanowire-coating polyvinyl alcohol/ferroferric oxide@silver nanowires (PVA/Fe3O4@AgNW) composite films were successfully fabricated through spraying AgNWs on electrospinning PVA/Fe3O4 films, followed by hot pressing the alternately stacked monolayer PVA/Fe3O4 and PVA/Fe3O4@AgNW films in total of 6 layers. Stemming from superior conductive AgNW networks, alternating multilayered PVA/10-Fe3O4@10-AgNW composite film exhibits the prominent electrical conductivity of 1.5 × 105 S/m. Noteworthily, 6-layered PVA/10-Fe3O4@10-AgNW composite film with a thickness of 30 μm displays excellent EMI shielding effectiveness (SE) of 80.8 dB, on account of the unique alternating multilayered architectures and synergistic effect of conductive AgNWs and magnetic Fe3O4. Furthermore, 6-layered PVA/10-Fe3O4@10-AgNW film possesses satisfactory tensile strength (16.7 MPa) as well as superb flexibility (The fracture strain is 200.6 %). This effort sheds a new avenue for ultrathin flexible electrospinning films with both high EMI SE and remarkable flexibility, which has potential application in intelligent, wearable, and portable electronics.

Unique correlation between electrical, structural properties and electromagnetic shielding properties of carbon nanotube sheets

Correlation between electrical, structural properties and electromagnetic shielding efficiency (EMI SE) of carbon nanotube sheets (CNTSs) was investigated. Solvent densification of CNTSs led to enhancements of carbon nanotube (CNT) bundling behavior and densification in the thickness direction while maintaining the areal density of the CNTSs. These structural modifications resulted in enhanced electrical properties and reduced sheet thickness by modifying the microstructure and bundling characteristics. Remarkably, contrary to conventional EMI shielding materials, the sheet resistance which reflects bundling behavior and microstructure of CNTSs, is the critical factor affecting the EMI SE of the CNTSs rather than electrical conductivity. The findings provide fundamental insights essential for the design of EMI shielding films incorporating CNTs.

Synergistically enhanced electromagnetic interference shielding and mechanical properties of epoxy resin composites with a preconstructed hierarchical structure

AbstractElectromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding materials have attracted extensive attention as highly integrated electronic devices generate large amounts of electromagnetic pollution. Here, PNF/NGx‐EP composites with excellent EMI shielding properties and superior flexural strength were reported, where nickel‐plated carbon fiber (NF) felts and NH2‐Graphene (NG) were adopted to pre‐construct a hierarchical structure within epoxy resin (EP). The macroscopic NF network constructed a continuous conductive pathway and the NG grafted on the surface of NF formed a second microscopic conductive network. Consequently, the PNF/NG0.5 felts exhibited a quite high electrical conductivity of 138.4 S/cm, and the PNF/NG0.5‐EP composites presented excellent EMI shielding effectiveness (EMI SE) (57.4 dB at 11.9 GHz). Intriguingly, the flexural strength of the NF/EP composites was enhanced after the incorporation of NG, which was attributed to the mechanical locking effect and covalent bonding. In summary, this approach reconciles the contradiction between EMI shielding properties and mechanical properties of EP composites, and allows them to be promisingly employed for EMI shielding and protection in aerospace, weaponry, and communications.Highlights A hierarchical structure of PNF/NGx felts was preconstructed within EP via Michael addition/Schiff base reaction. The PNF/NGx‐EP composites exhibited remarkable EMI shielding properties (57.4 dB) and superior flexural strength (137.0 MPa), which are expected to realize practical applications in EMI shielding.

Effects of surface modification on mechanical properties and electromagnetic interference shielding properties of carbon fiber/silk fiber hybrid composites

AbstractIn this paper, a hybrid approach was employed by integrating a high‐modulus, high‐tensile‐strength carbon fiber fabric (CFF) with a low‐density, high‐toughness silk nonwoven fabric (SNWF) to fabricate CFF‐SNWF reinforced epoxy (CFF‐SNWF/EP) hybrid composites. Through the surface freeze‐induced self‐assembly process, the multiscale hybrid modified layers were successfully constructed on the surfaces of both CFF and SNWF. This novel approach effectively enhanced the interfacial strength of the hybrid fibers (HFs). Comparing the performance of the modified composites with unmodified CFF reinforced epoxy (CFF/EP), significant improvements in both tensile strength and interlaminar shear strength were observed. Specifically, the tensile strength and interlaminar shear strength of the modified composites reached 626.7 and 39.16 MPa, a rise scope of 17.1% and 14.8%, respectively. In addition, the hybrid fibers reinforced polymers (HFRPs) exhibited a superior electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding capabilities. For insistence, the modified CFF/EP with a thickness of 2.0 mm showed an impressive EMI shielding effectiveness value of 50 dB. These findings underscore the promising application potential of CFF‐SNWF/EP hybrid composites, particularly in the field of consumer electronics.Highlights The surface of hybrid fiber was modified by PDA‐GO‐OCNTs‐WPU. Investigation of alignment and layup optimization of recycled carbon fiber mats on mechanical and electromagnetic shielding properties of composites

AbstractExcellent recycled carbon fiber (rCF) was obtained using a thermally activated oxide semiconductor process. An alignment device was manufactured based on wet‐laid technology. It was used to investigate the effect of various alignment nozzle parameters on the degree of alignment of rCF mats. The mechanical, electrical conductivity and EMI shielding properties of composites reinforced by rCF mats with different layup structures were analyzed. The results showed that the optimal alignment parameters for rCF aligned mats included a convex nozzle shape, a nozzle diameter of 3 mm, a nozzle channel length of 50 mm, a nozzle up‐and‐down diameter ratio of 7:1, a nozzle departure height of 20 mm. These settings achieved a preferential alignment degree (PAD) of 93.07%. The design of layup structures for rCF mats with optimized fiber alignment fully exploits the material's anisotropic characteristics. The rCF‐0/EP composite material exhibited the highest tensile strength (195.45 MPa), while the rCF‐04/EP composite material not only demonstrated the highest flexural strength (247.95 MPa) but also showed excellent electromagnetic interference (EMI) performance (47.97 dB). The results of the research laid a theoretical foundation and provides scientific guidance for high‐value reuse of rCF.Highlights Utilized rCF as a reinforcing material for CFRP composites. The effects of ZnO powder and different fiber types used in tuff/calcite-based geopolymers on electromagnetic shielding effectiveness

Electromagnetic (EM) shielding has become increasingly important in our modern world due to the growing use of electronic devices, which poses risks of EM pollution and its adverse effects on humans. Many studies have explored the incorporation of various additives into geopolymer mixes to enhance their EM shielding properties. This study investigates the impact of tuff/calcite-based geopolymers reinforced with three different types of fibers (Polypropylene, Steel, and Carbon) and varying percentages (2.5 %, 5 %, and 10 %) of ZnO powder on EM shielding effectiveness. Compressive strength, flexural strength, water absorption, length change tests, and EM shielding (900–6000 MHz at every 100MHz step) measurements were performed on geopolymer samples. Optimal shielding performance was achieved by the addition of 10 % ZnO by volume alongside carbon fiber. This combination resulted in a total shielding value of −78.92dB at a bandwidth of 2800MHz.

“Heterodimensional Structure” Integrated Defect and Interface Engineering for Efficiently EMI Shielding and Electrochemical Response

AbstractTwo colossal global challenges remain energy scarcity and environmental pollution, having evolved into problems that human society cannot ignore. Therefore, developing a material with efficient electromagnetic (EM) interference shielding and electrocatalytic properties has become imperative in promoting sustainable development and establishing environmental protection systems. Herein, a heterodimensional structure is prepared by assembling 3D spirally grown VS2 with 2D FeCo‐LDH, which precisely manipulates macroscopic EM and electrochemical characteristics through defect and interface engineering. The results show that the heterodimensional structure presents an efficient shielding effectiveness of 30.2 dB at 18 GHz. Heterodimensional structure exhibits a low overpotential of 279 mV, achieving a current density of 10 mA cm−2 and a desirable stability. In addition, based on the unique electrochemical properties and EM response characteristics of the material, a special protective helmet is innovated. The helmet incorporating an autonomous oxygen supply, advanced pressure surveillance, and dynamic stealth supports a more exhaustive safeguard for missions amidst noxious gases, and situations necessitating clandestine operations. This research provides a new idea for the development of multifunctional EM active materials, showing great application prospects in the fields of aerospace engineering, energy, and EM security protection.

Optimization of mechanical and electromagnetic interference shielding properties of expanded graphite/polyurethane composite foams

AbstractThe expanded graphite (EG) was used as a filler in EG/polyurethane (PU) composite foams for electromagnetic interference shielding (EMI). The EG/PU composite foams were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and SEM. The shielding effectiveness (SE) of the EG/PU composite form containing 5 wt% EG was −24 dB at 5 wt% in the 8–12 GHz range. The optimal EG loading was 3 wt% and the corresponding EG/PU composite foam had a total SE of −18.9 dB and fairly good mechanical characteristics (compressive strength: 13.43 MPa and compressive modulus: 4.95 MPa). These attributes position the EG/PU composite foam as a promising candidate for diverse EMI SE applications.Highlights Synthesis by thermal exfoliation and characterization by x‐ray diffraction, Raman and SEM of EG. Quasi-Hyperbolic Framework Graphite Foam-Based Composites with High Thermal Conductivity and Electromagnetic Shielding Properties Fabricated by an Electrochemical Expansion Method.

Nowadays, the rapid development of electronic devices requires composites with high thermal conductivity and good electromagnetic shielding properties. The key challenge lies in the construction of high-performance conductive networks. Herein, an electrochemical expansion graphite foam (EEG) with a quasi-hyperbolic framework was prepared by an electrochemical expansion method, and then the epoxy resin (EP) was filled to fabricate the composites. The graphite plate was first electrochemically intercalated and then foamed, in which plasticization was caused by weak oxidation in intercalation and the quasi-hyperbolic framework was induced by foaming during expansion. These processes were characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), micro-Raman, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and so on. Based on the highly efficient quasi-hyperbolic framework and high-quality graphite structure, the thermal conductivity of the composite reached 43.523 W/(m·K), and total electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding (SET) reached 105 dB. The heat transfer behavior was simulated by finite element analysis (FEA) in detail. This method of preparing high thermal conductivity and electromagnetic shielding materials has a good application prospect.

One-step aerosol synthesis of iron nanoparticles coated single-walled carbon nanotubes (Fe@SWCNT) for multifunctional composite textiles with electromagnetic interference shielding properties

Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) based nanocomposites demonstrate remarkable electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding potential. However, the efficient and rapid fabrication of SWCNT-based nanocomposite remains a technical challenge. This study successfully one-step synthesizes iron (Fe) nanoparticle-enriched SWCNTs (Fe@SWCNT) using the floating catalyst chemical vapor deposition (FCCVD) method in the aerosol phase. The aerosol-synthesized Fe@SWCNTs were directly integrated with carbon cloth (CC) and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) to develop a compelling nanocomposite film for multifunctional EMI shielding. The composite film exhibits exceptional shielding effectiveness of 50.2 dB in the X-band (8.2–12.4 GHz) with absolute shielding effectiveness (SSEt) of 3279.3 dB cm²/g. Notably, the film also displays rapid and uniform electrical heating at low voltages, reaching a temperature of 110.4 °C under a 1.0 V. Overall, this study reveals the potential applications of multifunctional textiles in fields such as EMI shielding, hydrophobicity, and thermal management.

Sustainable Geopolymer Structural Insulation Panels Obtained with the Addition of Power Plant Ash and Furnace Slag with Potential Uses in the Fabrication of Specialized Structures

The paper describes the process of obtaining geopolymer composites using raw materials from critical waste, i.e., mixed power plant ash and furnace slag powder. Using such geopolymer composites, structural insulation panels were made in the laboratory, which were subjected to tests specific to construction applications. At the same time, some special properties, such as sound insulation and electromagnetic shielding properties for special applications, were tested. The results obtained from the functional tests led to the conclusion that the panels made of geopolymer composites provided both sound and electromagnetic attenuation values clearly superior to those obtained from autoclaved cellular concrete, brick, or concrete structures, which encourages us to suggest such material concepts for complex shielding purposes. The sustainability of the technology for producing such geopolymer composites was fully demonstrated from the economic, environmental, and social perspectives.

Functionalization of Carbon Nanotubes in Polystyrene and Properties of Their Composites: A Review.

The inherent π-π interfacial interaction between carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and polystyrene (PS) makes the CNT/PS composite a representative thermoplastic nanocomposite. However, the strong van der Waals force among CNTs poses challenges to achieving effective dispersion. This review provides an overview of various CNT functionalization methods for CNT/PS composites, encompassing covalent grafting with PS-related polymers and non-covalent modification. A focus in this section involves the pre-introduction surface modification of CNTs with PS or PS-related polymers, substantially enhancing both CNT dispersibility and interfacial compatibility within the PS matrix. Furthermore, a comprehensive summary of the mechanical, electrical, thermal, and electromagnetic shielding properties of CNT/PS nanocomposites is provided, offering an overall understanding of this material. The surface modification methods of CNTs reviewed in this paper can be extended to carbon material/aromatic polymer composites, assisting researchers in customizing the optimal surface modification methods for CNTs, maximizing their dispersibility, and fully unleashing the various properties of CNTs/polymer composites. Additionally, high-performance CNTs/PS composites prepared using appropriate CNT modification methods have potential applications in areas such as electronic devices, sensors, and energy storage and conversion.

2D/0D multiscale interfacial engineering of carbon fiber composites for simultaneous achieving high mechanical and electromagnetic interference shielding properties

AbstractIn the face of escalating electromagnetic pollution, it is urgently needed to expedite the development of innovative carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) composites that not only demonstrate superior mechanical properties as well as durability but also boast exceptional electromagnetic interference shielding (EMI) performance. However, given the absence of robust interface interactions and the lack of an outstanding nanostructured conductive network, there remains a need to further elevate the overall performance of CFRP composites. Herein, a highly continuous conductive network by integrating 2D MXene and 0D Ag nanoparticles with strong interlayer interactions was constructed through point‐to‐plane conductive modes, facilitated by polydopamine (PDA). Thanks to the excellent electromagnetic wave loss and the unique multi‐dimensional structure arising from the optimizing interfacial engineering, the EMI shielding effectiveness of the modified CF‐PDA‐M‐Ag/EP composite achieved a remarkable 45.9 dB, obtaining a 99.5% enhancement compared with the neat CF/EP. The synergistic effect resulting from the multi‐dimensional structure and strong interaction can improve the interfacial shear strength (IFSS), interlaminar shear strength (ILSS) and flexure strength of the composite up to 81.9, 85.8 and 864.6 MPa, respectively, far superior to the unmodified composite materials. This research provides a dependable and convenient approach for exploiting high‐performance CFRP composites with intriguing electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding properties.Highlights An optimizing multifunctional 2D/0D interface for carbon fiber was designed. A highly conductive network via the point‐to‐plane conductive mode. The EMI shielding effectiveness of the composite reached up to 45.9 dB.

Influence and mechanism of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene on mechanical and electromagnetic shielding properties of alkali-activated composite mortar based on magnesium slag, blast-furnace slag and silica fume

Addressing the environmental impact of the magnesium industry's waste, our study presents a sustainable solution by repurposing magnesium slag, blast-furnace slag, and silica fume to create an innovative alkali-activated mortar (MBS-AAM). This research further explores enhancing electromagnetic (EM) shielding capabilities by incorporating ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) powder into MBS-AAM. The addition of 0.5 wt% UHMWPE significantly improves the EM shielding effectiveness of the MBS-AAM composite. Specifically, the modified MBS-AAM demonstrates compressive and flexural strengths of 55.0 MPa and 8.5 MPa, respectively, along with a 148.68% increase in EM shielding effectiveness compared to conventional cement mortar. This advancement is attributed to the optimized pore structure, featuring a higher proportion of smaller pores and reduced overall porosity. Our findings highlight a dual benefit: effective waste utilization and enhanced material functionality for EM shielding, offering a promising approach to sustainable construction and waste management within the magnesium industry.

Multi-Functional and Flexible Nano-Silver@MXene Heterostructure-Decorated Graphite Felt for Wearable Thermal Therapy.

Wearable heaters with multifunctional performances are urgently required for the future personal health management. However, it is still challengeable to fabricate multifunctional wearable heaters simultaneously with flexibility, air-permeability, Joule heating performance, electromagnetic shielding property, and anti-bacterial ability. Herein, silver nanoparticles (AgNPs)@MXene heterostructure-decorated graphite felts are fabricated by introducing MXene nanosheets onto the graphite felts via a simple dip-coating method and followed by a facile in situ growth approach to grow AgNPs on MXene layers. The obtained AgNPs@MXene heterostructure decorated graphite felts not only maintain the intrinsic flexibility, air-permeability and comfort characteristics of the matrixes, but also present excellent Joule heating performance including wide temperature range (30-128 °C), safe operating conditions (0.9-2.7V), and rapid thermal response (reaching 128 °C within 100 s at 2.7V). Besides, the multifunctional graphite felts exhibit excellent electromagnetic shielding effectiveness (53dB) and outstanding anti-bacterial performances (>95% anti-bacterial rate toward Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli and Staphy-lococcus aureus). This work sheds light on a novel avenue to fabricate multifunctional wearable heaters for personal healthcare and personal thermal management.

Analysis of Electromagnetic Shielding Properties of Cement-Based Composites with Biochar and PVC as Fillers

Biochar (bio-charcoal) is a low-cost and eco-friendly material. It can be obtained by thermochemical conversion of different biomass sources, for example, in the total absence of oxygen (pyrolysis) or in oxygen-limited atmosphere (gasification). The porous carbonaceous structure of biochar, resulting from the thermal treatment, can be exploited in cement-based composite production. By introducing biochar powder or other fillers in the cement paste, it is possible to enhance the shielding properties of the cement paste. The environmental impact of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) can be reduced by reusing it as a filler in cement-based composites. In this work, cement-based composites filled with different percentages of biochar and PVC are fabricated. The scattering parameters of samples with 4mm thickness are measured by mean of a rectangular waveguide in the C-band. The shielding effectiveness of reference samples without any filler and samples with biochar and PVC is analyzed. A combination of 10 wt.% biochar and 6 wt.% PVC provides the best shielding performance (around 16 dB).

Electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of needle-punched composite nonwoven fabrics with stainless steel fibres

In the study, electromagnetic shielding efficiency (EMSE) absorption and reflectivity properties of fabric produced from staple stainless-steel fibres and recycled staple polyester fibres by carding and needling technologies were investigated. The bi-component core/sheath polyester fibres at a fixed ratio of 20% in producing all nonwoven fabrics were used. The staple stainless-steel fibres and recycled staple polyester fibres were blended at 13 different ratios such as 1%, 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, 10%, 12.5%, 15%, 17.5%, 20%, 22.5%, 25%, 27.5%, 30%. The fibre webs were formed at wool type carding machine and then the folded webs were bonded mechanically with needle punching machines. Half of the produced nonwoven composite fabrics were bonded by thermal bonding technology with oven and calender machines. As the conductive fibres were costly, the study aimed to obtain optimum shielding effectiveness with the usage of minimum conductive fibres. Electromagnetic shielding properties, absorption and reflection characteristics of needle-punched nonwoven fabrics with calendered or un-calendered were performed by coaxial transmission line method according to ASTM-D4935-10 in the frequency range of 15 MHz to 3000 MHz. It is a known fact that electromagnetic shielding effectiveness increases with the increase in the amount of conductive fibre. It was found that nonwoven fabric produced with a usage of 17.5% stainless steel fibre has at least 90% electromagnetic shielding percentage in general use with 15 dB at a frequency of 1800 MHz. Increased stainless steel fibre content in nonwoven fabrics resulted in decreased nonwoven fabric thickness and tensile strength. Such a nonwoven composite material with electromagnetic shielding property could be used for construction and building applications.

Creation of Wood-Based Hierarchical Superstructures via In Situ Growth of ZIF-8 for Enhancing Mechanical Strength and Electromagnetic Shielding Performance.

Given the escalating prevalence of electromagnetic pollution, there is an urgent need for the development of high-performance electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding materials. Herein, wood-based electromagnetic shielding materials have gained significant popularity due to their exceptional performance as building materials. In this study, a novel wood-based composite with electromagnetic shielding properties is developed. Through the in situ growth of zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8) crystals on wood fibers, coupled with uniform integration of carbon nanotubes (CNTs), a multifunctional composite named ZIF-8/Poplar-CNT composite is synthesized via a one-step thermoforming process. The incorporation of CNTs endows the composites with excellent EMI shielding effectiveness (EMI SE). Among these elements, despite ZIF-8 crystals not possessing intrinsic electromagnetic shielding functionality, their distinctive dodecahedral structure proves adept at scattering and reflecting electromagnetic waves within the composites, further improving the electromagnetic shielding effect. Hence, the ZIF-8/Poplar-CNT composite (56.95dB) has ≈10dB higher EMI SE compared to that of the composites without ZIF-8 crystals. Meanwhile, ZIF-8 crystals endow the materials with excellent tensile strength (54.84MPa, enhanced by 4 times). Moreover, the introduction of Zn2+ provides superior antibacterial properties. The potential applications of ZIF-8/Poplar-CNT composites extend to diverse areas such as building decoration, electronic products, and medical equipment.
