Abstract The hybridize conventional grinding by Electrochemical machining consider as a electrochemical grinding (ECG) were used in present study. This process is referred to a typically a group of traditional and Non– Traditional machining process. It is a burr free and stress free material removal process wherein material is removed from the electrically conductive workpiece by simultaneous electrochemical reaction and mechanical abrasion. In this study an experimental setup of ECG was fabricated by very low investment. The grinding was performed on fabricated ECG setup by using different electrolyte. The result revealed that the electrolyte significantly affects the surface roughness and the 50% reduction in surface roughness was obtained. The result also compare with the conventional grinding with constant grinding parameter.
