Objective To investigate the effects of the implementation of clinical nursing pathway among spontaneous pneumothorax patients underwent operative. Methods Paired design was applied. Fifty control group. The average hospitalization days, cost, recovery after surgery, mastery of knowledge, and satisfaction degree of the two groups were compared. Results 1 day postoperation, effective expectoration rate of experimental group was 88.0%, control group was 20%, the difference was statistically significant(P <0. 01);The average hospitalization days in experimental and control groups were (7.6 ± 3. 0) days and (10.6 ± 4. 1)days respectively, the difference was statistically significant(P <0. 05); The cost between the two groups were not statistically different (P > 0. 05); The scores of patients' knowledge mastery in experimental and control groups were (23.6 ± 1.0) and (10.6 ± 4. 1) respectively, the difference was statistically significant(P <0. 01), the satisfaction degree scores were (9.7 ± 0.5) and (8.6 ± 1.7) respectively, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0. 01). Conclusions Clinical nursing pathway applying in spontaneous pneumothorax operation can promote patient's recovery, reduce the average hospitalization, improve knowledge mastery and satisfaction.
