How Do the TWO STAY TWO STRAY and Motivation Model Learning Affect Civic Education Result?

The teacher-centered approach has led students to feel bored and uninterested in the taught material. By choosing an appropriate learning model, it is hoped that a better understanding and interest in students will emerge, fostering a deep learning motivation. In this study, the chosen learning models were Two Stay Two Stray and Inquiry. The objectives of this research were: 1) to determine the difference in Civic Education learning outcomes between student groups taught with the Two Stay Two Stray and Inquiry learning models, 2) to examine the difference in Civic Education learning outcomes between student groups with high and low learning motivation, and 3) to investigate the interaction between the learning model and learning motivation in influencing Civic Education learning outcomes. The research was conducted at SDN 091713 Amborokan, involving fourth-grade students as the research sample. The research method employed was experimental research, utilizing a 2x2 factorial design. There were two classes involved in the study: an experimental class (IV-A) and a control class (IV-B). Data collected included Civic Education learning outcomes and student motivation data. The results of the research indicated that: 1. the learning strategy significantly influenced Civic Education learning outcomes with an F value of 58.775, 2. learning motivation significantly influenced Civic Education learning outcomes with an F value of 92.04, and 3. there was an interaction between the learning strategy and learning motivation significantly affecting Civic Education learning outcomes with an F value of 4.09. This study concludes that the selection of an appropriate learning model positively influences learning outcomes and motivation in students. It is recommended that teachers, as facilitators, should be capable of choosing suitable teaching methods to create an effective learning environment.

Investigating the Influence of Hybrid and Independent Learning on Student Learning Outcomes in European History Courses

The importance of implementing a hybrid learning model that combines face-to-face teaching with online computer-assisted teaching to create an integrated learning approach and student learning independence. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of hybrid and independent learning on student learning outcomes in European History courses. This study adopts a quantitative method and a quasi-experimental design. In collecting data the researchers used multiple-choice test techniques and questionnaires to examine students’ learning independence. The data analysis technique used is the Two-way ANOVA statistical test. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in student history learning outcomes for European history courses with "moderate" criteria with a score of 0.54 (0.3 N-Gain ≤0.7) after the implementation of hybrid learning. Hybrid learning has an effect on student learning outcomes in history education with a sig model value of 0.002, where the value is less than 0.05 (0.002 0.05). Independent learning has an impact on student learning outcomes with a sig questionnaire value of 0.042 where the value is less than 0.05 (0.042 0.05). In conclusion, in European history courses offered the learning model and learning independence has an impact on students' learning outcomes.

Using Simulation-Based Mastery Learning to Achieve Excellent Learning Outcomes in Physical Therapist Education.

The 2 aims of this observational study are (a) to describe the implementation and feasibility of a bed mobility skills simulation-based mastery learning (SBML) curricular module for physical therapist students and (b) to measure learning outcomes and student perceptions of this module. Simulation-based mastery learning is an outcome-based educational approach that has been successful in other health professions but has not been explored in physical therapy education. Eighty-seven students in a single cohort of a Doctor of Physical Therapy program. The SBML module in this pretest-posttest study included a pretest, instruction, initial posttest, and additional rounds of instruction and assessment as needed for all learners to achieve the minimum passing standard (MPS) set using the Mastery Angoff and Patient Safety methods. Outcome measures were bed mobility assessment pass rates and scores, additional student and faculty time compared with a traditional approach, and student perceptions of their self-confidence and the module. All students achieved the MPS after 3 rounds of training and assessment beyond the initial posttest. Mean Total Scores improved from 67.6% (12.9%) at pretest to 91.4% (4.8%) at mastery posttest (P < .001, Cohen's d = 1.8, 95% CI [1.4-2.1]); mean Safety Scores improved from 75.2% (16.0%) at pretest to 100.0% (0.0%) at mastery posttest (P < .001, Cohen's d = 1.5, 95% CI [1.2-1.9]). Students who did not achieve the MPS at the initial posttest (n = 30) required a mean of 1.2 hours for additional instruction and assessment. Survey results revealed an increase in student confidence (P < .001) and positive student perceptions of the module. Implementation of this SBML module was feasible and resulted in uniformly high levels of bed mobility skill acquisition. Based on rigorous learning outcomes, feasible requirements for implementation, and increased student confidence, SBML offers a promising approach for wider implementation in physical therapy education.

Enhancing Science Education Through the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) Learning Model: An Experimental Study on Process Skills and Learning Outcomes at Middle School

This study investigates the implementation of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) Learning Model, which emphasizes teamwork and individual accountability. Traditional teaching methods often fail to actively engage students in developing analytical and practical skills. The STAD model aims to enhance students' process skills and learning outcomes in science education. The research was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah Ambon with seventh-grade students from four classes. Two classes were randomly selected, with class VIIa as the experimental group (30 students) and another class as the control group (30 students). Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and multivariate analysis (MANOVA) with SPSS version 26.0. A quantitative experimental approach was employed, using a Pre-test, Post-test, and Non-equivalent Control Group design. Data collection focused on science process skills and learning outcomes. The results demonstrated a significant impact of the STAD model on improving learning outcomes and science process skills. There was a notable increase in average scores from pre-test to post-test in both experimental and control groups. MANOVA results (Pillai's Trace, Wilks' Lambda, Hotelling's Trace, and Roy's Largest Root) showed very high F-values, indicating significant differences between the groups in enhancing students' science process skills and learning achievements. The STAD model proved more effective than traditional methods, suggesting its integration into a collaboration-based curriculum. Effective implementation requires STAD-based teacher training, including team formation techniques, motivational strategies, and methods for assessing team performance. Adopting these recommendations can significantly boost student participation, teamwork skills, and overall learning outcomes.

Developing an entrustable professional activity for providing health education and consultation in occupational therapy and examining its validity

BackgroundEntrustable Professional Activities (EPA)-based assessment is easily and intuitively used in evaluating the learning outcomes of competency-based medical education (CBME). This study aimed to develop an EPA for occupational therapy focused on providing health education and consultation (TP-EPA3) and examine its validity.MethodsNineteen occupational therapists who had completed online training on the EQual rubric evaluation participated in this study. An expert committee identified six core EPAs for pediatric occupational therapy. TP-EPA3 was developed following the EPA template and refined through consensus meetings. The EQual rubric, a 14-item, five-point criterion-based anchor system, encompassing discrete units of work (DU), entrustable, essential, and important tasks of the profession (EEIT), and curricular role (CR), was used to evaluate the quality of TP-EPA3. Overall scores below 4.07, or scores for DU, EEIT, and CR domains below 4.17. 4.00, and 4.00, respectively, indicate the need for modifications.ResultsThe TP-EPA3 demonstrated good validity, surpassing the required cut-off score with an average overall EQual score of 4.21 (SD = 0.41). Specific domain scores for DU, EEIT, and CR were 3.90 (SD = 0.69), 4.46 (SD = 0.44), and 4.42 (SD = 0.45), respectively. Subsequent revisions clarified observation contexts, enhancing specificity and focus. Further validation of the revised TP-EPA3 and a thorough examination of its reliability and validity are needed.ConclusionThe successful validation of TP-EPA3 suggests its potential as a valid assessment tool in occupational therapy education, offering a structured approach for developing competency in providing health education and consultation. This process model for EPA development and validation can guide occupational therapists in creating tailored EPAs for diverse specialties and settings.

Optimizing Democratic Learning: Exploring the Efficacy of Demonstrative Methods Among Middle School Students

This research aims to evaluate the effect of implementing the demonstration learning method on improving student learning outcomes in Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) learning in class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Yogyakarta. The demonstration learning method was chosen because it was considered to provide direct experience to students, increase understanding of concepts, and improve their practical skills in applying Civics values in everyday life. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach through a single group control pre-test post-test design. The sample for this research was class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Yogyakarta who were divided into two groups, namely the experimental group who received learning using the demonstration method and the control group who received conventional learning. The research results show that the application of the demonstration learning method significantly improves student learning outcomes in Civics subjects. Data analysis showed that the average post-test score of the experimental group was significantly higher than the average post-test score of the control group. This indicates that the demonstration learning method is effective in increasing students' understanding of Civics material. The findings of this research provide important implications for educational practitioners to consider using demonstration learning methods in improving student learning outcomes, especially in Civics learning. Apart from that, this research also contributes to the development of learning theories and practices that are oriented towards student learning outcomes at the junior high school level.

The purpose of the study. to determine and evaluate the relative contributions of physical fitness and learning motivation to the learning outcomes of students in the 7–9 age range. Materials and methods. The purpose of correlation approaches is to quantitatively ascertain if and to what extent two or more variables are correlated. Data is analyzed using the statistical techniques of correlation and multiple regression utilizing the SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution Version 25) software. Before the advent of statistical methods for hypothesis testing. Use the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test (uji K-S) to check for data normality. Results. The coefficient of correlation for rx12y = 0.49 is indicated. Koefisisen korelasi signifikansi diperoleh F hitung 4,37&gt;t tabel 3,35, dengan distribusi t dengan α = 0,05 dan k = 2 sebagai pembilang dan (n–k–1) sebagai dk penyebut. In other words, there is a positive correlation between the Jasmani Motivasi Belajar and the Penjasorkes Learning Outcomes, which are 0,492 x 100%, or 0,24 x 100%, or 24%. Conclusions. Students' willingness and excitement to participate in physical education learning activities will be influenced by their motivation for learning. A learner who understands effective learning motivation would attempt to inspire themself to learn well. Since achieving satisfactory learning outcomes is one of the goals of the processes and activities that take place in the classroom, teachers are crucial in helping students develop motivation for learning and improving their physical fitness.

Impact of the Ulû Al- Ilm Model on Six Domains of Student Learning Outcomes in Islamic Religious Education

This study explores the application of the ulû al-'ilm model, a Quranic learning approach, to enhance Islamic Religious Education (IRE). The purpose of the study is to examine its effectiveness in improving six crucial dimensions of student learning outcomes: cognitive, affective, psychomotor, ethical, social, and spiritual. Employing a quantitative experimental methodology with a pre-experimental design, specifically the one-group pretest-posttest approach, the research utilized statistical analysis through SPSS. The findings highlight the effectiveness of the ulû al-'ilm model in advancing student learning outcomes. In the cognitive domain, there was a significant increase from 2.50% in the pretest to 40.00% in the post-test. A similar pattern emerged across the affective (16.25% to 43.75%), psychomotor (3.75% to 30%), social (11.25% to 35%), ethical (5.00% to 42.50%), and spiritual (2.50% to 71.25%) realms. The SPSS data supports the positive impact of the ulû al-'ilm model on riyâḍah 'amaliyah, facilitated through coaching, example setting, habituation, appreciation, and repetition during the IRE learning process. This study underscores the multifaceted benefits of integrating the ulû al-'ilm model in fostering comprehensive student development within the context of Islamic education.

The Influence of Tahfidz and Qiro'ati on Islamic Religious Education Learning Outcomes at Islamic Middle School "Al Hasanah" Bengkulu City

The purpose of research is to determine influence of the foundation program toward the result of Islamic Religious Education learning at Al Hasanah Islamic Junior High School, to know the influence of the Tahfidz program on improving learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education, and to know the influence of the Qiro'ati method on improving learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education at Al Hasanah Islamic Middle School Bengkulu City. The method used in this research is quantitative research approach, this type of research is non-experimental quantitative research. Research data collection techniques through observation, questionnaire, and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study using simple linear regression analysis with the help of a computer program SPSS version 16.0. The results of this research indicate is no significant influence between the Tahfidz program and the Qiro'ati method on improving the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education. Results of testing the hypothesis above, namely the F test, and the coefficient of determination that the foundation program variable (X) does not significantly influence the variable of learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education (Y). The contribution given by the foundation program variable (X) to the variable of increasing learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education (Y) is only 0.1% which is indicated by the determinant coefficient value of 0.1%. Thus it can be concluded that there is no significant influence between the Tahfidz program and the Qiro'ati method in improving the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education at Al Hasanah Islamic Middle School, Bengkulu City.

Purpose of the study: This research aims to investigate the challenges encountered in utilizing Google Classroom as a learning platform and its implications for motivating students in studying science, with a focus on identifying both internal and external factors affecting students' engagement and interest in the subject. Methodology: This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach to explore the challenges associated with using Google Classroom as a learning tool for motivating science study. Data collection methods include observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The analysis involves data reduction, presentation (Data Display), and conclusion drawing/verification stages. Data validity is ensured through triangulation of data sources, enhancing the reliability of the findings. Main Findings: The research highlights internal problems like difficulty with Google Classroom, limited smartphone access (1.03%), material comprehension issues, and insufficient teacher explanations. External challenges include lack of family support and teacher interaction. Solutions include providing internet data for infrastructure issues, motivational videos on Google Classroom, video-based learning, and student self-initiated learning via Google, YouTube, and books. Student motivation for science learning through Google Classroom is moderate at 56%. Novelty/Originality of this study: This research contributes novelty by scrutinizing the nexus between Google Classroom and student motivation in science education, addressing a significant gap in current literature. By elucidating nuanced challenges and implications for student engagement, the study offers fresh insights into optimizing digital learning platforms to enhance motivation and learning outcomes in science education amidst the evolving educational landscape shaped by technology.

Challenges in Implementing Educational Media in Madrasah

The purpose of this article is to identify the problems associated with the application of educational media in madrasahs. The article aims to improve the quality of learning media implementation to enhance students' understanding and effectively achieve their learning abilities. Using a literature review method, data and sources related to the topic were collected from national journals and relevant discussions. The findings reveal that major problems include the lack of creativity among teachers in creating or developing their own teaching aids and learning media, as well as the low interest of students in the commonly used learning media. Additionally, many educational institutions face issues with suboptimal learning media, such as insufficient quantity and components, poor quality, and limited accessibility. This study contributes to the improvement of educational practices by offering insights that can guide the development of more effective and engaging learning media in madrasahs, ultimately enhancing the overall quality of education and student learning outcomes. To address these issues, it is recommended that madrasahs invest in professional development for teachers to enhance their skills in creating innovative and effective learning media, increase funding to improve the quality and accessibility of educational resources, and actively involve students in the selection and development of learning media to ensure it meets their interests and needs.

The State of the Empirical Evidence for Interdisciplinary Learning Outcomes in Higher Education: A Systematic Review

Abstract: This review systematically synthesizes empirical evidence on learning outcomes of interdisciplinary learning. A meta-synthesis approach was used to synthesize data in two rounds, based on strict (n = 38) versus more lenient (n = 60) operationalizations of interdisciplinary learning. The results revealed a variety of interdisciplinary learning outcomes that were categorized into three overarching themes: 1) academic and disciplinary engagement, 2) metacognitive skills, and 3) perspective taking skills. Process results revealed that empirical evidence in the field is still in its infancy. The findings of this review can be considered as a starting point for the further operationalization of interdisciplinary learning outcomes, so that robust evidence for various aspects of interdisciplinary learning can be collected, and compared with other forms of learning such as cross or transdisciplinary learning.

Canva-assisted modelling the way strategy and students’ Islamic education learning outcomes

The teacher's lecture and question-and-answer learning method do not provide meaningfulness to students so that different learning strategies for the learning process need to be adopted. This study aims to determine the effect of the Modeling the Way strategy assisted by Canva media on the 4th-grade students' Islamic education learning outcomes. This type of research used a quantitative approach with a Pre-Experimental Design (non-design) in the form of a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study were fourth-grade students at SDN 2 Gulang Mejobo Kudus, with a total sample of 31. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and tests. The results of the t-test show that tcount = 5,380 ttable = 2,042, so Ha is accepted. The results indicate an effect of the Modeling the Way strategy on the fourth-grade students' Islamic education learning outcomes. The average result of the pretest is 63.71, and the posttest is 79.03. Therefore, there is a significant increase in the posttest learning outcomes using the Modeling the Way strategy compared to the pretest.

Enhancing Participatory Learning at SMP Negeri 2 Jaten Karanganyar through the Integration of Technology

The development of knowledge and technology significantly impacts literacy skills, essential for academic growth and school adaptation. Technology literacy is crucial for awareness and academic support, but a lack of technological knowledge can hinder education. To address this, the Indonesian government introduced the belajar.id platform, integrating Google Suite for Education (GSuite) to aid academic activities during the pandemic. Challenges like limited teacher-student interaction persist, necessitating the encouragement of electronic media and diverse educational material availability. They aimed to bridge teaching gaps, enhance technological skills, and ensure effective knowledge sharing, using participatory rural appraisal (PRA). The team of Research Group Data Information Knowledge and Engineering (RG DIKE) at the Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta conducted a study on technology literacy's importance for students in SMP Negeri 2 Jaten Karanganyar. It emphasized technology's role in disaster management and prevention, striving for a strategic approach to technology-based education. Training sessions were conducted on August 15 and October 26, 2023, focused on belajar.id, GSE, and OBS integration. Teachers played a key role in guiding and updating their GSE and OBS knowledge. In summary, these sessions aimed to equip teachers and students with vital GSE and OBS skills, enhancing education quality and learning outcomes.

THE INFLUENCE OF PARENTING STYLES AND STUDY DISCIPLINE ON THE LEARNING OUTCOMES OF PANCASILA EDUCATION FOR FIFTH GRADE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

This research aims to prove the influence of parenting on learning outcomes, study discipline on learning outcomes, and the influence of parenting styles and study discipline on learning outcomes. The research method used is a Survey. The population in this research are all fifth-grade students of Advent Tikala Manado Elementary School, totaling 42 students. The research data comes from primary data in the form 1of questionnaire entries and secondary data used is data on Pancasila education learning outcomes in the mid-semester exam. Data analysis techniques using descriptive statistical analysis techniques, data testing stages using normality tests, linearity tests, then multiple linear regression analysis tests, and hypothesis testing with partial tests or t-tests and simultaneous tests or F tests. The results showed (1) there is an influence of parenting styles on the learning outcomes of Pancasila Education for fifth grade elementary school students. (2) There is an influence of study discipline on the learning outcomes of Pancasila Education for fifth grade elementary school students. (3) there is an influence of parenting styles and study discipline on the learning outcomes of Pancasila Education for fifth grade students at Advent Tikala Manado Elementary School. Therefore, to improve learning outcomes, we must pay attention to and understand the factors of parenting styles and the application of student study discipline. Optimizing Item Construction in Diagnostic Mathematics Test

The diagnostic mathematics test is a critical tool for measuring students' abilities to understand and apply mathematical concepts, with the design of good test items being paramount to ensure validity. This study leverages Item Response Theory (IRT) models and Differential Item Functioning (DIF) methods to refine the construction of test items, specifically focusing on rational numbers. Engaging 929 junior high school students from three public schools in Cirebon, West Java The research utilized R Software to analyze the most suitable IRT models and investigate DIF methods. The findings underscore the efficacy of the Parameter Logistic 3PL model based on Akaike Information Criterion (AIC), Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC), -2 loglikelihood, and Standardized Root Mean Square Residual (SRMSR) values, alongside item fit, highlighting that nearly all analyzed items were suitable except one that required replacement. Additionally, the identification of items with significant DIF effects points to potential biases, suggesting avenues for enhancing test fairness and reliability. The study's broader implications extend to improving diagnostic assessment practices, informing item design in educational evaluations, and guiding future research towards creating more equitable and precise measures of mathematical understanding. This contributes to a nuanced comprehension of student abilities, offering valuable insights for educators, assessment designers, and policymakers aimed at fostering improved learning outcomes in mathematics education.
