Pendampingan Masyarakat Peduli Ekowisata Mangrove di Kawasan Mangrove Tanjung Batu, Kecamatan Sekotong, Kabupaten Lombok Barat, Nusa Tenggara Barat

Assistance to people who care about mangrove ecotourism in mangrove areas is one of the monitoring and evaluation activities to maintain sustainability and increase the effectiveness of ecotourism programs in mangrove areas. The aim of community service activities in the Tanjung Batu mangrove ecotourism area, Sekotong District, West Lombok Regency is a follow-up to the urgency and relevance of the community assistance program caring for mangrove ecotourism in the mangrove area as a strategic step in maintaining the sustainability of the mangrove ecosystem which can improve the welfare of the local community. This service method is carried out through a process of mentoring and community empowerment through several stages, namely: field surveys, interviews, discussions, and formulating solutions for sustainable mangrove ecotourism. The results of service activities show that the Tanjung Batu mangrove ecotourism area, Sekotong District, West Lombok Regency is in good condition with facilities and infrastructure to support tourism activities. Improving the quality of management of mangrove ecotourism areas can be carried out through a strategy of regular monitoring and evaluation of environmental (water) quality conditions, management, organizational structure (pokdarwis), and evaluation of ecotourism management, and involving community participation in sustainable management of Tanjung Batu mangrove ecotourism.

Impacts of Environmental Knowledge, Motives, and Behavior on Ecotourism

Trip cost indirectly reflects the perceived value (PV) related to a tourist destination, which can be influenced by knowledge, motivation, and behavior. This research investigated the relationship between PV and pro-environmental behavior (PEB). Moreover, the influence of environmental knowledge and motives on PEB was ascertained. Hikkaduwa National Park, Sri Lanka, was considered as a case study, and 235 visitors were interviewed for data collection. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was developed based on the proposed hypotheses. The average individual cost of traveling of local tourists is USD 4.7, which reflects the PV. The results revealed that motivation directly and indirectly impacts PV, and PEB positively influences PV. Environmental knowledge does not positively influence either PEB or PV. Motivating individuals to participate in environment-related activities is important for encouraging PEB and positively impacting value perception. As PEB influences PV in ecotourism areas, eco-friendly individuals will visit these areas as they value them more. Anthropogenic impacts are minimized if the visitors are environmentally friendly. Accordingly, this study highlights the desirability of promoting ecotourism and PEB for the environmental sustainability of marine habitats. The management of ecotourism destinations can develop strategies to use PEB to ensure the long-term survival of these areas.

Identification of Potential and Suitability of Bagek Kembar Mangrove Forest, Cendi Manik, Sekotong, Lombok Barat as a Tourist Attraction

Mangrove forests have various roles in the environment, and have the potential to be developed as ecotourism areas. The aim of this study is to identify the potential and suitability of the Bagek Kembar mangrove forest as a tourist attraction. Data collection was carried out at two stations, namely natural and rehabilitated mangroves. Samples were taken in plots measuring 10 x 10 meters for mangroves and mobile fauna, and 1 x 1 meter plots for sessile fauna. The Tourism Suitability Index is analyzed based on the number of species, density and thickness of mangroves, number of fauna species, and water depth at high and low tides. The research results show that the Bagek Kembar mangrove forest area is classified as suitable to very suitable for development as an ecotourism area. Tourist attractions that potential to be developed are educational, birdwatching and culinary.

PENDAMPINGAN INISIASI USAHA SOUVENIR BERBASIS ECOPRINT MANGROVE BAGI PENGELOLA KAWASAN EKOWISATA DESA TAMBAKREJO, KABUPATEN MALANG

Ecotourism is a form of tourism that still pays attention to the preservation of unspoiled nature (ecology), maintaining social culture (Social), empowering local communities around the area (economic), and can provide learning and education to the community or visitors (education). If one of these aspects is missing, it is necessary to evaluate the ecotourism. Clungup Mangrove Conservation Tiga Warna (CMC Tiga Warna) is located in Tambakrejo Village, Sumbermanjing Wetan District, Malang Regency. The ecotourism area here is managed by the local Sendang Biru community who are members of the Bhakti Alam Sendang Biru Foundation. Socio-economic problems are one aspect that needs to be resolved in an effort to impact community welfare. This Community service provided by training in ecoprint production and assisting in digital marketing and advertising for CMC managers and agents to decrease the sosio-economic tension.

Analisis Strategi Konservasi Ekowisata Mangrove Belawan Sicanang di Kecamatan Medan Belawan, Kota Medan

The mangrove ecotourism area in Belawan Sicanang Village, Medan Belawan District, Medan City is one of the marine ecotourism-based areas which has mangrove forests as one of its tourist attractions. The aim of this research is to determine the potential and conservation strategies for the Belawan Sicanang mangrove ecosystem in Medan Belawan District, Medan City. The method used in this research is descriptive method. Data analysis in this research uses data analysis in the form of primary data, namely observations, interviews, secondary data, namely literature studies and data obtained from related agencies as well as SWOT (Strengths, Opportunities, Weakness, Threats) analysis. The results of this research show that the Sicanang Mangrove forest has great potential in supporting the sustainability of the coastal environment and the welfare of local communities as well as providing various ecological, economic, tourism and social benefits or potential for humans and the surrounding environment. The conservation strategy includes replanting and maintaining the mangrove forest.

Community-based Sustainable Ecotourism at Tangkahan Tourism Destination, Langkat Regency

Ecotourism is a sustainable tourism method that uses local ecosystems and community culture to preserve nature and generate benefits. Tangkahan, an ecotourism area in Indonesia, has a history of forest exploitation and illegal logging. The local community is working to make it a sustainable conservation area. This research will explain Community-Based Sustainable Ecotourism in Tangkahan Tourism Destination, Langkat Regency. This descriptive research uses a qualitative approach, in-depth interviews, FGDs, observations, and focus group discussions, and uses data analysis techniques as suggested. The results showed that the management of Tangkahan Ecotourism involved cooperating parties such as the North Sumatra Natural Resources Conservation Centre, Gunung Leuser National Park Centre, Forest Management FMU, Conservation Response Unit, PT Perkebunan Nusantara II, Tourism Office, and two Tangkahan Tourism Area Villages namely Namo Sialang Village and Serdang Village. The Tangkahan Tourism Board manages the area, including marketing, guide services, and rescue efforts. However, land licensing issues, trust, and access difficulties hinder development. The development model should be open and community-based, integrating ecotourism development with other community activities. Critical programs include regulatory regulations, tourist facilities, infrastructure, human resources, cooperation, and collaboration with relevant parties.

Diversity and Distribution Patterns of Dragonflies in The Region Bagek Kembar Ecotourism, Sekotong

Dragonflies have an important role as environmental bioindicators, especially as indicators of the success of mangrove ecosystem restoration projects and their distinctive color has becomes an ecotourism attraction, so this research is important to do. This research aims to determine the diversity and distribution patterns of dragonflies in the Bagek Kembar Sekotong Mangrove Ecotourism area. This is an explorative descriptive study and was carried out between December 2023-January 2024. The research method used was catching dragonflies with insect nets following three transect paths along the river flow in the Bagek Kembar Sekotong Mangrove Ecotourism area. Analysis of species diversity data using the Shannon Wiener diversity index and calculation of the dragonfly distribution pattern index using the variance test. Based on the research results, 9 species of dragonflies were obtained, including 8 species of dragonflies (Anisoptera) and 1 species of dragonflies (Zygoptera). The diversity index (H') of dragonflies at the observation location is 1,866. The conclusion is that diversity of dragonflies at the research location is in the medium category. The distribution pattern of dragonflies at the research location shows that one Potamarcha congener species has a regular distribution pattern and the other 8 species that had groups distribution pattern.

Analysis of the feasibility of the Sei Bah Bolon rafting ecotourism object, Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra Province

Ecotourism is an embodiment of tourism activities that are focused on nature conservation, development and social, cultural and economic empowerment of the local community in the Sei Bah Bolon Rafting Ecotourism area. In order to optimally develop ecotourism in the region, a strategy for planning, utilization, control, institutional strengthening and community empowerment is needed by taking into account social, economic, ecological principles and involving stakeholders. This study aims to identify potential tourism objects and assess the level of feasibility of developing ecotourism objects for Sei Bah Bolon River Rafting Ecotourism, Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra Province. Data collection during the research was carried out by collecting data by direct observation and interviews. The variables analyzed in this study refer to the ADO-ODTWA Director General PHKA 2003 Guidelines for Analysis of Operational Areas of Natural Tourism Objects and Attractions and the Potential Development Strategy with the SWOT Matrix. The potential objects and attractions of the Sei Bah Bolon Rafting Ecotourism get a feasibility level with an index of 88.17% feasible to be developed into ecotourism.

Identification of the Potential for Development of the Rainforest Lodges Kedah Ecotourism Area, Gayo Lues District, Aceh Province

Aceh Province's natural resource wealth is diverse, offering natural panoramas, flora and fauna, and rainforest areas with attractive attractions for both domestic and foreign tourists. Forestry-based ecotourism has the potential to become a leading sector in the tourism industry. This research aims to map potential attractions, amenities, and regional accessibility of the Rainforest Lodges Kedah ecotourism area in Gayo Regency Lues Aceh Province. The area has unique natural resources, including beautiful flora and fauna, clear river flow, and tourist activities such as nature viewing, facilities, research/education, and sports. The area can accommodate up to 1,642 people per day. The ecotourism development strategy is in the quadrant one (I) SWOT matrix, allowing for optimal utilization of existing opportunities and support for aggressive growth

Development of cultural spatial concepts for the preservation of local culture and the environment in the ecotourism area of Tamansari Village

Areas designated as strategic tourism areas are those where tourism serves as the primary industry or has the potential to do so, as well as has a significant impact on one or more factors, such as the development of the economy, society, and culture, as well as the preservation of natural resources, the ability of the environment to support human habitation, and defense and security, through putting into practice the idea of ecotourism development, which is responsible tourism to natural areas that promote environmental preservation and enhances the well-being of locals. With a focus on local wisdom and a microcosm of Sundanese culture connected to Tamansari Village, the concept plan for developing the village's tourism areas combines ecotourism and local wisdom.

Implementasi greenhouse untuk mendukung agropark di Desa Tanjung Pinang II Kecamatan Tanjung Batu Kabupaten Ogan Ilir

Tanjung Pinang II Village is one of the districts in Tanjung Batu, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra, which is currently developing its potential to become a tourist village through an agro-park. However, the process of transforming the village into a tourism and educational area for the community has not yet implemented technology. Therefore, in this community service, a smart greenhouse was developed and implemented in Tanjung Pinang II Village. The methods used in this community service included situational analysis, greenhouse construction, counseling and training, as well as evaluation, analysis, and conclusion. The constructed greenhouse is equipped with temperature and humidity sensors to measure the conditions inside the room. The greenhouse is built with a steel frame and uses UV plastic for its roof and walls. The results of the community service showed that the village residents and the community benefited from the greenhouse in the process of developing Tanjung Pinang II Village as an ecotourism area.

Land Use, Built-Up, and Vegetation Index in North Halmahera Regency through Spatio-Temporal Analysis

Monitoring land use, buildings, and vegetation index of ecotourism areas in North Halmahera can support planning space utilization in urban areas for tourist areas as the concept of land use management and urban planning. This study offers ideas for analyzing the distribution of buildings, vegetation index, and land use in the mangrove ecotourism area of North Halmahera Regency using the spatio-temporal analysis method. The spatio-temporal analysis method comprises several stages: data selection, preprocessing, data integration, spatial analysis, temporal analysis, spatio-temporal analysis, data visualization, interpretation and understanding, and data visualization. The results of this study show that changes in the livelihood strategy of local people, from farmers and fishermen to traders, also affect land use patterns, from agricultural activities to economic activities, which triggers an increase in the number of buildings for production activities to product distribution. The implications of these findings on ecotourism development programs and policies and infrastructure development in the North Halmahera Regency are to consider community livelihoods and space or land use behavior in ecotourism areas based on vegetation, soil, and building index values. Thus, the intensification of building distribution and changes in vegetation index values from 2013-2023 reflect changes in people's livelihood strategies from agrarian activities to trade and from fishermen's activities to tourism transportation service providers.

Blood and Micronuclei Analysis of Tawes Fish (Barbonymus gonionotus) Correlation with Water Quality in the Boon Pring Ecotourism Area, Turen, Malang Regency

Tawes (Barbonymus gonionotus) is a type of endemic fish that lives in the Boon Pring Reservoir, Turen, and Malang Regency. This study aims to analyze the water quality and blood profile of Tawes Fish (Barbonymus gonionotus) in Boon Pring Ecotourism and to determine the relationship between water quality and fish health through their blood profile using the Canonical Correspondence Analysis (CCA) method. The results obtained after measuring the water quality during two samplings at both locations were that the temperature ranged from 21.7–27C, TDS 111–145 mg/l, TSS 2-4 mg/l, pH 6-6.7, DO 8–10.1 mg/l, BOD 0.44-0.98 mg/l, and ammonia 0.026–0.075 mg/l. Both locations are classified as having good or normal conditions. Observations on the blood profile of Tawes fish (Barbonymus gonionotus) are healthy and normal. The average number of erythrocytes was 2,586,667 cells/mm3, leukocytes were 60,500 cells/mm3, lymphocytes were 76.8%, monocytes were 1.4%, neutrophils were 3.3%, hemoglobin was 9.8 g/mL, hematocrit was 34.6%, and micronuclei were 12.3 cells/1000. The results of data analysis using CCA showed that all blood and micronuclei profiles of fish were affected by water quality parameters, both significantly and moderately to severely.

Community-Based Tourism Mangrove Swamp Ecotourism Based on Maqashid Sharia

Having a wealth of potential mangrove resources, Pagatan Besar village has the opportunity to develop a sustainable ecotourism sector. This development must be directed at minimizing negative impacts on the environment and ensuring that the welfare of local communities increases. This research aims to find strategies for developing mangrove swamp ecotourism potential in Pagatan Besar village by optimizing the role of the Community based on Maqashid al Syari'ah. Qualitative research using a case study method in the mangrove swamp ecotourism area found that the strategy applied in developing the tourism potential of the mangrove swamp ecotourism area in the region was to implement a transparent accounting system to manage ecotourism income and expenditure, forming a special team to allocate initial investment funds and on the necessary infrastructure, maintaining the security and comfort of tourists with regular security audits, updating the security system through technology such as CCTV cameras. Optimizing the role of the Community is carried out by involving residents in skills training programs in the mangrove ecotourism sector, regular meetings for input and ideas, overcoming gaps in cultural and religious values with cross-sector consultation groups involving religious, cultural and village government leaders in the integration of Maqashid values al Syari'ah in the ecotourism plan, increasing environmental awareness through healthy environmental education for tourists and residents in daily ecotourism activities.

POTENSI DAN KELAYAKAN KAWASAN EKOWISATA PADA BLOK PEMANFAATAN TAHURA BONTOBAHARI KABUPATEN BULUKUMBA PROVINSI SULAWESI SELATAN

This study aims to determine the potential and feasibility of Tahura ecotourism. This research was conducted in the ecotourism area of ​​the Bontobahari Tahura Utilization Block. The data analysis method was guided by the Guidelines for Analysis of Working Areas of Natural Tourism Objects and Attractions (ADO-ODTWA) of the Directorate General of Forest Protection and Nature Conservation of 2003 and was analyzed using scoring according to the criteria contained in the Guidelines for Analysis of Operational Areas of Operational Objects and Natural Tourist Attractions of the Directorate General of Forest Protection and Nature Conservation 2003. Calculations for each of these criteria use tabulation where the numbers obtained from the results of the assessment whose weight values ​​are guided by the Assessment of Working Areas of Natural Tourism Objects and Attractions of the Directorate General of Forest Protection and Conservation 2003. Ecotourism Feasibility Assessment Method with a predetermined value for each criterion. The potential and feasibility of Bontobahari Tahura ecotourism has the potential to be developed with a feasibility index of 84%.

AN AMBIGUOUS PERCEPTION OF SUMATRAN ORANGUTANS (Pongo abelii) BY LOCAL COMMUNITY IN TANGKAHAN, LEUSER ECOSYSTEM, INDONESIA

The interaction between the local community and orangutans is often perceived as mere conflict. Here, we delve into the intricacies of the local perceptions of orangutans by employing semi-structured interviews as a part of an ethnoprimatological approach. Our focus is on the Tangkahan ecotourism area, the Leuser ecosystem, Indonesia. Respondents were selected through convenience sampling. There are 16 respondents, the majority is Batak Karo ethnicity. Our findings reveal a complex and ambiguous local perception towards orangutans, encompassing both positive and negative aspects. In some cases, orangutans are perceived as pests to durian crops and potentially dangerous. In other cases, orangutans are also perceived as human resemble, attractions for tourism, and deserving of protection. We also found some folklore tells that orangutans are human relatives. The positive values of orangutans are likely influenced by ecotourism activities that actively involve the local community in management and development efforts.

Community Structure of Soil Insects in Bagek Kembar Ecotourism Area Sekotong West Lombok

Human activity in Bagek Kembar Ecotourism is increasing because it is a tourist destination and is close to residential areas. This activity has an impact on biodiversity, especially soil insects in the area. The aim of this research was to determine the structure of the soil insect community. This research is an exploratory descriptive research. Data collection was carried out 8 times in 2 months. Sampling was carried out at 3 stations, namely station 1 on the main ecotourism route, station 2 in the middle of the ecotourism area, and station 3 in the area near the coastline. Samples were taken using the pitfall trap method at 27 trap points. The research results found that 15 sub orders, 30 families, 40 species consisting of 2,525 individuals were found in Bagek Kembar Ecotourism. Station 1 found (825) individuals, station 2 (835) individuals and station 3 (874) individuals of soil insects. Hymenoptera has the largest proportion (31.2%), and the order Thichoptera has the lowest proportion (0.07%). Soil insect composition at station 1 (34%), station 2 (33%) and station 3 (32%).

Estuary Clean Up dalam Mendukung Pengelolaan Kawasan Pesisir Desa Sungai Nibung Kalimantan Barat

Desa Sungai Nibung is a coastal with high biodiversity, so this village has been designated as a conservation area in West Kalimantan with the main conservation target is mangrove. The mangrove ecosystem has an important ecological role, namely as a habitat for marine and coastal biota. A maintained ecosystem will protect the survival of the biota within it. Therefore, managing coastal areas is essential and a shared responsibility. One of the challenges faced in the management process in Desa Sungai Nibung is plastic waste pollution. This waste comes from disposal and runoff from land, which can enter rivers and the sea. Plastic pollution also comes from fishing activities, such as ship traffic, responsive fisheries, and cultivation. This waste needs to be appropriately managed because there is no final waste disposal site (TPA). Household waste and waste from several shops (plastic food and drink packaging) are dumped directly around the building. The accumulation of plastic waste will continue to increase. Therefore, cleanup activities were carried out to reduce plastic waste. Apart from that, this activity aims to educate activity participants about the negative impact of plastic waste on the environment. This community service activity was carried out by a lecturer in Marine Science, FMIPA, Tanjungpura University, who involved students from the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program. Beaches and coastal clean-up from macroplastic waste are carried out in residential areas, docks, and areas near fishing activities and ecotourism areas. Implementation of PKM activities consists of permission and coordination, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. The waste from activities varies from plastic bags, sachet packaging, and food containers to fishing lines. Plastic waste dominates compared to other waste. Participants' understanding concerning plastic waste pollution and its negative impact on the environment and aquatic organisms increased after the activity took place.

The Challenges of Developing Ecotourism Site from a Transportation Perspective Towards Creactive Industry Enforcement

This study aims to examine how challenges arise in the development of ecotourism areas from a transportation perspective on the enforcement of creative industries. This study was driven by the transportation needs of island communities and tourists to utilize creative industries with the spirit of sustainable ecotourism. Creative industry and sustainable ecotourism are Indonesia’s development priorities through the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. Qualitative research and a literature review were used in this study. The Karimun Jawa Islands Ecotourism Development was chosen because it is a conservation area and a creative industry market. Challenges from the transportation perspective provided by the government and third parties pay little attention to sea transportation routes that pass through conservation areas, namely the Panjang Island Conservation Area Line and Karimun Jawa National Park. There is indeed a sea route provided but several obstacles arise when passing through the conservation area. Second, if transportation is not handled it will have an impact on weakening the creative industry. Finally, the construction of new transportation routes is a solution to support sustainable ecotourism, besides that this new transportation route will have a positive impact on enforcing the creative industry.

Ethnobotanical and ecological study of medicinal plants of mangroves in Siak District, Riau Province, Indonesia

The mangrove forest in Kayu Ara Permai Village, Sungai Apit, Siak Regency, Riau Province, Indonesia, is a mangrove forest managed by the local community as the "Historic River" Mangrove Ecotourism Area. Mangrove forests have become a tourist attraction for many local and national tourists. The purpose of this study was to identify plants that have potential as medicinal plants in mangrove ecotourism areas of "Sungai Bersejarah" Kayu Ara Permai Village, Sungai Apit, Siak Regency, Riau Province. This study used a survey method in mangrove forests to conduct an inventory of the medicinal plants scattered throughout the area. Observations were made using a combination of the path and plot methods. The investigation was carried out by cross-checking the traditional use of medicinal plants by the surrounding community with the scientific literature. The results showed 7 species of medicinal plants from 5 different families, namely Avicennia alba, Rhizophora apiculate, Bruguiera parviflora, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Xylocarpus granatum, Sonneratia alba, and Acrostichum aureum. Mangrove density levels were in the sparse category (1,000 trees/ha) and had low diversity levels, with two dominant species, Rhizophora apiculata and Xylocarpus granatum.
