Soap on the market is purchased as a household necessity at a cheap or affordable cost. However, if you calculate the total cost of purchasing soap with the frequency of washing dishes and clothes for each family for an unlimited amount of time and for a long time, this will result in quite a large amount of expenditure for the family every month. Therefore, additional income is needed that can improve the family's economy. Based on this, the aim of implementing the community service program under the Community Entrepreneurial Assistant Lecturer Program (PDPWM) is to increase the insight and skills of students (i) SMKN 1 Palangka Raya regarding plants. local medicine typical of Central Kalimantan through counseling on the Introduction and Utilization of Local Medicinal Plants Typical of Central Kalimantan, namely the Galam Plant (Melaleuca leucadendron Linn.) as a fragrance and Ternate Telang (Clitoria ternatea) as a natural coloring in soap making. Training on making liquid hand-washing soap for students of SMKN 1 Palangka Raya has been successfully implemented. The output of this training is a liquid hand-washing soap product packaged in plastic bottles. Another result is the acquisition of knowledge regarding soap making along with the practices carried out by service activity participants

Beyond the pandemic: understanding the perceived changes in mental health of the elderly population

This study aimed to describe the mental health of the elderly before and after the COVID-19 outbreak using a qualitative approach. Ten elderly people volunteered to participate in offline semi-structured interviews. The data was analyzed using the interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) technique. The results of our study mentioned the differences in the mental health of the elderly during the COVID-19 outbreak and after the COVID-19 outbreak. The elderly felt the difference in emotional terms, such as being more relieved and happier because activities returned to normal. The elderly feel calmer when using religion as religious coping to overcome psychological problems that arise during the COVID-19 outbreak. During the COVID-19 outbreak, elderly people still working also feel the impact on the family's economy, which compounds the problem. Excessive coverage on social media also helped make the elderly more afraid of COVID-19. The study's results can help improve older people's mental health after COVID-19 by understanding their experiences and finding good ways to cope. It suggests that future research should look at specific ways to support older people's mental health, taking into account their special challenges and the role of social media in causing fear and worry about COVID-19.

Ekonomi Sosial Kehidupan Anak Koin Di Pelabuhan Bakauheni

Children's coin is a term for children who work as coin collectors at Bakauheni Port, Lampung. They usually swim in the middle of the sea to pick up coins thrown by ship passengers. This work is very dangerous and high-risk, but many children's coin continue to do it due to poverty and lack of education. This research aims to find out the portrait of the life and challenges of hildren's coin at Bakauheni Port. This research uses a qualitative approach by conducting in-depth interviews with children's coin, parents, and related parties. Children's coin face various challenges, among others: physical hazards, such as drowning, being hit by ships, and injured by corals; social hazards, such as discrimination and stigma; psychological hazards, such as trauma and depression. The results showed that children's coin in Bakauheni Harbor come from poor families living around the harbor. They dropped out of school because they could not afford education. Children's coin work to help the family economy. Recommendations to overcome the problem of children's coin in Bakauheni Port are: The government needs to improve the welfare of the poor, especially around Bakauheni Port; The government needs to provide education and training services for children's coin who drop out of school; The community needs to provide support and understanding to children's coin. This research is expected to provide a more comprehensive picture of the lives and challenges of children's coin in Bakauheni Port. The results of this study can be used as a basis for developing policies and programs to address the problems of children's coin.

Communication Experience and Self-Concept of Female Online Taxi Drivers in Bogor City

Nowadays, women are often constructed by society as individuals who are calm, gentle, thorough, and are in the domestic realm, such as the household, caring for children. However, there are women who choose to become online taxi drivers as their job, and the existing social construction that this profession is a masculine profession does not discourage female online taxi drivers from continuing to earn a living. The aim of this research is to find out how female online taxi drivers interpret their goals in carrying out their profession and their motives in carrying out their profession, as well as their communication experiences as online taxi drivers. The research results show that the average motive behind women in the city of Bogor choosing to work as online taxi drivers is economic factors, such as being a single parent or simply helping their husband with their family's economy to earn income from their work as an online taxi driver.

MENGATASI KESULITAN DALAM MENGAMBIL KEPUTUSAN KARIR MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN TRAIT AND FACTOR

The purpose of the research conducted was to find factors that cause students to experience difficulties in career decision making and help overcome difficulties in career decision making. This research uses a trait and factor approach. This type of research is qualitative case study. The research subjects were students of class XI electronics and XII graphical production at SMK N 1 Kalinyamatan. The data collection techniques used are observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The data analysis used is flow data analysis or flow (flow model analysis). The results of the study prove that the application of the Trait and Factor approach with the problem of difficulty in making student career decisions is effective in dealing with these problems. The problems of counselee I and counselee II have the same causal factors, which are differences of opinion with parents and the family economy and not knowing their talents and interests and not knowing about the world of work. The implementation of the trait and factor approach to the problem can be handled well, the counselee can make career decisions about his future and understand the consequences of the choices he makes.

Faktor-faktor Perkawinan Usia Muda di Nagari Pakan Raba’a Tengah Kecamatan Koto Parik Gadang Diateh Kabupaten Solok Selatan

This study aims to: 1) to find out the factors that most influence young marriage in Nagari Pakan Raba'a Tengah, Koto Parik Gadang Diateh District, South Solok Regency, and 2) to find out the social impact and economic impact of young marriage in Nagari Pakan Raba'a Tengah, Koto Parik Gadang Diateh District, South Solok Regency. This type of research uses qualitative methods. As for data collection by conducting observations, interviews, and documentation. The data source of this research uses primary data obtained and collected by researchers directly in the field and uses secondary data obtained from journals and related agencies. The results of this study reveal that the factors of young marriage are low education, family economy, already working, avoiding gossip slander, avoiding adultery, parental will, individual will, and getting pregnant outside of marriage in Nagari Pakan Raba'a Tengah, Koto Parik Gadang Diateh District, South Solok Regency and the social impact of young marriage in this Nagari in the form of a lack of interaction between couples who marry young and the surrounding community and the economic impact of young marriage in this Nagari in the form of difficulties in meeting the needs of life due to insufficient livelihoods.

Impacto del feminicidio en la salud mental y la economía de las familias de las víctimas en Ciudad Juárez

The purpose of this research was to evaluate the psychological and economic impact of femicide on the families of the victims in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. The study was designed and implemented under a mixed methodology with descriptive scope. Two specific objectives were established: 1) to estimate the expenses assumed by the families after a member has been a victim of femicide and 2) to analyze the perception that the families of victims have of suffering from depression and anxiety. Surveys and semi-structured interviews were applied to eight family members of victims to evaluate the economic consequences, self-perception and level of impact generated by four mental disorders: anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, panic disorder and depression. The results show a relevant impact on the family economy that, in addition to the mental disorders suffered, aggravate the situation of vulnerability of the families. About the psychological state of the members interviewed, the most common disorder was anxiety, followed by post-traumatic stress disorder and depression. This is important because the study showed that the families, despite the psychological effects, only recognize the negative impact on their finances when dealing with funeral and other post-death costs.

Achievement Motivation of Female Elementary School Teachers as the Backbone of the Family, as a Writer, as a Finalist for Outstanding Teacher in Mathematics at the Provincial Level, as a Private Tutor and Math Olympiad Teacher

The family is based on marital ties consisting of a husband, wife and unmarried children. With the turning of time, the family economy is getting bigger in daily needs, causing a mother to have to participate in earning a living to meet her needs in a family. The reason behind a housewife becoming the backbone of the family, there are two factors, namely internal and external factors. The research method used is qualitative research method. According to Creswell (2008), qualitative research methods define it as an approach or search to explore and understand a central symptom. The results of qualitative research are strongly influenced by the views, thoughts, and knowledge of the researcher because the data is interpreted by the researcher. This method does not use detailed questions, questions start with the general then go into detail. The description of achievement motivation in the subject is seen where the subject wants to show and prove to the old school where the subject teaches that the subject is able to develop. There are many factors that make the subject obtain achievement motivation in herself, namely: The subject has an environment with a high intellectual group, the subject is motivated by other writers in living life as a writerSubject is a teacher and also a housewife. The subject started teaching in 1997 and first taught in high school and then vocational school and stopped teaching due to marriage and then when he had children. The subject's initial motivation for teaching was only to prove that the subject could teach then when he stopped teaching and then returned to teaching his motivation was to replace the role of his husband who was not working at that time.

Improving The Quality Of Snack Food Businesses In Gamping Tengah Village, Krian, Sidoarjo

Gamping Village is a village in the Krian area, Sidoarjo, which is a busy route between cities. Several housewives there have businesses to support the family economy. One of the food businesses managed by Gamping village housewives is the "4W" brand snack business. The types of food produced are elephant ears, hidden beans, onion sticks and mini pastels. Based on real conditions, "4W" snacks have disadvantages, namely that the product easily "goes sour", the packaging is still simple, and it does not come with a label. The aim of this community service is to achieve quality products with attractive product packaging and label designs, as well as minimal oil products. The methods of community service activities are discussion, counseling and mentoring. The initial discussion was carried out with a direct visit to explore the problems and the agreement program being implemented. The counseling was attended by Central Gamping women who own snack businesses. As an example of developing quality food products, a mentoring program was carried out in one of the snack brands, namely the "4W" product. The program carried out on the "4W" product is the development of a simple spinner to reduce oil content so that the product life is longer. The “4W” product packaging was also changed to use a zippered standing pouch. The product is more attractive, easy to open and close, and practical to carry anywhere. Packaging becomes more informative with the addition of new labels. All service activities ran smoothly, supported by Central Gamping women and "4W" product owners

Gorkha Women as Forgotten Heroes in the Gorkha War Narratives

This paper aims to focus on how Gorkha women are left behind the curtain in terms of their role in the war history where their male Gorkhas’ bravery only is prioritized. When we turn the pages of the Anglo-Nepal Wars (1814-1816), the writers confidently say that the Gorkha warriors are back supported by women as well as children. However, they are shadowed by the description of the ferocious war performance of male Gorkha warriors such as Bir Bala Bhadra Kunwar, Amar Singh Thapa, Bhakti Thapa and so on. The only question is who the women warriors there are to support them attacking the English troops. Similarly, the Gorkhas serve the British Army and fight for Britain. For a long period during wars, they do not return home. During their service period, their wives remain at home to run all the family affairs such as raising children, caring the old parents, and cultivating land. The wives of those who die, get injured, and go missing have a burden of running family economy. They are compelled to keep all things well in the family. So, are not the Gorkha women as heroes as their male folks? The answer is sure to be- ‘Yes, they are’. This paper will certainly help future researchers in the area and also the government to manage new rules and concepts regarding Gorkha issues.

PERSEPSI MASYARAKAT TERHADAP PERAN GANDA PADA PEREMPUAN SEBAGAI WANITA KARIER DALAM MEMBANTU EKONOMI KELUARGA

This study aims to determine the dual role of women as career women in helping the family economy through a home kiosk business in Pekanbaru, Riau. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach. The results of this study show that economic motivation is the reason for women to perform multiple roles in moderate categories. The results also showed that in terms of perception and action of multiple role strategies, the majority of women want a balance between the two (the priorities of family and business). The last result, family welfare, objectively falls into the welfare category, and subjectively falls into the medium welfare category.

Posisi Tawar Perempuan Dalam Rumah Tangga: Studi Kasus Buruh Pabrik di PT. Kayu Lima Sejahtera

Women today must carry out their duties as housewives and must also work to help the family economy. This study aims to analyze the causes of the dual role of women in Anjir Serapat Village, and to determine the position of women who work in their families. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of field research. The research was conducted on female laborers at PT Kayu Lima Sejahtera in Anjir Serapat Tengah Village, East Kapuas District, Kapuas Regency, Central Kalimantan. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques through the stages of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results show that women work as laborers to help meet household needs, which has an impact on financial sufficiency and helps create household harmony. However, this does not always have a positive impact, but also has a negative impact on women because they have to feel exhausted due to having to do household chores. Family time is also reduced, which makes their children more independent and able to understand their parents' work, regardless of their young age. This research shows that the existing social construction in society about the role of a good wife only around the domestic can be broken. In the Anjir Serapat Village community, it is women who hold a more dominant public role.

Navigating the Aftermath: Exploring Business Decision-Making and Family Recovery in Palu, Sulawesi, Indonesia, After a Natural Disaster

This qualitative case study examines the decision-making process of a family that experienced a natural disaster in Palu. The participants of the study were Mr. FP, the head of the family, and his wife, Mrs. VP. Primary data was collected through in-depth interviews with FP and VP conducted by relatives who witnessed the family’s gradual recovery. Additionally, supporting data was gathered through data mining, including pre -and post-disaster photographs. The family, like many others, faced an unpredictable and devastating event that not only resulted in the loss of their main source of livelihood but also inflicted deep trauma. The study aimed to delve into this family’s experiences when confronted with an unexpected disaster, exploring the impact they faced, the recovery process they undertook, and the factors influencing their decision-making, with particular emphasis on the head of the family. The head of the family played a vital role in family dynamics, making their decision-making process of great importance. The primary objective of this research was to gain a deeper understanding of the experiences of family members, particularly the head of the family, as they navigate the challenges of post-disaster recovery, specifically focusing on decision-making in economics and finances. By comprehending their experiences and decisions, the study sought to shed light on how families can rebuild their lives, particularly in terms of achieving economic and financial stability. Narrative analysis was employed in this study, as it allowed for an exploration of the experiences and decision-making of natural disaster survivors in a subjective and unrestrictive manner. This analysis enabled the capturing of the narratives shared by Mr. FP and Mrs. VP, the main informants, and facilitated the interpretation of supporting documents. Consequently, the collected data yielded rich and in-depth insights, further strengthening the findings of this research. Entrepreneurship Training for Housewives to Improve the Family Economy in Semparu Kopang Village, Central Lombok

Entrepreneurship training in Semparu Village, Kopang, Central Lombok, aims to enhance family economies through the empowerment of housewives. This activity involves 20 housewives as direct partners. The implementation method includes preparation and execution phases, where materials are delivered through lectures and question-and-answer sessions to improve understanding of entrepreneurship. The training results show an increase in understanding of business management and practical skills, particularly in the production of papaya crisps, which demonstrate good market potential. Participants, who previously had little economic activity, now have the skills to start their own businesses, create job opportunities, and support community independence and empowerment. Recommendations for the future include ongoing monitoring and mentoring to ensure the application of the knowledge gained in facing business challenges. Additionally, it is recommended to expand similar training to other villages in Central Lombok to increase the broader economic impact. This activity not only facilitates short-term solutions through training but also lays the groundwork for sustainable development that supports economic independence and empowerment in Semparu Village.

Penyadaran Perilaku Masyarakat Terhadap Ketersediaan Produksi Tanaman Lokal Berkelanjutan di Negeri Sila Kecamatan Nusalaut Kabupaten Maluku Tengah

The results of local terrestrial natural resources in the archipelagic region, especially indigenous communities in the Petuanan region, are superior potential that they possess as assets, both individually and collectively. This ownership has economic value to support the welfare and fulfillment of family needs, from the perspective of community tradition or culture, the potential of local natural resources as an identity and inheritance of the value of managing and utilizing the surrounding nature from ancestors in the past to the present. In fact, the meaning of inheriting these values ​​is the strategic steps taken by parents in the past to provide local food availability for the benefit of continuing the economic security of their children and grandchildren in the future. If we look closely at the goals of the ancestors in the traditional areas of Maluku, they have the view that it is the responsibility of parents to provide certainty of life for their offspring, so that they can now be seen enjoying it. As a result of this pattern of action, the community is not aware of the rejuvenation process in the context of sustainability. Sila Village, Nusalaut District, Central Maluku Regency is relatively faced with this reality, therefore efforts need to be made to create awareness in community behavior regarding the importance of maintaining the sustainability of local plants as a superior potential to support the family economy in the future. This is also a strategic step to maintain the sustainability of local crop production and regional identity.

Family income is one of the important things that needs to be increased as an effort to improve welfare. This community service is carried out through three stages, namely design, implementation of activities, and evaluation. Community service activities with PKK partners in Dukuharum village, Megaluh sub-district, Jombang district, East Java, in the form of entrepreneurial training for processed food products for housewives attended by 30 people, had a positive effect on efforts to increase family income. THE ROLE OF MIGRANT WORKERS IN IMPROVING FAMILY WELFARE THROUGH THE PERSPECTIVE OF ISLAMIC ECONOMIC LAW

This research aims to answer the question about the understandings of Islamic Economic Law on the Role of Women Workers Abroad in Improving Family Economic Welfare (Study in Panggungrejo Village, Gondanglegi District). This research uses a qualitative research methodology, using a descriptive approach. The primary data sources of this study are interviews, observations, interviews, and documents analysis. the theory has been adjusted in this study, namely, (the role of female workers in the welfare of the family economy) Participation of overseas female workers has an important role in improving the welfare of the family as a whole. They can buy the various daily necessities, have a private vehicle , build houses, and buy land. Their lives are included in the prosperous category, which differentiates them from their previous lives and other societies. Meanwhile, in the perspective of Islamic Economic Law, the participation of women workers abroad played an important role in improving people's welfare. Based on the research results, their participation is in accordance with Islamic principles. The fulfillment of this welfare are based on the indicators described in the Al-Qur'an. The income earned by women who work as TKW abroad can help them meet basic needs such as adequate consumption, as well as creating a sense of comfort, security and peace.

The research results show the influence of Jambi Batik entrepreneurship in improving the family economy in Jelmu Village by improving production, distribution, marketing and marketing techniques, in the sufficient category.

Implementation of solopreneurship in women farmers groups (KWT) with utilization of local food to improve food security and family economy

Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on the economic and business sectors in Indonesia. The pandemic has affected household food security not only in the economic sector but also in the household sector. The number of households experiencing food insecurity has increased as they cannot meet their food needs. In Sleman Regency, a forum for women farmer's groups (KWT) sells local food. One quite active is in Moyudan and Minggir Region, but the sales are not optimal, and not all have received training. Therefore, this study aims to see changes in KWT's knowledge, improve their marketing after training, and increase their economic status. Methods: This research was conducted in Sleman Regency, DIY. The training target involved the KWT in Moyudan and Minggir Region forums. We collected primary data from KWT characteristics (24 groups) and pre-post-test scores for each training (46 and 27 participants). The activities include 1) socialization of the program and bazaar of KWT products; 2) training of KWT; 3) packaging design and accompaniment; and 4) developing module training. Results: Most of KWT produces dry foods, such as vegetable and fruit chips, and shredded. Most of KWT's businesses (75.0%) are still running, although some have stopped due to difficulty in promotion during the pandemic. The obstacles experienced by KWT were using technology, arranging home industry food permits (P-IRT), and marketing. Training 1 and 2 pre-tests and post-test results increased only a little since the participants already had good knowledge (62.5% and 85.5% mainly answered correctly). However, many participants still answered incorrectly regarding the halal certification and food licensing. Ten KWTs succeeded in designing product logos and were assisted in making new, more attractive designs. Conclusion: The accompaniment can help KWT maximize its potential to improve the community's economic status.

Sustainable prototype with IoT implementation for remote monitoring of Apis mellifera apiaries in maya regions of Campeche, Mexico

Currently, beekeeping activities are being abandoned in the Camino Real region, which encompasses the communities of Tenabo, Hecelchakán, Dzitbalché and Calkiní, where the Tren Maya railroad lines cross, impacting indigenous beekeepers by modifying the land usage of the territory in section 2, presenting great deficiencies in these practices that are fundamental for the economy of families. This article proposes the design of an Internet of Things (IoT) based monitoring station prototype, which will measure the following variables: humidity, indoor temperature, outdoor temperature, average population and whether the box is open or closed; the information will be acquired by sensors and sent to an ESP32 microcontroller. Three essential components are required for its operation: Installation of a LAN Network, development of the IoT prototype and the Mobile Application. The purpose of the study is to design and deploy the prototype in Apis Mellifera Apiaries using a quasi-experimental and descriptive methodology, destined to improve the production of apiaries in the northern region of the state of Campeche, providing beekeepers with timely information of the hives for effective decision making.
