AbstractThe purpose of this work is to highlight the views of epistemic communities, but also to support the political decision‐makers for the elaboration and implementation of the Green Deal in the central–southeastern part of the European Union. The investigated states were chosen from the last enlargement's waves. The analysis of this article illustrates the capacities of the Member States from the investigated region to implement the Green Deal and to adapt the involved policies to the new architecture's security from the Eastern neighborhood. The improvement of food and energy security, environmental protection, and the industrial production supply chain, but also social protection and international cooperation, are among the policy recommendations revealed by this study.
