Research on the effect of e-commerce adoption in improving farmers' income and welfare in the context of digital economy

In the era of digital economy, e-commerce, as an important economic model with the characteristics of the times, has a profound impact on the development of rural economy, and e-commerce of agricultural products has become a new driving force to promote agricultural industrialization, digitalization and increase farmers' income. Considering the sample selection bias and endogeneity, this paper uses multiple regression model to benchmark and two-stage regression to measure the effect of e-commerce participation on the improvement of farmers' business performance, and finds that the adoption of e-commerce of agricultural products is helpful to increase agricultural income, but it is not as significant as the impact of land area, and even less than the factors affecting income such as labor force and brand building. However, the positive impact of the adoption of e-commerce of agricultural products on farmers' income will increase with the deepening of their e-commerce adoption, especially in the later stage, and the network scale effect will be gradually released.

TAM-Based Study of Farmers’ Live Streaming E-Commerce Adoption Intentions

Amidst the digital economy surge, live streaming e-commerce of agricultural products has significantly boosted agricultural prosperity. Investigating farmers’ behavioral intentions toward adopting live streaming e-commerce holds critical importance for fostering agricultural healthy and swift growth. Utilizing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as a foundation, this study incorporates three additional variables—government support, platform support, and social learning—to devise a theoretical model. It takes the agriculture-related live streaming e-commerce platform as an example, with 424 Chinese farmers as the sample, to quantitatively assess the factors that impact the intentions to adopt live streaming e-commerce behaviors. The findings indicate that, firstly, the TAM is applicable to the assessment of farmers’ intentions to adopt live streaming e-commerce. Secondly, government support positively impacts perceived usefulness, social learning enhances perceived ease of use, and platform support positively impacts both perceived ease of use and usefulness. Lastly, the technology acceptance extension model applicability varies among farmer groups: government support influence on perceived ease of use is more significant among traditional farmers, social learning impact on perceived ease of use is higher in farmers with higher education levels, and platform support effect on perceived usefulness is stronger among farmers experienced in e-commerce. Therefore, differentiated promotion strategies by the government are necessary, and e-commerce platforms should leverage their technology to offer efficient services and encourage farmer education. A multi-party collaboration model involving the government, platforms, and farmers is essential to collectively foster the healthy development of rural live streaming e-commerce.

Digital Intelligence Analysis for the "First Mile" of Agricultural Product E-commerce Supply Chain

At present, with the continuous development of Internet technology, the development trend of "Internet plus agriculture" is increasingly obvious. With the increasing attention of the academic community to rural e-commerce, the supply chain management of agricultural product e-commerce has become one of the key research topics today. However, there is still a research gap on how to achieve efficient and precise integration of the "first mile" of agricultural product e-commerce supply chain, lacking a unified understanding and solution. Therefore, this article focuses on the digital intelligent countermeasures for the e-commerce supply chain of agricultural products in the "first mile". Firstly, analyze the current development status of agricultural product e-commerce and the specific reasons that affect the precise integration of smallholders and e-commerce enterprises, and then conduct strategic research to provide digital solutions for achieving the "first mile" e-commerce supply chain of agricultural products. The research results of this paper can provide decision-making guidance for the digital and intelligent development of agricultural product e-commerce supply chain, and promote the continuous development of "Internet plus agriculture".

Research on the Influencing Factors of Cross-border E-commerce Development of Fresh Agricultural Products under the Internet Environment

Abstract This paper analyzes the current situation of cross-border e-commerce of fresh agricultural products in China regarding import and export trade, e-commerce development and logistics services, and summarizes the existing problems and influencing factors. Through the establishment of AHP-fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model, according to the established index system, the weight of each index factor is determined by using hierarchical analysis, and the importance degree of the influencing factors is calculated using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. The results show that among the primary indicators, the supply of fresh agricultural products has the highest influence, with a score of 4.49. Among the secondary indicators, the quality of new farm products and cross-border e-commerce trading platforms have a very high degree of influence, with scores of 4.714 and 4.518, respectively. The study provides a vital decision-making support for optimizing the development of cross-border e-commerce for fresh agricultural products.

Exploration of cross-border e-commerce and its logistics supply chain innovation and development path for agricultural exports based on deep learning

Abstract This paper studies the cross-border e-commerce of agricultural products and its logistics supply chain collaborative management approach, the overall transaction mode and basic content, and proposes a cross-border e-commerce supply chain conceptual model. Aiming at the problems of agricultural product supply chains, a method for predicting agricultural product export prices is proposed. The Prophet algorithm under deep learning is utilized to construct the Prophet agricultural product price prediction model for trend, cycle, and holiday terms. Over the introduction of RNN algorithms and LSEM algorithms to optimize the prediction performance of the model, as well as the gradient explosion. On this basis, GRU neural networks are proposed as an improved model of RNN-LSTM. Prediction comparison experiments are designed to empirically analyze agricultural export price prediction and supply chain logistics risk control, and the results of the empirical analysis show that the vegetable export price predicted by using Prophet algorithm during the period of date 2013/4-2013/9 is 2.975, which differs from the actual price by 0.009 yuan, and the margin of error is in the interval of [-0.091,0.014], which is the smallest variation among the three algorithms, which shows that Prophet model has the best performance. After optimizing the FAPSC risk control coefficient, the risk value of supply chain logistics and transportation was successfully reduced from 0.364 to 0.296, and FAPSC effectively minimized the risk.

Study on Peasant Household’s Willingness to Continue Using E-Commerce Platform for Agricultural Products

The agricultural product e-commerce platform enables users in agriculture-related fields to complete online production, sales, trading, and payment. This paper employs a structural equation model to empirically examine the significant positive impact of platform environment, trust, satisfaction, polyfunctionality, operation cost, and other factors on peasant households’ intention for continuous use. This is achieved through the collection of questionnaires and the development of hypotheses and models using structural equation model (SEM). The platform environment, trust, satisfaction, and MF all benefit from lower operating costs.

SWOT Analysis of Agricultural Products E-commerce Live Delivery PlatformTake Oriental Selection as an Example

With the development of mobile Internet technology and the advent of the epidemic era, the new sales model of on-site delivery with goods is booming and accepted by more and more consumers. This paper takes "Oriental Selection", a live-streaming platform of agricultural products owned by Beijing New Oriental Education and Technology Co., Ltd. as an example, and uses SWOT analysis to study the advantages and disadvantages, opportunities and threats of Oriental Selection at present. In addition, our research puts forward a series of suggestions for the future development of Oriental Selection, such as strengthening personnel and cargo management, strengthening cooperation with local governments, establishing their own supply chains, and controlling the quality of agricultural products. Finally, we describe the limitations of the current research from the perspective of research methods and propose specific suggestions for further research in the future.

E-commerce brand authenticity perception model of territorial characteristic agricultural products based on fuzzy cognitive map and emotional analysis

Brand authenticity perception is essential for territorial characteristic agricultural product e-commerce studies. From the complexity of consumer perception of brand authenticity, an e-commerce brand authenticity perception (EBAP) analysis model is proposed based on fuzzy cognitive map (FCM) and emotional analysis of online comments. Firstly, LDA model and snowNLP tools extract consumer perception attributes and their emotional inclination. After that, FCM and improved Bonferroni mean (BM) operator are used to accurately analyze the interrelationships between different attributes and comprehensively evaluate the brand authenticity of different enterprises under the same characteristic agricultural product. Finally, the model comparison experiment results show that the model proposed can reflect the “attribute importance” and “emotional inclination” of the e-commerce brand authenticity perception of territorial characteristic agricultural products. Among them, “platform logistics” and “product benefits” are essential in promoting the authenticity of brand-consumer relationships. Meanwhile, “e-commerce aftersales service” is closely related to the positive evaluation of “platform logistics” and “product benefits.” This study expands the methodical approach to brand authenticity perception research; it provides a valuable reference for developing modern fine granularity management of e-commerce brand authenticity for characteristic agricultural products.

In recent years, under the dual influence of policies and the environment, e-commerce with agricultural products as a category has developed rapidly, and live broadcasting has become a new trend in helping farmers. Among the many subjects participating in the live broadcast of agricultural products, there are many rookies who have risen, and the popularity of Oriental Selection is an example. The rise of webcasting and short videos has enabled e-commerce of agricultural products to continuously innovate sales methods. As an e-commerce entity focusing on agricultural products on the road of New Oriental’s transformation, Oriental Selection has chosen a distinctive live broadcast mode. This article takes Oriental Selection, a live broadcast platform under New Oriental Group, as a case study, and uses common marketing strategies as an entry point to study the current agricultural product + live broadcast mode and its existing problems. Finding out why Oriental Selection is so popular with consumers.To put forward corresponding optimization measures, the most important thing is to ensure the quality of products, to have a stable supply chain system, and to build product brands. It is recommended that it work hard on product selection and transparency of product information data, establish price transparency between consumers and farmers, and then use diversified live broadcast modes to promote live broadcast sales of agricultural products e-commerce. In this way, it can better provide a reference path for other future live broadcast delivery entities.

Analysis of digital information management of green ecological agriculture in the Northeast of my country under the environment of Agricultural products e-commerce

With the rapid development of China's regional agriculture, its consumption of energy, the squeezing and encroachment of the environment and the pollution of the ecological environment have been put on the agenda, which stems from the unreasonable management and regulation of the rapidly developing agricultural infrastructure. Aiming at the evaluation index cluster of agricultural management in Northeast China, the main structure of the digital information management platform of green ecological agriculture we built is divided into the variable layer, middle layer and evaluation index layer, which is a superimposed and progressive layer structure design. The results show that compared with 2018, the use index of electronic agricultural products, per capita greening index, soil organic matter content index and per capita water content index increased by 30.34%, 6.14%, 25.34% and 30.26% respectively in 2019. The index of per capita desert land area decreased by 10.97%. The Sustainability Index experienced an unusual decrease in 2017-2018, with a drop of 0.08. Compared with 2018, the green ecological index from 2019 to 2021 increased by 5.94%, 8.58% and 12.87% respectively. This guides the structure and design of China's future agricultural development.

Based on the introduction of the concept and characteristics of cold chain logistics for agricultural products e-commerce, this article explains the rapid development of e-commerce and the application of the Internet of things in cold chain logistics have brought earth-shaking changes to people's consumption patterns, the current deficiencies in the cold chain logistics management of agricultural products and the urgent needs for the application of the Internet of things information system, and analyzes the application of Internet of things in different stages of cold chain logistics for fresh agricultural products such as pre-cooling at the place of production, processing and packaging, cold chain transportation and sales. Research conclusions show that by using Internet of things to optimize the cold chain logistics system of fresh agricultural products as a whole, building a fast, effective, and full traceable cold chain IOT information system can promote the efficient and stable development of cold chain logistics and transportation of fresh agricultural products.

Research Progress and Hot Topics of Agricultural Products E-commerce in China

E-commerce of agricultural products is an important way for transforming the mode of agricultural development, adjusting agricultural structure, and increasing farmers' income. To grasp the research hotspots and development trends of agricultural products e-commerce, this article uses the CNKI database as the data source, retrieves 2238 literatures with the title of "e-commerce of agricultural products" or "agricultural products e-commerce" as the analysis sample, and adopts research methods such as literature metrology, content analysis, and visualization to reveal the research reviews, hot topics, and development frontiers of agricultural products e-commerce. The results show that the research on e-commerce of agricultural products has entered a relatively mature period, and its research hotspots mainly revolve around "the supply chain of e-commerce of agricultural products", "the development issues of e-commerce of agricultural products", "the development models of e-commerce of agricultural products", "the marketing of e-commerce of agricultural products", and "the platforms of e-commerce of agricultural products". In recent years, scholars have focused on research frontiers such as "precision poverty alleviation", "influence factors", "rural revitalization", and "big data".

Government Subsidy Strategies Considering Greenness on Agricultural Product E-Commerce Supply Chain

Based on the Stackelberg game theory, this paper explores the incentive effects of five government subsidy strategies on agricultural products in e-commerce. A two-tier e-commerce supply chain of one farmer and one e-commerce platform is constructed to examine the impact of five different government subsidy strategies on the greenness of an agricultural product, the wholesale price, the selling price, and the profit of the supply chain. The results show that the effect of offering government subsidies is significant. Also, the direct subsidization from the government to a farmer has the maximum effect on the sales and greenness of the agricultural product. The results of this study provide policy implications for governments in establishing a sustainable mechanism through direct subsidization.
