Abstract In this paper, employing advanced multiple Lyapunov functions (MLF) technology, we conduct a thorough investigation into the fault-tolerant characteristics of actuator saturation-based systems, particularly those prone to failures. Based on this comprehensive analysis, we carefully design an anti-windup (AW) controller, incorporating an efficient AW compensator and precisely calibrated gains for the dynamic state feedback controller, tailored to meet the specific needs of practical control systems. To further demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach, we also provide a detailed numerical example.
