The training needs of primary school leaders in Al-Kharj governorate in light of the transformational leadership requirements: الاحتياجات التدريبية لدى قائدي المدارس الابتدائية بمحافظة الخرج في ضوء متطلبات القيادة التحويلية

The study aimed to determine the training needs of primary school leaders in Al-Kharj governorate in light of the transformational leadership requirements from their point of view regarding the dimensions of (leadership attractiveness - inspirational communication - mental stimulation - personal appreciation). The researcher used the descriptive survey approach. It was applied on a sample of (44) Leader in primary schools in Al-Kharj governorate and the tool was a questionnaire. The results of the study revealed; The tool obtained an overall mean (3.38 out of 4) at the dimensional level; The leadership attractiveness dimension got the highest average (3.50 out of 4), then after inspirational communication with an average (3.40 out of 4), then after personal appreciation with an average (3.37 out of 4), and finally after mental stimulation with an average (3.26 out of 4), all of them rated as need (big); based on the results of the study, the researcher presented a set of recommendations and proposals.

Influencers on Social Media as References: Understanding the Importance of Parasocial Relationships

Audiences’ purchase intentions are vital to the success of influencers on social media. This research examined how interpersonal attraction enhances parasocial relationships (PSRs) between influencers and audiences on social media, and how such parasocial relationships, in turn, affect audiences’ continuance intention. Interpersonal attraction contains three dimensions: task attraction, social attraction, and physical attraction. The results indicated that the three dimensions of interpersonal attraction significantly affected PSRs. The results also showed that informational influence and perceived credibility strengthened the relationship between PSRs and purchase intentions. Moreover, online comments positively moderated the effect of PSRs on informational influence and perceived credibility. The implications and suggestions for future research are also discussed.

Kredibilitas Influencer Dalam Mempromosikan Produk MakeOver Cosmetics Di Kalangan Mahasiswa

Abstract: The credibility of social media-based influencers has become an important factor in consumer decision making. The study aimed of this study was to see how the influencers' credibility in MakeOver Cosmetics products among students was. The research sample was taken as many as 91 student respondents from the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Islamic University of Bandung. The research method used in this study is an explanation that serves to impact the influencer credibility (IC) felt by consumers, using a credibility model of the dimensions of Attractiveness, Expertise, and Trustworthiness. The software used to measure the constructed model in SmartPLS 3.3.2. The results showed that the Composite Reliability on the credibility of the influencers was 0.943 accepted. R. Square in the influencer's credibility to the dimensions studied is attractiveness is 0.737, and Expertise is 0.886 and Trustworthiness is 0.804. So, this dimension can be said that the influencer's credibility is significant. While the Average Variance Extracted (AVE) given by the credibility of the influencer is 0.548 a statement that the construct is accepted. The development of research on the credibility of influencers still has much to be researched in the future.

The effect of aging on facial attractiveness: An empirical and computational investigation

How does aging affect facial attractiveness? We tested the hypothesis that people find older faces less attractive than younger faces, and furthermore, that these aging effects are modulated by the age and sex of the perceiver and by the specific kind of attractiveness judgment being made. Using empirical and computational network science methods, we confirmed that with increasing age, faces are perceived as less attractive. This effect was less pronounced in judgments made by older than younger and middle-aged perceivers, and more pronounced by men (especially for female faces) than women. Attractive older faces were perceived as elegant more than beautiful or gorgeous. Furthermore, network analyses revealed that older faces were more similar in attractiveness and were segregated from younger faces. These results indicate that perceivers tend to process older faces categorically when making attractiveness judgments. Attractiveness is not a monolithic construct. It varies by age, sex, and the dimensions of attractiveness being judged.

Influence of post-harvest physiology on sensory perception, physical properties, and chemical compositions of Moris pineapples (Ananas comosus L.).

This study was conducted to evaluate consumer profiling of pineapple at five maturity stages using check-all-that-apply (CATA) method and to determine the influence of post-harvest physiological changes on the physical and chemical properties of the pineapple. Nineteen CATA terms describing sensory attributes of pineapples at five maturity stages were generated. Seventy-five consumers were involved in describing the changes in the organoleptic properties of pineapple using CATA questions. The relationship between physicochemical properties and sensory description of pineapples was analyzed using correspondence analysis (CA). The total variance of 97.7% and 92.2% obtained in the CA plot of the physical and chemical properties with the consumer profiling data suggests that consumers have effectively described the pineapple harvested at five maturity stages. Changes in physical and chemical compositions in pineapple upon maturation result in the development of pineapple's desirable organoleptic characteristics, characterized as fresh, attractive, and bright yellowish, with a soft, fibrous, and juicy texture, a sweet odor and pineapple aroma as well as sweet taste. Index 3 pineapple has been described as pale, hard, and crunchy in texture at the early stage of maturity and has a sour taste. The characteristic was transformed to bright yellow, soft, fibrous, and juicy texture after maturation, (25% ripeness onwards), as well as the production of sweet taste and aroma of pineapple. Instrument analysis of yellowness (b value) and carotenoid has strongly influenced the sensory attributes of brightness, freshness, and attractiveness of the pineapple. Changes in total soluble solids (TSS) and a ratio of TSS to total acids (TA) contributes to the development of aromatic compound which increases the appealing quality of the pineapple. Pineapple sensory characteristics, physical properties, and chemical compositions were significantly affected by post-harvest physiology. PRACTICAL APPLICATION: Sensory and instrumental methods were used to construct the properties of pineapple at different stages of post-harvest physiology. This article demonstrates that the Check-all-that-apply (CATA) analysis provides adequate sensory profiling information based on customer perceptions in relation to instrumental details, and it can be extended to other pineapple varieties and citrus fruits.

Linking organizational members' social-related use of enterprise social media (ESM) to their fashion behaviors: the social learning and stimulus-organism-response theories

PurposeThis study through the lens of social learning theory and using the stimulus-organism-response (S-O-R) framework aims to show that employees' social-related use of enterprise social media (ESM) can positively affect their intentions to purchase the fashion products used by their coworkers by mediating role of their perceptions toward their coworkers' credibility in fashion (i.e. physical attractiveness, reliability in communications and experience in fashion).Design/methodology/approachTo evaluate the validity of the measurement and structural models, 361 employees who were able to take advantage of ESM with social-related motivations were surveyed within seven Iranian organizations. The collected data were analyzed using the partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM).FindingsThe results of the study confirmed that employees' social-related use of ESM positively affects their perceptions toward their coworkers' credibility in three dimensions of physical attractiveness, reliability in communication (trustworthiness) and fashion experience (expertise). Employees' perceptions toward their coworkers' credibility in three dimensions of physical attractiveness, reliability in communications and fashion experience positively affect their intentions to purchase the fashion products used by their coworkers.Practical implicationsThis study shows that ESM technology can shape a trusted online community of practice in which employees can share the same interests and learn about different types of [fashion] products and services from each other. Thus, ESM can be considered an online instrument for marketing purposes with which organizations can obtain revenue from other organizations by letting them advertise their products on ESM.Originality/valueThe main theoretical implication of this study is to extend the use of two advanced theories in the workplace, especially regarding employees' social-related use of ESM. In fact, this study through the lens of social learning theory and based on the S-O-R model shows that employees' social-related use of ESM can be considered as a stimulus in the workplace, influencing employees' perceptions toward different objects (e.g. their coworkers' credibility), and resulting in several changes in their behaviors. This is among a few studies addressing marketing outcomes of ESM in the employees' communities.

A Novel Chaotic System with Wide Spectrum, its Synchronization, Circuit Design and Application to Secure Communication

Objective: To investigate a novel chaotic system with unique features, its synchronization using nonlinear active control, analog circuit design and application to secure communication. Methods/Analysis: Dynamical tools such as dissipative analysis, instability of equilibrium points, sensitivity to initial conditions, 0-1 test, recurrence plot, Poincare map, Lyapunov exponents, Lyapunov dimension, frequency spectrum and basin of attraction. Synchronization is achieved using modified nonlinear active control technique and analog circuit design, implementation is done in NI Multisim platform. MATLAB and Multisim results are presented to meet the adequate verification of theoretical approach. Findings: A three-dimensional chaotic system with only two nonlinear terms, three parameters and a total of eight terms are proposed. The proposed system has three saddle focus type equilibria. The proposed system is topologically different from Lorenz’s and Rossler’s, Lu’s, Chen’s, and Liu’s families. Such dynamic systems are very few in the literature as per authors best knowledge. The system has basin of chaotic attractors for which first Lyapunov exponent ranges between 2.5 to 3. Frequency spectrum and large positive Lyapunov exponent result comparatively large bandwidth of the proposed systems against some well-known chaotic systems. Chaos, periodic and stable behaviors are obtained by altering the system parameters. Novelty/Application: The proposed three-dimensional chaotic system has significant chaotic behavior and broader spectrum than the six chaotic systems like Lorenz, Rossler, Lu, Chen, BG and Liu systems. Unlike the conventional active control approach, the proposed nonlinear active control does not result decoupled error dynamics. The system has significantly large bandwidth which is helpful in the masking of message signals and enhances the security of transmitted signals during communication. Predictive validity of unidimensional and multidimensional measures of involvement in the tourism research

ABSTRACT This study compares the unidimensional and multidimensional measures of involvement by examining their predictive validity on satisfaction and loyalty. By adopting the three-step approach comparing correlated correlations of non-nested models involving Steiger’s Z test, this study found that the multidimensional measure of involvement predicted satisfaction and loyalty better than the unidimensional measure within the same data. Therefore, tourism researchers are suggested to adopt the multidimensional measure of involvement to maximize the predictive power of these two constructs. Attention also needs to be paid to its specific dimension. The dimension of attraction had the highest predictability for both satisfaction and loyalty, followed by social identity for satisfaction and social identity and social for loyalty. Hence, with limited resources, is suggested that these dimensions be used.

Tingkat Kepuasan Wisatawan Terhadap Daya Tarik Wisata Padang Bai Kecamatan Manggis Kabupaten Karangasem Bali

Padang Bai tourist attraction has great potential in the field of marine tourism attractions, one of which is snorkeling and diving which are well known in foreign countries. In its development there are still various complaints from tourists that reduce the level of tourist satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of tourist satisfaction with Padang Bai tourist attraction from the dimensions of tourist attraction consisting of attractions, accessibility, facilities, ancillary service and the community. This research used quantitative method. Data collection used questionnaire with 21 indicators. 210 samples in this study were taken using a porpusive sampling technique. Data were tested using validity and reliability before being analyzed using the suitability level analysis. The results showed that the level of tourist satisfaction with the tourist attraction of Padang Bai based on the analysis of the suitability level that compares the overall score of expectations indicators with the reality of obtaining results with a suitability level score of 90% obtained the satisfaction category with a gap score (of -80). The indicator that must obtain priority improvement is the cleanliness of the Padang Bai coastal area with a gap value (gap of-365). Cleanliness of the accommodation (gap-210), condition of the facility (gap-163), beautiful underwater scenery such as coral and ornamental fish (gap-151). Overnight accommodation services with a gap value (of-134), diving tourism attractions with a gap (of - 126) and the last of the quality of food restaurants in Padang Bai with a gap value or a gap (of -119). It can be concluded that tourists are satisfied to be in Padang Bai, but the satisfaction is still not maximal and there are still improvements that must be done to improve the satisfaction of Bai Bai's attraction. The advice that can be conveyed is to always maintain the quality of the tourist attraction of Padang Bai, especially environmental cleanliness, as well as the services provided to tourists. AN INTEGRATIVE MODEL OF COGNITIVE IMAGE AND CITY BRAND EQUITY

This study aims to assess the effect of cognitive image and city brand equity on total city branding, evaluation of word-ofmouth (WOM), brand commitment and intention to revisit. The conceptual model used in the impact study of the impact of tangible and intangible elements related to city branding. Involving 423 tourists visiting four cities in West Java, Indonesia as an assessment of the variables studied. The results showed that the conclusions on cognitive image, city brand equity and brand commitment were low. While the other categories are classified as good. These findings also reveal the analysis of the relationship between variables, including cognitive image variables that have a significant effect on city brand equity. Cognitive image is explained through the dimensions of quality experience, tourist attraction, infrastructure environment, and outdoor activities. Meanwhile, city brand equity is measured by brand awareness, brand loyalty, and brand value. Furthermore, the results also show that the variable city brand equity has a significant effect on the variable word-of-mouth (WOM), brand commitment, and the intention to revisit. The most significant influence exerted on brand commitment. These results indicate that the condition of city brand equity affects how wordof-mouth, brand commitment, intention to revisit. This study only discusses part of the tourism activities carried out in these four destinations, so to confirm these findings it is necessary to carry out further research on various destinations and events.

Push and Pull Motivations as Demand Predictors of Coastal and Marine Destinations: A Study in Acapulco, Mexico

ABSTRACT Many tourists look for coastal and marine destinations where they can perform various natural and cultural activities. This study addresses the dimensions of push and pull motivations that influence a coastal and marine destination for domestic tourism, and an analysis was performed with the dimensions of push and pull motivations that predict satisfaction, return and destination recommendation. For this purpose, a quantitative study of 441 surveys, where the researchers used data reduction and multiple regression techniques to select the motivational variables that predict a future behavioral variable, was carried out in Acapulco, a relevant coastal and marine destination in Mexico. Findings revealed two motivating dimensions of thrust that were “novelty” and “escape” and two dimensions of attraction that were “static marine” and “active marine,” The "novelty" and "static marine" factors mainly influenced satisfaction, while the factors that mostly predict return and recommendation were "escape" and "novelty.”

Image and Attributes of the Police as an Employer in Poland – Perspective of the Z-Generation

Abstract Recruitment to the Police is a continuous process aimed at supplementing the shortage of human resources, whose number for many years has oscillated around 4 thousand. Taking into account the difficulty of obtaining candidates for service, as well as high competitiveness on the labour market among employers, the aim of the conducted research was to identify the quality of the image of the Police as an employer in Poland from the perspective of generation Z, i.e. the group of potential candidates for service. The analysis also focused on the attributes of Police attractiveness, paying particular attention to attractiveness in the economic, developmental and psychological dimensions. An attempt was also made to indicate a typical image of the Police as an employer by means of subjective associations with the brand. For this purpose, potential associations associated with different types of organizational culture were distinguished, and then subjected to the assessment of respondents. The research using a diagnostic survey was conducted on a sample of 100 people in 2019.

Popularity-similarity random SAT formulas

In the last decades, we have witnessed a remarkable success of algorithms solving the Boolean Satisfiability problem (SAT) on instances encoding application or real-world problems arising from a very diverse number of domains, such as hardware and software verification, planning or cryptography. These algorithms are the so known Conflict-Driven Clause Learning (CDCL) SAT solvers. Interestingly enough, the reasons for the success of these solvers on this diverse range of problems are not completely understood yet.A common issue when facing this open challenge is the heterogeneity of this set of benchmarks. Another problem is the limited number of existing instances. In this context, random models of SAT formulas capturing features shared by the majority of these application benchmarks become crucial, for both theoretical and practical purposes. On the one hand, it is undoubtedly necessary to have random models where theoretical properties, like hardness, can be studied. Therefore, realistic random SAT models may contribute to explain the success of these solvers on these industrial problems. On the other hand, the limited number of benchmarks and their hardness in practice makes the evaluation of new solving techniques a costly task. Therefore, these realistic random SAT generators can provide an unlimited number of pseudo-industrial random SAT instances with some desired properties.In this work, we present a random SAT instances generator based on the notion of locality. This notion is complementary to the popularity of variables, which is present in the scale-free structure, observable in actual application problems and achievable by previous generators. Our random SAT model combines both locality and popularity, and we show that they are two decisive dimensions of attractiveness among the variables of a formula, and how CDCL SAT solvers take advantage of them. Locality is closely related to the community structure, another important feature of application SAT benchmarks, which is indirectly achieved by this model. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first random SAT model that generates both scale-free structure and community structure at once.

Social judgement of L2 accented speech stereotyping and its influential factors

ABSTRACT If extraneous information leads listeners to biased judgements, then their speech perceptions are likely to manifest distortion in that direction. This phenomenon is known as reverse linguistic stereotyping (RLS), which has been confirmed by 25 years of empirical study. Recent research on effects of listener background on ratings of speaker pronunciation and social judgments are likewise consistent with the concept of reverse linguistic stereotyping. In particular, one way of operationalising listener aberration is measuring a function of listener backgrounds and proclivity toward RLS along with a dimension of speaker social attractiveness, superiority, and dynamism. The current study examined to what extent listeners’ background characteristics and RLS propensity factors affect their social judgements of second language (L2) accented speech. The background factors included learners’ accent exposure, study abroad experience, the degree of foreign language study experience, and three RLS dimensions. Results suggest that listeners who hold negatively stereotyped expectations about LX accents tend to find accented speech less superior and less socially attractive. Findings offer implications to language education and various workforce-related communication in global contexts.

Does Adlerian Play Therapy Increase Social, Physical, and Task Appeal More Than Content Mastery Services in Elementary School Students?

This study examined the difference in effectiveness between Adlerian Play Therapy and content mastery services in increasing physical, social, and task attractiveness to students in primary schools. The factorial design experimental method was applied to 72 fifth-grade students from two public elementary schools in Bandung, Indonesia, whose dimensions of attractiveness were lower than the other study groups. Each intervention carried out six meetings in different schools. Adlerian Play Therapy starts from the one-session relationship-building stage, the lifestyle investigation stage through the three-session secret book, the lifestyle understanding stage through one-session games, and the reorientation & re-education stage through one-session games. Classical guidance services for content mastery with a community circle strategy start from building relationships in two sessions, introducing the importance of one session, improving the social aspects of one session, improving the physical aspects of one session, and improving the aspects of one session assignments. Manova analyzed the Interpersonal Attraction Scale (IAS) instrument. Adlerian Play Therapy further enhances all dimensions of interpersonal attractiveness than content mastery services. Recommendations are aimed at counseling teachers to use Adlerian Play Therapy to increase children's social, physical, and assignment attractiveness. It is hoped that other researchers will research further related to increasing task attractiveness.

Imagine All the People: Investigating People’s Perceptual Biases as They Pertain to Age, Race, and Gender

Typically, perceptual biases are studied by investigating how people respond to written scenarios, without considering the mental representations people form while reading these descriptions. This paper provides a novel approach to face perception research by looking at people’s mental representations of strangers and aims to determine whether current ways of classifying people into definite race, age, and gender categories were accurate or needed to be rethought. Specifically, participants digitally reproduced the faces they imagined while reading different scenarios where strangers were described only by race, age, and gender (N = 76). Subsequently, a different set of participants rated these faces on various traits (N = 1024). In the first part of the study, participants created 9 faces from written descriptions of strangers, the last of which included information about criminal history. In the second part, participants rated these faces on dimensions of attractiveness, trustworthiness, intelligence, and physical strength for faces in the non-crime condition, and on dimensions of threat, criminality, and attractiveness for the crime condition. Linear regression models showed that age, race, and gender had various effects on scores on different dimensions, as well as on within-group variance. For instance, older faces were awarded lower attractiveness ratings than younger faces overall, an effect which was also moderated by race, with older age being less predictive of attractiveness ratings for Black faces. Furthermore, there was significantly less variability in attractiveness ratings for Black faces than White faces. Overall, this study revealed that stereotypes do not always adhere to clear-cut categories of race, age, and gender, suggesting that they may be applied somewhat dimensionally rather than categorically.

Employer attractiveness: Measurement scale development and validation

Human resource quality is one important factor that affects the success of each organization. The need to build a human resource foundation with knowledge, skills and good attitude is one urgent task for all business leaders. The first task is to attract and recruit excellent individuals to work for the business; therefore, how to attract candidates is always academic researchers’ as well as business managers’ top priority. Employer attractiveness factor (Berthon, Ewing, & Hah, 2005) has been applied in some recent studies. However, because talent recruitment and attraction are diverse and different for individual organizations, cultures and countries, the scale of employer attractiveness concept still implies many points that are not appropriate for Vietnamese contexts. This research, based on the social exchange theory and the employer branding theory, develops in great details and confirms the employer attractiveness scale in Vietnamese business. The mixed-method (interviewing 4 experts and 2 staff in-depth groups as well as surveying quantitatively 937 employees working for Vietnamese enterprises) has been applied. The research results determine the employer attractiveness dimension factor comprising social value, development value, application value, safety value and economic value. This research has discovered a new factor of employer attractiveness scale: safety value.

Factors influencing bid-winning performance in mixed crowdsourcing: The persuasive effect of credible information sources

Mixed crowdsourcing is increasingly becoming the main organizational model of domestic crowdsourcing platforms. However, research on the interpretation of winning performance fails to focus on the persuasive effect of the credibility of the contractor's information source on the contractee's decision making. Based on source credibility theory (SCT), this study constructs a model of the factors influencing the contractor's bid-winning performance based on three aspects—credibility, professionalism, and attractiveness—and examines the moderating effect of positive contractor evaluations from previous tasks on the bid decision. The results reveal that integrity guarantee and contact authentication (which belong to the credibility dimension), as well as ability level and professional identity (professionalism dimension) positively affect the contractor's bid-winning performance, and that an inverted-U-shaped relationship exists between the number of services displayed by the contractors (attractiveness dimension) and bid-winning performance.

The interplay between social rank, physiological constraints and investment in courtship in male spotted hyenas

Abstract In many animal societies, dominant males have a higher reproductive success than subordinate males. The proximate mechanisms by which social rank influences reproductive success are poorly understood. One prominent hypothesis posits that rank‐related male attributes of attractiveness and fighting ability are the main mediators of reproductive skew. Yet, empirical evidence in support of this hypothesis is limited. An alternative hypothesis emphasises the inherent social dimension of dominance relationships and posits that the relationship between male social rank and reproductive success is mediated by the physiological costs of male–male competition. This has not been tested in systems in which the two hypotheses can be disentangled. We investigated the interplay between male social rank, physiological costs and male investment in social and sexual activities. We used measurements of faecal glucocorticoid metabolite concentrations (fGMC) as biomarkers of physiological costs and long‐term behavioural data of 319 males in free‐ranging spotted hyenas Crocuta crocuta, a species in which male access to females and reproductive success do not depend on physical attributes. When males courted females and interacted with male competitors, low‐ranking males had higher fGMC than high‐ranking males. In contrast, fGMC did not vary with social rank when males were alone or when they courted females and competitors were absent. Low‐ranking males minimised their exposure to physiologically costly intrasexual competition; they spent more time alone and less time engaging in social and sexual activities than did high‐ranking males. They also invested less than high‐ranking males in courting the most contested and highest‐quality females. Our findings demonstrate that the physiological costs of intrasexual competition in male spotted hyenas vary with social rank and shape behavioural trade‐offs between the allocation of time and physiological resources to social integration, reproduction and self‐maintenance. Our study suggests that physiological and social constraints play a pivotal role in the emergence of rank‐related male reproductive success. The study provides insights into how the social organisation and breeding system shape physiological constraints and patterns of reproductive skew within and between species. Validation of a Chinese version of the Perceived Coolness Scale among Chinese college students

Coolness is considered important for new product adoption but little is known about how consumers in different cultures perceive coolness, or if perceived coolness affects their willingness to buy a new product. We translated and validated a Chinese version (C-PCS) of the Perceived Coolness Scale (PCS) for new smart devices, using data from 307 undergraduate college student participants. The PCS initially comprised the four dimensions of originality, subculture, attractiveness, and utility, but utility was not included in the final version of the PCS. In contrast, we included all four dimensions in the CPCS. Our results show that the C-PCS had good internal consistency and satisfactory structural validity. In addition, each of the four dimensions of perceived coolness predicted participants' purchase intention for new smart devices.
