Cleft lip and palate are classified as the most common malformations affecting the lip, resulting from anatomical flaws in facial processes. When left untreated, they cause aesthetic, functional and psychosocial complications, affecting collective interactions. This study aims to describe the experience of the clinical routine in a reference center, in which FUNDEF – Foundation for Rehabilitation of Craniofacial Deformities and Auditory Rehabilitation was selected, regarding the rehabilitation of patients with cleft lip and palate, improving knowledge regarding multidisciplinary care. We will address the first surgery performed, postoperative period, difficulties in feeding and speaking, social interaction, treatments performed during childhood, as well as treatments performed in adulthood. The reference center in question offers multidisciplinary treatment, such as dentists, speech therapists, psychologists, nutritionists, and others. Finally, the aim of this work is to address the multidisciplinary treatments performed on patients with cleft lip and palate.
