The article deals with the issues of assessing the quality of transport services, which lie in the comparison of customer satisfaction and the actual operation of the transport system. The paper presents a methodology for selecting the most significant quality indicators. This methodology allows us to conduct an independent assessment and determine the degree of importance of service indicators in the transport sector, to find optimal solutions for the further development strategy of the transport industry in the face of fierce competition. The development of the transport industry is impossible without attracting private capital within the framework of public and private partnerships, the main areas of interaction between the state and investors are identified, and the problems that arise when concluding contracts are highlighted.
