The article reveals the essence of the concept of "small entrepreneurship", highlights the factors influencing the innovative development of small entrepreneurship in modern conditions, outlines the role of innovation in the development of small entrepreneurship as one of the segments of the national economy. Three main groups of influencing factors on the innovative development of small business are singled out: internal (corporate culture; openness to new ideas; management; strategic vision ofdevelopment; personnel; financial resources (own funds, access to credit lines and investments); material and technical base; information technologies; modern equipment; intellectual property); external (macroeconomic environment; tax policy; technological environment; market segmentation; competition; state policy (small business support, law regarding innovative activities, availability of state innovation support programs); socio-cultural environment, entrepreneurship culture) and factors of the institutional environment (financial sector (banks, venture funds, financial instruments); scientific and technological sphere; availability of information about technologies, markets, investors; development of transport, communication, energy infrastructure).
