S-Curve Algorithm Based on SCM

Control of the process of ACC/DEC (Acceleration/Deceleration) is one of most complicated problems in CNC system development. With the increase of acceleration and velocity in high-speed, high-precision CNC system, discontinuousness of acceleration will result in vibration, impact and debasing of position accuracy. The excellent ACC/ DEC control can solve these problems and improve the positioning precision. In this paper, S curve ACC/DEC algorithm is deeply studied, through comparison with other algorithms; its proved to be an efficient way in advanced CNC system. Usually, such kind of algorithm requires high-speed processor. However realization based on SCM (Single Chip Machine) is proposed in this paper. Through simulation, the result shows that the algorithm works well. Finally practical tests are carried out in Panasonic Minas A5 servo motor which indicates the control system is effective and accuracy.

The Development of Special CNC System for Profiling Lathe Based on Digital Capture Measurement

Aimed at the goal of digital capture function for CNC profiling lathe, it has conducted researches on the key technologies of CNC system development, including automatic profiling measurement, profiling data collection methods and G-code program automatically generation. Before process, use an on-off-type laser sensor along the planned path close to the sample workpiece point by point to get series of coordinate points of the contour through the CNC system position latch function and the switch of senors state; through subsequent processing methods: contour segmentation, curve filtering, etc. And generate the G-code program for process. Practice shows that this special CNC system for profiling lathe, not only integrates automatic profiling data acquisition, automatic generation of process G code program, and has the characteristics of simple structure, easy operation and high efficiency.

Research and Development of CNC System of Screw Polishing and Grinding Machine Based on PMAC

This paper introduces current situation of varying screw machining, characteristics of PMAC2-PCI, researches open CNC system based on PMAC2-PCI, designs CNC system of screw polishing and grinding machine, including hardware design and software design. The system holds the advantage of fast machining speed, high control precision and high stability.

Design and Research of Embedded Precision CNC Internal Grinder Soft-PLC System

According to the processing and control requirements of precision CNC internal grinder, a design of ARM-based embedded precision CNC internal grinder soft-PLC system was proposed. The design idea of embedded system hardware and software components was introduced to develop the PLC applications, achieved the logic control of the machine tool. This design meets the requirements of software design instead of hardware design and system integration of embedded CNC system development and it also meets the requirements of modular design of open CNC system development.

Application of MECHATROLINK-II Fieldbus in Multi-Axis Embedded CNC System

Recently, the application of fieldbus is becoming a trend in the development of CNC system towards decentralisation, network and multi-axis linkage. It is anticipated that fieldbus will be one of the leading technologies in the area of numerical control before long. Meanwhile, embedded system has been widely used in numerical control field to solve the reliability and real-time problems. In order to give full play to the advantages of embedded systems, the MECHATROLINK-II fieldbus is introduced to solve the transmission bottleneck of servo communications and multi-axis synchronous control problems. And it is proved that the application scheme combined fieldbus and embedded system is successful and valid by a large amount of performance testings.

Research on a New Flexible Acceleration and Deceleration Algorithm with Continuous Jerk

Control of the motion process of acceleration/deceleration (Acc/Dec) is one of key complicated problems in CNC system development. The excellent Acc/Dec control can improve the processing precision. The traditional Acc/Dec algorithms such as the linear and the exponential are not suitable for high speed motion because there would be flexible impacts existing in feed motion, especially that the jerk of the S-shape curve Acc/Dec is discontinuous. A new flexible Acc/Dec algorithm for high speed motion system based on the squared sine function is introduced. The modeling of the Acc/Dec algorithm with Trigonometric Function Squared Sine(TFSS) shape curve is constructed.In this algorithm, the sine curve in jerk, acceleration, velocity and displacement are all continuous. The simulation experiments result demonstrate that the Acc/Dec algorithm with TFSS shape curve is a new method of continuous Jerk for the design flexible Acc/Dec.

Development of CNC System for Machining of Grooves in Automobile Synchronization Regulators Sleeve

On the basis of analyzing the shortcomings of the current technics for grooves machining, this paper deals with the development of Numerical Control System for machining of grooves in automobile synchronization regulator sleeve, which holds first-rate technics. In order to improve efficiency and precision of grooves machining and reduce cost of the cutter, Hypocycloid-based technique together with interpolation is introduced and studied. With IPC as system platform and PMAC (Programmable Multiple-Axes Controller) as the controlling center of the system, the open architecture of “PC-Based” is used in the CNC system and the framework of the CNC hardware is developed. According to the ideas of modularization and real-time multi-task scheduler, the CNC software system is carved into many modules and the framework of the CNC software is developed.
