This presentation deals with the decision system of discrete manufacturing system. In the case where the decision system is hierarchical according to various criteria (decision time horizon, physical layout.…), the GRAI approach is a significant assistance for analysis and specification. The purpose of this communication is to show that this method can have is accuracy increased by the use of structural data (resource, operation, routings…) aggregation mechanisms. Data aggregation mechanisms and their consequences are presented, their use and set up within the GRAI approach is explained.
