Transformasi Pembelajaran Fikih melalui Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar

This study aims to investigate a discussion on the implementation of the independent learning curriculum at madrasah tsanawiyah. This research uses a qualitative descriptive qualitative research method using the independent curriculum theory which is based on constructivism learning theory. According to the principle of independent learning, curricula can be tailored to meet the needs and abilities of students, enabling them to participate more actively and creatively in the learning process. Regarding data collection techniques, it consists of conducting interviews with fikih subject teachers. Based on the research, the independent curriculum for learning fikih at MTs Hasyim Asy'ari Bangsri has been implemented since the 2023/2024 school year, but the implementation has not been perfect. When the autonomous learning curriculum for fikih learning was implemented, a number of difficulties and issues were discovered, namely educators or teachers have the responsibility of compiling teaching modules for learning, but the teacher has not found specific reference material for making teaching modules. Information is still limited regarding fikih learning in the independent learning curriculum. Even though the ministry of religion has an independent curriculum platform called Sikurma, the Ministry of Religious Affairs' autonomous learning curriculum which includes learning fikih, has not been fully covered by this platform. Because there aren't many independent curriculum textbooks available for Islamic Religious Education in madrasahs, pupils are still using the 2013 curriculum books.

Analyzing Pakistan’s national curriculum textbooks in religious-based construction and demonisation of ‘other’ for high schools

ABSTRACT This study analysis the role of Pakistan’s National Curriculum textbooks in normalising religious-based construction and demonisation of the ‘other’. Specifically, it examines textbooks issued by Federal Textbook Board for high school students using thematic content analysis. The research aims to investigate the portrayal of religious-based construction and demonisation of the ‘other’ in sample textbooks projected ‘legitimate knowledge’ across various subjects. In addition, it also analyzes that how the textbooks deviate from their supposed educational purpose to serve the vested interested of the ruling elites. The analysis employs a theoretical framework based on Apple’s concept of ‘legitimate knowledge’, and N. Kalyvas and Frankfurter’s notion of the ‘normalisation of violence’ as both a process and an outcome. By employing this theoretical framework, the study reveals that the presentation of ‘legitimate knowledge’ in textbooks plays a crucial role in normalising religious-based construction and demonisation of the ‘other’ by depicting them as enemies, spies, cruel, uncivilised, hypocritical, and deserving severe punishment. Furthermore, the textbooks construct binary structures such as ‘Believers/Muslims vs. Non-believers/non-Muslims’, portraying various groups in a hostile manner. The analysis also sheds light on the factors influencing the textbooks’ role, which primarily serves the strategic and political interests of the Pakistani state, particularly during post-9/11 which significantly contributed to regional violence.

Analysis of mathematics textbook of Indonesian curriculum based on functional thinking framework

Functional thinking (FT) is individual’s cognitive process to identify the relation between variables and is essential for students to learn algebra. However, not much studies addressing the examination of the contents of FT problems within school mathematics textbooks, particularly in Indonesian curriculum. This study aims to describe the mathematics problems presented in junior high school mathematics textbooks of the new Indonesian curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) based on the FT framework. To reach this aim, the student mathematics textbook published by The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemdikbud) in 2022 was used to conduct the analysis. The textbooks used were seventh and eighth-grade mathematics textbooks. The data was collected by observing the textbook's contents in the algebra domain. The analysis was based on the framework of FT consisting of recursive patterns, covariance, and correspondence. The results show that the FT tasks appear in the learning of algebraic terms, modelling with algebra, and linear functions. Moreover, this study also found that tasks in each topic develop students’ FT at different stages. Tasks in algebraic terms fulfill all FT’s stages in hierarchical order, tasks in modelling with algebra focus on the correspondence stage, and tasks in linear functions include all FT stages but not in chronological order; that is, recursive patterns, correspondence, and then covariation. In conclusion, this study finds that algebraic problems provided by Indonesian textbooks already support students’ FT. Thus, designing more FT tasks and connecting each task to different algebra topics might help students develop their FT.

Descriptive Analysis of Questions in the 2013 Curriculum Textbook (2018 Revised Edition) for Grade IX SMP/MTs Mathematics Lessons in Terms of the 2019 TIMSS Cognitive Domain

This study aims to determine the proportion of questions in the 2013 curriculum student book for Mathematics grade IX SMP/MTs that are categorized in the TIMSS cognitive domains compared to the proportion of TIMSS 2019 standards. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative research. The research instrument used was the assessment framework guidelines that have been provided in the TIMSS 2019 book. The research process began with an analysis of the questions contained in the Mathematics student book for grade IX SMP/MTs which was conducted independently by the researcher. The results showed that from 344 valid items contained in the Mathematics student book for grade IX SMP/MTs, the percentage of “knowing” cognitive domain in the book was 37.68%, compared to the standard set by the TIMSS 2019 assessment criteria of 35%. Then, the percentage of “applying” cognitive domain in the book is 52.21%, compared to the standard set by TIMSS 2019 assessment criteria of 40%. Meanwhile, the percentage of “reasoning” cognitive domain in the book was 10.11%, compared to the standard set by the TIMSS 2019 assessment criteria of 25%.

Implementation of Financial Literacy Development Strategies in Elementary School Students

Purpose: This research aims to describe the implementation of financial literacy development strategies for students at SD Negeri 44 Bengkulu City. Methods: Researchers used a qualitative descriptive research design. Data collection techniques in this research include interviews, observation and documentation. The research subjects consisted of the principal, two teachers, fifteen grade 2 students at SD Negeri 44 Bengkulu City, and a coordinator from Bank Bengkulu. The data analysis techniques used by researchers include (1) data condensation; (2) data presentation; (3) drawing conclusions and verification. Results: The research results show that various strategies have been implemented, such as: (1) integration of financial literacy in the Independent Indonesian Language Curriculum Textbook for Class 2, (2) the presence of an honesty canteen, (3) class cash management, and (4) savings activities through Bengkulu Bank. Conclusion: The strategy for developing financial literacy at SD Negeri 44 Bengkulu City has succeeded in increasing students' financial understanding and skills. The implications of the research illustrate the importance of collaboration between schools, parents and Bank Bengkulu to strengthen strategies and integrate elements of financial literacy into the elementary school curriculum.

The current study is limited to first stage intermediate female students in public schools, morning study, affiliated with the directorate of Education in Al-Qadisiyah, and the science subject (the last four chapters) of the first intermediate stage science textbook curriculum for the academic year 2022/2023. The researcher chose the quasi-experimental design with partial control (experimental and control groups) with a post-test for achievement and a varied exploration scale. Baghdad School for Girls was intentionally selected to represent the current study sample, and two sections of the first intermediate stage were randomly selected, including (85) female students, section (A) included (43) female students representing the experimental group, while section (C) included (42) female students representing the control group. The researcher equivalence the two research groups in variables (age, intelligence test, and mid-year scores). The researcher also prepared two tools; The first was the achievement test which consisted in its final version (40) multiple-choice objective test items with four alternatives. The apparent validity, content validity and reliability of this tool were verified. The difficulty, discrimination and effectiveness of the wrong alternatives for the objective test items were extracted. As for the second tool, it consisted of preparing the varied exploration scale, which consists in its final version (40) items. The apparent validity, construct validity was verified, and the reliability coefficient was found using the (split-half method and Richardson-20) equation. The researcher applied the experiment in the second semester of the academic year 2022-2023, and the experiment lasted (eight) weeks. The data were analyzed and processed using the Statistical Analysis Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and the (Microsoft Excel) program, by using the t-test for two independent samples, the Pearson correlation coefficient, and the effect size. The researcher concluded the following results: 1- The result related to the first hypothesis regarding the achievement test results indicated that there is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of female students of the experimental group who studied science according to the Windows Movie Maker program, and the mean scores of female students of the control group who studied the same material in the usual way in the achievement variable in favor of the female students of the experimental group. 2- The result related to the second hypothesis regarding the results of the varied exploration scale indicated that there are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of female students of the experimental group who studied science using the Windows Movie Maker program, and the mean scores of female students of the control group who studied the same material in the usual way in the varied exploration variable in favor of the female students of the experimental group. Can either using cognitive science principles or improving teacher content knowledge boost student achievement in middle school science?

AbstractThis study used a cluster randomized controlled trial to investigate the effectiveness of two approaches to increasing middle school students' science learning when using an inquiry‐based science curriculum. Eighty‐nine schools, with 253 teachers and 20,591 students, were randomly assigned into one of three conditions: (a) a treatment condition in which the textbook curriculum was modified based on three principles of cognitive science coupled with teacher professional development (PD), (b) a second treatment condition in which teachers received PD designed to improve their knowledge of the science content, and (c) a business‐as‐usual control group. The cognitive science treatment had a small but statistically significant positive effect on content learning, with a stronger impact on students of higher prior achievement. Compared to business‐as‐usual, the intervention to increase teacher content knowledge had no impact.

An analysis of the English textbook “think” to the curriculum 2013

The study aimed to evaluate the relevance of materials in the textbook "Think" with basic competencies of the English curriculum 2013. The analysis has been done in interpersonal, transactional, and special function text genres. The instrument of the research was the checklist evaluation. The textbook was analyzed using a qualitative research method with a content analysis design. The data collection procedures started from perusing, highlighting, eliciting, grouping, coding, and tabulating. Then, the data was analyzed by adapting the procedures from Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña (2014) using data selecting, data display, data interpreting, and conclusion. The data was evaluated using the categories of complete, slightly complete, slightly incomplete, and null. In the textbook, 12 materials were checked for relevance to the English curriculum 2013. The result of the study showed that the textbook only meets ten materials out of 22 materials suggested in basic competence 3 and 4 of English curriculum 2013. The interpersonal genre text does not have any related material out of three materials from one indicator. for the transactional genre text, the book has two complete indicators that suit the textbook and syllabus of curriculum 2013. It has one slightly complete and one slightly incomplete indicator. For the special text, the book does not meet any of the material suggested by the syllabus of curriculum 2013. The result found that the level of conformity of the "Think" textbook is slightly incomplete because the textbook contains materials that are not suggested by the syllabus. To sum up, the textbook "Think" is better to be used as a supplementary book in school with curriculum 2013. The book has various activities inside to support the teaching and learning process.

Comparison between the Computer Curriculum in public schools in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq and Jordan

This study aims to analyze and compare three computer curriculum Text books, which are the information technology book for the seventh grade in the Kurdistan region, the computer book for the first intermediate grade in Iraq, and the computer book for the seventh grade in Jordan, in order to know which fields in the books have the greatest space and importance, and the areas that It has the least space and importance. To achieve the objectives of this research, all the topics in the three books have been analyzed.
 The research community consists of three books (Information Technology/Kurdistan Region, Computer/Iraq, and Computer/Jordan). To implement the objectives of the research and collect information, the classification form was used as a research tool consisting of 175 sections, and after the issuance of the validity and reliability of the research tool, this form was divided into 100 experts in the field of computer in universities and governmental and non-governmental institutes in the Kurdistan Region, as well as education teachers in basic public schools. After taking the opinions of experts, analyzing them and emptying the research tools, statistical formulas were used, such as (percentage, arithmetic mean), the most important results of the study were presented.

IMPLEMENTASI KURIKULUM MERDEKA BELAJAR PADA MATA PELAJARAN PAI KELAS VII SMPN SATU ATAP-2 TEWANG SANGALANG GARING

This study aims to describe 1) the Implementation of Merdeka Belajar Curriculum (KMB) in PAI Subjects in Class VII of SMPN Satu Atap-2 Tewang Sangalang Garing and 2) the Supporting and inhibiting Factors for the Implementation of KMB in PAI Learning in Class VII of SMPN Satu Atap-2 Tewang Sangalang Garing. The research method used a descriptive qualitatif approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that: 1) Implementation of KMB in PAI Class VII SMPN Satu Atap-2 Tewang Sangalang Garing is carried out with the stages of planning, implementation and evaluation.. The planning stage includes the preparation of instruments related to the analysis of learning outcomes, the formulation of learning objectives, the flow of learning objectives, diagnostic assessments, and teaching modules. PAI teacher also planned a project to strengthen the Pancasila Student Profile by collaborating with other teachers to make adjustments to the project module provided by the Ministry of Education and Culture based on the needs of students, with the theme "Pelajar Berakhlak Mulia". At the implementation stage, the results of the planning instrument are applied in the beginning, core, and final activities of the PAI learning process. In the evaluation stage, the PAI teacher conducted a formative assessment of the effectiveness of KMB implementation in PAI learning; 2) Supporting Factors for the Implementation of KMB in Grade VII PAI Subjects are the motivation and guidance from the Principal who facilitates the teacher to participate in and hold training related to the Implementation of KMB. In addition, learning media such as Merdeka Curriculum textbooks, LCD projectors, Chromebooks, laptops and computers, and internet networks are provided. On the other hand, the inhibiting factors for the implementation of KMB in Grade VII PAI Subjects are that the teacher has not maximized the use of ICT and internet-based learning media

문헌분석을 통한 특수학교와 일반학교 통합학급 음악교육 요구에 관한 동향 분석

Objectives This study investigates whether the steady demand for special music education has been reflected in the field and improved in order to cultivate the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required in a rapidly changing society, and discusses the direction of practical and specific support through analysis of trends in special music education needs.
 Methods In order to suggest the direction in which music education in special education should move, music edu-cation needs are extracted based on literature related to music education by disability area and school level in spe-cial schools and general schools, and trends in music education needs are analyzed according to analysis standards. This is a literature analysis that quantifies the analyzed data by category and then expresses it as a final ratio to suggest the direction in which music education should move based on the results of music education de-mand trends.
 Results In the case of sensory disabilities, teacher expertise showed the highest rate in the areas of admin-istrative and financial support, and middle school courses in special schools for developmental disabilities also showed the highest rate of teacher expertise in the areas of administrative and financial support. The elementary school curriculum was found to have the highest demand rate in terms of motivation to learn textbook content, and teacher expertise was found to have the second highest rate. In the unclassified category, motivation was emphasized in terms of textbook content and song lyrics in the educational content area, and demands for univer-sality and specificity were also consistently appearing. Integrated classes in general schools also recognized the need for teacher expertise in administrative and financial support, and particularly emphasized the need for spe-cial education teachers to have expert music knowledge. In addition, the universality and specificity of each area are emphasized, and it was found that the rate of students' learning motivation was quite high. You must be able to use it right away. In addition, by referring to the songs included in the music textbook of the common curricu-lum, we pursue universality and specificity at the same time, and further secure the diversity of genres to motivate students by allowing them to experience the content system of all music, including singing, instrumental music, appreciation, and daily life.  Conclusions Since it is virtually difficult to cultivate teachers' administrative tasks and special education and music education expertise at the same time, experts with both music and special education expertise are selected at the national, provincial and provincial offices of education, and school level to develop textbooks and teacher guide-lines to provide training in the field.

Textbook Evaluation: A Framework for Evaluating the English Subject in Kurikulum Merdeka for the Tenth Grade

This research is aimed at finding out the significance or not the significance of English textbooks under Kurikulum Merdeka be implemented at schools. It is widely accepted that a textbook is an essential component of the English as a Foreign Language classroom. Evaluation of a textbook, therefore, is of utmost importance so that its pedagogical contribution to the teaching and learning process can be assured. In the context of Kurikulum Merdeka in Indonesia, textbook evaluation is an even more important issue given the recent implementation of Senior High School students. Can the newly written curriculum textbook help teachers deliver the new curriculum objectives?. There is a lack of empirical studies showing how curriculum fitness can be evaluated. In addition, despite the repeated emphasis on the benefits of a post-use textbook evaluation by a number of researchers, relevant empirical studies, however, seem to lack much of the available literature is biased towards pre-use evaluation. By conducting this research, the researcher hopes the results can reveal the actual situation of English textbooks at Senior High Schools and whether or not, the textbook is implemented totally as it is or should be added or lessened of some materials in the textbook.

Analysis of Algebra Questions in Curriculum 2013 and Merdeka Curriculum Mathematics Textbooks

The purpose of this study is to analyze problems in the mathematics textbook of the 2013 curriculum and the independent curriculum in algebra material. This is used to find out what students should do to answer questions on problems in math textbooks. The method used in this study is a five-dimensional analysis method, consisting of: mathematical activity, problem complexity, contextual situation, process and type of answer. Data collection techniques are carried out by analyzing and describing the types of algebra problems in the mathematics textbooks of the 2013 curriculum and the independent curriculum. The results of this study show that algebra problems in the 2013 curriculum textbooks and the independent curriculum emphasize calculating/using various calculation operations by 63.78% in the 2013 curriculum and 40.23% in the independent curriculum, direct application of basic knowledge/skills by 68.65% in the 2013 curriculum and building/making connections by 59.77% in the independent curriculum, questions without context amounted to 62.16% in the 2013 curriculum and questions with real-world context amounted to 46.55% in the independent curriculum, using mathematical concepts, facts, procedures and reasoning amounted to 76.76% in the 2013 curriculum and 58.62% in the independent curriculum, closed answers amounted to 63.78% in the 2013 curriculum and 74.14% in the independent curriculum.

Students’ Visual Representation of Lights and Visions

Visual representations are used by scientists to communicate scientific conceptions and are used by teachers to teach science in the classroom. The 2013 Curriculum textbook reduces this visual representation. Meanwhile, visual representations will help students develop a comprehensive understanding of the concept. This case study research aims to reveal cases of misconceptions in the visual representation of students at an X elementary school. We used observations of fifty-nine fourth-grade elementary school students to find students with different cases of misconceptions. Eleven students were further identified using interviews and drawing tests. We analysed the data qualitatively based on the collection of these two types of data. We found misconceptions in the representation of luminous objects and how students draw visions of luminous objects and non-luminous objects. Research results showed that we found cases of misconceptions similar to the findings from previous studies. While light and vision are prerequisite concepts, a student's conception of vision is affected when he has a misconception about light. Content can be developed by paying attention to the various modes of representation, conceptual change, and learning progression in the future. The pattern of learning progression can be studied in more detail using the microgenetic method.

Merdeka Curriculum Better than K13 Curriculum?

The latest textbooks from the Merdeka curriculum are only available for the first year, namely 2022 for the first level. However, many people still doubt its effectiveness because the Merdeka curriculum is still in the socialization period. This study wants to dig deeper into the latest curriculum textbooks compared to the previous curriculum. This study was conducted using the comparative method of primary data. The K13 and the Merdeka Curriculum Textbooks were analyzed using textbook standards from the BSNP, which consisted of 4 aspects: Material Content, Material Presentation, Language, and Graphical elements. Then, do the scoring to measure suitability. The study results show that the Merdeka Curriculum textbooks get a higher score than the K13 textbooks as a whole and in every assessment aspect

TINGKAT KETERBACAAN BUKU TEKS BAHASA INDONESIA KURIKULUM MERDEKA UNTUK KELAS X SMA/SMK

The ever-changing curriculum means that teaching materials, mainly textbooks, also continue to change. This change is not offset by the quality of textbooks discourse, which still not be appropriate to the students' readability level. This is shown in various studies that have been carried out, including by Yazidi et al. (2017), Saroni et al. (2017), Ginanjar (2020), and Susanti (2021), which resulted in the finding that the readability level of textbooks still does not match the students' readability level. This study aims to describe the readability of the Merdeka Curriculum Indonesian Language Textbook for Class X SMA/SMK entitled Intelligent Smart in Indonesian Language and Literature for Class X SMA/SMK. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method-readability measurement formula using Fry Graph. The number of inner texts calculated using the Fry Graph is 23 texts. Based on the study result, 3 texts matched the legibility level of class X students, and 20 texts id not match the readability level of class X students. Twenty texts that did not match the readability level of class X students consisted of 1 text with a readability level that was too high/difficult, 17 texts with a readability level that was too low/easy, and 2 texts that did not match any readability level/invalid. Calculation of the readability level using the Fry Graph in the Indonesian Merdeka Curriculum Textbook for Class X SMA/SMK shows that the readability level of the Indonesian Merdeka Curriculum Textbook for Class X SMA/SMK entitled Smart Smart in Indonesian Language and Literature for Class X SMA/SMK is still not following the readability level of class X students.

Analyzing the Alignment between AI Curriculum and AI Textbooks through Text Mining

The field of artificial intelligence (AI) is permeating education worldwide, reflecting societal changes driven by advancements in computing technology and the data revolution. Herein, we analyze the alignment between core AI educational curricula and textbooks to provide guidance on structuring AI knowledge. Text mining techniques using Python 3.10.3 and frame-based content analysis tailored to the computing field are employed to examine a substantial amount of text data within educational curriculum textbooks. We comprehensively examine the frequency of knowledge incorporated in AI curricula, topic structure, and practical tool utilization. The degree to which keywords are reflected in curriculum textbooks and in the textbook characteristics are determined using Term Frequency (TF) and Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) analysis, respectively. The topic structure distribution is derived by Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) topic modeling and the trained model is visualized using PyLDAvis. Furthermore, the variation in vertical content range or level is investigated by content analysis, considering the tools used to teach similar AI knowledge. Lastly, the implications for AI curriculum structure are discussed in terms of curriculum composition, knowledge construction, practical application, and curriculum utilization. This study provides practical guidance for structuring curricula that effectively foster AI competency based on a systematic research methodology.

World Englishes in English Language Teaching Textbook of Public Primary Schools

There is a dearth of research on English textbook analysis with respect to World Englishes in Punjab, Pakistan. The current study aimed to identify the nouns used in English textbooks at primary level with a major focus on Pakistani English (PakE). The data for this qualitative research was collected from English Textbook of Grade 5, published by PCTB (Punjab Curriculum Textbook Board). The current study employed Kachru’s three concentric circle model comprising of inner, outer, and expanding circles to analyse the data. The findings depicted that most of the vocabulary used in this textbook was derived from South Asian Englishes (SAmE) and common Standard British English (SBrE), which are norm-providing countries. The authors obtained lexemes from these standardised varieties of English. However, the presence of PakE variety equals the use of SAmE which apparently shows that Pakistanis are creating their own vocabulary which they are unaware of. The current study would help the authors of English textbooks and policy-makers to determine which variety of English they should focus on, with the aim of using it consistently.

An improved extrinsic monolingual plagiarism detection approach of the Bengali text

Plagiarism is an act of literature fraud, which is presenting others’ work or ideas without giving credit to the original work. All published and unpublished written documents are under the cover of this definition. Plagiarism, which increased significantly over the last few years, is a concerning issue for students, academicians, and professionals. Due to this, there are several plagiarism detection tools or software available to detect plagiarism in different languages. Unfortunately, negligible work has been done and no plagiarism detection software available in the Bengali language where Bengali is one of the most spoken languages in the world. In this paper, we have proposed a plagiarism detection tool for the Bengali language that mainly focuses on the educational and newspaper domain. We have collected 82 textbooks from the National Curriculum of Textbooks (NCTB), Bangladesh, scrapped all articles from 12 reputed newspapers and compiled our corpus with more than 10 million sentences. The proposed method on Bengali text corpus shows an accuracy rate of 97.31%
