The concept of "territory" is of vital importance as one of the most important subjects of law and international relations. As is well known, territories can often be disputed either between states or within states. These disputes can lead to bigger conflicts later. The issue of disputed territories between Azerbaijan and Georgia revolves primarily around Borchali and Zagatala regions. The general information about Borchali region is that this region is mainly inhabited by ethnic Azerbaijanis and has historical ties with both Azerbaijan and Georgia. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the borders drawn during the Soviet era have become an object of controversy. The general information about Zagatala region is that Zagatala is located in the north of Azerbaijan, near the Georgian border. The region has ethnic and cultural significance for both countries. The current situation is that Zagatala, like Borchali, has a mixed population.

Sun Salutations during the Winter Solstice in Planet Earth’s Southern Hemisphere

The article examines the cultural and spiritual significance of sun salutations during the winter solstice in the Southern Hemisphere, focusing on the historical reverence for the sun across various civilizations, including the Egyptians, Aztecs, and Chinese. It highlights the sun's role in spiritual and religious traditions, proposing that sun worship is one of humanity's oldest religions. The study integrates modern practices like yoga and breath work, emphasizing their benefits in reducing stress and enhancing well-being. Utilizing a phenomenological approach, the research combines poetry, photography, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) analysis to explore the symbolic and emotional connections between the sun and human experience. Participants contributed poems, haikus, narratives, and photographs, which were analyzed using AI tools to enhance data interpretation. The analysis revealed themes of rebirth, renewal, introspection, and spirituality, underscoring the sun's transformative power and its metaphorical role as a divine presence. The findings indicate a positive sentiment, with the sun depicted as a source of hope, renewal, and spiritual connection. Themes such as growth, resilience, and tranquility suggest that sun interactions evoke feelings of calmness and reflection, promoting mental well-being. The study highlights the potential of AI in qualitative research, offering a novel approach to understanding human experiences and emotions. It concludes by acknowledging the sun's multifaceted influence on human experience and the potential for AI-generated content to enrich the exploration of natural phenomena and their impact on spirituality and healing. Future research aims to further explore the interaction between nature, poetry, and AI in understanding human emotions and cultural heritage.

Implementation of Regional Regulation No 11 of 2016 Concerning the Development Master plan Regional Tourism: A Proposal for Improvement from a Sustainability Perspective

Fort Otanaha has a rich historical value. Built in the 16th century by the Kingdom of Gorontalo, the fort is one of the glorious examples of ancient defence architecture. Known as a symbol of the strength and courage of the Gorontalo people against the invaders, the fort has a strong symbolic value for the local community and is an integral part of cultural identity. This research aims to find out and describe the implementation and determinants of the implementation of regional regulation number 11 of 2016 concerning regional tourism development master plan at Otanaha fort tourist attraction Gorontalo City. This research was conducted in Otanaha Fort tourist attraction and Gorontalo City Government environment. The research was conducted in May - October 2024. The research approach used is a qualitative method with descriptive research methods and research procedures carried out by observation and interviews with informants. The data analysis technique was carried out through three stages starting from data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results showed that the implementation of Regional Regulation Number 11 of 2016 concerning Regional Tourism Development Master Plan in Fort Otanaha tourist attraction in Gorontalo City aims to develop a sustainable tourism sector and increase local economic potential. This policy covers various aspects, from infrastructure development, cultural heritage preservation, to tourism promotion. Despite experiencing challenges, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, strategic measures such as improving accessibility and cooperation between various related agencies are expected to maximise the tourism potential of Fort Otanaha as a leading destination. At the planning stage, various tourism development strategies and programmes were prepared to increase tourist attractiveness. Furthermore, in the implementation, various initiatives are carried out, such as infrastructure development and human resource training. Monitoring and evaluation were conducted to ensure conformity between plan and realisation, as well as to identify any obstacles that arose. Despite the challenges, collaborative efforts between relevant agencies contribute to sustainable tourism development. The successful implementation of Regional Regulation No. 11/2016 at Fort Otanaha is influenced by several factors, namely the standard factor and policy objectives are good because they provide clear direction in implementation.

Anthroponyms: the lexico-semantic approach to word formation and its social and cultural implications

Abstract The relevance of the study is that specific individual linguistic customs and traditions are characteristic of each nation. The objective of the study is to examine the key aspects of anthroponyms and the methodology of their development in Turkish and Kazakh languages. In conducting the research, general scientific and special methods were used to achieve its goals and objectives. Its main results can be defined as follows. It was argued that the lexical-semantic approach to word formation is one of the most widespread approaches to the creation of meaningful anthroponyms, reflecting the features and characteristics of the named person. According to the results of the conducted research, the necessity of studying anthroponyms and word formations was revealed and substantiated. The reason for this is that they have an important social and cultural significance in the process of interaction between the peoples of the world, as well as the study of their cultural heritage. The latter is directly related to the fact that personal names express moral and philosophical values of a certain ethos, fix in themselves the history, traditions, and beliefs of a particular society or community. As a result of the research, it was concluded that anthroponyms in the onomastic field of any language of the world are nuclear constituents. At the same time, the whole set of anthroponyms contained in it will be unique, as the factors influencing the speakers of the language will differ.

Seismic Behavior Analysis of a 14th Century Anatolian Seljuk Kumbet

The preservation of cultural heritage and the seismic resilience of historic buildings are crucial for maintaining social identity, particularly in earthquake-prone regions. This study focuses on the modeling of Sırçalı Kumbet, a Seljuk monument built in the 14th century in Kayseri province, located in the Central Anatolia region of Turkey, using survey drawings and analysis using the finite element method (FEM) to evaluate its seismic performance. The analysis indicates that linear elastic calculation methods can serve as an initial approach for evaluating such geometrically complex structures. The findings demonstrate that Sırçalı Kumbet exhibits substantial structural rigidity, reducing deformation and enhancing resistance to material fatigue during seismic events. Displacement and stress analyses under G+EQx and G+EQy loading conditions reveal that tensile and compressive stresses remain within acceptable limits, with localized exceedances occurring at specific points, such as cavity corners and wall bases. While these localized stresses are manageable, they highlight areas that require continuous monitoring and potential reinforcement to ensure long-term stability. Additionally, the study suggests that the integration of regular maintenance and targeted reinforcement measures can further improve the monument’s durability and minimize potential damage. This research underscores the essential role of the FEM in bridging the gap between cultural heritage conservation and seismic resilience. It provides a methodological framework for integrating architectural, restoration, and engineering expertise into comprehensive conservation strategies. Future studies should expand this approach to include various building types and material properties to enhance the development of preservation strategies.

Research on the Innovative Design of Yunnan Intangible Cultural Heritage tile cat Image

Driven by the development of modern design and the need for the protection of intangible cultural heritage, the innovative application of the image of tile cat has become an important topic to promote the inheritance of national culture. Based on the traditional image of tile cat, this study analyzes its cultural symbolic meaning and artistic characteristics in Yunnan, and explores its application form and value in contemporary design. The main purpose of this study is to explore the innovative path of tile cat in modern art design by exploring the symbolic connotation and artistic style of tile cat, so as to promote the modern expression of national traditional art. The research methods include literature analysis, field research and image analysis, revealing the potential application value of tile cat shape in graphic design, cultural and creative products and public space decoration, and trying to find a concrete path suitable for the innovative design of tile cat image, and propose a design framework combined with current design trends. The study shows that the unique shape and cultural symbolism of tile cat are not only suitable for symbolic processing and artistic innovation, but also have strong market potential. Therefore, it is proposed to integrate the image of tile cat into modern design through design strategies such as element extraction, symbol transformation and scene application, which not only retains the national cultural characteristics but also meets the contemporary aesthetic needs. This study provides innovative ideas for the inheritance of Yunnan tile cats in modern art design, and puts forward practical suggestions for the inheritance and revitalization of national art in the contemporary environment, providing a reference for promoting the innovative development of China's traditional national culture.

Linguistic relations between the Turko-Tatar and Chinese peoples

The ties between the Turkic-Tatar and Chinese peoples have a centuries-old history, beginning with ancient times when the Great Silk Road connected the West and the East, creating conditions for the exchange of goods, ideas and cultural values, and these relationships continue to this day.The connections between the Turks and the Chinese are characterized both by unity and various contradictions. The historical, cultural, social and linguistic aspects of the interaction between these two ethnic groups constitute a multifaceted object of research. This research allows us to understand how these peoples have exchanged cultural values, traded and interacted over the centuries. Modern linguistic communications are studied in the context of globalization and migration processes. The role of information technology and social networks in the preservation and development of language contacts is becoming increasingly important today.In the socio-economic aspect, the work studies the influence of language contacts on trade and economic relations. The knowledge of language and cultural characteristics can both contribute to and hinder the development of business relations and cooperation between the Turkic-Tatar and Chinese peoples.Thus, the proposed article reflects part of the history of mutual enrichment and cultural exchange of linguistic communication between the Turkic-Tatar and Chinese peoples. A deep understanding of these processes and their study show that they are important not only for preserving our historical and cultural heritage, but also for the further development of cooperation and friendship between the peoples.

Archaeographical expeditions of Kazan University.

The article highlights the study of the history of the archaeological expeditions undertaken by Kazan University, their scientific and social significance and their role in the Tatar people’s life. The study is based on a review of handwritten and rare printed books found during these expeditions, organised over the course of half a century.Having worked in 900 settlements in 15 regions of five autonomous Russian republics, the archaeographic expeditions of Kazan University returned to the Tatar reader more than 10,000 manuscripts in the Turkic-Tatar, Arabic and Persian languages, about one and a half thousand printed books. Among the found manuscripts, the most prevalent are records of religious content: the Koran, Karim, Havtiyak, hadiths, prayer books, religious works on the history of the prophets, monuments of language, literature, oral folklore, history, medicine and ethics. The significance of these expeditions was not limited to the collection, accumulation and scientific study of the manuscript monuments, but at one time, it was the only way to preserve them from disappearance forever. This article makes this process the main object of our study, it specifies the contribution of archaeographic expeditions both to the history of the Tatar people, and to the development of literary criticism, determining its novelty and relevance.The main objective of the research within the article is to study the history, scientific and national cultural significance of the archaeographic expeditions carried out at Kazan University.

It explores how traditional practices, rituals, and beliefs contribute to identity in Eastern cultures, with a focus on ancestral worship and family heritage. In contrast, Western societies emphasize the preservation of tangible cultural heritage through museums and institutions. The paper also addresses the tension between cultural preservation and modernization, particularly in the context of globalization. The findings underscore the importance of balancing heritage protection with contemporary development and the role of education in this process.

The Transformation of Batik Motif: Transforming Interior Spaces to be More Aesthetic with Batik Patterned Metal Ceilings

Batik continues to evolve beyond its traditional function. This study explores the innovative transformation of batik motifs into metal ceilings as a representation of the integration of traditional aesthetics with modern technology in contemporary interior design. The main objective of the study is to analyse the potential for developing batik-patterned metal ceilings that combine cultural values with technological innovation. The research methodology uses a mixed qualitative and quantitative approach, including literature studies, design observations, and manufacturing technology experiments. The study focuses on the transformation of ceplok batik motifs, especially kawung, into metal panels using stamping and forming techniques. Aluminium and copper were chosen as the main materials due to their lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and design flexibility characteristics. The research process involved the development of Appropriate Technology for stamping and forming metal that allows the creation of ceilings with precise batik motif details. Experimentation includes designing special dies, setting metal forming parameters, and finishing. The results of the study indicate the success of transforming traditional batik motifs into metal ceilings that have high aesthetic value and practical functions. This innovation not only produces interior design products, but also makes a significant contribution to the preservation and development of cultural heritage through a contemporary approach. The study concludes that the transformation of batik motifs into metal ceilings successfully brings together tradition and modernity. This approach opens up new opportunities in interior design that respect cultural heritage while taking advantage of advances in manufacturing technology, while expanding the appreciation of batik in a more dynamic and innovative context.

Tourism Communication Strategies for Promoting Cultural Heritage in Sumenep: Analyzing Stakeholder Roles and Engagement

This research investigates the tourism communication strategies used to promote Sumenep’s cultural heritage, focusing on the roles and engagement of key stakeholders such as local government, tourism operators, community leaders, and cultural institutions. The study, using a qualitative approach and thematic analysis via NVIVO software, examines how communication is structured and coordinated among these groups to enhance tourism. The findings highlight that successful tourism communication relies on strong collaboration between local authorities and community leaders, with cultural events and heritage preservation playing a central role. The research concludes by recommending improved communication strategies through stakeholder alignment and the inclusion of local cultural narratives for better tourism development in the region.

Harmonizing the Old and the New

This paper seeks to uncover terms of comparability between Bogdan Bogdanović’s and Dušan Grabrijan’s texts, building on a thorough translation and interpretation of the written work published by Bogdanović in Mali Urbanizam and by Grabrijan on Sarajevo between 1936 and 1942. From 1956 to 1958, at the beginning of a successful career as an architect of memorials and monuments, Bogdan Bogdanović produced a monthly column called ‘Mali Urbanizam’ (Small-scale urbanism) in Borba, the Yugoslav publication that bestowed the coveted yearly prize for architecture. This body of articles includes topics concerning urban design, architecture, art, and how reinterpretations and reflections of historical cities and heritage may suggest spatial features adaptable in the post-war reconstruction of Yugoslavia. It is no coincidence that his first article was dedicated to Jože Plečnik, whom Bogdanović considered a pioneer in small-scale urbanism.Through a comparative analysis of texts by Grabrijan and Bogdanović, this paper identifies the topic of historic urban ensembles both as precedent and as an area for modern design intervention, given the layered and multifold cultural built heritage that preceded the unification of Yugoslavia. The term ‘ensemble’ is here used to encompass the formal and historical peculiarities of Yugoslav cities, including the juxtaposition of eclectic buildings and Ottoman urban fabric, a townscape where buildings adapted to an almost untamed landscape, unlike the clashing of old and new in recent socialist urban expansions. Both Grabrijan and Bogdanović used newspaper articles as a medium to initiate an alphabetization process on the intrinsic values of urban heritage. Their efforts were embraced by a small group of students and fellow architects in an attempt to define a ‘national style’ that would capture all these complexities.

How Radical Exactly?

The international competition for the new regulation plan of Novi Sad was held in 1937, in which Juraj Neidhardt’s design was awarded compensation instead of a prize. However, upon further consideration, the city administration decided to adopt a new version of Neidhardt’s plan in the following years. In addition to this plan, he won the administration’s trust to design a series of lower-level plans for the city in 1938-1941. Therefore, Neidhardt became the most prominent figure in the urban planning process triggered by the 1937 competition. However, his final regulation plan for the city from 1941 was rejected in the first post-war revision in 1945, failing to lead to any fruition. Nevertheless, the researchers later characterized the radical modernist approach of this plan as the inspiration for the subsequent general plans of Novi Sad, namely due to introducing the idea of cutting new axes through the urban tissue. There is room today, however, to re-evaluate these claims about the radicalness of Neidhardt’s plan since its solutions were deemed insufficient in bringing radical quality to the urban space of Novi Sad. Furthermore, in the 1938-1941 period, he designed a series of perspective drawings for the new regulation of the streets in the oldest urban core of the city, which brought a decisively modernist approach to treating the urban heritage: keeping only a selection of the most iconic monuments while replacing the rest of it with new modernist structures. These designs can contribute to reinstate the knowledge about Neidhardt’s approach to treating historical heritage, considering his later intricate studies of Bosnian and Macedonian architectural landscapes.

The Role and Significance of Monastic Chronicles in Reflecting Social and Monastic Life in Ukrainian Lands in the

The article presents the role and significance of monastic chronicles from Ukrainian lands as an important element of reflections on the historical processes of a given era. They were written in Ukrainian, which is very close to the people’s spoken language. Keeping chronicles in monasteries was one of the main tasks of monks and nuns, who left behind a rich spiritual and historical heritage. The development of historical events in the Church and the state during those times is shown using one such chronicles, namely the chronicle of the monastery of the Protection of the Mother of God in Yavoriv in the years 1897–1935. The monastery of the Basilian Sisters in Yavoriv was the center of spiritual and cultural life for Ukrainians. The chronicle compiled there reflects not only the facts of the monastic life of the Basilian Sisters, but also events from the social, political and cultural life of the region at that time. It is a valuable source of research for both historians and linguists.

Design and Study of Cultural and Tourism Publicity Based on the Creative Bazaar of "Pear Blossom Hanfu Festival" in Qianshan, Anshan, China

This paper mainly focuses on the study of "Pear Blossom Hanbok Festival" in Chanshan, Anshan, and explores the background and significance of its development by analysing the current situation of this activity. In terms of research methodology, a combination of fieldwork and literature analysis is adopted. The concept of "Pear Blossom Hanbok Festival" creative bazaar culture and tourism promotion design is proposed, aiming to promote the inheritance and development of local culture through the integration of culture and tourism. In terms of the promotion and operation of the event, specific programmes were designed and analysed with a view to enhancing the visibility and attractiveness of the event. The comprehensive analysis shows that the study of the cultural and tourism promotion design of the "Pear Blossom Hanbok Festival" creative bazaar in Anshan has certain practical significance, which can help the dissemination and promotion of local culture.

Research on the Colored Treatment for the Restoration of Blue and White Porcelain in Art Exhibitions

In art exhibitions, the restoration of blue-and-white porcelain not only demands technical precision but also artistic sensibility. The coloring process, being a crucial element of restoration, directly influences the aesthetic quality and historical authenticity of the repair. This paper, through an analysis of the typical types of damage, restoration principles, and steps involved in blue-and-white porcelain, explores key techniques such as color analysis, material selection, and coloring processes. By integrating specific case studies, it thoroughly examines the methods and skills of coloring treatment in the restoration of blue-and-white porcelain, aiming to provide scientific guidance for the restoration of such pieces in art exhibitions.

There is a unique cultural significance and identity in the cultural life of the Sinhalese villagers who reside in hill areas of Sabaragamuwa, Uwa and Central provinces. It was observed that this hill culture is different from the Sri Lankan established village. Hill country Sinhalese are entwined with the geographical hill area economically, socially, religiously, agriculturally and politically. Hill country and humans are interconnected with cultural values and factors. This study attempts to study the regional language of hill country culture and introduce it to Sri Lankan academic discourse. It is proposed to explore hill country community as a social structure different from traditional village community. The objective of the study was to identify the cultural identity of hill country community and propose the cultural and theoretical foundation which is necessary to understand their social, economic political and religious needs. This is a qualitative research study conducted using inductive method. Sri Lankan village is recognized with the 'lake, stupa, village, temple' concept. It is the main concept with reference to village in cultural discourse. It was conceptualized by this language study that a hill country village culture was developed in relation to hill country and Sabaragamu hills from a long time. By differentiating this hill country human culture as a new social set, a novel village cultural text could be introduced to Sri Lankan society.

Loss, Grief and Planetary Literacy in Informational Picturebooks for Children

Death is an inevitable part of life with philosophical, cultural and religious dimensions and its problematic emerges differently in the contemporary era, since it is not only perceived as a fundamental aspect of human existence, but also as a consequence of human-made disasters, as well as an urgent environmental concern. Today literary and, in general, artistic narratives and expressions often explore death beyond human exceptionalism; ecocide; the triple planetary crisis; and the mourning for humanity’s doomed relationship to nature. Several contemporary authors, with the help of the illustrators, write ironic and horrific stories addressed to children that alter the cultural significance of loss and death and propound dark ecological storyworlds, in which the ecological problems as well as the more-than-human vulnerabilities, aspire to make young readers aware of the functions of the pale blue dot they live in and perceive it as the true public space. This article examines how do informational picturebooks for children approach life and death in a more ‘ecosophical’ manner, proving that the planetary turn has made available to literary studies, aiming to make young readers aware of how humans and nonhumans are fundamentally enmeshed in and negatively interdependent with one another.

Emergency Documentation and Virtual Model of a Rock Art Palimpsest from Garowe, Nugaal Region, Somalia

Puntland is a critically relevant and yet virtually unexplored region for the past of Eastern Africa. Here we present a newly documented cave with multi-layered rock art found surveying Nugaal region, Somalia, in the framework of an international project aimed at cultural heritage preservation and cooperation.

Digital Technology Energizes Inter-Museum Cultural Exchange Exhibitions

As an important way to promote global cultural diversity and international understanding, inter-museum cultural exchange exhibitions are of immeasurable value in revitalizing museum resources, deepening public education and promoting international cooperation. Through a combination of literature analysis and case studies, this paper discusses in detail the effects of digital technology in inter-museum cultural exchange exhibitions on deepening public education, leading the dialogue on social issues, alleviating the loss of cultural relics, inheriting national history and culture, realizing data sharing, and promoting cultural exchanges and cultural heritage protection. It aims to give better play to the interpretation and service functions of museum exhibitions, strengthen the long-term preservation and rational utilization of human cultural heritage, and promote the exchanges and sustainable development of civilizations in different countries and regions.
