The objectives of this research were to study the operating conditions of guesthouse business in the Luang Prabang city, to study The Participation toward on Corporate Social Responsibilities of the guesthouse business in the Luang Prabang city Luang Prabang Province and to analyze the Corporate Social Responsibilities participation influences the operation of the guesthouse business in the Luang Prabang city Luang Prabang Province. The research was conducted by using a questionnaire as an instrument for collecting data from 124 Guesthouse Entrepreneurs/executives in the Luang Prabang city, Luang Prabang Province. The Cronbach alpha reliability coefficient was 0.968. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, multiple regression analysis. The results found that: In terms of success in the operation of the guesthouse business, it was found that the overall the business has a high level of success consisted of marketing, internal Management, products\services and Financial Perspective. Participation toward Corporate Social Responsibilities of the guesthouse business in Luang Prabang city. Overall, the Guesthouse business had been involved in social responsibility at a higher level. With a lot of responsibility towards on Good corporate governance of the organization, the Conducting business with fairness in the organization, the corporate consumer responsibility, the Environmental carrying and the participating development in community and social. The Social responsibility in terms of environmental responsibility and the participating development in community and social had influences the financial /returns of the Guesthouse business, the participating development in community and social had influences in the Marketing of the guesthouse business, social responsibility in terms of the Conducting business with fairness in the organization and the participating development in community and social had influences in the management and Products\Services of the guesthouse business in the Luang Prabang city.

An Intelligent Network Method for Analyzing Corporate Consumer Repurchase Behavior Using Deep Learning Neural Networks

Earth system models (ESMs) are our key tools for analyzing the planet's existing state and predicting its evolution in the next continuing human-caused events. However, the use of artificial intelligence (AI) approaches to augment or even replace conventional ESM functions has expanded in recent years, raising hopes that AI will be able to overcome some of the major difficulties in climate research. We address the advantages and disadvantages of neural ESM neurons, as well as the unsolved question of whether AI will eventually replace ESMs. Dynamic geophysical events are the foundation of Earth and environmental studies. Given the widespread acceptance of AI and the growing amount of Earth data, the geoscientific community may wish to seriously explore using artificial intelligence (AI) approaches at a much deeper level. Although it is a tall ambition to integrate hybrid physics and AI approaches from a fresh perspective, geology has yet to figure out how to make such methods feasible. This research is an important step towards realising the concept of combining physics and artificial intelligence to address problems with the Earth's system.

Consumer objective and subjective knowledge about healthy foods: An approach to promote healthy lifestyle choices in South Africa.

Unhealthy food choices and consumption, coupled with sedentary lifestyles among consumers, intensify public health concerns regarding the quadruple disease burden, despite Primary Health Care (PHC) policy. However, the current relationship between consumer knowledge about healthy foods and following a healthy lifestyle needs to be explored. Our study, therefore, aimed to determine the association between consumers' subjective and objective knowledge about healthy foods and various healthy lifestyle choices. A cross-sectional survey was conducted among employed consumers (N = 157) from South African corporate settings. We used structural equation modelling (SEM) to determine associations between subjective and objective knowledge about healthy foods and healthy lifestyle choices. Our findings showed that most participants scored high on making healthy lifestyle choices relating to avoiding smoking (69.5%) and limiting drinking alcohol (68.7%) but less so for food and sleep (44.4%) while neglecting exercise, relaxation (13.7%), and choices that require dedicated effort (25.2%). On average, participants had high levels of subjective (mean = 3.59; 5-point Likert scale) knowledge and objective knowledge about healthy foods (88.4-95.9% correct responses). However, their objective knowledge about weight and cholesterol had severe deficiencies (36.7%). SEM confirmed an association between subjective knowledge and most healthy lifestyle choice categories, while income contributed to dedicated effort lifestyle choices. By contrast, objective knowledge did not associate with such choices. Our structural model suggests that subjective knowledge about healthy foods contributes to healthy lifestyle choices. Therefore, subjective knowledge and the objective knowledge deficiencies we identified among corporate consumers can serve as a valuable starting point for informed education to promote PHC policy and healthy lifestyle choices.

Effect of Price, Promotion, and Brand Image on Purchasing Decision at PT. Agri Tepa Abadi

This study aims to analyze and identify the effect of price, promotion and brand image both simultaneously and partially on purchasing decisions at PT Agri Tepa Abadi. The questionnaire was distributed to 100 respondents who were taken by proportional stratified random sampling with the population divided into 2 groups, namely 19 corporate consumer respondents and 81 end consumer respondents. The questionnaire was tested with a validity test, reliability test, and also classical assumption test. The results of these tests are valid, reliable, and can be used for regression data. The analysis method used in this research is descriptive and verification method with quantitative approach.

Classifying Customer Attributes with Importance Performance Analysis and Fuzzy Kano

Analyzing what consumer needs remains every day’s challenge for every business. Every business entity requires continuous effort as consumers become more demanding and have more access to product/service offerings, leading to more competitive market dynamics and the necessity for more innovative ways of offering products/services. The research aims to recommend a set of customer attributes for the studied company and analyze the selected attributes using a combination of Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and fuzzy Kano. The research is a case study of a company selling gift vouchers for individual and corporate consumers. The research combines literature study and affinity diagram workshop to identify the required consumer attributes, which are analyzed using the integration of IPA and fuzzy Kano. The results suggest that the studied company should concentrate on several attributes, such as A7-simple requirement during the purchasing process, A10-no administration fee during purchase, A14-cross promotion with various sister brands, and A15-no minimum purchase. The attributes fall under “concentrate here” in the IPA grid while at the same time, those are considered as “effective improving area” in the fuzzy Kano grid. The studied company is also recommended to keep their good work on the attribute of A5-expiry date longer than one year so that it remains their competitive attribute and does not fall into the other inferior quadrants.

The epidemic has been ongoing for nearly three years and has had a significant impact on many industries, especially the tourism industry. This study focuses on Ctrip homestays to study how companies gain customer trust and enhance brand value by enhancing social responsibility during the epidemic. At present, there is no consensus on whether corporate social responsibility can produce good results in crises. This study uses stakeholder theory, normative activation model, and planned behavior theory to study the impact of consumer trust and corporate consumer identity regulation of social responsibility on online repurchase intention. It also investigates the pathways through which individual and social norms affect corporate social responsibility’s willingness to repeat purchases. The survey sample selected 528 Chinese users of Ctrip. The research results showed that strategic charity activities directly affect consumers’ evaluation of corporate social responsibility, and environmental, economic, and ethical factors can also affect consumers’ evaluation of corporate social responsibility. Perceived corporate social responsibility does not directly affect consumers’ willingness to repurchase, but it indirectly affects consumers’ willingness to repurchase through their recognition of the company, while personal norms weaken the impact of perceived social responsibility and consumer trust on repurchase intention.

Energy communities for companies: Executives’ preferences for local and renewable energy procurement

Energy communities are a cornerstone of the European energy transition. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) exhibit a particularly high potential for energy communities due to their energy demand and flexibility volume. However, in contrast to residential consumers, empirical evidence on SMEs' preferences for participating in renewable energy communities is scarce. This study investigates European SMEs' preferences for local and renewable energy procurement in four countries with a choice experiment. Our sample includes decisions by 823 executives for different energy procurement offers with an energy community approach. In the study, in 67% of the choices, SMEs prefer a renewable energy community offer to their current supply option even without a price premium. Cost is the most important factor in SMEs' energy supply decisions. SMEs have marked preferences for local providers, low administration efforts and high interest in demand-side management and peer-to-peer trading. In contrast, SMEs might reject energy procurement models when major time investments are required, or the provider is an international company. Offers that include local companies or electricity providers and provide smart energy management are most likely to win SMEs' consent. The study recommends orienting the business model design of energy communities towards the specific preferences of corporate consumers to leverage their potential. The results suggest that electricity providers are well-accepted players by SMEs as potential providers of energy community solutions. National implementations of the European policy directive are recommended to take into account the role electricity providers can play in the development and operation of energy communities.

Methodology for assessing the influence of external and internal factors on the development of the digital economy

Purpose. To develop a mathematical model and propose an algorithm for analyzing and evaluating the impact on the digital economy and forming the method for choosing the factors of the external and internal impact which require institutional management measures. Methodology. Special and general methods of scientific knowledge are used: mathematical methods – for developing a model for assessing the effects on the digital economy and choosing institutional management measures; methods of analytical research – to distinguish groups of factors; the method of analysis and synthesis – when determining the most important factors and groups of influence and developing a management algorithm. Findings. Factors influencing the directions of investment in digital technologies for mass and corporate consumers and a significant difference in the amount of financing according to them have been identified. The possibility of a decrease in the level of competitiveness of the country due to the inadequacy of investing in digital technologies for the corporate sector is indicated. Management actions to increase investment in digital technologies for the corporate sector are recommended. Originality. The mathematical model and algorithm have been developed for the analysis and assessment of impacts on the digital economy and the formation of a method for selecting impact factors that require management measures. Using a mathematical model, the area of investing in the development of the digital economy was analyzed and management proposals for this area were developed. Practical value. The developed mathematical model for the analysis and assessment of impacts on the digital economy and the algorithm for monitoring, analysis and management of impacts can be implemented for scientific and practical purposes.

An optimal train journey with bounds on energy consumption during specified intermediate time intervals

In order to mitigate consumption of electrical energy during periods of peak demand it is common for electricity system operators to offer financial incentives that encourage large corporate consumers to reduce power usage at designated critical times. For train operators on large rail networks it may be more profitable to limit energy consumption during these times, for selected individual train journeys, rather than always implementing a true optimal strategy that minimizes overall energy consumption. In this paper we use classical methods of constrained optimization to find driving strategies for a single train that minimize energy consumption subject to constraints on energy usage within designated high-demand time intervals during the journey. We illustrate our results by considering a journey with realistic parameters and two different nominal sets of energy consumption constraints.

Dynamics of the Insurance Paradigm Analysis in Pakistan: An Evidence of Leading Islamic, Public and Private Insurers

This paper explores the dynamics of the general insurance paradigm throughout six different companies, NICL (National Insurance Company), EFU (Easter Federal Union), Adamjee, Jubilee General Insurance, Salaam Takaful Limited, and Pak-Qatar Takaful, in the developing economy of Pakistan from 2012 to 2021. To examine collective long-run outcomes, Pedroni and Kao tests were taken to measure the impact of public and private corporate entities as well as the cause-and-effect relation of each regressor on the dependent variable of solvency ratio, Granger causality and the Pooled Mean Group-Autoregressive Distributed Lag (PMG-ARDL) model have been used. According to the estimated outcomes, it has been deliberately observed that except for the claim ratio, all other explanatory variables positively influence the solvency ratio. In future, this paper will be help out researcher, practitioners, and public sector corporate consumer demand and service quality issues under the general insurance paradigm conventional and Islamic insurance as well.

Anchoring Effect and People’s Behaviour Decision Making: A Case Study

Many people may not have a systematic understanding of the anchoring effect theory, but they are often dominated by this behavior. The anchoring effect is widely used in economic and consumer decision-making behavior, and people often use it unconsciously or consciously, and it is seriously affected in judgment. This paper intends to conduct a comprehensive and systematic study on the anchoring effect to find out how the anchoring effect works in people's lives, in corporate pricing, and in marketing. This article adopts literature analysis method and case analysis method. Firstly, through the literature review, the development and theoretical framework of the anchoring effect are systematically sorted out. Secondly, this paper selects typical cases such as life consumption, corporate behavior, and company marketing to analyze how companies use anchoring effects to achieve their goals, and how consumers are affected by them. This paper finds that the anchoring effect is a common cognitive bias. If companies can make good use of this theory for pricing, publicity, and marketing, they will receive unexpected success. For individuals, they should take the initiative to avoid being affected by the anchoring effect and stick to their own ideas. This paper hopes that through this research, readers can have a clearer understanding of the principle of anchoring effect, and consumers can improve their ability to identify anchoring marketing. Enterprises can moderately use this theory to promote products, and corporate consumers can improve their ability to identify anchor marketing.

Assessing the impact of installation of prepaid water meters on performance of lilongwe waterboard

The impact of the installation of prepaid water meters on the performance of Lilongwe Waterboard, a water utility company in Malawi, was the main focus of this study. A survey was conducted among corporate consumers using prepaid water meters, and the data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that prepaid water meters have improved the billing of corporate customers, with monthly bills decreasing significantly after the introduction of prepaid meters. However, customers still faced challenges such as inconsistent water supply, high installation costs, high operational costs, inability to purchase water due to poor network, and low water pressure. The study recommends that Lilongwe Waterboard should continue to improve its services to minimize customer complaints. Further research is needed to assess the impact of prepaid water meters in other locations. Due to its high cost and the service provider's inability to maximize revenue from the generated billing, the system has received a lot of criticism from customers. It is necessary to determine the billing patterns prior to and following the implementation of prepaid water meters and to assess the impact of those patterns on the operation of the Lilongwe Waterboard.

Methodology of establishing communications with corporate consumers in the construction materials market

Modern world dictates its own conditions, and every entrepreneur must master the art of sales strategy, not only master it but also win the battle for profits and market share. Today, strategy is a long-term action plan aimed at achieving an enterprise’s global goals. Prior to forming a detailed by-element sales strategy, special attention must be paid to personnel policy because a large part of the success depends on a manager`s individual professional qualities, expertise, communication skills, knowledge, and practice in implementing sales techniques, etc. The authors explore the influence of various channels on the organization's sales volume and suggest basic tasks to form a “direct” selling strategy. The significance of a manager’s individual qualities as a mandatory prerequisite for the creation of a successful sales strategy has been established. Special attention is paid to the most effective sources of gathering information about construction objects of various types, which, in turn, allows constant monitoring of the sequence of works, acquisition of proper paperwork from the developer, determining constructional features of a building, and figure out construction technologies used on the object. Such an approach allows for reducing significantly the time spent on the preliminary stage of the sales – search, collection, and structuring information about the potential clients. An analysis of the received data on the implemented strategy was carried out, including all the mentioned components, which allowed, firstly, to cover the entire ground without losing the opportunity of the “touch” with every potential client and, secondly, to be fully prepared for the meeting with the client, which will be a solid foundation for sales techniques. On the basis of the received data, the effectiveness of the considered strategy and the sales department as a whole is evaluated. As a result, the most effective algorithm for materials sales in the construction market is suggested.

STRATEGIC PLANNING OF HIGHER AND VOCATIONAL TECHNICAL EDUCATION SYSTEMS’ DEVELOPMENT IN DNIPRO REGION

Institutions of vocational (vocational and technical) and higher education are a basic component of the educational process of Ukraine, which in turn is a potential for the development of the national economy and a factor for ensuring food and environmental security, forming the socio-economic foundations of the development of the territories of the state, and improving the material well-being of the population. In the new socio-economic conditions, the modern education management system is gradually acquiring features of public self-government and the state-public model of management, which should ensure Ukraine's transition to a post-information society. At the same time, the modern management system of professional (vocational and technical) education should ensure anticipatory innovative development, as well as create conditions for reproduction of the socio-cultural environment for the development, self-affirmation and self-realization of the individual throughout life. The fundamental factor of effective activity and sustainable development of professional (vocational and technical) education institutions in the conditions of the introduction of digitalization in the country is the strategic planning of the VET system. Regarding vocational education, strategic planning is studied as the definition of strategic directions of transforming the content of vocational education, development of strategy for designing innovative educational process in vocational education, substantiation and disclosure of information and network transformation of vocational education, systematic justification of innovations in vocational education technical education as the main mechanism for implementation the strategic goals of sectoral development. Within the available scientific research, such important areas as generalization of the current state of public regulation of the vocational education system as a basis for strategic planning of its development, updating the system of evaluating the effectiveness of vocational education, optimizing the structure of the vocational education network in general and regional levels, mechanisms for financing the system of vocational education etc. Solving these problems is possible only through using of strategic planning to bring innovative changes in the public management of VET institutions in the region to address the external efficiency of this educational sector, based on the priority of achieving socio-economic results rather than sectoral goals. The strategic planning of the development of the VET system at the national and regional levels is both an object and a mechanism of public management, in addition, it is institutionalized in the system of public management based on the formation of a complex of regulatory support for such management activities. Within the framework of the institutional approach, strategic planning should be considered as a comprehensive mechanism of public management of the development of the regional VET system on the basis of ensuring consistency between the demand for workers of a market nature and the trends of socio-economic development, as well as the needs of individual and corporate consumers of educational services.

Research on the Significance of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Technology to Enterprise Business Management

With the continuous development of information technology, China has officially entered into the era of big data, the enterprise business management has realized intelligent business management based on information technology, and the arrival of the era of big data has to some extent reduced its management and risk costs and improved its work efficiency and economic benefits, but at the same time, it also faces a series of challenges, such as with the continuous expansion of business scope. As the business scope continues to expand, its current management model cannot meet the development needs. The integration of artificial intelligence technology and enterprise business management has become the main trend of future development. The application of big data technology to corporate business management enables the production of products and the creation of product value in the direction of socialization, increases the mutual influence between companies and consumers, and enhances the fairness, openness, and justice between corporate development and consumer activities. In this paper, after a detailed understanding of the current situation of the combination of artificial intelligence technology and enterprise business management, we focus on the application path of artificial intelligence technology in enterprise business management and finally elaborate the future development direction of artificial intelligence technology in the field of enterprise business management, hoping to further deepen the relevant personnel’s understanding of artificial intelligence. Analyzing the current situation of business management development in China, this paper proposes applying big data technology and artificial intelligence technology to enterprise business management work and proposes a new model to bring new development opportunities and development directions for enterprise business management work. The big data technology proposed in this paper is based on cloud platform services, while artificial intelligence based on neural network is embedded in the cloud platform for enterprise business management services.

The invisible leash: when human brands hijack corporate brands' consumer relationships

PurposeCorporate brands increasingly use influential, high reach human brands (e.g. influencers, celebrities), who have strong parasocial relationships with their followers and audiences, to promote their offerings. However, despite emerging understanding of the benefits arising from human brand-based campaigns, knowledge about their potentially negative effects on the corporate brand remains limited. Addressing this gap, this paper deepens insight into the potential risk human brands pose to corporate brands.Design/methodology/approachTo explore these issues, this conceptual paper reviews and integrates literature on consumer brand engagement, human brands, brand hijacking and parasocial relationships.FindingsThough consumers' favorable human brand associations can be used to improve corporate brand outcomes, they rely on consumers' relationship with the endorsing human brand. Given the dependency of these brands, human brand-based marketing bears the risk that the human brand (vs the firm) “owns” the consumer's corporate brand relationship, which the authors coin relationship hijacking. This phenomenon can severely impair consumers' engagement and relationship with the corporate brand.Originality/valueThis paper sheds light on the role of human brands in strategic brand management. Though prior research has highlighted the positive outcomes accruing to the use of human brands, the authors identify its potential dark sides, thus exposing pivotal insight.

Dual-Channel Green Supply Chain Decision-Making and Coordination considering CSR and Consumer Green Preferences

With the rapid development of the Internet and changes in consumer buying habits, many manufacturers are increasingly relying on online channels to sell their products as opposed to traditional retail channels. In this study, we innovatively investigate the impact of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and consumer green preferences (CGP) on supply chain performance and product green level in the dual-channel green supply chain (DCGSC). Specifically, four models of DCGSC (centralized, independent CSR, cooperative CSR, and collaboration contract) are investigated. Next, we use game theory to investigate the optimal product green level, online and offline selling prices, social welfare, profits of supply chain enterprises, and the whole supply chain under the four models. We give numerical examples to demonstrate the effectiveness and viability of the four models. We find several interesting conclusions. First, increasing the attention to both CSR and CGP by supply chain enterprises is conducive to stimulating innovation and improving product green level. Second, when supply chain enterprises actively execute their CSR, they can reasonably control online and offline selling prices and increase consumer surplus and the profits of whole supply chain and social welfare are increased. Third, it is beneficial to increase the value of supply chain enterprises to enhance CSR within a certain threshold, but when CSR is higher than the threshold, the profitability of supply chain enterprises is weakened. Finally, collaboration contracts are capable of coordinating DCGSC and guaranteeing the profitability of supply chain enterprises.

Struggling With Business Corporate Cynical Impression? Powerful Methods of CSR to Enhance Corporate Image and Consumer Purchase Intention.

This study focuses on the perception of Chinese students about the image of the company and their purchase intention if the organization has a business cynical impression in the minds of its targeted customers. The study proposed three different types of corporate social responsibility (CSR) to cope up with the organizational cynical impression. These types are Economic and Legal CSR, Philanthropic CSR, and Ethical CSR. The main objective of this study is to determine which CSR type is better to reduce the corporate cynical impression on corporate image and the purchase intentions of consumers. In the study design, the bootstrap approach and AMOS 24 were employed to deal with mediation. The researchers recruited 500 individuals from different educational institutions in China using a simple random selection process. The outcomes of this study indicated that all three types of CSR are successful in mitigating the detrimental effects of corporate cynicism on the image of a firm and the purchase intentions of consumers. A more effective technique of boosting the corporate image of a company and purchase intention of a consumer is via charitable CSR, which may help restore the image of a company and the purchase intention of a consumer that has been affected by corporate cynicism among its target customers.

Sustainable growth in times of crisis: L’Oréal Russia

Learning outcomes This study enables to critically assess: what constitutes the consequences of a financial crisis to a multi-national enterprise operating in the emerging market of Russia; the decision-making processes behind crisis management and the corresponding search for informational grounds to be used as decision justification; and the role of sustainable development in times of crisis. Case overview/synopsis During the 2014–2015 financial crisis in Russia, L’Oréal Russia managed to increase growth by 7%–15%, strengthening its place as the market leader in the country. First, the case illustrates the way Antonio, the General Manager of L’Oréal Russia, had successfully approached this situation by learning from the shortcomings of the company’s strategy during the 2007–2008 crisis and deciding to take a proactive position concerning stakeholders. Then, upon recalling his success story, Antonio suddenly found himself at the dawn of yet another crisis caused simultaneously by the COVID-19 outbreak and oil prices drop. In the face of uncertainty regarding the applicability of prior crisis management strategy for the new economic and social reality of Russia, Antonio was worried about whether the company would be able to achieve the 2020 sustainable development goals of L’Oréal by the end of the year. The case dilemma involves choices Antonio faced during mid-March 2020 about strategy formulation based on an adjustment to the expected consumer behavior patterns and possible need to rethink sustainable development goals priority. Complexity academic level This case is appropriate for an undergraduate or graduate-level program curriculum for courses dedicated to or including topics related to crisis management, doing business in emerging markets, corporate social responsibility and consumer behavior. Before engaging with the case, the students should be aware of basic management- and economics-related concepts and terms, such as strategy, sustainable development, CSR and economic crisis.
