With ever-changing, environmental, and climate conditions companies have changed their viewpoint and striving towards green operations management practices to achieve sustainable growth. By practicing green operations management, it is observed that the operational efficiency and sustainability in production operations can be achieved simultaneously. Green operations management includes green design, green manufacturing, green logistics, and green purchase initiatives. In this paper, the green operations management practices are evaluated by using fuzzy AHP. Additionally, this paper highlights the benefits of green operations management over conventional operations management. To justify the adoption of green operations management practices, the fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (FAHP) is used for calculating the global desirability index for the green operations management practices and conventional operations management practices and a comparison is carried out between both global desirability indexes to justify the concepts of green operation management in the manufacturing industry. The proposed research is generalized and can be utilized by the managers working in different organizations to rethink and redesign their management policies to harness sustainable profits in the business operations of organizations without affecting the environment adversely.
