Using mobile learning to shape the national values of future teachers: An examination of practice

Comparative studies of national values are becoming increasingly important in the context of contemporary globalization processes. An essential condition for the shaping of national values in learners is the enrichment of pedagogical technology with components of digital technology. Both qualitative and quantitative approaches were used in the current study. The purpose of this research is to examine the efficacy of mobile learning in shaping the national values of prospective teachers. The experiment included 180 participants. Diagnostics of the levels of national values formation in the initial stage confirmed the assumption about the low formation of national values among teacher candidates and, consequently, the need for targeted work on their formation. This study demonstrates that significant advances in students’ national values have occurred following the introduction and testing of mobile learning with experimental group (EG) participants to shape national values. The data from this study can serve as the basis for creating strategies for shaping the national values of learners in universities and as a methodological basis for adapting mobile learning for the shaping of national values.

As the centuries pass, global civilization continues to evolve, fostering the progress of globalization processes. Consequently, contemporary society witnesses the increasing convergence of social, economic, political, and demographic processes, which amplifies the significance of international economic activities among nations. Throughout the stages of civilizational development, trade and transportation relations between states have been of paramount importance. In today’s context, this is even more pronounced, as the transportation of goods, transit, and customs procedures serve as mechanisms for shaping economic, social, and political relations among nations. Furthermore, they support developing countries in establishing themselves within regional and international trade markets. Georgia is no exception. Historically, it was a significant part of the Silk Road, linking East and West, facilitating the exchange of goods, cultures, and ideas. The strategic location of our country at the crossroads of Eastern Europe and Western Asia plays a vital role in regional and international transportation and trade. Georgia acts as a key connector, bridging historically distinct Europe and Asia. Thus, Georgia’s transit corridor emerges as a crucial element of regional and international transport and trade networks. The primary aim of this scientific work is to determine Georgia’s importance as a major transit country in the context of significant socio-economic developments of recent years. The subject of this study is the current state of Georgia’s transit potential, including goods transported via transit and the role of the TIR carnet system in these processes. The object of research is Georgia’s transit corridor and its geo-economic realities. Georgia is actively developing transit infrastructure to further enhance its role as a regional and international transit hub. Its strategic location at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, combined with ongoing infrastructure projects and efforts to improve transport connectivity, positions Georgia as a leading player in transit development. The country has established connections with neighboring states – Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey – as well as with major trading nations such as the United States, China, and Eastern European countries

Ludzie, język i przestrzeń – co mówi nam krajobraz multilingwistyczny Kuala Lumpur o mniejszości chińskiej w Malezji

The aim of this paper is to present the traces of the Chinese minority and their language in the urban space of Kuala Lumpur, based on a field survey of the multilingual landscape conducted in the capital of Malaysia in March 2023. The presented results prove the dominance of English over both Chinese and Malay in the urban space, which is a testament to Malaysia’s colonial heritage and contemporary globalization processes. On the other hand, the presence of the Chinese language, not only in Chinatown but in each of the surveyed streets outside the district, is evidence of the still vibrant need to preserve and display this element of Chinese culture in the city’s public spaces. However, considering current regulations and monolingual state policy, the future of the Chinese minority in Malaysia is in question.

Pengaruh Daya Tarik Iklan Dan Electronic Word Of Mouth (E-Wom) Terhadap Minat Pengguna Jasa Transportasi Online Grab: Studi pada Mahasiswa/I Universitas Buana Perjuangan Karawang

The emergence of the Grab service in Indonesia is an example of how the contemporary era and globalization have encouraged innovation and change. The business actively uses internet marketing techniques, with a focus on making advertising and electronic word of mouth more attractive to attract users. This research tries to find the impact of advertising attractiveness on e-Wom as well as the impact of user interest in Grab influenced by advertising and electronic word-of-mouth. SmartPLS 4 analysis is used in a research approach with the student population of Buana Perjuangan University, Karawang. By implementing the Slovin formula in the analysis, a sample of 385 respondents was selected with an error rate of 5%. The findings of this study show that e-Wom is strongly influenced by advertising attractiveness, and users' propensity to purchase Grab services is very positively influenced by e-Wom and advertising attractiveness.

By exposing the hidden assumptions and power structures inherent in neoliberalism, realism, and cosmopolitanism, critical theory critiques the dominant paradigms that shape global politics and economy. It argues for a transformation towards more inclusive, pluralistic, and democratic forms of governance. Through a detailed examination of global institutions like the WTO, UN, and the Paris Agreement, the essay illustrates how these entities reflect and perpetuate global inequalities. Finally, it proposes alternative models that prioritise social and environmental sustainability, citizen participation, and respect for cultural diversity, aiming to inspire transformative change in global governance.

Technical Alienation in Contemporary Global Sculpture

The research was concerned with studying technical alienation in contemporary global sculpture, as alienation is a concept that gained an important place due to its connection with humans and then moved to different fields, including art. Accordingly, the study was built on four chapters. The first chapter included: the research problem that ended with the following question (What are the uses of technical alienation in contemporary global sculpture)? It also included the importance of research and the need for it, as well as the goal of the research and the limits of the research, and then defining the terms mentioned in the title and defining them linguistically, terminologically and procedurally. As for the second chapter: it included two sections: The first section: by studying the concept of alienation in philosophical thought and what its manifestations are. The second section: was concerned with studying the representations of alienation in contemporary global sculpture. The chapter concluded by reviewing the indicators of the theoretical framework to benefit from them in analyzing the research sample. As for the third section: it included the research community. His sample, the research tool. The fourth chapter: included the results of the research, its discussion, and its conclusions. Among the results reached by the researcher are:1. The phenomenon of alienation reflected different states of representation depending on the level of alienation, its time, and its social place that did not belong to its paths. It constituted a realistic (material) representation of the sculptor’s state of separation from the surroundings of his community, embodied in the sculptural treatments of his works.2. The state of alienation for the sculptor was represented by an internal struggle between two active tendencies, the first represented by his desires, while the second was founded on his needs that could not be satisfied, in order to contribute to a creative, sculptural product to bring them out (the state of alienation). Ernest Wilimowski – Polish and German National Team Player with an Unspecified Nationality

Athlete migration is not only an effect of contemporary globalization. Football migration is nothing new and has a long and complex history. Ernest Wilimowski, who was the only football player to represent both Poland and Germany, is a part of that history. Wilimowski was born in 1916 in Katowice, which was then part of the German Reich. In 1922, Katowice and a part of Upper Silesia were annexed to Poland. Wilimowski won the Polish football league four times. In the Polish national team, he scored 21 goals in 22 matches. Despite a complex political situation in Europe, he strived to achieve his sports objectives and his decisions were based on pragmatic motives.

Semiotic Analysis in Film Mat Kilau: A Hero's Awakening

The many forms of communication media technology are advancing at an increasing rate in the contemporary globalization period. Global society has been significantly impacted by this. The mass media's emergence, which allows people to instantaneously communicate and enjoy content, is among the most significant achievements. Film is one of the products of mass media. A lot of movies are produced to impart life lessons, such the heroic and religious ideals of historical heroes, in an effort to instill in the millennial age a growing love for their nation and its religion, whatever form it may take. The selected item for this research was the movie Mat Kilau: Awakening of a Hero. The film's portrayal of the da'wah as well as the definitions of denotation, connotation, and myth present issues. Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis model is employed in this study. The study's findings demonstrate that the movie Mat Kilau conveys the Malay people's values of bravery and hardship in keeping with Islamic teachings. It also incorporates values of preaching through the actors' conversation.

Understanding Digital Turn in Urban Research: A Bibliometric Analysis of Contemporary Global Urban Literature

This paper aims to examine the effects of digital technologies on academic knowledge production in the field of urban research. It provides a comprehensive overview of the evolution of technology-based urban research literature, delineates the knowledge structure, and investigates prevalent trends. The study employs bibliometric analysis to analyze bibliographical and textual data extracted from scientific documents, which allows for the discovery of the existing epistemological structure of the discipline or research domain. The research was conducted by conducting a comprehensive and up-to-date review of the literature available in the Web of Science Core Collection regarding how concepts such as big data, artificial intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT) are discussed in academic papers in the field of urban studies. A total of 2055 academic papers that met the established criteria were identified and analyzed using bibliometric analysis software called Bibliometrix. The results of the research aid in examining the integration of technological advancements into urban research, and reveal the temporal, spatial, and disciplinary distribution of scientific articles, as well as their reflections on new research areas and both frequently studied and yet unexplored topics.

Globalising dementia research: echoes of racialisation and colonialism

This paper offers some provocations regarding the contemporary globalisation of dementia research. I begin with a brief account of the late 20th-century genesis of the dementia research economy in the US and subsequent initiatives to extend that research across the majority world. I then trouble this political movement. I consider racialisation in dementia research as a parallel process to globalisation, with minoritised groups being positioned as new subjects for moral and knowledge claims regarding dementia. I suggest resonances with critiques of the global mental health movement as a technology of coloniality, which I argue are relevant to the current globalisation of dementia research. I contend that majority world populations are being positioned – scientifically and morally – as new research sites and as examples of why Anglo-American approaches to dementia are superior. These parallels require critical gerontologists to ask who is benefiting from the globalisation of dementia.

The impact of globalization on performance musicology: Challenges and opportunities for music education in the 21st Century

Contemporary globalisation has a significant impact on the development of musical art. The aim is to analyse the socio-cultural aspects of performing musicology in the context of globalisation of music education. The implementation of this study involves the use of the following scientific methods. The content analysis and the method of systematization were used. The results of the study demonstrate that contemporary performing music trends in the arts are important components of socio-cultural spaces. They reflect not only the social transformations caused by globalisation of music that are taking place in society, but also have a direct impact on the formation of the artistic trend in general. It is demonstrated that there are bilateral relations that consist in the complex coexistence between music and society. It is also determined that in modern conditions, the main practical task of today's performers is to convey their thoughts and feelings to the audience. The conclusions emphasise that in order to work effectively with modern artistic, educational and musicological environments, future specialists should master various means and methods of performing expression. It is recommended to deepen the use of digital technologies to achieve a new level of performance skills.

Analysing the various eras—Colonial, Post-Independence, Military Interregnum, Structural Adjustment, Return to Democracy, and Contemporary Global Influences—the study underscores the dynamic interactions among government policies, employer strategies, labour union activities, and international forces. It delves into the challenges of political interference, corruption, legal inadequacies, global labour standards, and economic transformations. The study emphasises the importance of resilience, adaptability, and collaborative dialogue in navigating the complexities of industrial relations towards ensuring labour equity and economic progress in Nigeria's continuously evolving socio-economic.

Drawing from nation-branding as a recent development in contemporary globalization, and new middle power theory that examines hierarchies of nations, we used thematic textual analysis to examine business press coverage of the IBSA (India, Brazil, South Africa) consortium for business news representations and the positioning of IBSA nations in the global arena. Analysis of coverage in India’s The Financial Express, Brazil’s Valor Econômico and South Africa’s Business Day revealed that regional economic leadership, strengths in trade and technology, development aid and the consortium’s collective engagement in global activism inform the business press’ positioning of the IBSA countries as new middle powers.

Study on Factors Influencing University Students' Awareness of Intangible Cultural Heritage Transmission

In the context of contemporary globalization, the preservation and safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage has assumed heightened significance. Serving as a pivotal cultural asset, intangible cultural heritage plays an essential role in upholding cultural diversity and fostering societal progress. This study combines micro and macro-level management practices, student engagement theory, and cultural-historical activity theory to conduct quantitative research on 500 art and design students from 16 universities in Shaanxi Province, China. The primary research findings reveal a positive correlation between students' sense of responsibility and cultural heritage awareness, indicating deepening responsibility with heightened awareness. However, general knowledge and student-teacher interactions, though positively correlated, lack statistical significance. The study underscores the crucial role of institutional support and pragmatic education in enhancing students' intangible cultural heritage transmission awareness. Practical, hands-on learning experiences and strong institutional backing drive a deeper understanding and appreciation of cultural heritage among students. These insights have implications for educational policy and curriculum design, emphasizing the need for a multi-faceted approach to intangible cultural heritage education that incorporates both theoretical knowledge and practical experiences, and underscores the importance of institutional support in this endeavor.

Polyethylene terephthalate waste derived nanomaterials (WDNMs) and its utilization in electrochemical devices

Plastics are a vital component of our daily lives in the contemporary globalization period; they are present in all facets of modern life. Because the bulk of synthetic plastics utilized in the market are non-biodegradable by nature, the issues associated with their contamination are unavoidable in an era dominated by polymers. Polyethylene terephthalate (PET), which is extensively used in industries such as automotive, packaging, textile, food, and beverages production represents a major share of these non-biodegradable polymer productions. Given its extensive application across various sectors, PET usage results in a considerable amount of post-consumer waste, majority of which require disposal after a certain period. However, the recycling of polymeric waste materials has emerged as a prominent topic in research, driven by growing environmental consciousness. Numerous studies indicate that products derived from polymeric waste can be converted into a new polymeric resource in diverse sectors, including organic coatings and regenerative medicine. This review aims to consolidate significant scientific literatures on the recycling PET waste for electrochemical device applications. It also highlights the current challenges in scaling up these processes for industrial application.

Since the dawn of contemporary globalisation in the early 1990s, several path breaking advances have emerged. These advances have also impacted the ways works are coordinated in the workplace. The Impact of China’s FDI in Renewable Energy on Pakistan’s Economy

Foreign direct investment (FDI), as a primary form of contemporary capital globalization, contributes substantially to a nation’s economic growth. Specifically, in China’s FDI initiative in Pakistan, channeling FDI towards renewable energy projects can alleviate Pakistan’s energy deficit and generate extensive economic advantages for the country. This paper examines the effects of FDI in renewable energy on Pakistan, analyzing the country’s location advantage and renewable energy potential, evaluating changes in GDP resulting from China’s investment in renewable energy projects in Pakistan, and identifying economic benefits of FDI. Additionally, this paper summarizes notable renewable energy projects and their development after inflow of FDI from China. The research provides in-depth information on the fundamental components of the projects. Additionally, the paper examines the effects of FDI in renewable energy on Pakistan’s immediate and long-term economic development. The results provide insights on suitable countries for receiving FDI and the impacts both inflow and outflow nations.
