Research on Construction Organization Design and Engineering Cost Application Based on BIM Technology

The development of the construction industry promotes the development of BIM technology, which in turn promotes the development of the construction industry. This paper first analyzes the status quo of BIM technology, construction organization design and engineering cost, and then analyzes the construction organization design and engineering cost application based on BIM technology. This paper takes a residential building as an example for detail, uses BIM technology to carry out modeling and measurement, construction schedule plan, site layout and project cost, and conducts the rationality analysis of the quantity and the rationality of the cost. The results show that the development of BIM technology greatly facilitates the construction organization design and engineering cost of construction projects.

All-Round Control of High-Rise Buildings by Construction Organization Design Based on Distributed Control System

The construction of high-rise buildings usually involves many problems. With the increasing population and demand for tall buildings, researchers have also proposed different design approaches for various aspects of tall buildings. The design of traditional construction organization is difficult to cover all systems of high-rise buildings comprehensively and efficiently. Among the high-rise buildings involved, the first important is safety, followed by energy conservation. The high floor and complex structure of high-rise buildings bring hidden dangers to safety, and the large volume brings a burden to energy conservation. In this paper, in order to solve the problems that the system is difficult to fully cover in high-rise buildings and the design of consumables and energy materials, the method of distributed system is adopted. The main aspects of high-rise buildings are studied in an all-round way, and a distributed system model is first constructed in this paper. Then, the lighting, air conditioning, and fire protection systems of high-rise buildings are correspondingly formed under this system. Through the simulation experiment of the B4 building in the business district, it is concluded that the average luminous flux of lighting under the distributed system of this paper is 11385 lm, saving more than 60% of energy. The error of the air-conditioning system is less than 0.2°C, and the energy consumption is saved by 10%. The fire detection window length of the fire protection system exceeds 0.15, which can detect the fire sensitively. In addition, the evacuation pressure of personnel is reduced by more than 20% in emergency situations. The results show that the system establishment of high-rise buildings under the distributed method in this paper can effectively improve the efficiency, save energy consumption, and reduce the pressure of resource utilization. The design of this paper unifies the overall and local control objectives, which can fully meet the needs of comfort and convenience.

This article determines the bridge jacking plan and proposes a construction organization design without interruption of traffic, based on the research of bearing disease and cause analysis, bearing technical condition evaluation, jacking plan, traffic control, safety technical plan, quality acceptance and other related technologies. According to the evaluation result of the bearing technical condition, an implementation plan for replacing the support without interruption is established, whose rationality and necessity are verified by the support project.

Barriers to the development of prefabricated buildings in China: a news coverage analysis

PurposeThe Chinese construction industry is experiencing a rapid growth these days. Due to the requirements of energy conservation, emission reduction and construction waste management, the development of prefabricated buildings (PBs) has attracted much attention in the Chinese construction industry. However, the development of PBs are still in their infancy in China, which have been negatively impacted by many obstacles. It is of great significance to clarify and analyze these obstacles for the purpose of promoting the development of PBs in China. Due to the wideness and complex features of obstacles, the existing literature exploring the research topic lacks comprehensiveness. The purpose of this paper is to systematically identify and discuss the obstacles that hinder the development of PBs in China.Design/methodology/approachThis paper adopts the method of news report analysis based on the news reports retrieved from China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and nine major portals in China. The Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) method of content analysis was used to rank the obstacles according to their importance.FindingsA total of 79 obstacles to the development of PBs in China are identified, and the 79 obstacles are divided into 8 dimensions. Among the Top 20 obstacles, the government dimension accounted for the highest number of 5, the market and consumer dimension and development organization dimension were 4, Manufacturing Enterprise of Prefabricated Components (PCs) dimension, construction organization dimension and design organization dimension were 2, logistics enterprise dimension was 1, and industry association dimension was 0. Among them, the biggest obstacle is the high transportation costs.Research limitations/implicationsFirst, data collection may not be very comprehensive. Second, this paper is only based on the obstacles in the development of PBs in China, and the universality of the management conclusions needs to be further strengthened.Practical implicationsThe research results help the stakeholders in the Chinese PBs industry to better understand the barriers hindering the industry development in a systemic way, which will help propose appropriate strategies to address these barriers.Originality/valueThis paper clarifies the obstacles of China's PBs and makes an analysis, which is of great value to the development of China's PBs.

Some Thoughts on the Application of Three-dimensional Technology in the Construction of Transmission and Transformation Engineering

This paper puts forward some thoughts on the fine management of power transmission and transformation engineering construction with the help of three-dimensional technology, and discusses the installation, quality acceptance and construction organization deepening application of steel components in power transmission and transformation engineering construction.The physical 3D model is established by scanning technology, and the accuracy of machining components is checked by comparing the design model with the physical model. The construction process is simulated by the three-dimensional engineering management platform, and the problems existing in the actual construction are found, and the optimization of the construction organization design is carried out through the platform.

Study on the Model Test of Yuliang Hydro-junction Closure Construction

After studying and observing the hydraulic characteristics under different closure gap widths, the changes of various hydraulic factors, the rationality of the embankment zoning and dumped particle size, by simulating the whole closure process of the Yuliang Hydro-junction Project, a 1:100 overall hydraulic model test is adopted in this paper to put forward the scheme which is beneficial to the project closure, and provide scientific basis for construction organization design.

INFORMATION MODELING OF ORGANIZATION OF BRIDGES’ CONSTRUCTION UNDER STOCHASTIC UNCERTAINTY OF TIME PARAMETERS

Introduction.Inadequate study of the organization of construction in the project documentation is one of the factors that contravene the planned dates for putting objects into operation. Probabilistic graphs make it possible to obtain more justified timeframes for performing individual works, and even the entire project by proceeding a given level of reliability.Methods.The research illustrates the process of building bridges as a complex hierarchical system, functioning in conditions of the initial data stochastic uncertainty. The feature of the proposed integrated approach to the construction organization design is the combination of different methods’ elements of computer-aided design in the MS Project environment. The simulation is based on the generalized network model, calculated on the basis of the matrix (type of work - private work front) by the critical path method. Thus, positive and negative bonds’ stretching in the work interaction as well as organizational breaks could be deterministic, random and probabilistic. The application of the PERT methodology at the stage of preliminary risk assessment in investment projects of bridge construction is substantiated.Results.As a result, the duration of the construction of the real object by calculation in the MS Project was determined under pessimistic, optimistic, normative and expected work duration. The risks’ evaluation of the project implementation in the established time frame was presented. In addition, the example of organizational and technological solutions for bridge crossing by using summer and winter construction seasons was considered.Discussion and conclusions.The algorithm for informational modeling of bridge construction organization is developed. The purpose of such simulation is reliable forecast of construction dates in conditions of statistical uncertainty of time parameters of technological processes. Therefore, the direction of further research would be connected with the justification of the choice of solutions based on the set of acting random factors.

Three objections, quality, cost and schedule, are mutually restrictive. How to shorten the construction period and reduce construction cost under the premise of guaranteeing quality is key to construction organization design. The flow construction integrated these three objectives by proper planning, and it has become an important means of preparing the schedule of a project time limited. This paper taking the first training building in Huaiyin Medical School, analyzed the key points of shortening the construction period. In the end, we discussed how to apply the theory of flow construction to prepare the schedule of a time-limited unit project.

Evaluation of Various Temperature Control Schemes for Crack Prevention in RCC Arch Dams During Construction

Temperature stress is one of the main reasons causing the cracking of high roller compacted concrete (RCC) arch dams during rapid construction. For the construction organization design and implementation of RCC dams, it is an important point to establish the scheme for temperature control and crack prevention, and evaluate its effect. The technology of concrete mixed with MgO is a new developing way for crack prevention of RCC dams. The expansion of MgO can compensate effectively for the tensile stress generated in the cooling period of RCC. To improve the effect of crack prevention for high RCC arch dams, the aforementioned technology needs to be combined with the conventional methods. FEM is used to implement the temperature stress calculation for high RCC arch dams mixed with MgO. The basic principle and process of simulation algorithm are introduced first. According to the actual characteristics of a high RCC arch dam, the following three schemes for temperature control and crack prevention are given. They are “no MgO and no joint”, “mixed with MgO and no joint”, “mixed with MgO and two induced joints”, respectively. The corresponding FEM models are established to calculate the equivalent temperature field and temperature stress of the RCC arch dam mixed with MgO or not. The calculated results under above three schemes are used to appraise the effect controlling the temperature stress by mixing MgO. The positive impact of the combined scheme is analyzed. Some valuable conclusions for the design and construction of actual dams are obtained.
