This paper devises strategies for a professional tennis player wishing to maximize earnings. First a computer program is developed, which predicts the probability of a player reaching successive rounds in a particular tournament, and also his expected earnings. This output provides the input variables to an integer programming problem. The optimal tournament set is selected by maximizing the player's expected earnings, subject to, constraints on the maximum number of tournaments to be played, the conflicting tournaments in a given week, and the travel constraints on concurrent tours composed of various tournaments.
