Tourism attraction and CBT of agro tourism in Cafe Sawah Pujon Kidul

This study aims to reveal the tourist attractiveness and application of community based tourism (CBT) in the agro-tourism of Café Sawah Pujon. The research method used is qualitative with ethnographic techniques. Researchers experienced and interacted directly at Café Sawah Pujon Kidul. The results showed that the tourist attraction presented by Café Sawah Pujon Kidul Malang is a natural tourism that uses agricultural land as a tourist attraction. This tourist attraction uses a CBT application model in developing agro-tourism. The village community plays an important role in the management and development of this agro-tourism. The manager welcomes tourists friendly, the use of uniforms, the use of digital ticket confirmation, and the role of tourists in managing the agro-tourism offered. The accessibility of this agro-tourism is easy to pass, has good roads, and clear directions, the manager of the tourist attraction is also on guard to take tourists to tourist sites. The CBT concept that is applied to tourism development is managed entirely by utilizing the community in the Pujon Kidul rice fields. People can also do entrepreneurship by selling souvenirs, such as souvenirs, clothing, plantation products (chilies, mustard greens, broccoli, and other vegetables), as well as parking management.

The Role of the Community in Building a Tourist Village

The solutions of development with a bottom-up pattern can make villagers as the main pillars of regional development. The main key is to educate and make people aware as the main subject of development. This changes from the old paradigm of development which only places the community as an object. The presence of the Community Based Tourism concept is the right concept to use in accelerating regional development on a micro scale. Especially in the Tourism Village of Korong Wonorejo, Sangir District, South Solok Regency. The research problems encountered were the reduced number of volunteer tourism cadres, limited knowledge and skills, lack of ability to make proposals, low awareness of uniqueness, lack of hospitality, lack of infrastructure, and lack of publications and promotions. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach with a case study design. The results of the study indicate that the efforts made by the youth in developing a tourist village in their area are as follows: (1) training in the management of tourist villages; (2) training on organizing tourist villages; (3) hospitality training; (4) recruitment and cadre training; (5) outreach to the community about development participation; and (6) workshops with government elements.

Community-based tourism: concepts, opportunities and challenges

Purpose: The community-based tourism concept needs to be understood deeply. We need to know and predict the opportunities and challenges that exist and will occur in the future in developing the community and tourism as a mutualism. Issues with Applying the Concept of Community-Based Tourism in the Caucasus

In Armenia and Georgia, tourism has become part of the development strategies that aim to revitalize those mountain areas experiencing a rural exodus and anemic economic structures. Association agreements between the European Union (EU) and Georgia (2014) and the EU and Armenia (2018) promote community-based tourism (CBT), emphasizing the importance of facilitating cooperation between stakeholders and inclusion of local communities. This study describes the current application of CBT in Georgia and Armenia to elucidate the understanding and perception of the concept by different stakeholders and to provide recommendations for the development of comprehensive CBT practices in the South Caucasus. We used qualitative methods within our research. Our overall analysis includes policy documents and semistructured interviews with tourism and rural development authorities, civil society organizations, and entrepreneurs. Our key findings reveal the various factors that influence the sustainable development of CBT projects, especially in mountainous areas. We recommend integrating tourism and community development practices, elaborating specific guidelines for CBT projects, and filling the knowledge gap of community development facilitators regarding tourism practices. We also suggest focusing more on diversifying community-based products to expand cooperation among service providers.

STRATEGI PROMOSI WISATA PURBALINGGA MELALUI FESTIVAL FILM

This study aims to find out the efforts to promotion strategy Purbalingga cultural tourism by the Purbalingga CLC community through the Purbalingga Film Festival (FFP). This study used descriptive qualitative method. The research data source is the Purbalingga CLC community. Data was collected using observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and literature studies. The results showed that FFP activities carried out by the CLC community could help Purbalingga tourism promotion efforts. Local tourism development can be developed with the concept of Community Based Tourism (CBT) is Promotion strategy. In the CBT concept, the presence of the community becomes important as a secondary stakeholder. Together with the government and private parties, community participation can provide valuable input for the advancement of regional tourism that is prospering for the entire community. The Purbalingga CLC through its flagship program, the Purbalingga Film Festival, has shown that the existence of film festivals has a relationship, both directly and indirectly, with the opportunity to promote local culture.

The implementation of community based tourism model in the development of the Semambu Island tourism village, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra

This article examines the implementation of CBT model in the development of the Semambu Island Tourism Village. This research uses qualitative research with descriptive research type. Sampling is done by purposive sampling technique, and collecting data is done by in-depth interviews. This study aims to describe the application of CBT (Community Based Tourism) in the management of Semambu Island Tourism Village, the role of various stakeholders, and development in the management and development of Semambu Island Tourism Village in North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. The results showed the concept of CBT applied to achieve tourism planning in this place was applied in the form of local community participation, the establishment of a tourism protection village, management of tourist attraction with an environmental perspective and the creation of community business activities. Management of tourist attractions in the Semambu Island Village emerged from the discovery of local communities. With several considerations concerning the development of Semambu Island Tourism Village, it still needs funding assistance from the local government, providing facilities and infrastructure as a tourist attraction, increasing the number of tourists, and the still limited ideas to add complementary businesses and Semambu Island Tourism Village.

Challenges of community-based tourism in Botswana: a review of literature

This paper provides a review of literature and synthesis of community-based tourism in Botswana by examining the issues associated with its conception, design and implementation. The paper is principally guided by the concept of sustainable tourism development. Results indicate that the concept of community-based tourism in Botswana can be traced to the commencement of Community-Based Natural Resource Management (CBNRM), which has its successes and challenges. The paper’s findings show the following challenges: community definition problems; multi-stakeholder participation, diversity and heterogeneity; deficiency in business acumen; lack of income distribution plans and reinvestment priorities and passive community participation. In view of the above, the future might be more challenging for the realisation of sustainable community-based tourism (CBT). The paper concludes with recommendations that may assist in improving the organisation, structure and implementation of community-based tourism in Botswana to ensure sustainability in community-based tourism development.

Tourism social entrepreneurship in community-based tourism: A case study of Pentingsari tourism village

Tourism is one of the biggest sources of income in Indonesia. Therefore tourism should be developed at the community level to ensure this flow of money reaches local communities. There are many approaches to tourism, such as community-based tourism, which applies different concepts based on local community characteristics. Tourism social entrepreneurship is a concept of community-based tourism that aims at sustainable community development. Pentingsari Tourism Village is well-known in the Special Region of Yogyakarta as one of the most successful community-based tourism villages. This research aims to describe the application of the Tourism Social Entrepreneurship concept in Pentingsari Tourism Village. The study uses a qualitative case study approach that follows a single holistic model which is generally used to thoroughly explain events. The research shows that Pentingsari Tourism Village uses its human, natural, social, and cultural community capitals to develop its tourism activities. Using these community capitals, the tourism village develops creative tourism solutions to achieve sustainable community-based tourism. Pentingsari Tourism Village can serve as a best practice around the world because itwas able to implement sustainable community development through tourism.

PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT DALAM TATA KELOLA PARIWISATA DI KAMPUNG WISATA DEWO BRONTO YOGYAKARTA

This study aims to describe and analyze community empowerment activities in the Dewo Bronto Tourism Village in Yogyakarta through the concept of Community-Based Tourism. This study uses qualitative research that describes community empowerment through the concept of Community Based Tourism objectively based on data findings in the field. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Community empowerment in the field of tourism in the tourism village is carried out through various fields such as culinary business, the production of natural dyes of batik, batik training, transportation, arts and cultural attractions. This effort can support the development of tourism in the Dewo Bronto Tourism Village. However, community empowerment needs to be supported by the ability of the community to create a brand for a tourist village so that the Tourism Village is better known by tourists. In the future, it is necessary to do research on millennial communities who are familiar with the digital world so that they can promote the Village Tourism digitally. The Implementation Of The Community Based Tourism Concept In Cultural Heritage Management As A Tourist Attraction In Batuan Village Temple Gianyar Bali

<p>Community-based tourism is the concept of tourism development by prioritizing the active participation of the community with the aim of providing welfare for them while maintaining environmental quality, and protecting their social and cultural life. One of the legacies of Bali's cultural heritage which is also used as a tourist attraction is Batuan Village Temple which is located in Batuan Village, Sukawati District, Gianyar Regency, Bali. This study examines three problems, namely: (1) How is the application of the concept of <em>community-based tourism</em> in managing cultural heritage as a tourist attraction in Batuan Temple?; (2) What factors support the application of the concept of community based tourism in the management of cultural heritage as a tourist attraction in Batuan Village Temple?; and (3) What is the model of <em>community based tourism</em> in cultural heritage management as a tourist attraction in Batuan Village Temple?. This research is a qualitative research method of collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. Informants in this study were selected by <em>purposive sampling</em> method. Data analysis was carried out descriptively, qualitatively, and interpretatively. </p><p>The results showed that the management of cultural heritage of Batuan Village Temple as a tourist attraction has applied the four principles of <em>community based tourism</em>, those are; the principle of community participation; principles of nature conservation; the principle of the local economy; and socio-cultural conservation principles. The factors that support the application of the concept of <em>community based tourism</em> in Batuan Village include: tourism potential owned by Batuan Village, the aspirations of the villagers of Batuan Village, the synergy among tourism stakeholders in Batuan Village, the support of the Gianyar Regency Government, and social capital owned by villagers of Batuan Village. The management model of Batuan Temple as a pure tourist attraction is managed by the villagers of Batuan Village by applying the principles of community-based tourism in order to achieve common expectations, namely the welfare of the residents of Batuan Village and to realize the sustainable tourism development.</p><p> </p><p> </p>

Development of Community-Based Tourism in Pinusan Kragilan, Pogalan Village, Magelang Regency, Central Java, Indonesia

The purpose of this study is to describe community involvement in the development of Kragilan Top Selfie Pinusan tourist destinations (TSPK) and explain the role of Tourism Awareness Groups (Pokdarwis) in developing TSPK tourist destinations. This study uses the concept of Community-Based Tourism (CBT) as an analytical framework. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews with parties related to TSPK tourist destinations. The results of the study indicate that community participation in the process of developing the TSPK was encouraged by the local community namely Pokdarwis (tourism-aware group). Pokdarwis, in this case, plays a role in the division of labor; financial management; and managing cleanliness. Pokdarwis conducts division of labor to encourage community participation. The forms of community participation in TSPK include workforce and the contribution of ideas in developing TSPK. Next, the existence of TSPK also empowers the economy of the people in Kragilan Hamlet. Pokdarwis also empowers the community to manage the environment around the destination. Then TSPK shows that the CBT model that is different from CBT in general, in TSPK empowerment is carried out independently by Pokdarwis. Only after Pokdarwis initiated this empowerment and brought economic benefits, the government (Gunung Merbabu National Park Office) took part in helping TSPK management. PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT MELALUI PENGEMBANGAN DESA WISATA DENGAN KONSEP CBT (COMMUNITY BASED TOURISM) DI DESA LABUAN PANDAN

Tourism is one of the promising business sectors, if local people can see well the potential available around their neighborhood. With the position of the country of Indonesia which is located on the equator which causes diverse types of flora and fauna, as well as the archipelago's topography providing a stretch of both coastal and cultural diversity available, it is no wonder that tourism opportunities are still wide open to be developed. Labuan Pandan Village is a coastal village with 2 (two) dykes in the east, so that it becomes a magnet for tourists who want to see first hand the beauty of coral reefs and mangrove ecosystems. Tourism stretching has begun to be seen in the activity of tourism activists who joined a community called KOMPAK (Labuan Pandan Kreatif Youth Community). The concept of CBT (Community Based Tourism) has been started by the KOMPAK community since 2017 and of course since then the people in Labuan Pandan Village are involved in the tour activities. This study aims (1) To examine the process of empowering local communities with the concept of CBT (Community Based Tourism), (2) Constraints faced by the community in conducting tourism activities with the concept of CBT (Community Based Tourism) in Labuan Pandan Village. This research method uses descriptive method with a qualitative approach; the data used are primary and secondary. Primary data obtained from interviews and observations. The results showed that: (1) Community empowerment activities through village tourism with the concept of CBT (Community Based Tourism) went very well. This is indicated by the high level of community participation in existing tourism activities. This includes preparing accommodation, culinary, cultural arts performances and participating in educational learning activities (Educational Tourism), (2) Constraints faced by the community, that is, they have not mastered fluent foreign languages, so that they are quite inhibiting information disclosure.

Peran Komunitas Red Batik Dalam Mendukung Kota Solo Sebagai Kota Kreatif


 
 
 Solo City has so many communities with different aspects of value from one another. The Red Batik community is chosen based on its credibility and is one of the most productive communities in Solo City. This study aims to determine the establishment of the Red Batik Community, as well as identify and explain the role of the Red Batik Community in supporting the City of Solo as a Creative City.
 The research methodology used in this study is research with in-depth interview techniques, observation, literature study and documentation. In addition to using the concept of community-based tourism, role concepts and creative city concepts to review existing problems.
 The Red Batik community becomes a space for informal education by providing a forum for people who want to get involved or engage in industry and creative activities, especially costumes and carnivals, preserve traditional markets that are characteristic of Solo City, and hold interesting shows for tourists. As a city full of cultural values, Solo City is an attractive place for tourists to visit.

Community arts as an inclusive methodology for sustainable tourism development

PurposeCommunity arts practice gives voice to a younger generation, who must be studied as part of the development process from commencement, to accomplish building sustainable destination development in the direction of future prosperity for the rural community.Design/methodology/approachThis paper challenges a relatively weak critical practice of the community-based tourism (CBT) by introducing community arts methodologies as a research approach in the context of tourism, the opportunity is created to give voice to a younger generation that must also be included in the development aims of the CBT to achieve sustainable community tourism development.FindingsThe CBT aims to support access to quality participation in the development process. However, investment in education and building tourism entrepreneurs is not inclusive of the future generations beyond the original generation. Consideration of the desires and imaginations of the future generations must be part of the CBT project for tourism development sustainability. Building awareness of the fragility and value of tourist attractions and resources, in a younger generation that never experienced the original attractions of the traditional village, is critical to achieving the objectives of the CBT.Research limitations/implicationsThe paper is not yet attempting to examine the empirical data of this research. Rather, it challenges current CBT research processes as having a narrow reach into a community.Practical implicationsTourism developers and local communities should include an understanding of what directions and what opportunities the next and future generations will have to continue sustainable development. Including children’s imaginations into a community’s tourism development plans will benefit awareness of the present context and assist locals in forecasting the next stage of village development. The present tourism planners would then have a holistic vision for a design strategy sustaining rural livelihoods that acknowledge the limits of nature-based resources and cultural resources.Social implicationsCommunity arts research offers the possibility of inclusive participation of community members. Arts methodology attempts to articulate ideas in visual form, for the aim of discussion, reflection and realization of the desires and concerns of the community in terms of lifestyle, environment and cultural heritage, in preparation for the future generation taking control of tourism development. The process aims to impact future decisions effecting the course of tourism development in rural Thailand.Originality/valueThe paper discusses the potential contribution of community arts practice as a complementary tool by taking into account different aspects of sustainable tourism into CBT concept. The paper evaluates what has been missing in advancing our understanding of sustainable rural tourism development in Thailand. It fills the gaps with a methodological approach that gives voice to the local community. The purpose of this paper is to rethinking the ideology and approach of CBT to be inclusive of all demographics of society for the goal of achieving sustainable tourism and sustainable community development in Thailand context.

Rural Tourism in Georgia in Transition: Challenges for Regional Sustainability

Tourism in rural regions of Georgia has a long tradition; however, many structures had been developed during Soviet times under the framework of a centrally planned economy and forced collectivism. Today, Rural Tourism is widely discussed by the national government and international cooperation partners as a means for regional development and as an alternative source of employment in agricultural areas and mountain regions. The purpose of this study is to develop suggestions for the institutionalization of Rural Tourism in the country and to propose relevant actions. Research methods comprised a document analysis, qualitative interviews with various stakeholders, and focus group discussions. We analyzed recent tendencies and challenges of rural tourism development in Georgia with a focus on the concept of community-based tourism and integrated rural development. We also review the challenges of the current structure of tourism marketing on the national level with regard to Rural Tourism products. The key findings of the research include recommendations to create a central leading structure for rural tourism at the national level, which will work on strategic issues and general norms of Rural Tourism. At the same time, we propose the development of destination management organizations, which will integrate general provisions in regional legislation and marketing in close cooperation with local stakeholders.

Kontribusi Atraksi Wisata Arung Jeram Terhadap Masyarakat Lokal Di Desa Pekraman Kedewatan Kecamatan Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar

The existence of a tourist attraction required improving the welfare of the surrounding community. This study aims to find out how many contributions of rafting tourist attraction in society Kedewatan village, in order to contribute positively to the welfare of local communities. Therefore, this research is expected to provide benefits to related parties.
 This researchused of primary data and secondary data sources, while the type of data used quantitative and qualitative data. Data were collected through observation, interview and literature study. Determination of informants in this research usedpurposive sampling technique. The data analysis used is qualitative data analysis techniques and restricted by contribution concept, the concept of community participation, and the concept of community-based tourism.
 The results obtained are the company's contribution to Kedewatan society been running smoothly, which contributes to the Kedewatan village in the form of donations which pay each month, contributing directly to the public in the form of add job vacanciesfor local people, contributing indirectly to the local communities that helping local community businesses. To optimizie job vacanciesfor local communities,it is necessary to co-operation between companies and Kedewatan communities in recruitment labor.

Penerapan konsep community based tourism (CBT) di desa wisata candirejo borobudur mewujudkan kemandirian desa

This study aims to examine about the impact of application of the concept of Community Based Tourism (CBT) in realizing the independence of Candirejo village. The research method used is qualitative method. The results of this study are Candirejo Village Management Manager is a Cooperative whose entrepreneurs are the original community of Candirejo Village, The impact of CBT concept implementation can be seen through economic aspects (job diversification, improvement of housing condition and new business development), social (social interaction, community participation, change of mindset), cultural adoption, and environment (improvement of public facilities). With the fulfillment of Indicator Independence of the village is not entirely Candirejo village can be released of the government aid funds, but at least in the fulfillment of basic needs, community activities, construction of public facilities, and economic activities available can be fulfilled independently
