Correlation Research between Asymmetry Coefficient of Gondola Car Body and Stress Distribution of Cross Bearer Weld

In order to find out the root cause of cross bearer welds’ cracks in general-purpose gondola cars, the relationship between asymmetric structure and stress distribution is studied in this paper. Firstly, the concept of asymmetry coefficient and stress distribution cluster is proposed, and the asymmetric coefficients’ calculation methods of independent and dependent variables are given, respectively, in two-dimensional space. Secondly, according to the different positions of side column 1 and side column 2, 30 local models are established, the cross bearer weld stresses are extracted after finite element simulation, and the stress distribution clusters of cross bearer weld stresses are formed. Finally, the asymmetry coefficients of the side columns are calculated, and the correlation between the positions of the side columns and the weld stresses is studied using the methods of Pearson correlation coefficient and complex correlation coefficient. The results show that the correlation between the stress of cross bearer weld 2 and the positions of the side columns is much higher than that between the stress of cross bearer weld 1 and the positions of the side columns. Meanwhile, it shows that the method presented in this paper is feasible and effective for the analysis and research of asymmetric structures. These combined with the calculation method of the correlation coefficient.

Названия неба в монгольских языках: этимология и семантика

Introduction. The articles examines etymologies and semantics of Mongolic words denoting the sky. The system of astronomical terms in Mongolic languages is structurally complicated due to multiple layers of pre-Buddhist, Buddhist and other beliefs adopted by proto-Mongols. Goals. The work aims to identify etymological and semantic dominants characterizing this thematic group within the common Mongolic vocabulary. The concept of sky clusters with most basic ones, and lexemes to denote it are to be found in each and every language. Materials and methods. The study examines dictionaries of Mongolic languages, involves reliable proto-Mongolian lexical reconstructions by H. Nugteren and O. Mudrak. Furthermore, the paper analyzes various etymological works and Altaic dictionaries, as well as databases on semantic transitions and colexifications. Results. The Mongolic vocabularies contain four lexemes denoting the sky and two for air/airspace — all of them being largely associated with different beliefs and faiths across different areas and in different eras. So, the word *teŋgeri attests to some elements of the cult of heaven had been practiced by earliest Mongols and the latter had maintained contacts with Turkic groups. The second lexeme *hogtorgui is a Buddhist scholarly term semantically derived from the one denoting emptiness, i.e. a suggested semantic calque from the Sanskrit word that was borrowed to northern Mongolic languages from translated texts of the Buddhist Canon. The third name *köke is a hapax from the Muqaddimat al-Adab that may have arrived in western Middle Mongolian from Chagatai Turkic. The fourth word *asman is a later borrowing from Persian to vocabularies of Muslim Mongols, sometimes via Turkic languages. The fifth lexical unit *agaɣar may have been included from Buddhist Sanskrit, and the sixth word *kei — from Middle Chinese. The unexpected conclusion is that the original proto-Mongolian word to have denoted the sky simply cannot be reconstructed. Evidently, the ancient word had been displaced by the loanwords throughout most intensive cultural contacts.

Cluster approach in the film industry

The article consider the concepts of cluster and cultural cluster. The specifics of the cluster approach in film production are studied. The basic principles according to which film clusters exist are highlighted. The relationship between the state, companies that are directly involved in production, and companies that have direct and indirect influence at all stages of the creation of an audiovisual product. The work of regional film commissions, which are a guide between the state and film producers within the fixed territory, is considered. The models of regional cinema development in Russia are analysed. The analysis of the prerequisites for the creation of film clusters in the Russian regions is carried out. The key current problems in the regional cinema are identified. The main steps that regions need to take when developing a strategy for the comprehensive long-term development of regional film production are presented.

A longitudinal study on knowledge organization publications: using hierarchical clustering and multidimensional scaling

PurposeThe purpose of this study was a longitudinal study on knowledge organization (KO) realm structure and cluster concepts and emerging KO events based on co-occurrence analysis.Design/methodology/approachThis longitudinal study uses the co-occurrence analysis. This research population includes keywords of articles indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection 1975–1999 and 2000–2018. Hierarchical clustering, multidimensional scaling and co-occurrence analysis were used to conduct the present research. SPSS, UCINET, VOSviewer and NetDraw were used to analyze and visualize data.FindingsThe “Information Technology” in 1975–1999 and the “Information Literacy” in 2000–2018, with the highest frequency, were identified as the most widely used keywords of KO in the world. In the first period, the cluster “Knowledge Management” had the highest centrality, the cluster “Strategic Planning” had the highest density in 2000–2018 and the cluster “Information Retrieval” had the highest centrality and density. The two-dimensional map of KO’s thematic and clustering of KO topics by cluster analysis method indicates that in the periods examined in this study, thematic clusters had much overlap in terms of concept and content.Originality/valueThe present article uses a longitudinal study to examine the KO’s publications in the past half-century. This paper also uses hierarchical clustering and multidimensional scaling methods. Studying the concepts and thematic trends in KO can impact organizing information as the core of libraries, museums and archives. Also, it can scheme information organizing and promote knowledge management. Because the results obtained from this article can help KO policymakers determine and design the roadmap, research planning, and micro and macro budgeting processes.

PERCEIVED THREATS AND DIFFICULTIES OF MOTHERS OF YOUNG CHILDREN AFTER 9 MONTHS IN A COVID-19 PANDEMIC

The current coronavirus pandemic poses challenges to psychological well-being. Children and mothers of young children are especially vulnerable. The present qualitative study further extends and deepens the understanding of psychological response to COVID-19 pandemic of mothers of young children and their children (0-4 years of age). The aim of the present study is to outline perceived threats and difficulties 9 months after the COVID-19 outbreak in Bulgaria in a period of high infection rate and childcare closures. Using conceptual cluster analysis, the free text answers of 77 mothers were grouped into clusters and subclusters.  Mothers of young children continue to report a wide range of perceived threats and difficulties later on in the pandemic. The most frequently perceived threats were the lockdown and social isolation of the child, the coronavirus disease itself, and the capacity of the health system. Almost half of the respondents did not perceive any difficulties. Among the other respondents the most frequently reported difficulties were the lack of social contacts, the fact that the child does not go out, childcare closures and boredom. Dynamics of experiences of the pandemic over time were examined by comparing the present results with ones from a previous study (Paunova-Markova, 2020) conducted during the first month of COVID-19 outbreak and lockdown in Bulgaria.

On the comparability of prosodic categories: why ‘stress’ is difficult

Abstract This article argues that the prosodic category stress in West Germanic languages, which implicitly underlies practically all work on stress, is a complex cluster concept consisting of at least six dimensions which in turn involve a number of subdimensions. Because of its complexity, this concept is not useful for cross-linguistic comparison. A promising starting point for further typological inquiry is one of the six dimensions, i.e. acoustic and auditory prominence. However, identifying acoustic and auditory prominence distinctions cross-linguistically is also not straightforward and requires considerable empirical effort. Nevertheless, cross-linguistic comparison is still possible in the case of ‘difficult’ cluster concepts such as stress and does not require the use of arbitrary comparative concepts.

Predictors of UK postgraduate researcher attendance behaviours and mental health-related attrition intention.

High rates of postgraduate researchers (PGRs) terminate their studies early. This attrition can have detrimental personal consequences, and results in a loss of productivity, and research and innovation for the higher education sector and society as a whole. PGRs are vulnerable to the experience of mental health problems; a factor that appears to be increasing attrition amongst students in the UK. However, investigation of the determinants of problems with PGRs' attendance and influencing intention to discontinue their studies is rare. Here, we consider the relative predictive validity of a set of putative predictors (mental health symptoms, demographic, occupational, psychological, social, and relational) of attendance behaviours (absenteeism, presenteeism, mental health-related intermission) and early attrition intention amongst UK PGRs. Depression, anxiety, and suicidality predicted attendance behaviours and greater attrition intention. Individual demographic and occupational factors predicted all outcomes. Psychological, social and relational factors had less predictive validity, although individual variables in theseconceptual clusters did significantly predict some outcomes. Our results suggest that interventions to reduce high rates of mental health problems are likely to improve attendancebehaviours, and reduce the extent to which PGRs intermit or consider ending their PhD studies for mental health-related reasons. Initiatives designed to improve supervisory relationships and reduce loneliness may also reduce absenteeism, intermission and attrition intention.

The Lookup Table Regression Model for Histogram-Valued Symbolic Data

This paper presents the Lookup Table Regression Model (LTRM) for histogram-valued symbolic data. We first transform the given symbolic data to a numerical data table by the quantile method. Then, under the selected response variable, we apply the Monotone Blocks Segmentation (MBS) to the obtained numerical data table. If the selected response variable and some remained explanatory variable(s) organize a monotone structure, the MBS generates a Lookup Table composed of interval values. For a given object, we search the nearest value of an explanatory variable, then the corresponding value of the response variable becomes the estimated value. If the response variable and the explanatory variable(s) are covariate but they follow to a non-monotonic structure, we need to divide the given data into several monotone substructures. For this purpose, we apply the hierarchical conceptual clustering to the given data, and we obtain Multiple Lookup Tables by applying the MBS to each of substructures. We show the usefulness of the proposed method by using an artificial data set and real data sets.

ECONOMIC MODEL OF THE FORMATION OF A SMALL ALTERNATIVE ENERGY CLUSTER IN THE REGION

The purpose of this article is to analyze the domestic and foreign experience of forming a cluster structure and determine the possibilities and prospects of its use as a tool for increasing energy efficiency and establishing energy independence. Submission of proposals for the formation of an energy cluster in the Luhansk region under the name "Luhansk Energy Center". Determination of the features of the energy cluster, substantiation of its advantages and disadvantages, the structure and participants are proposed, the main types of activities are indicated, and proposals for the way of strategic development are provided. Methodology. Today, the formation of a cluster structure in Ukraine is a necessary condition for the activation of domestic production, increasing the efficiency of innovative development, achieving high indicators of economic growth, energy efficiency, energy security and energy independence. Information about the specifics of the development of countries and regions can help to understand the role of clusters, thereby creating a competitive advantage. Results. Clusters are the basis of an innovative economy and a form of economic activity, and their importance is growing, an example of which is the application of the concept of clusters in the development of renewable energy. Their multi-level structure makes it possible to conduct constant research, implement the most complex projects, including international ones, maintain business competitiveness and protect its interests. One of the main reasons for the urgency of the Ukrainian cluster is the globalization and restructuring of the economy, increasing competitiveness, access to foreign markets, partnership with investors and funds, investment attraction, etc. Cluster activity can depend on individual fields or a combination of several fields. Practical implications. As research shows, a big role in the activation of innovation belongs to renewable energy. Formation of new innovative centers of social economic development of the region should be carried out on the basis of cluster development of energy infrastructure tours according to the target function, namely energy recovery type provision. Most often, regional division in countries forms has existed historically for a long time, but it is not always takes into account all economic, technological, geographical physical features. Today there are new theoretical ones and practical knowledge, management mechanisms, with the help of with the help of which different fields are directed and combined technical and technological, economic and social overall progress Value/originality. The main goal of the selected research is to determine the role of various institutions in the formation of the Luhansk energy cluster for the effective development of the region in the energy sector, as well as to confirm the possibility of using cluster systems in the context of ensuring an energy-efficient Ukrainian economy based on energy independence.

Logistics cluster and its future development: A comprehensive research review

Logistics clusters play an essential role in bridging production and consumption. Researchers, government authorities, and investors have widely recognized the benefits of logistics agglomeration, and extensive research on this topic has been performed in recent years. The aim of this study is to present an intellectual landscape through a structured literature review of logistics cluster research. First, following the logic of “what-why-how”, we found that logistics cluster research can be divided into three parts: the concept and quantitative identification of logistics clusters, the agglomeration externalities of logistics clusters, and the competitiveness and growth mechanism of logistics clusters. Second, the bibliometric results indicate that: (i) logistics clusters have gradually developed from an engineering or operations management discipline into one involving multidisciplinary approaches of geosciences, sustainable science, etc.; (ii) the focus of research has gradually shifted from the development and operation of logistics clusters to the exploration of the clusters growth mechanism; (iii) researchers start to concentrate on spatially explicit analyses of the economic and environmental effects of logistics clusters, and the exploration of sustainable growth paths for clusters. Finally, in consideration of these trends and the emerging situation, we propose some new research topics, such as (i) the convergence and competitive effect of logistics clusters, (ii) data science and analytics in logistics clusters, (iii) the application of new theories and technologies to transportation and supply chain, etc. in logistics cluster scenarios, (iv) sustainable operation of logistics clusters, and (v) quantitative modeling research in logistics clusters. Overall, much room is left for theoretically and practically expanding logistics cluster research. This study can further the unveiling of the systemic nature of logistics cluster research and provide new insights for scholars, practitioners and policymakers.

Intimate Partner Violence in a Heterosexual Marriage: Case Study of a Korean Couple

This study explores an abusive wife's symptoms and risk factors of intimate partner violence (IPV) in a heterosexual relationship. A qualitative approach, using a conceptual cluster network, was used to analyse the family therapy case of a wife abusing her husband. Findings indicate that the wife's IPV‐related symptoms included victim mentality, despair, depression, insomnia, aggression, and the desire to divorce the husband. The wife's risk factors were present at the personal, family‐relational, and sociocultural levels. This study indicates that therapists counselling violent Korean couples may explore couples' communication styles, undifferentiation of self, transference, the culture of filial piety, and the influence of Confucian culture.

On the connectedness of commodity markets: A critical and selective survey of empirical studies and bibliometric analysis

AbstractThe low correlation between commodities and traditional assets, particularly after the crash of the equity market in the year 2000, is seemingly a major factor influencing global investors' appetite to embrace commodities as a profitable alternative financial asset. In this paper, we critically and selectively provide the knowledge map of the connectedness of commodity markets based on the scientific articles published on the Web of Science (WoS). In doing this, we group the literature survey based on notable commodity markets and provide an overview of the empirical literature based on single‐ and cross‐commodity markets. The key finding of the literature survey is that there is connectedness within and across commodity markets, with evidence of time variations triggered largely by global financial crises. In addition, from 144 articles over the last two decades (1990–2021), significant conceptual clusters and networks arise, which suggest a close density of networks in terms of the keyword clusters, keyword plus co‐occurrences, country collaborations, and journal co‐citations. Furthermore, there are significant conceptual clusters that cover the association of connectedness type, commodity market, type of statistical analysis, association of major energy shocks, futures market, co‐movement, and association of transmission in stock and gold markets. Our analysis, therefore, suggests, among other things, the need for future research to analyze the pricing of pollution credits as the newest commodity market. This helps economic actors, investors, and policymakers have a better understanding of the dynamic behavior of commodity prices.

Ensuring Security and Energy Efficiency of Wireless Sensor Network by Using Blockchain

With the advancement of new technology, security is the biggest issue nowadays. To solve security problems, blockchain technology will be used. In recent work, most of the work has been done on homogeneous systems, but in our research, the primary focus is on the security of wireless sensor networks using blockchain. Over the last few decades, the Internet of Things (IoT) has been the most advancing technology due to the number of intelligent devices and associated technologies that have rapidly grown in every field of the world, such as smart cities, education, agriculture, banking, healthcare, etc. Many of the applications are developing by using IoT technologies for real-time monitoring. Because of storage capacity or low processing power, smart devices or gadgets are vulnerable to attack as existing cryptography techniques or security are insufficient. In this research work, firstly, we review and identify the privacy and security issues in the IoT system. Secondly, there is a solution for the security issues, which is resolved by blockchain technology. We will check the wireless sensor network to see how data work on distributed or decentralized network architecture. Wireless sensor network clustering technique was introduced by researchers for network efficiency because when the workload spreads, the system will work faster and more efficiently. A cluster comprises a number of nodes, and the cluster head manages the local interactions between the nodes in the cluster (CH). In general, cluster members connect with the cluster head, and the cluster head aggregates and fuses the data acquired in order to save energy. Before approaching the sink, the cluster heads may additionally create another layer of clusters among themselves. The clustering concept divides data traffic into several groups similar to the other data points in the same data point. In contrast, this data point is dissimilar from other data points in another group. All results are presented at the end of this study paper, in which we will see the network or nodes’ performance in the specific area of the network, how it works, and how efficient it is. Likewise, Blockchain also works in a distributed manner.

Statistical genetics concepts in biomass-based materials engineering.

With the rise of biomass-based materials such as nanocellulose, there is a growing need to develop statistical methods capable of leveraging inter-dependent experimental data to improve material design, product development, and process optimisation. Statistical approaches are essential given the multifaceted nature of variability in lignocellulosic biomass, which includes a range of different biomass feedstock types, a combinative arrangement of different biomass processing routes, and an array of different product formats depending on the focal application. To account for this large degree of variability and to extract meaningful patterns from research studies, there is a requirement to generate larger datasets of biomass-derived material properties through well-designed experimental systems that enable statistical analysis. To drive this trend, this article proposes the cross-disciplinary utilisation of statistical modelling approaches commonly applied within the field of statistical genetics to evaluate data generated in the field of biomass-based material research and development. The concepts of variance partitioning, heritability, hierarchical clustering, and selection gradients have been explained in their native context of statistical genetics and subsequently applied across the disciplinary boundary to evaluate relationships within a model experimental study involving the production of sorghum-derived cellulose nanofibres and their subsequent fabrication into nanopaper material. Variance partitioning and heritability calculates the relative influence of biomass vs. processing factors on material performance, while hierarchical clustering highlights the obscured similarity between experimental samples or characterisation metrics, and selection gradients elucidate the relationships between characterisation metrics and material quality. Ultimately, these statistical modelling approaches provide more depth to the investigation of biomass-processing-structure-property-performance relationships through outlining a framework for product characterisation, quality evaluation, and data visualisation, not only applicable to nanocellulose production but for all biomass-based materials and products.

Legal Aspect on Indonesia Military-Industrial Complex to Strengthening Defence Industry Research and Clasterization in Building Independent Defence Industry in Indonesia

Indonesia's bitter experience of the embargo became a hard slap and a reminder of the importance of the National Defense Industry in meeting the needs of the TNI's defense equipment and encouraging the quality of the TNI's performance in carrying out the territorial defense of the Republic of Indonesia. Over time the development of the National Defense Industry continues to grow and is supported by regulations at the level of the Law, namely Law no. 16 of 2012 concerning the Defense Industry in realizing the Independence of the National Defense Industry. However, over time the implementation of Law no. 16 of 2012 does not work properly, challenges and problems arise, there are two problems in the National Defense Industry, namely Research and Development (R&D) and Defense Clustering. In this paper, a deeper review of the complex defense industry uses the research method, namely normative juridical research with two approaches including the statute approach and the conceptual approach. The results of the research in this paper carry the Core Indonesia Military-Industrial Complex which supports the strengthening of Research by initiating the Concept of Feedback and Clustering of the Defense Industry by forming 7 Defense Industry Clusters which include Raw Material Industry, Production Industry, Assembly Industry, Production, Support Industry (Components, Spare Parts), Electronic Industry, Maintenance.

Fifteen years of YouTube scholarly research: knowledge structure, collaborative networks, and trending topics.

Since its inception, YouTube has been a source of entertainment and education. Everyday millions of videos are uploaded to this platform. Researchers have been using YouTube as a source of information in their research. However, there is a lack of bibliometric reports on research carried out on this platform and the pattern in the published works. This study aims at providing a bibliometric analysis on YouTube as a source of information to fill this gap. Specifically, this paper analyzes 1781 articles collected from the Scopus database spanning fifteen years. The analysis revealed that 2006-2007 were initial stage in YouTube research followed by 2008 -2017 which is the decade of rapid growth in YouTube research. The 2017 -2021 is considered the stage of consolidation and stabilization of this research topic. We also discovered that most relevant papers were published in small number of journals such as New Media and Society, Convergence, Journal of Medical Internet Research, Computers in Human Behaviour and the Physics Teacher, which proves the Bradford’s law. USA, Turkey, and UK are the countries with the highest number of publications. We also present network analysis between countries, sources, and authors. Analyzing the keywords resulted in finding the trend in research such as “video sharing” (2010-2018), “web -based learning” (2012-2014), and “COVID -19” (2020 onward). Finally, we used Multiple Correspondence Analysis (MCA) to find the conceptual clusters of research on YouTube. The first cluster is related to user -generated content. The second cluster is about health and medical issues, and the final cluster is on the topic of information quality.

Cluster: the Globalization of Economies

Globalization generated advanced competitive schemes that forced human beings and companies to take new initiatives in order to face the new business models that are being developed. A new scheme, model or strategic tool is the Cluster, which helps companies, governments and the community in general to have an opportunity to compete at a global scale. This paper presents a theoretical-conceptual overview. It makes reference of the contributions that have been made to the cluster concept: The globalization of the economy has been consolidating over time and local regions accept it to mold new strategies for competitive development. The constitution of clusters is not a fashion, it is a local development trend, which seeks to penetrate globalized markets, but with the conviction that it cannot be achieved in "solitary", so that the "collectivity" of sectorial business efforts, becomes the alternative for the formation of the cluster and thus be able to effectively meet the exigencies of globalization. Therefore, this paper focuses on conceptual development around clusters and globalization, from different chronological views of development.

Manifest Quasi-Universals and Embedding Conceptual Clusters

We start this article with a discussion of the problematics involved in translating into modern English a (modern) Chinese text concerning a classical Chinese notion, namely qíng 情. Then, we suggest that it is necessary to distinguish between two levels on which a language is used. The first is the manifest level, where one finds family resemblance between, say, Chinese nù 怒 and English “anger”. The second is the generic level, where one finds qíng in classical Chinese, qínggaˇn in modern Chinese, and emotion(s) in English. We argue that the meanings of words at the generic level can only be accessed via the manifest level. It is misleading to directly identify and compare notions at the generic level (in this case, emotion(s) in English and qíng in Chinese). We call the connections at the manifest level “quasi-universals”, and we refer to the notions at the generic level as “embedding conceptual clusters”.

Development of clusters in the conditions of globalization: the experience of the EU countries and the prospects of Ukraine

Methods. The study was based on the application of the monographic method for studying clusters and identifying the cause-and-effect connections of their development in the context of globalization. General scientific methods were also applied in the work, in particular: abstraction – to determine the essence of the concept of clusters chosen as an object of study; grouping – for the classification of the clustering process according to the system-functional feature and the feature of the prevailing integration connections; comparative analysis – for establishing quantitative and qualitative differences in the process of development of clusters in EU countries and Ukraine. Results. The article explains the concept of cluster, which is used in the study of clustering processes in the conditions of globalization of development. Clusters are classified according to their spatial, functional, and industry characteristics. It is determined that the creation of clusters should be a process that combines skills, sources of knowledge, business, market structures and consumers in an open market environment. The European experience of implementation of cluster development programs is analyzed and signs of their stability in the crisis conditions of global development are formulated. The ability of Ukrainian clusters to participate in overcoming the consequences of the pandemic is demonstrated. The negative effects of a gap in supply chains and added value on the development of clusters in Ukraine under martial law are shown. It is concluded that the development of clusters should become a priority task on the path of Ukraine’s integration into the European Union. Novelty. The essence of clusterization processes is substantiated and the trends of their development in the conditions of globalization are shown. The key problems of clusters formation are highlighted and the prospects of clustering in Ukraine are outlined. Practical value. The conclusions and proposals can be used in the formation of the state policy of clusters development in the domestic economy.

ENERGY CLUSTERS IN LIGHT OF THE AMENDMENT TO THE ACT ON RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES (RES)

The aim of the article is to present the idea of ​​energy clusters and legislative changes concerning the creation of energy clusters. An attempt was made to theoretically analyze the concept of energy clusters in the light of the amendment to the Act on renewable energy sources (RES). The method of literature review was applied and the most important items concerning the functioning of energy clusters were referred to. Provisions of subsequent RES laws regarding energy clusters were presented, starting from the Act of February 20, 2015, in which the definition of an energy cluster appeared for the first time, and ending with the latest amendment to the Act of February 24, 2022. It was found that the progressing globalization encourages austerity measures, especially in the energy sector, which contributes to the development of the economy. The way to meet the requirements of the European Union regarding increasing the share of renewable energy sources in the energy mix and limiting the consumption of conventional resources may be distributed energy based on the activities of prosumers, which is undoubtedly manifested by energy clusters.
