The aim of this research is to assess the financial condition of PT. Wilmar Cahaya Indonesia in the 2019-2023 period based on liquidity, solvency and profitability ratios. The methodology used is quantitative descriptive analysis using secondary data from the company's financial reports. The research results show that although the company's liquidity is said to be liquid, a turnover ratio of more than 500% is considered too high. This indicates inadequate capital utilization. The solvency ratio shows a company's healthy financial position, identifying the company as being able to fulfill its long-term obligations. However, the profitability ratio shows poor financial health with the ratio far below standard, tends to decline, and has low ROA and ROE values. The company's inability to use resources efficiently to generate profits is the cause of this decline. Overall, even though PT Wilmar Cahaya Indonesia is liquid and solvable, its financial health for the 2019-2023 period still needs to be improved, especially in terms of profitability. The analysis shows that to increase profitability, companies must improve the effectiveness of current asset management and maximize resource utilization. This study provides an overview of the company's financial situation and can be used as a reference for future management.

Analysis of Liquidity and Profitability Ratios for Measuring the Financial Performance of PT Tiki JNE Cikupa in 2021-2023

The times affect the company's financial situation. The level of uncertainty and risk is difficult to measure against company performance. Moreover, the impact of COVID-19 has caused many companies to go bankrupt. However, bankruptcy can also be attributed to unhealthy financial factors and high operating costs. Additionally, management errors in handling finances can lead to a decline in the company's financial performance, often due to insufficient analysis of financial reports, which are essential for evaluating the company and making informed policies. PT Tiki JNE Cikupa is one of the companies in Tangerang Regency that has survived the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the financial performance of PT Tiki JNE Cikupa from 2021 to 2023. This research utilizes a descriptive approach with quantitative analysis tools. Data collection is done through the financial statements of PT Tiki JNE Cikupa. The analysis tool uses financial ratios, namely liquidity, solvency, and profitability. The results of this study indicate that the average liquidity ratios are as follows: the current ratio is 145%, the quick ratio is 145%, and the cash ratio is 108%. For profitability ratios, the gross profit margin and net profit margin are 6%, ROI is 13%, and ROE is 9%. In conclusion, the liquidity and profitability ratios indicate that the financial performance of PT Tiki JNE Cikupa is not good.

This study was carried out to gather empirical data on the impact of equity and liquidity on profitability at PT Bank Sumut Pusat in Medan City. The data was gathered from monthly financial records evaluated at PT Bank Sumut Pusat in Medan City. Data was gathered through interviews and data management and then analyzed using multiple linear regression. In this study, the data was processed via SPSS. This study employed a sample of 36 monthly reports collected over three years. Specifically, the years 2020–2022. Hence, the capital structure of enterprises in different countries, regions, or types of scale needs to be tailored to local conditions. Enterprises should analyze specific situations to establish a more reasonable capital structure with the aim of optimizing company operations.

As a matter of fact, regarding as the world's largest fast food chain, McDonald's financial situation has been under scrutiny in recent years. On this basis, it is crucial to investigate the financial situation of McDonald. With this in mind, this paper mainly studies and discusses the change of McDonald's company's financial situation. Actualization of the need to monitor the effectiveness of the financial and economic security system is primarily a consequence of the objective analysis of the effectiveness of the relevant mechanism. The purpose of the article is to determine the methodological principles of the analysis of the effectiveness of the mechanism of managing the financial and economic security of the enterprise in conditions of instability of the internal and external environments. The subject of the study is the mechanism of managing the financial and economic security of the enterprise. Research methods: analysis and synthesis, comparison, grouping and analogies, deduction, economic and mathematical modeling. The hypothesis of the study is that the effectiveness of the financial and economic security management mechanism of the enterprise in conditions of dynamic external environment depends on the objective information support for management decision-making thanks to the operational monitoring of the identification of the main objects of protection against potential threats. Presenting main material. The article examines the financial and economic security of the enterprise as one of the most important components of economic security. The features of managing financial and economic security in the conditions of the financial crisis and related internal and external threats to the enterprise are revealed. The system of financial and economic security of the enterprise is presented as one that reflects the level of the company's financial situation, is characterized by resistance to the influence of threats from the internal and external environments, and is aimed at the effective use of the enterprise's resources. That is why it is important for the management of financial and economic security to have a deep understanding of threats, which are systematized as threats from the external and internal environments. A structural and functional model of the development of the management mechanism of the financial and economic security of the enterprise is proposed. The algorithm for controlling the financial and economic security of the enterprise has been improved, which is primarily focused on monitoring the implementation of the financial and economic security management program aimed at neutralizing threats to financial and economic security from internal and external environments. Based on the generalization of domestic and international experience, the main tasks of state administration bodies to ensure effective management of the financial and economic security of the enterprise, taking into account modern challenges, are structured. In total, the structured methodological principles of the analysis of the effectiveness of the financial and economic security management mechanism of the enterprise create an information basis for making management decisions based on the identification of the main objects of protection and potential threats. Originality and practical significance of the research. The practical value of the research lies in the fact that the obtained results in the form of a structural-functional model for the development of the mechanism for managing the financial and economic security of the enterprise and the algorithm for controlling the financial and economic security of the enterprise are suitable for practical application by enterprises in conditions of dynamic changes. At the same time, the complex result of the development of methodological principles for the analysis of the effectiveness of the mechanism of managing the financial and economic security of the enterprise was tested on the example of the case of the enterprise in the medical field using correlation-regression analysis. In further investigations, the developed methodological developments can be used to develop a system of adaptive management of enterprises in conditions of uncertainty. Сonclusions and prospects for further research. Management of financial and economic security is an integral part of the successful functioning of the enterprise in modern dynamic conditions. Currently, this is the main element of enterprise management, which allows to comprehensively influence the financial condition, providing the ability to effectively use financial resources, competently manage threats, to achieve effective development and implementation of the enterprise's strategy in the present and future. Correlation-regression analysis allows you to determine which financial indicators are the most influential on the level of financial and economic security of the enterprise.

This article determines the effects of applying the new requirements of the International Financial Reporting Standard, IFRS 16 on leases, proposed by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) and the Financial Accounting Standards Council (FASB), Regarding the correct preparation of the explanatory notes of the complete set of the financial statements of the companies generated with the new amendments to the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), in turn, the EBITDA indicator ('Earnings Before Interests') was analyzed. , Tax, Depreciation and Amortization') that shows the gross operating profit before deducting financial expenses. Purpose- A key factor in ensuring that stakeholders can make well-informed decisions based on accurate and up-to-date information is financial reporting timeliness. This involves the timely release of financial statements, which are essential for providing investors, creditors, and other stakeholders with an overview of a company's financial status. Timely financial reporting allows stakeholders to react quickly to changes in a company's financial situation and make informed investment decisions. It also helps to build trust and confidence in a company's management and financial reporting processes, ultimately leading to greater transparency and accountability. This study aims to provide a scope review of current literature on financial reporting timeliness by analyzing the number of publications on this topic in Web of Science. Methodology- A systematic search of academic databases and search engines was conducted using keywords such as "financial reporting timeliness," "audit report lag" and "audit report delay". Findings- We found that there are more than 150 publications on the topicality of financial reporting on the Web of Science alone from 2012-2023. Over the past few years, there has been a steady and consistent increase in the number of publications dedicated to exploring the topic of financial reporting timeliness, specifically focusing on the audit report lag. Conclusion- The review highlights key themes, including factors contributing to audit report delays, the impact of audit report delays on financial reporting timeliness, and potential solutions for improving audit report timeliness. The findings reveal that audit report delays can have significant consequences for financial reporting timeliness, and consequently, for stakeholders' decision-making processes. This scope review underscores the importance of addressing audit report delays to maintain timely financial reporting and proposes future research directions for further exploration. This article focuses on financial ratios, a topic that is often considered obsolete. This leads many scholars and companies to underestimate the danger of incorrect calculations and interpretations of these ratios. Sometimes, in some articles and books, it can be perceived how the author, while addressing the issue of a company's financial situation, considers Financial ratios as obsolete analysis tools and proposes the use of much more sophisticated and complex instruments for financial analysis. This behaviour is to be stigmatised because we know that more refined and complex instruments must supplement financial ratios for a company's financial analysis to be complete. However, we disagree with considering Financial ratios as obsolete instruments. Further investigations may be performed alongside these ratios, but these ratios can never replace by any complex and, perhaps, more structured financial tool. And it should note that underestimating the importance of financial ratios frequently leads to the quantitative determination of incorrect values and the interpretation of data, even if determined correctly, that is entirely misleading and far removed from the reality that the ratios are intended to portray. For the writer, therefore, financial ratios are not only not obsolete but represent the starting point of a financial analysis that provides company management with indispensable information on the development of the financial situation of the company to which they belongAnalysis of a company's financial situation is not feasible except by comparing specific data with other values. And it should be noted how using ratios alone is insufficient to carry out a financial analysis point. The completion of proportions with dynamic analysis is essential, and therefore, for this reason, the preparation of a cash flow statement should be considered indispensable completion of purely financial ratios.

The present study data is based on the Egyptian ministry of tourism figures, internet, articles, and international channels reports aimed to explain how the political, social, and economic events had a negative impact on the hotel industry in Egypt.

Selection of sales distribution channel in agricultural enterprise

According to applied TOPSIS multi-criteria decision-making method (Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution), in paper was selected adequate sales distribution channel in one enterprise active within the agro-food sector at the territory of Semberija (BiH). Decision makers, in this case represented by employed management in enterprise, have been evaluated five sales distribution channels in enterprise in line to previously defined criteria, i.e. products' characteristics, company's financial situation, consumer habits, production costs, geographic concentration, and products' assortment. The main goal of research was to create a model for optimal selection of sales channels, while derived results have been showed that the model "producer - seller (retailer) - consumer" is the most adequate towards the predefined selection criteria. In addition to the justified role of used method in selection of offered alternatives, article also represents a base that will serve in further research, whose focus would be on modernizing of existing and searching for new distribution channels in agricultural enterprises.

Artificial intelligence in predicting the bankruptcy of non-financial corporations

Research background: In a modern economy, full of complexities, ensuring a business' financial stability, and increasing its financial performance and competitiveness, has become especially difficult. Then, monitoring the company's financial situation and predicting its future development becomes important. Assessing the financial health of business entities using various models is an important area in not only scientific research, but also business practice. Purpose of the article: This study aims to predict the bankruptcy of companies in the engineering and automotive industries of the Slovak Republic using a multilayer neural network and logistic regression. Importantly, we develop a novel an early warning model for the Slovak engineering and automotive industries, which can be applied in countries with undeveloped capital markets. Methods: Data on the financial ratios of 2,384 companies were used. We used a logistic regression to analyse the data for the year 2019 and designed a logistic model. Meanwhile, the data for the years 2018 and 2019 were analysed using the neural network. In the prediction model, we analysed the predictive performance of several combinations of factors based on the industry sector, use of the scaling technique, activation function, and ratio of the sample distribution to the test and training parts. Findings & value added: The financial indicators ROS, QR, NWC/A, and PC/S reduce the likelihood of bankruptcy. Regarding the value of this work, we constructed an optimal network for the automotive and engineering industries using nine financial indicators on the input layer in combination with one hidden layer. Moreover, we developed a novel prediction model for bankruptcy using six of these indicators. Almost all sampled industries are privatised, and most companies are foreign owned. Hence, international companies as well as researchers can apply our models to understand their financial health and sustainability. Moreover, they can conduct comparative analyses of their own model with ours to reveal areas of model improvements.

Since operational management is essential in delving into a company's profitability, it is first necessary to identify an operating management concept that is useful for data analysis to be an efficient and effective tool for identifying the most appropriate steps for maximising company profitability. The first step in this process is to identify an operational management concept that does not change depending on the area in which we are acting. Thus, the same concept must apply in the profitability and financial spheres, should this concept be used to analyse a company's financial situation. And it is also necessary for the same concept to be present in the area of the study of monetary flows because if the concept of operational management or other concepts that are used to study this type of activity change depending on the sphere in which we are acting, the analysis will be confusing and will lead to an incorrect interpretation of the results obtained. A second very relevant element to be noted is that the in-depth analysis of operations is often done incorrectly by comparing ROA with the ROI trend and thus interpreting the trend of active financial management and asset management residually. If this is done this way, the analysis results can be misleading. It is necessary to conduct a more in-depth analysis that considers other variables, which will discuss in more detail in this article.

Analisis Perbandingan Kinerja Keuangan PT. Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk Sebelum dan Sesudah Pandemi Covid-19

The main focus of this research is to be able to measure and make a comparison of a company's financial performance before the pandemic and also after the covid-19 pandemic at PT. Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk. The population is also the sample used for this research, namely using the financial statements at PT. Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk. in 2019 and 2020. The method used for this research is descriptive quantitative. This time the measurement uses only three ratios, namely the liquidity ratio, solvency ratio, and also the profitability ratio. The results that have been studied show that there are differences in the financial performance of PT. Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk before and after the covid-19 pandemic. There are several indicators that have decreased, namely the profitability ratio, ROA has decreased due to declining sales after the covid-19 pandemic. The company's burden increased due to the covid-19 pandemic which caused a decrease in NPM but was still within reasonable limits. However, there was a positive impact after the covid-19 pandemic, namely on the liquidity ratio, where the current ratio or current ratio increased after the covid-19 pandemic, which means the company's financial situation is getting better in paying its debts. The very current ratio and after the covid-19 pandemic was stated to be still in the good category, but the company was considered inefficient in utilizing its assets after the entry of the covid-19 pandemic. After the covid-19 pandemic, the DER value decreased, indicating that the debt and liabilities in the company were smaller than all the assets owned by the company. The company experienced a decrease in DAR meaning that the company could minimize its debt and maximize its asset management.

The Impact of Corporate Capital Structure on Financial Performance Based on Convolutional Neural Network

Capital structure is an important indicator to measure the source, composition, and proportion of a company's equity and debit capital. It is not only related to the internal operating environment of listed companies but also related to the rights and obligations of shareholders and is closely related to the company's future development direction, decision-making bodies, and changes in governance structure. This study aims to study the impact of corporate capital structure on financial performance based on convolutional neural network. Based on the relevant theories of capital structure, by constructing a convolutional neural network model, taking a listed company as the research object, this study analyzes the company's capital structure, liabilities, and other financial conditions. Finally, it is concluded that short-term liabilities can meet the company's sustainable development and enhance the competitiveness of the industry, thereby increasing the company's operating income. However, a poor capital structure can negatively impact a company's finances. By improving the corporate governance structure of listed companies, strengthening the adjustment of the financing structure of listed companies, and strengthening the management of listed company's operating risks, the company's capital structure can be improved so that the company's financial situation can be sustainable and healthy.

On 29 March 2022, the International Sustainability Standard Board (ISSB), an emanation of the IASB, issued two Exposure Drafts: IFRS S1 General Requirement for Disclosure of Sustainability-related Financial Information and IFRS S2 Climate-related Disclosure. This article will only deal with Draft S1, which proposes a vision of corporate disclosure that goes beyond the Financial reporting of the year/Sustainability disclosure dualism. Draft S1 suggests a unitary corporate communication that, at the same time, disseminates a set of documents to be considered as a whole concerning the company's financial situation, assets and liabilities, income and the actions and strategies implemented concerning sustainability. This proposal proposes a model of global corporate reporting rather than a fragmented one, as is often the case in companies in many countries. However, even in the vision of Draft S1, the presence of the financial statements remains separate from the document providing information on sustainability, even if interpreted as a unitary means of communication. It should also be noted that the sustainability report requires the disclosure of financial data related to the implementation of sustainable policies.

Comparison Uncertainty of Different Types of Membership Functions in T2FLS: Case of International Financial Market

This article deals with the determination and comparison of different types of functions of the type-2 interval of fuzzy logic, using a case study on the international financial market. The model is demonstrated on the time series of the leading stock index DJIA of the US market. Type-2 Fuzzy Logic membership features are able to include additional uncertainty resulting from unclear, uncertain or inaccurate financial data that are selected as inputs to the model. Data on the financial situation of companies are prone to inaccuracies or incomplete information, which is why the type-2 fuzzy logic application is most suitable for this type of financial analysis. This paper is primarily focused on comparing and evaluating the performance of different types of type-2 fuzzy membership functions with integrated additional uncertainty. For this purpose, several model situations differing in shape and level or degree of uncertainty of membership functions are constructed. The results of this research show that type-2 fuzzy sets with dual membership functions is a suitable expert system for highly chaotic and unstable international stock markets and achieves higher accuracy with the integration of a certain level of uncertainty compared to type-1 fuzzy logic.
