Enhancement of Inventory Management System of State Universities and Colleges in Mountain Province

This qualitative research critically investigates the inventory management systems utilized by State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in Mountain Province, revealing a significant gap in operational efficiency due to outdated processes and technologies. Employing a descriptive research design, the study systematically evaluates the limitations and challenges within the current framework of the Supply and Property Management Office (SPMO). The analysis uncovers substantial inefficiencies caused by manual procedures and obsolete technological tools, which hinder the institution's ability to effectively manage and allocate resources. The research identifies the urgent need for a modernized approach, advocating for integrating advanced digital technologies to optimize procurement, inventory tracking, and resource distribution. The proposed interventions aim to minimize errors, reduce operational delays, and enhance overall cost-efficiency, resulting in a more responsive and sustainable inventory management system tailored to the evolving needs of SUCs.

Development and validation of a virtual learning management system usability questionnaire: A case study.

The post-pandemic era has seen a surge in the popularity of Virtual Learning Management Systems (VLMS). However, there is a noticeable lack of tools to measure the usability of these systems. As technology evolves, user needs change, necessitating updated tools for system evaluation. This study aims to develop and validate a VLMS usability questionnaire, specifically designed to assess the usability of a university learning management system. The VLMS usability tool was systematically developed based on relevant domains identified in existing literature and expert opinions. It was then tested for face validity, content validity, and reliability. In a case study, the tool was distributed among 200 students from a Medical Sciences university who had used the Navid VLMS system. Semi-structured interviews with experts were analyzed using directed content analysis, resulting in 21 items categorized into four domains: effectiveness, reliability, learnability, and security. The content validity index and ratio were 0.939 and 0.976, respectively. The Intra Class Correlation (ICC) estimates for each section of the questionnaire ranged from 0.8-0.9, indicating high reliability. Cronbach's alpha was 0.97, suggesting excellent internal consistency. The case study results showed that the Navid platform achieved an average usability score of 70.36, with a standard deviation of 10.6, indicating moderate to high usability. The VLMS usability tool is a valid and reliable instrument for assessing the usability of the Navid learning management system. It can be used to improve the usability of the Navid system and serve as a benchmark for assessing the usability of other similar VLMSs.

THE CURRENT STATE OF TRAINING OF FUTURE SPECIALISTS FOR SPORTS AND RECREATIONAL WORK WITH PEOPLE OF THE THIRD AGE IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS OF UKRAINE AND THE EUROPEAN UNION COUNTRIES

The article deals with some aspects of training future specialists for sports and recreational work with people of the third age. The Ukrainian socio-economic location dictates new requirements for training. It is necessary to expand the possibilities of choosing the directions of the curriculum of the educational process, which allows students to increase the level of self-education. Today, there is an increase in the level of professional and social prestige of sports education, improvement of material resources, increased funding, and the growing role of interregional institutions. The system of sports education should develop dynamically, using the achievements of science, the latest educational technologies and best practices. The main strategic course of higher education should be aimed at improving the level of professional skills, qualifications, and ethics. The article examines the current state of training future specialists for sports and recreational work with people of the third age at European universities (on the example of Norway, Sweden, Poland), the main types of universities that train students in European countries, the management system of European universities, and the peculiarities of organizing the educational process. The education system of each European country has centuries of experience, its own traditions in the field of education and is characterized by a number of national peculiarities. Differences are manifested in the structural organization of the learning process, in the content of education, in the methods and forms of organizing the learning process, as well as at the level of governance. The trend of the modern system of student training in higher education institutions in Europe is the priority of state classical and pedagogical universities.

Optimized Application of the Decision Tree ID3 Algorithm Based on Big Data in Sports Performance Management

In the rapidly evolving landscape of sports performance management, the integration of Big Data analytics has become a game-changer. This paper established a sports performance management system on big data decision tree ID3 algorithm and analyzed the accuracy and time of the improved decision tree ID3 algorithm in sports performance management. The research results show that the data query and data display functions are widely used in the system, and the utilization rate of each function of big data in the system can be clearly seen. In the accuracy of sports performance management, the improved ID3 algorithm is obviously higher than the ID3 algorithm, and the accuracy is improved by 4.16%. In the average time of sports performance management, the improved ID3 algorithm takes less time than the ID3 algorithm, and the time is reduced by 31.50%. The big data technology used has greatly changed the performance information management system of colleges or sports events and provides a research reference for the management of sports performance.

The Application of Big Data in the Management of Ideological and Political Education in the Development of Education Network

Based on a brief analysis of the current situation of university education management and research on intelligent algorithms, this article constructs a university education management system based on big data. For the clustering and prediction modules in higher education management, corresponding algorithms are used for optimization design. A fuzzy clustering algorithm based on entropy weight is proposed to address the shortcomings of the C-means clustering algorithm. This algorithm adds weighting coefficients on the basis of improvement and continuously updates the clustering centers. The prediction module uses Apriori algorithm to map and compress the target transaction database, reduces the number of candidate item sets through pruning process, and designs simulation experiments to measure the performance of the algorithm. The simulation results show that the clustering results of this algorithm are closer to the actual clustering situation, with shorter running time and better algorithm performance.

Attendance tracking is simplified with the CMS, allowing faculty to record and monitor student attendance easily. Integration with biometric systems or RFID technology enhances accuracy and eliminates manual attendance taking. Comprehensive attendance reports provide insights into student progress and compliance with attendance policies. Resource management is optimized through the CMS, which enables efficient allocation and utilization of classrooms, laboratories, library resources, and equipment. Administrators can manage inventory, track asset availability, and schedule resource bookings to prevent conflicts and ensure optimal utilization. Reporting and analytics features empower administrators with real-time insights into various aspects of college operations. Customizable dashboards provide information on enrollment statistics, academic performance, financial data, and more, enabling informed decision-making and continuous improvement. In conclusion, the College Management System developed with Django, HTML/CSS/JS, and SQLite revolutionizes educational institution management. Research on Countermeasures to Build a Green University Management System under the Concept of Ecological Education

Higher learning institutions have played a significant role in enhancing ecological education and ideological development among students. This is in response to the many problems occurring in the modern world concerning ideological and environmental aspects. Despite the efforts made by the state through increasing investments to deal with these aspects effectively, the resulting impact is not satisfactory. Motivations and Potential Solutions in Developing a Knowledge Management System for Organization at Higher Education: A Systematic Literature Review

Background: Amidst a rapidly evolving digital landscape that accelerates the flow of information, higher education institutions face the unique challenge of managing vast and dynamic knowledge resources. This research delves into the motivations and innovative solutions for developing Knowledge Management Systems (KMS), which is key to optimizing knowledge resource utilization and enhancing academic collaboration. Objective: This research provides a comprehensive mapping of problems and solutions for developing university knowledge management systems based on previous research. Not only that, but the results of this study also suggest three future research studies that can be adopted. Methods: This study used the Kitchenham systematic literature review method. The author uses literature in the form of journals and conference proceedings published from 2019 to 2023. Twenty-three articles were used for this study from 5 databases, such as ACM, ProQuest, Scopus, Taylor & Francis, and IEEE Xplore. Results: This study reveals research trends in knowledge management systems within higher education, examining aspects such as country, data collection methods, research methodologies, and theoretical frameworks. The main problems motivating the development of KMS are identified and categorized based on the people, process, and technology framework. In overcoming these problems in the university business process, there are several alternative solutions, both in the form of requirements and systems. Thus, the results of this study seek to provide guidelines for future research to adopt alternative solutions from this research and develop KMS to provide new solutions. Conclusion: This study advances knowledge about various trends, motivations, requirements, and system solutions to address KMS problems in higher education. The authors' research results can add valuable insights to improve our understanding of the development of KMS in universities in various countries. Future research can identify new potential in KMS in business processes currently running in a university with appropriate methodologies. Application of computer information management system in universities in the information age

The application of computer information management system (IMS for short here) in university management faces problems such as incomplete system software and complex system design. Applying clustering algorithms (CA for short here) to computer student IMS can help optimize the system’s overall effectiveness. This article constructed a computer student IMS based on computer technology and applied it to the management of college students. This article also combined CA to conduct relevant effectiveness tests on the system, in order to optimize the overall effectiveness of the system. Under the algorithm in this article, the average connection speed for each user accessing the system was 9.17 Mbps. The average reaction time was 0.34 seconds, the average security level was 92.47%, and the highest memory usage rate of the system was 34.27%; Under the decision tree algorithm, the average connection speed of each user accessing the system was 8.82 Mbps, and the average reaction time reached 0.64 s. The average security level was 88.41%, and the highest memory usage rate was 42.58%. Under the artificial neural network algorithm, the average connection speed of the system was 8.47 Mbps, the average response time was 0.86 s, and the highest memory usage rate was 45.97%. Analyzing the data reveals that the algorithm introduced in this paper significantly enhances system connection speed and reduces reaction time. This improvement not only enhances security measures but also minimizes memory usage, effectively optimizing the overall efficiency of the system.

Intelligent Education Managemnt System Design for Universities based on MTCNN Face Recognition Algorithm

Face recognition technique has made significant advancements in security and attendance, but its application in teaching management is minimal. To address the issues of insufficient teacher resources and declining educational quality, the paper designs an intelligent education management system for colleges and universities based on improved Multi-task Cascaded Convolutional Neural Networks (MTCNN) face recognition. The purpose is to achieve accurate recognition of faces through improved facial recognition technology, thereby analyzing the attendance status of students, and improving the efficiency and quality of educational resource utilization. Firstly, an improved MTCNN facial recognition technology is adopted to achieve realtime monitoring of student status and attendance in the classroom through a B/S network structure. Secondly, through cluster deployment and load balancing, system stability and response speed can be improved. The results indicated that the improved MTCNN had better facial recognition accuracy and GPU utilization than traditional systems under different occlusion conditions. When there was no occlusion, recognition accuracy was 99.4%. However, when occlusion was presented at 10%, 20%, and 30%, the accuracy dropped to 92.3%, 84.25%, and 73.4%, respectively. Additionally, when the number of concurrent users was 1000, the maximum GPU utilization rate was 75%, which was 11% lower than traditional MTCNN systems. The use of an improved MTCNN facial recognition-based intelligent education management system in universities can effectively enhance the quality of classroom teaching and monitor the status of students. Further optimization of algorithm performance is needed in subsequent research to support larger-scale concurrent user usage while reducing hardware resource consumption.

College Management System

This paper is aimed at developing an Online Intranet College Management System (CMS) that is of importance to either an educational institution or a college. The system (CMS) is an Intranet based application that can be accessed throughout the institution or a specified department. This system may be used for monitoring attendance for the college. Students as well as staffs logging in may also access or can be search any of the information regarding college. Attendance of the staff and students as well as marks of the students will be updated by staff. This system (C.M.S) is being developed for an engineering college to maintain and facilitate easy access to information. For this the users must be registered with the system after which they can access as well as modify data as per the permissions given to them. CMS is an intranet-based application that aims at providing information to all the levels of management within an organization. This system can be used as a knowledge/information management system for the college. For a given student/staff (technical/non-technical) can access the system to either upload or download some information from the database.

The Purpose Model for Improving Digital Management in Universities in Guangxi

The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the current situation of digital management in universities in Guangxi, 2) to develop the purpose model for improving digital management in universities in Guangxi, 3) to evaluate the suitability and feasibility of the purpose model for improving digital management in universities in Guangxi. The sample group of this research was 148 administrators in 20 public undergraduate universities in Guangxi. They were selected by systematic random sampling and sample random sampling. The interview group was led by administrators from 12 universities, totaling 12 people. The experts for evaluating the suitability and feasibility of the purpose model for improving digital management consisted of high-level administrators from 7 universities, totaling 7 people. The research instruments were document analysis, questionnaire, structured interview, and evaluation form. The statistics to analyze the data were percentage, average value, and standard deviation. The results found that the current situation of digital management in universities in Guangxi in five aspects was at a high level. Considering the results of this research aspects ranged from the highest to lowest level were as follows: the highest level was the digital campus security management system, followed by the digital student management system, and the digital scientific research management system was the lowest level. The purpose model for improving digital management in universities in Guangxi has five aspects, which contain 40 measures. There are 7 measures to enhance the digital management ability of Guangxi University managers, 10 measures to promote the digital teaching management system in Universities in Guangxi, 8 measures to promote the digital scientific research management system in Universities in Guangxi, 9 measures to promote the digital student management system in Universities in Guangxi, 6 measures to promote the digital campus security management system in Universities in Guangxi. The results of the evaluation of the suitability and feasibility of the purpose model for improving digital management in universities in Guangxi were at the highest level.
