Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemahaman Matematis Siswa Melalui Model Problem Based Learning di SMA Negeri 2 Medan

Mathematics is a vital discipline, yet it is often considered complicated by students. This results in their low mathematical understanding, which is very important in learning mathematics to solve problems more easily and relate the concepts understood. “This study used a class action research method (PTK) on students of class XI IPA-3 SMA Negeri 2 Medan in the 2023/2024 academic year, totaling 36 people. In this study, data were collected through observation sheets, learning outcome tests, and documentation to evaluate the mathematical understanding ability of students in class XI-IPA 3 at SMA Negeri 2 Medan. The results showed a significant improvement after the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model, as seen from the results of the initial ability test, cycle I test, and cycle II test”.

Analisis Keterampilan Berpikir Kreatif Siswa SMA Negeri 4 Gorontalo Dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Hots Pada Materi Laju Reaksi

This research aims to determine the achievement of aspects of students' creative thinking skills and the data collection technique for this research uses an essay test with 4 questions, this research is qualitative research, the sample in this research is 100 students of class XI-IPA. The results of the research show that students' creative thinking skills as a whole fall into the quite creative category with an average total percentage of 60%. With the level of students' creative thinking skills in solving High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions on the reaction rate material in the fluency aspect of 58% in the quite creative category, in the flexibility aspect it was 53% in the quite creative category, in the originality aspect it was 70% in the quite good category, and the level of students' creative thinking skills in the elaboration aspect was 59% in the quite creative category.

Pengembangan Instrumen Tes pada Materi Kesetimbangan Kimia Kelas XI Berbasis Android

The development of technology, especially in Information and Communication Technology, is now made easier by the existence of software that can assist in carrying out online assessment activities. Assessment can be carried out by developing an Android-based instrument using learning applications, one of the web learning applications is Wordwall. This research aims to develop an Android-based test instrument for student assessment. The research was conducted at MA Al Ahrom Karangsari Demak. The sample population used was class XI-IPA 2 as many as 25 students with small-scale and large-scale testing. This research is development research (R & D). In development research, the Android-based test instrument in small-scale trials has been validated by expert validators with results of 80.53% or suitable for use. The program trial was carried out by class XI-IPA 2 students at MA Al Ahrom Karangsari Demak with results of 77.45% or suitable for use. Large-scale trials have been validated by expert validators with results of 85.63% or are suitable for use. The program trial was carried out by students at MA Al Ahrom Karangsari Demak with results of 81.82% or suitable for use.

Improving Students’ Reading Comprehension Improving the Students’ Writing Recount Text Ability by Using Think Talk Write and Self-Regulated Strategy Development

Based on research conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Alasa, researchers found that there were several problems in learning to write English faced by students at SMA Negeri 2 Alasa. Students often have difficulty composing a paragraph by writing down their own ideas. Therefore, researchers conducted research entitled "Improving the students' writing recount text ability by using Think Talk Write and Self-Regulated Strategy Development at the eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 2 Alasa North Nias". This research aims to observe the improvement of students' writing skills using Think Talk Write and Self-Regulated Strategy Development, whether there was an improvement in learning outcomes and what strategies were more effectively used between the two strategies. In this research, researcher used classroom action research which is applies treatments to improve learning outcomes that are better than before. From this research, the average pre-test score for class XI-IPS was 52.14% and class XI-IPA was 42.86%. After being given Think Talk Write strategy treatment in class XI-IPS, the average post-test score was 72.35% and in class XI-IPA using Self-Regulated Strategy Development with an average score of 73.57%. From these score, it can be seen that there has been a significant improvement in students' writing abilities, namely 20.21% in class XI-IPS and class XI-IPA 30.71%. Thus, it is concluded that using Think Talk Write and Self-Regulated Strategy Development can improve students' ability in writing recount texts and in this research Self-Regulated Strategy Development is more effective than Think Talk Write strategy.

Identification of Connectivity and Citizenship Ability of Biology Students at SMAN 12 Padang

This study aims to find out how connectivity and citizenship skills are part of the 21st Century 6C skills in biology students. This is important to know because currently students are in the era of revolution 4.0 and will continue to compete with the times, where preparations for the future job market are more focused on soft skills than hard skills. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive research. The sample in this study were students in class XI-IPA with a total sampling technique of 180 people. The instrument used is a questionnaire with a Likert scale. Data collection technique with a closed questionnaire. The data analysis technique is by converting students' raw scores. Based on the research, it was found that the connectivity ability of the students was 81.62% which was included in the "very high" category, while in the citizenship ability the results obtained were 79.70% which were included in the "very high" category . Based on the results of the study it was found that students were able to compete with the times in the future.

THE EFFECT OF LEARNING MODELS PROBLEM SOLVING ON STUDENTS METACOGNITIVE KNOWLEDGE IN CLASS XI IPA SMAN 10 MAKASSAR (STUDY OF ACID BASE MATERIALS)

The aim of this research is to know the influence of learning model problem solving on metacognitive knowledge in class XI IPA SMAN 10 Makassar on acid base material. The research method used is quasi-experimental with a quantitative approach and using posttest-only control group design. The research population is the entire XI IPA class with a total of two classes. Research samples are class XI IPA 6 as an experimental group and class XIIPA 5 as a control group. Data gathering techniques use expression tests to obtain metacognitive knowledge data. Data analysis is done using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of the statistical analysis obtained the average metacognitive knowledge test of the experimental group 71.2 higher than the control group 58.2. The results of inferential statistical analysis of the metacognitive knowledge test results of the students showed that the data of the experimental and control groups came from homogeneous but not normally distributed populations, so the hypothetical test used was the Mann-Whitney test. From the data the results of the analysis show Zhitung (4.51) > Ztable. (1.64). Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the learning model Problem Solving on the metacognitive knowledge of students of grade XI High School State 10 Makassar on the acid base material.

INCREASING STUDENT’S ABILITY IN WRITING ARGUMENTATIVE TEXT THROUGH CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING APPROACH (CTL)

The purpose of this study was to increasing students’ ability in writing argumentative text in class XI-IPA 4 SMAN 18 Makassar through contextual teaching and learning approach (CTL). This study used the method of qualitative. The research subjects were students of class XI-IPA 4 SMAN 18 Makassar in the odd semester in the academic year 2022/2023 with a sample of 36 students. Data collection is done by giving the task of writing argumentative text. The research data collected through the test showed that the students’ ability in writing argumentative text was increasing through contextual teaching and learning approach. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be seen that the student’s result in pre-test is 51.94 then after getting treatment the students’ post-test increase to 70.56 in pre-test. So, it can be concluded that using the contextual teaching and learning approach can increase students’ ability in writing argumentative text.

Pengaruh Penggunaan Smartphone Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas Pada Pelajaran Fisika

The use of smartphones as learning media is a new method that can be used by teachers in the learning process. This study aims to determine the effect of using smartphones as learning media on student learning outcomes in physics lessons at SMAN 3 Seunagan. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest-only control group design. The population in this study were all students of class XI-IPA which amounted to 2 classes. The sample in this study was taken using a total sampling technique, namely the number of samples equal to the total population of 40 students. Data collection techniques used are test and questionnaire techniques. The results obtained are based on data analysis that has been carried out using two-party t-test, then the value of the t-test > t table is 26.08 > 1,684. So that according to the hypothesis, that is, if the value of t arithmetic > t table, then the area H0 is rejected and the area H1 is accepted, and it can be concluded that there is an effect of using smartphones as learning media on student learning outcomes in physics lessons at SMA Negeri 3 Seunagan. The use of smartphones as learning media also received a good response from students.Keywords: Smartphones, Learning Outcomes, Physics Lessons.

HUBUNGAN MINAT, SELF EFFICACY, DAN KEMAMPUAN DASAR MATEMATIKA PESERTA DIDIK DENGAN KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH

This study aims to examine the relationship between the factors that affect students' problem abilities, namely interests, self-efficacy, and basic mathematical abilities. The form of research used is original research. The sample consisted of 90 students of class XI-IPA at SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Raya, and the research instruments used were questionnaires and description questions. The data obtained were then processed with the SPSS application, as follows: 1) interest contributed 0,42% in problem-solving skills 2) the relationship of self-efficacy contributed 32,02% in problem ability 3) the relationship between basic mathematical abilities contributed 63,96 % in the ability to handle problems 4) the relationship of interest, self-efficacy, and basic mathematical abilities together contributes 96,40% to the problem management ability, so there are two factors that relate to or affect problem ability while the other factor is not related . The coefficient of determination for these three factors is 40.1%, while the rest is seen by other factors. In general, there is a significant relationship between interests, self-efficacy, basic mathematical abilities and problem problem abilities. This research is expected to be a reference to improve the factors that affect the problem solving ability of students.

Pengembang modul berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) terintegrasi literasi sains pada materi laju reaksi kimia

This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) research that aims to develop a problembased learning (PBL) module integrated with science literacy on reaction rate materials. The subject of this study is an integrated PBL-based module of science literacy. The object of this study is the material of the Chemical Reaction Rate. This study refers to the steps, Borg and Gall but is limited to 5 steps or stages. The steps begin with data and information collection, PBL-based module development planning, initial product development, initial field trials, and revision of trial results. The modules that have been developed are validated by 3 material expert validators and 3 media expert validators. Then, the module was tested on 2 teachers and class XI-IPA 2 students totaling 30 students of SMA Negeri 7 Medan. Meanwhile, to see the attractiveness of the module, a data collection method was carried out using a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The results showed that the PBL-based module integrated science literacy on chemical reaction rate materials declared eligible after validation by obtaining an average percentage of material experts of 84.63% with a valid / feasible category and an average percentage of media experts of 84.41% with a valid / feasible category. And it was declared interesting after obtaining an average percentage of teacher responses of 93.45% with a very interesting category and an average percentage of student responses of 86.77% with a very interesting category.

Implementation of guided inquiry learning model to train students' critical thinking skills on reaction rate topic

This research describes students’ critical thinking skills by implementing guided inquiry learning models in matter reaction rate, including the syntax implementation of guided inquiry learning models, student activities, critical thinking skills, and cognitive learning outcomes. Students in class XI-IPA 4 SMA Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Surabaya were the study’s subjects. This study uses a pre-experimental design with a One-Group Pretest Posttest Design. The data obtained were analyzed using quantitative analysis methods. It can be concluded that (1) 2 meetings showed an average percentage of 88.84% and 94.64%, which is included in the very good criteria. (2) Relevant students’ activities that appear in the learning process in meetings 1 and 2 respectively 86.67%, 93.33%, and irrelevant activities that appear in the learning process in meetings 1 and 2 respectively 13.33% and 6.67%. (3) The average value of N-gain on the interpretation indicator of 0.80 (high), analysis of 0.81 (high), inference of 0.72 (high), and explanation of 0.86 (high) indicates that students’ critical thinking skills have improved. (4) Students’ cognitive learning outcomes show that 27 of 32 students completed or 84.37%, and five students did not complete or 15.63%.

STUDENTS' PERCEPTION AND MOTIVATION TOWARD ENGLISH THROUGH GOOGLE MEET TO THE ELEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS ATSMA PRESTASI PRIMA ACADEMIC YEAR 2020/2021

Along with the development of science, learning English is very important for students to master orlearn. However, with the COVID-19 outbreak, learning activities are carried out at home using theGoogle Meet media. This study aims to determine students' perceptions and motivations towardsEnglish through google meet in class XI students of SMA Prestasi Prima for the academic year2020/2021. This type of research is descriptive qualitative data taken from 30 students of class XIIPA 1. Data collection techniques using observation, questionnaires, and interviews. Then theresearch instrument used field notes, questionnaire sheets, and cellphones, and the Whatsappapplication. Then analyze the data using data reduction data, display the data, and conclude. Theresults of this study are presented descriptively. Then this study found that the perception ofstudentslearning English through Google Meet was quite good. However, students experience obstacles inonline learning, such as difficulties understanding the material, network disturbances, and internetdata packages that run out quickly. While students' motivation to take part in online learning is quitegood, this can be seen from the way studentsthink they are still diligent in doing assignments andrepeating material that has not been understood. However, some students are not enthusiastic aboutlearning English through google meet. This can be seen from the attitude of students who are lazy tostudy because theyhave a lot of assignments and feel bored with the assignments given repeatedly

THE USE OF PHET SIMULATION ON PHYSICS CHAPTER WAVE AND VIBRATION IN 3T REGION

Learning to use PhET as a virtual laboratory can improve students’ understanding of abstract concepts or material that is difficult to experiment in a real laboratory. The purpose of this local service activity is to conduct training for teachers and students at SMAN 1 Nimboran, Jayapura Regency. This is to find out how the implementation of the PhET Simulation learning media in the 3T region which stands for terdepan (frontier), terpencil (remote), and tertinggal (disadvantaged) in Indonesia. This service activity was attended by physics teachers and students of class XI-IPA at SMAN 1 Nimboran, Jayapura Regency. The method of this activity is carried out in the form of virtual laboratory training through PhET Simulation, face-to-face/offline at SMAN 1 Nimboran. The success of this training program for teachers and students can be seen from the enthusiasm and attainment of skills to use PhET Simulation smoothly. Students better understand the concepts of vibration and waves through simulation. The plan for the next stage of this service activity is to follow up for other subjects and 3T area.

The Effectiveness of The Online Learning Medium Google Classroom on The Learning Outcome

This research aims to describe the effectiveness of the online learning medium Google Classroom on the learning outcome of the subject German of the students at the XI-IPA 3 class SMA Negeri 3 Ambon. This research was carried out at the SMA Negeri 3 Ambon and the sample was twenty German learners from class XI-IPA 3 SMA Negeri 3 Ambon, academic year 2020/2021. This research has two variables, namely the learning media Google Classroom as a free variable and the learning outcome of the subject German as a bound variable. The method used in this research was experiment. The data of this research were determined through a questionnaire and learning outcome through a test (pre-test and post-test). The data from the questionnaires were processed with the Likert scale and then analyzed using the analysis technique “descriptive percentages of the questionnaires”. The data processing result showed that there was 71.62% in the “good” category. The learning results were then checked with the t-test and the result of the data processing showed that the value t calculation is greater than t table (t calculation: 16.96 ˃ 2.86 t table). That means that there is a difference between pre- and post-test in this result. The use of the learning medium Google Classroom is thus effective in helping German learners achieve better German learning results. Based on the result, it is suggested that this learning medium should use Google Classroom in German lessons

Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah Terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Logis Matematis Siswa pada Materi Program Linier

This research aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning model on student’s mathematical logical thinking abilities and the amount of it. To achieve the goals, this research used post-test only control group design. This research was held in class XI-IPA of SMAN 1 Sekotong and consist of 60 students which divided into two classes. By considering the post-test only control group design which requires a control group and the experimental group, used saturated sampling technique that took the whole population as the sample. The members of the population were all students of class XI-IPA of SMAN 1 Sekotong which divided into two classes XI-IPA 1 and XI-IPA 2. The instruments were used to measure the student’s logical thinking ability consist of four description. The measurement of the logical thinking ability was measured after the implementation of problem-based learning for four times. The level of compliance to the learning model was measured by observation of student and teacher activity sheets. The results of data analysis using t-test showed that problem-based learning have a significant influence on the mathematical logical thinking ability. Those results were showed by the increasing of mathematical logical thinking ability in each meeting. The analysis using the effect-size gave the result of the d value of 1,60 which means the application of problem-based learning have a high influence to the student’s mathematical logical thinking ability.

Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematika Siswa Di Kelas XI-IPA SMA Islam Al-Ulum Terpadu Medan

The aim of this research is (1) to know the implementation strategy of Problem Based Learning (PBL) that is used to improve mathematically ability students in the Linear Progamming (2) to know the increasing of mathematically ability students in the Linear Progamming in class XI-IPA SMA Islam Al-Ulum Terpadu Medan T.A 2016/2017 after the implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL) material Linear Progamming in class XI-IPA SMA Islam Al-Ulum Terpadu Medan T.A 2016/2017. Subjects in this research were students of class XI-IPA SMA Islam Al-Ulum Terpadu Medan T.A 2016/2017 totaling 38 students and the object of this study is used to improve mathematically ability students in the Linear Progamming in class XI-IPA SMA Islam Al-Ulum Terpadu Medan T.A 2016/2017. The research instrument used is observation, tests and documentation. From the test mathematically ability results, it can be concluded that the implementation strategy of Problem Based Learning (PBL) that is used to improve mathematically ability students in the Linear Progamming in class XI-IPA SMA Islam Al-Ulum Terpadu Medan T.A 2016/2017.

The Effect of Search, Solve, Create and Share Learning Models to Improve Students 'Critical Thinking Skills on Acid and Basic Titration Materials

This study aims to determine the improvement of students 'critical thinking skills in the acid-base titration material and to know the description of students' responses to learning to search, solve, create, and share. This study used an experimental method, comparing the experimental group with the control group through the pretest-posttest design, carried out at MAN 1 Aceh Barat. The sample selection used purposive sampling technique. The study population was class XI-IPA for the 2019/2020 school year and the samples were class XI-IPA2 (experimental group) and XI-IPA6 (control group). Data collection was carried out by giving a pretest and posttest to determine the increase in critical thinking skills. The results showed that the experimental group had an increase in the critical thinking component focusing on indicator questions with an average N-gain percentage of 74.58% in the high category, while other critical thinking components experienced an increase in the moderate category. Based on the t test, the posttest value of the experimental and control groups has a significant difference with tcount 2.107> ttable 2.093. This difference is influenced by the search, solve, create, and share model of the acid-base titration material in the experimental group. Students gave positive responses to learning to search, solve, create, and share with a percentage of 81.7% with the interested category. So, it is concluded that learning the search, solve, create, and share model can improve students' critical thinking skills on acid-base titration material

Mathematical reasoning in problem-solving in three dimensions

This research is a qualitative study, where the purpose of this study is to describe the form of student reasoning in solving three-dimensional problems. To establish a research class, namely students of class XI-IPA who have studied Geometry material, especially Dimension Three, then conducts an analyzed test to determine the subject to be selected in the study. The number of research subjects to be selected are 3 people (high-ability subjects (ST), medium-capable subjects (SS), and low-ability subjects (SR). The research process followed the stages: Reasoning students in solving three dimensional problems with the indicators are: 1) Understanding the Problem; 2) Devising a Plan; 3) Carrying Out the Plan; 4) Looking Back.

UPAYA MEMPERBAIKI MISKONSEPSI DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS XI-IPA1 SMAN 2 BAU-BAU MELALUI PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN ICI (INTERACTIVE CONCEPTUAL INSTRUCTION) BERBANTUAN LKS BERBASIS LINGKUNGAN

An understanding of nature and the environment is one of the initial capital to meet future life, which all depend on the findings and breakthroughs in science and technology. This study aims to improve the misconceptions and physics learning outcomes of class XI-IPA students through the application of an environment-based worksheet based ICI learning. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. Implementation study consisted of two cycles of cycle one and cycle 2 with stages in each cycle of planning, action, observation, evaluation, and reflection. The research subjects were students of class XI-IPA Senior High School of 2 Bau-Bau with a total of 35 students. Research instruments and data collection techniques consisted of misconception tests, learning outcomes tests, psychomotor observation sheets, and affective observation sheets—data analysis technique using descriptive analysis of quantitative and qualitative consisting of completeness in classical analysis. The study showed that an increase in the learning outcomes of cycle one and cycle 2 in terms of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. While on a review of misconceptions changes from cycle 1 to cycle 2. So it can be said that ICI model can reduce student misconceptions and can improve student learning outcomes.

Pengaruh Pemberian LKS Latihan Soal Terstruktur Terhadap Pemahaman Konsep Isomer Senyawa Hidrokarbon Pada Siswa Kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 4 Palangka Raya Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh pemberian LKS latihan soal terstruktur terhadap pemahaman konsep isomer senyawa hidrokarbon pada siswa kelas XI-IPA SMA Negeri 4 Palangka Raya tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Pretest Posttest Control Group Design dan melibatkan sebanyak 56 siswa dari dua kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 4 Palangka Raya sebagai sampel yang ditentukan dengan teknik Cluster random sampling, yaitu siswa kelas XI IPA-1 (kelas eksperimen) sebanyak 29 orang siswa dan siswa kelas XI IPA-2 (kelas kontrol) sebanyak 27 orang siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa soal tes pemahaman konsep C-1 yang dimuat dalam tes I, tes II, LKS latihan soal terstruktur dan LKS latihan soal. Data tes I diperoleh setelah pembelajaran langsung dan data tes II diperoleh setelah pembelajaran menggunakan LKS latihan soal terstruktur dan LKS latihan soal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian LKS latihan soal terstruktur berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep isomer senyawa hidrokarbon pada siswa kelompok bawah kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 4 Palangka Raya tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Rata-rata pemahaman konsep siswa kelas eksperimen (85,60) lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol (59,25). LKS latihan soal terstruktur memberikan pengaruh terhadap siswa kelompok bawah dan siswa kelompok atas.
