Implementation of Limited Face-to-face Learning Policy in the New Normal Era of the Covid-19 Pandemic

All countries affected by the Covid-19 pandemic are currently adapting so that the pandemic does not have a much worse impact on all aspects of life. People definitely have to adapt to new habits in the order of their activities, not least in the world of education. The Minister of Education through Joint Decision of 4 Ministers lowered the policy on Limited Face-to-face Learning in the New Normal Era. Each education unit has its own challenges in implementing policies regarding education in the era of adapting new habits. This study aims to analyze the policy of Limited Face-to-face Learning Implementation in the New Normal Era at the Ciamis District Elementary School and its implementation. The method used for this research is descriptive qualitative. The research was conducted at the State Elementary School in Ciamis District. The key informant at each school was the Class Teacher who carried out Limited Face-to-face Learning Activities during the New Normal. The research in instruments used were field observations, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the Limited Face-to-face Learning policy in the New Normal era at the State Elementary School in Ciamis District had been successfully implemented, although there were several factors that needed to be improved and re-evaluated. The implementation of the Limited Face-to-face Learning process at public elementary schools in Ciamis District can be carried out through various school policies that are carried out explicitly through the preparation of facilities and infrastructure that must be prepared for limited face-to-face learning and preparing a curriculum for special conditions to facilitate teachers in conducting effective learning.

Training and Feasibility Study of Oyster Mushroom Cultivation at Ganda Mandiri Farmer Group in Sukamanah Village, Ciamis Regency

Oyster mushroom cultivation is one solution in improving the community's economy, in mushroom cultivation it is necessary to pay attention to various things that support the success of its production. The success of the production of seeds and baglog of oyster mushrooms is an indicator of feasibility in this business. Success in the production can be observed from the amount of production that is quite a lot by minimizing the risk of failure. The parameters of the feasibility or success of the business require a cost analysis that is appropriate and appropriate to the conditions and needs. One of the farmer groups that carry out this mushroom cultivation business is the independent double group Sukamanah village, Ciamis district. The purpose of this community service is to increase understanding and skills in mushroom cultivation and determine the feasibility of oyster mushroom cultivation from independent dual farmer groups. The method used is the interview method and direct observation of the business activities carried out. The results of the counseling and training of this group experienced an increase in skills, especially in making seeds. This farmer group can produce as many as 7200 baglogs within 4 weeks. The result of the analysis of the R/C ratio is 2.51 . The results of the cost analysis can be used as an indicator of the feasibility of a business, and the oyster mushroom cultivation business carried out at Ganda Mandiri is said to be feasible and profitable.

Spiritual Care pada Orang Dengan HIV/AIDS (ODHA) untuk Mencegah Persepsi Citra Diri Negatif

Introduction: Prevent the perception of negative self-image in people lived with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) and increase positive self-image. The method used is by providing education through the Telenursing method. The final result achieved in this community service is to prevent the perception of negative self-image in PLWHA. Objective: Implementation of spiritual care for PLWHA to prevent the perception of negative self-image. Method: This community service uses an educational method that is carried out by telenursing. Researchers used observation sheets as a pre-implementation evaluation in the form of a scale of knowledge, perceptions, beliefs, moral views, beliefs, and attitudes. Telenursing is the use of technology as a method of providing long-distance health services so that patients and nurses do not need to meet face-to-face. This community service research is divided into 4 stages. Namely Environmental surveys and targets, Preparation of facilities and infrastructure, Implementation of community service education, and Evaluation. This activity was attended by 10 respondents under the auspices of the association of HIV/AIDS prevention activities in Ciamis Regency. Result: The results of spiritual care for PLWHA to prevent the perception of negative self-image as a form of implementing community service for 10 PLHAs in the Ciamis district show that it does not provide significant results because there are other inhibiting factors such as support and negative community stigma in the community. people living with HIV. Conclussion: Spiritual care has a positive impact on various parties, especially people with HIV/AIDS. Improved self-image is not only created from internal factors but must also be supported by various parties. Community service activities held regarding spiritual care for people with HIV/AIDS to prevent the perception of a negative self-image received a good response from PLWHA.

Modeling Dengue Fever by using Conditional Autoregressive Bessag-York-Mollie

Dengue fever is a tropical disease caused by the dengue virus. The small proportional of this dengue fever disease can develops into a more severe dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF). This research discussed about the model for disease mapping in Ciamis District. The purpose of this research is to characterize relative risk and factors correlated with case DHF. Independent variables used in this research are population density, attitude of region, and the number of health worker. To analysis this data, we used conditional autoregressive Bessag-York-Mollie (CAR-BYM) model. Based on descriptive statistic, the maximum and minimum DHF cases are Ciamis and Sukamantri, respectively. Furthermore, basedon model results, we found that the maximum and minimum relative risk are Cijeungjing and Sukamantri, respectively. Furthermore, there were 7 sub districts which relative risk are greater than one and 20 sub districts which relative risk are less than one. The sub districts which relative risk are greater than one show that DHF cases in these sub districts are greater than expectation. Based on the CAR-BYM model result showed that Each increase the population density by one unit contributes to the addition of DHF cases by 0.0012 units. Each additional health worker one unit, it will reduce the number of DHF cases by 0.0675 units. Each additional altitude of one unit will reduce the number of dengue cases by 0.0011 units. Based on relative risk (RR) value of the CAR-BYM model we found that the Cijengjing and Ciamis Districts have darkest color. The RR values in the two sub-districts are 3,449 and 3,240, respectively. The RR values of the two sub-districts are more than expected values.

Implementation of Cooperative Learning Methods in Improving Reading Comprehension

Background: Taggart consists of one cycle of one action, which begins with planning, action, observation, and reflection. This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2017/2018 academic year, namely in October 2017. The subjects of this research were students of class X Catering Services (JB) SMK Negeri 1 Ciamis, totaling 31 people. The object of research is students' reading comprehension.
 Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the Cooperative Learning Method in teaching reading comprehension, especially reading Factual Report texts to Class X Catering (JB) students at SMK Negeri 1 Ciamis, Ciamis District, Ciamis Regency, 2017/2018 Academic Year.
 Methods: This study uses qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. Quantitative methods were used to analyze the data on students' reading test results (pre-test and post-test) which could be used to analyze statistical data on descriptive text learning materials. While the qualitative method was used to analyze data from observations, student questionnaires, and interviews. The data obtained from quantitative and qualitative methods are then compared and matched to obtain the conclusions from the research.
 Results: This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) and the design of this research refers to Kemmis and Mc. Taggart's model consists of one cycle of one action, which begins with planning, action, observation, and reflection. This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2017/2018 school year, namely in October 2017.
 Conclusion: The results showed that the Cooperative Learning Method could improve students' reading skills, especially in factual report texts.

Ketahanan pangan sebagai deteminan kejadian stunting pada anak usia 2-3 tahun di Kabupaten Ciamis-Jawa Barat

Determinant of stunting in children 2-3 aged years in Ciamis District West Java ProvinceBackground: The prevalence of stunting in Indonesia is still high (at 37,2%), while in the province of West Java is at 35,8%. Household food security is one of the indirect causes of the nutritional problems. Aspects of food security in the form of food availability and access to food are related in a household that affects the aspect of the level of food consumption in every household or individual that is not being met. Objective: The study aims to analyze whether household food security was the determinant of stunting in children aged 2-3 years in Ciamis Districts. Methods: This was an observational study with a case-control design. Subjects in this research are households. Information from a total of 349 households, i.e. 168 had stunted and 181 without stunted children, were collected. Respondents consisted of mothers, fathers, and children aged 2-3 years in Ciamis District. Subjects were selected using quota sampling. Data were analyzed using t-test and logistic regression. Results: Food availability, food access, energy, and protein consumption were not associated with stunting (p>0,05). There were significant differences between the average height (Z-score) of children based on the father's height, the mother's height, and the mother's education level (p<0,05). Breastfeeding, initial formula feeding, father's education level, and a large number of families were not associated with stunting (p> 0,05). Conclusion: This study observed that household food security was not the determinant of stunting. After controlling for potential confounders, the children's heights were independently associated with parental heights and maternal education.

English Teacher’s Voices for Teaching Writing by Self–Regulated Strategy Development in ERT Amidst Pandemic


 
 
 The present study explores how English teachers' experiences and perspectives at Islamic secondary school level in implementing Self-Regulated Strategy Development (SRSD) method in teaching and learning process of writing class, especially in Emergency Remote Teaching amidst Covid-19 pandemic in Ciamis district, West Java, Indonesia. The study dealt with 20 responses from a questionnaire and six randomly chosen participants to gain interview data to dig their perspectives and experiences toward the teaching and learning process. The findings indicate that they are pedagogically still unfamiliar with the addressed method for regular and virtual meetings, especially emergency remote teaching. Practically, their comprehensions of self-regulated strategy input have already gotten along their academic setting; unfortunately, they have not implemented the strategy yet in classroom activities. From these findings, it is recommended to carry out professional development in the use of the SRSD in teaching and simultaneously by media development to apply it in the writing class for achieving effective and meaningful class.

ORGANIZATIONAL CLIMATE ANALYSIS AND PERFORMANCE ON JOB SATISFACTION OF MEDICAL AND MEDICAL PERSONNEL AT THE REGIONAL GENERAL HOSPITAL OF CIAMIS DISTRICT

This study aims to examine how the influence of organizational climate and performance on the job satisfaction of medical workers and medics at the Ciamis District General Hospital. The research uses quantitative research methods and refers to the theory of organizational climate and performance, which has six aspects: structure, standards, responsibility, rewards, support, commitment, and other items ranging from work accuracy, job reviews, etc. The population of this study were employees at the Tasikmalaya and Banjar City General Hospitals. A sample of 98 respondents was taken using proportional random sampling. They were collecting data using a questionnaire designed by the needs of research and observation. The results of this study indicate that the organizational climate and performance have a significant influence on the job satisfaction of medical workers and medics at the Ciamis District General Hospital. On the other hand, the dimensions of the structure, the dimensions of standards and the dimensions of commitment have no significant effect on the job satisfaction of medical workers and medics at the Ciamis District General Hospital. The organizational climate, especially human resources, is still limited at the Ciamis District General Hospital, showing the strength displayed by medical personnel and medical staff, where medical personnel can display ways and strategies in building structure, responsibility, support, commitment with all their subordinates, especially helping provide more effective care for all patients.

Assistance for waste data management applications and Smart Drop Box as waste bank digitization tools

Based on data from the National Waste Management Information System (SIPSN) that in the 2018-2019 period the population in the Ciamis district was 1,401,423 people, resulting in a fairly large amount of waste generation, around 78,173 tons/day. The amount of waste transported to landfills (TPA) is only 3,327 tons/day. This shows that only 4% of waste has been managed properly in Ciamis Regency, while the remaining 96% has not been handled properly. Therefore, the team of community service (PkM) Telkom University together with Ciamis Regency work together to increase the capacity and capability of the Waste Bank in managing waste digitally through the application of information technology and the Internet of Things. From the results of the usability survey, a score of 64.12 was obtained, which indicates that in the use of the application, better development is still needed, because most people still need assistance in using the application and still need to get used to using the application. This can be anticipated by providing more intense assistance, both directly/offline and online, such as socialization using an online meeting platform. However, feedback on PkM activities given to the community received a percentage of 97.64%, which stated that this activity was accepted by the community and hoped that this program in the future would be in accordance with the needs of the community.

Permainan Ular Tangga untuk Edukasi Disiplin Membuang Sampah

Introduction: Instilling awareness to maintain a clean environment can be instilled from an early age. The application or delivery of health promotion can use game media because students can more easily understand, not experience boredom in delivering the material. Health education media that can be applied to school children are like the snake and ladder game. Objective: To implement snake and ladder games on increasing students' knowledge in disposing of waste. Method: Health promotion research is used in PHBS education methods and demonstrations of disposing of waste according to its type with game media in the form of snakes and ladders. This Health Promotion was carried out with 8 students who were at SDN 3 Linggasari, Ciamis District, Ciamis Regency with a total of 25 children as respondents and accompanied by a homeroom teacher. Health Promotion is carried out through 4 stages, namely 1) selection of targets and places, 2) preparation of facilities and infrastructure, 3) implementation of activities, 4) evaluation. Result: The implementation of health promotion for students of SDN 3 Linggasari Ciamis on Clean and Healthy Living Behavior about Disposing of garbage according to its type produced less significant results because previously students of SDN 3 Linggasari Ciamis rarely applied it so that there were still students who could not distinguish between organic and non-organic types of waste, and dispose of waste improperly. Conclusion: This activity can increase children's knowledge about the purpose of disposing of waste, the benefits of disposing of waste in its place, the positive and negative impacts of throwing garbage in its place, as well as steps for disposing of waste correctly. In its implementation in the field, teachers and children at SDN 3 Linggasari Ciamis gave a positive response and high enthusiasm in participating in counseling and simulations of disposing of waste according to its type.

Assistance and Education of Community Perception Related to Covid-19 Vaccine in Benteng Kelurahan, Ciamis District, Ciamis Regency

At the beginning of 2020, the whole world was shocked by the outbreak of a new virus, namely the corona virus which was suspected to be a new type of SARS COV-2. The Indonesian government has made various efforts to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic, including plans to provide a Covid-19 vaccine, but the public's main concern is on the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine, and whether the vaccine will be considered halal. Therefore, according to the review above, the researcher wants to carry out community service related to the perception of the covid-19 vaccine in the Benteng Village in order to have access to accurate information about the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine. This community service method is counseling and assistance to partners. The results of the activity showed that the community was very enthusiastic about participating in the Covid-19 vaccine counseling according to an Islamic view which contained information about the vaccine program, safety, halalness and effectiveness of the Covid-19 vaccine and actively participated in discussions and Q&A with companions. In conclusion, the Covid-19 Vaccine health education can increase public knowledge about the Covid-19 vaccine according to the Islamic view

The Institutional Capacity Strengthening Model By The Village-Owned Business Entities (BUM Desa) In The District of Ciamis

The establishment of BUM Desa is expected to be one of the efforts to increase the rural area and community income. Therefore, it is the time for the presence of the village to get serious attention from the central government with the compliance of policies related to economic empowerment carried out by collecting and institutionalizing community economic activities. In this case, the government applies a new approach that is expected to be able to stimulate and move the economy wheel in villages by the establishment of economic institutions that are fully managed by the village communities as Village-Owned Entities (BUM Desa). The object of this research is the Department of Community and Rural Area Empowerment (DPMD) of Ciamis District and BUM Desa which are spreaded around the district of Ciamis in which as many as 198 BUM Desa. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a case study approach, the organization will obtain complete and in-depth data as well as credible and relevant so that the research objectives can be achieved, in order to understand the process or case in depth about the institutional capacity strengthening model by Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUM Desa) in the district of Ciamis. The conclusion: 1. The implementation of institutional strengthening model by BUM Desa in the district of Ciamis is not yet fully effective since there are still some of BUM Desa that are still not optimal in developing their organizations, for instance the compliance of BUM Desa does not so evolve in terms of planning, controlling, monitoring and coordinating; 2. There are factors that weaken BUM Desa in the district of Ciamis, including the framework preparation system of BUM Desa has not fully clarified the roles of each implementer. Thus, there is still duplication in terms of the division of tasks, responsibilities, and authorities among the head of business entities. Furthermore regarding organization, efforts to unite various partial goals into one common goal have not been fully implemented, and this has resulted in collaboration between business units and cross-village are not running effectively, especially efforts to draft AD/ART which is used as a reference. Each of the heads is not in accordance with the principles of good, effective and efficient BUM Desa management; and 3. Found a model that can be used effectively to strengthen BUM Desa in the district of Ciamis, can be said as a model that refers to: System, Organization and Individual.

Digital Pocketbook Increase Mother's Knowledge about Covid-19 Transmission Prevention

Mothers and infants are at an increased risk of COVID-19 transmission. One of the preventive efforts that can be done is to use technology as a medium for health promotion, namely digital pocketbooks. Digital pocketbooks in accordance with the conditions of the COVID-19 Pandemic, where there is a policy of transmission efforts by limiting interaction and staying away from crowds. To determine the effect of using a digital pocketbook on a mother’s knowledge about reducing COVID-19 transmission to pregnant women, new mothers, postpartum mothers, and newborns. This study is a quasi-experimental study with an uncontrolled, pretest and posttest approach conducted at the Posyandu Tangkolo (Melati 2) in the Ciamis District. The sampling method used was purposive sampling, and a total of 30 samples. The digital pocketbook is given to increase mothers’ knowledge about to raise moms’ awareness of COVID-19 prevention strategies for pregnant women, mothers in labor, postpartum mothers, and infants. Questionnaires were used to measure the mother’s knowledge before and after being given a digital pocketbook. Paired T-test was applied for effect analysis.The results showed that there was a significant effect of digital pocketbooks on mothers’ knowledge about preventing the Covid-19 transmission in pregnant women, mothers giving birth, postpartum mothers, and newborns (p=0.000). Digital books make it easy for mothers to access information without having to leave the house, practically, whenever and wherever they want to open and read them easily.The use of digital pocketbooks can help mothers have a better understanding of how to prevent the transfer of COVID-19 to pregnant women, new mothers, postpartum mothers, and infants. It is recommended that digital pocketbooks can be used as a means to carry out health promotion.

Penyuluhan Kesehatan Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat Melalui Kegiatan Mencuci Tangan Pakai Sabun dengan Media Permainan Tradisional Engklek pada Anak TK ABA Ciamis

Introduction: The spread of disease is generally caused by a lack of knowledge about clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS). Clean and healthy living behavior is a health behavior that can be done consciously so that family members can help themselves in the health sector and can play an active role in health activities in the community. Washing hands with soap is one of the efforts to prevent and protect the body against infectious diseases. The traditional engklek game is one of the games played and favored by children. Objective: Applied in daily activities both within the family and at school to form clean and healthy living behavior in children. Method: The promotion of health research was used in the methods of phbs education and demonstration of Wash your hands using soap and running water and engklek games. This Health Promotion was carried out with 6 students located in ABA Kindergarten, Ciamis District, Ciamis Regency with a total of 43 children as respondents and accompanied by the kindergarten teacher. Health Promotion This is carried out through 4 stages, namely 1) selection of targets and places, 2) preparation of suggestions and infrastructure, 3) implementation of activities, 4) evaluation. Result: implemented of health promotion for children in ABA Ciamis Kindergarten regarding Clean and Healthy Living Behavior about Washing hands with soap and running water produced significant results because previously the children in ABA Ciamis Kindergarten had implemented it so that it became a tradition that was often done and became a habit everyday Conclussion: Through the implementation of the activity "Counseling on How to Wash Hands with Soap at ABA Ciamis Kindergarten" it can be concluded that this activity can increase children's knowledge about the purpose of washing hands, benefits, washing hands, the impact of not washing hands, as well as steps for washing hands. use the right soap. In the implementation in the field, the teachers and children of ABA Ciamis Kindergarten gave a positive response and had high enthusiasm in participating in counseling and simulations of washing hands with soap.

Analisis Bahan Ajar Pembelajaran Kacapi Bani Ambara Pada Mata Pelajaran Seni Budaya Di Sma Negeri 1 Ciamis

In SMAN 1 Ciamis there is learning Art and Culture in which learning the art of traditional music. Where every student must learn to play a typical musical instrument of West Java, Kacapi. SMAN 1 Ciamis is the only high school in ciamis area that learns traditional musical instruments in learning Art and Culture in the classroom, especially in the practice of playing harp instruments using kacapi kawih. Related to Kacapi's learning in Art and Culture subjects at SMAN 1 Ciamis, researchers are interested in researching how materials and teaching materials are arranged by Art and Culture teachers in order to achieve learning objectives. Because Kacapi learning is rarely taught in other public schools. With the hope that the results of this research can motivate other schools to continue to develop learning in arts and culture subjects and can increase knowledge for the field of art education, especially music arts. This research uses descriptor method with qualitative approach. This research was conducted at SMAN 1 Ciamis located at Jalan Gunung Galuh No. 37, Ciamis District, Ciamis Regency, West Java. The data source used is by conducting observations, interviews, documentation studies and literature studies. Then the data will be analyzed using research deepening analysis techniques with steps to reduce data, present data and draw conclusions. Based on the data analysis conducted, it was concluded that the teaching materials in kacapi kawih learning at SMAN 1 Ciamis are in accordance with the curriculum of high school level. And the teaching material of kacapi kawih learning is a learning module with etude kacapi teaching materials made by art and culture teachers with an adaptation of the simplified Etude kacapi Mang Koko.

Analysis of The Effect Of Employee Compensation and Employee Career Development on Employee Performance at The Regional General Hospital of Ciamis District

This research starts from the fundamental problems of low performance of employees at the Ciamis District Regional General Hospital. It thought to have been coming by Employee Compensation and Employee Career Development towards Employee Performance at the Ciamis District Regional General Hospital, not yet implemented. The approach in this study refers to the context of the theory of Employee Compensation and Employee Career Development also Employee Performance as part of the scope of Public Administration. The method of research used an explanatory survey with technical analysis Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), while the population of Ciamis District General Hospital. The results of the study showed the need for further research on the optimization of the increasing influence of Employee Compensation and Employee Career Development on Employee Performance at the Ciamis District Regional General Hospital, viewed from the perspective of Public Administration. This is indicated by the existence of other variables that influence the Employee Performance at the Ciamis District Regional General Hospital.

PENGARUH KEPEMIMPINAN DAN KOMPENSASI TERHADAP DISIPLIN KERJA PEGAWAI (Sensus Pada Perawat ASN RSUD Kabupaten Ciamis)

This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of leadership and compensation on the work discipline of nurses partially and simultaneously. In this study, the sample was drawn using saturated sampling or census, namely all members of the population with a total of 159 ASN nurses at Ciamis District Hospital. Sources of data from secondary and primary. Data collection techniques: 1). field research (field research), namely by observation, interviews, and questionnaires (questionnaire) with a Likert scale, 2). library research, 3). internet research. This research consists of instrument testing with validity and reliability tests. Then descriptive testing was carried out using statistical testing by performing correlation analysis, path analysis, and hypothesis testing (t-test and f-test) using SPSS for Windows software. The results of the study concluded that leadership and compensation have a significant influence on work discipline in nurses at Ciamis District Hospital, either partially or simultaneously

Agricultural value chain financing: a case study in Ciamis District, West Java Province

Smallholding farmers frequently deal with shortage of working capital to cover farm costs. Given the applied terms and conditions, a lot of farmers unable to access the current People’s Business Credit (KUR), while a holistic value chain financial support is required to achieve sustainable food production. Limited capacity of formal rural-based financial institutions encourages the local money lenders to take opportunity of financially support the farmers. In response to this issue, a case study was conducted in Ciamis District, West Java Province. Primary data was collected using an interview technique. Data were organized, processed, an interpreted using a descriptive type of analysis. The study revealed that the rice farmers need an inclusive credit support from pre-planting to post-harvest and marketing of their products. Farmers require working capital to continue their farm activities and to support value chain financing of the agribusiness. Although the existing local micro financial institutions showed good performance, however they lacked fund and access to formal financial institutions such as banks or CSR soft loans. Government is suggested to strengthen the existing local micro financial institutions by linking them to sources of funds and to support business to business relations for better service to smallholding farmers. Inclusive value chain financing implies that farmers, micro financial institutions, and local governments are strongly integrated to achieve better farm performance. Ministry of Agriculture has a strategic role to take initiative to strengthening an inclusive agricultural value chain financing on the existing local micro financial institutions.

Komoditas Unggulan Potensial Jenis Empon-Empon Untuk Meningkatkan Produktivitas Hutan Rakyat Di Ciamis Jawa Barat

Private forest farming has been a new source of family income for farmers in the Ciamis District. However, it has not been could to fully support the living needs of farmer families. Therefore, a strategy is needed to increase the productivity of private forest lands wich can meet the short-term and long-term needs of farmers. This study aims to identify the superior commodity types of empon-empon wich has the potential to increase the productivity of community forest lands. The study desk method was used in this research by utilizing statistical data on the production of biopharma plants in Ciamis Regency and West Java Province. To find out the superior commodities, a Location Quotient analysis approach was used. There were six types of empon-empon that have been cultivated in Ciamis Regency, including Zingiber officinale, Amomum compactum, Kaepferia galanga, Curcuma longa, Alpinia galanga, and Curcuma zanthorrhiza. Amomum compactum types is considered as a potential commodity to be developed on private forest land because it has a comparative advantage with LQ value>1.

Perception Analysis on the Conflict Between Javan Leopard and Community Around Mount Sawal Wildlife Reserve

Mount Sawal Wildlife Reserve is known as one of the places that has the highest number of conflict cases between Javan leopard and human in Indonesia. There were 38 conflict cases recorded in the period of 2001-2016 with the highest number of cases occurring in Kertamandala and Cikupa Villages, Ciamis District, West Java. This study assessed the community perception of those two villages towards the conflict by using Q-method in combination with the R-Studio statistics to analyze the data. There were 19 participants who were tested with 16 consent statements called Q-sorting were ranked based on approval scale. The results showed that the community perceptions of conflict can be grouped into three, namely: 1) the importance to preserve the existence of javan leopards, 2) wildlife conflict management is a shared responsibility between communities and authorities, and 3) in the future, wildlife conflicts must not take place again. In addition, all participants shared consensus that the community do not accept the existence of javan leopard in their village area and they also agreed that conservation authorities have taken actions to deal with the conflict.
