This study explores the influence of the church's role on the development of youth potential based on the text of Matthew 25:14-30 at Bethel Church Indonesia (GBI) Purwokerto City Walk. The study is confined to the Biblical study of Matthew 25:14-30, with research questions encompassing trends in youth potential development, the church's role, the church's influence on youth potential development, and dominant indicators of the church's role. Using a quantitative method, the study involves 100 congregants of GBI PCW, with data collected through questionnaires highlighting the church's role and youth potential development. The findings indicate a positive direction in youth potential development and the church's role, with the church significantly influencing by 26.8%, particularly as a center for mentoring. Recommendations include enhancing church programs and further analysis of unidentified factors. These efforts are expected to enhance the church's effectiveness in supporting holistic growth and development of the youth.

This article examines the role of Christian Religious Education (PAK) in developing 21st century skills among church youth. In an era of constant change, where technology and globalization affect all aspects of life, PAK not only focuses on teaching spiritual and moral values, but also supports the development of skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, effective communication and creativity. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with a focus on literature study. By using this method, research emphasizes the importance of using literature to understand best practices and theories that support the integration of 21st century skills in the context of religious education, thereby enabling church youth to be more adaptive and innovative in dealing with social and technological problems. . dynamics. The results of this research through an integrated approach between theology and practical skills, PAK seeks to equip the younger generation with the tools necessary to succeed and contribute positively in modern society. This article discusses how PAK's curriculum and teaching methods can be adapted to be more relevant to the needs of church youth, preparing them to become leaders and bringers of change in the future. The conclusion from conducting this research is that in facing the challenges of the 21st century, Christian Religious Education (PAK) plays an important role in equipping the young generation of the church with skills that not only support their spiritual growth but also prepare them to become competent and empathetic world citizens.

Assessing the Impact of Technology on Church Services and Youth Engagement

The advent of technology has revolutionized many aspects of human life, including the operation and engagement methods of religious institutions. Historically, church services were confined to physical spaces, limiting congregational engagement to in-person attendance. Traditional worship, involving sermons, hymns, and communal activities, fostered a sense of community and spiritual enrichment. However, declining attendance in traditional settings necessitates the integration of modern digital tools to revitalize worship experiences and engage tech-savvy youth. This study explores the transformative impact of technology on church services, particularly its effectiveness in engaging younger congregants, through a quantitative survey of church leaders, technology experts, and congregants across various denominations. The research examines the adoption and impact of digital innovations such as live-streaming, social media outreach, mobile apps, and multimedia worship formats. Findings highlight enhanced accessibility, participation, and connection, making faith more relevant to younger generations. Challenges such as the potential dilution of spiritual experiences and the digital divide are also identified. Applying the Diffusion of Innovations theory, the study underscores the need for strategic, thoughtful integration of technology that balances modern conveniences with core religious values, bridging generational gaps and ensuring the continued vitality of religious communities in the digital age.

Aksi Plogging Kesadaran Kebersihan Lingkungan Di Balige Oleh P3mi Jemaat Manna Balige

Plogging is an activity that combines jogging with trash collection. In Balige, this activity was carried out by the Balige Methodist Church Youth Fellowship (P3MI) to increase environmental awareness among youth and the surrounding community. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of plogging activities in increasing awareness and maintaining environmental cleanliness. The results show that this activity was successful in collecting around 12 sacks of 50 kg rubbish, increasing participants' awareness about environmental cleanliness, and getting a positive response from the public who saw this action. Recommendations for the sustainability of this activity include regular implementation, involvement of more communities, and educational campaigns about reducing plastic.

The purpose of this research is to find out how the understanding of the Great Commission plays a role in caring for personal evangelism in the youth of Bethel Indonesia Bride Of Christ Church Batam so that the Youth of Bethel Indonesia Church Bride Of Christ Batam have the enthusiasm and courage to carry out personal evangelism as part of the Great Commission. This research is descriptive qualitative research and the resource persons in this research are the Bethel Indonesia Bride Of Christ Batam Church youth who were taken randomly. Research data was collected through in-depth interviews using the coding method. The data obtained was then analyzed using the stages of condensation, data display, drawing conclusions. The research results show that understanding the Great Commission plays a role in caring for personal evangelism in the Bethel Indonesia Bride of Christ Batam Church Youth, which is a natural expression of living Christianity. Jesus Christ is the pioneer of mission itself. God's plan in His eternal sending is to bring transformation and liberation to humans and all of His creation to bring about the eternal kingdom of God. Personal evangelism is an attempt to bring about a breakthrough in the boundaries between faith in Jesus Christ and the absence of it. The form of personal evangelism concern at Bethel Indonesia Bride Of Christ Batam Church Youth is carrying out direct personal evangelism or face to face, via WhatsApp and intensely calling people who are in the process of evangelism. This fact is also supported by the statement of the Bethel Indonesia Bride Of Christ Batam Church Youth who felt a deep bond between themselves and the church and the people who were the targets of personal evangelism.

Youth Empowerment of St. Stefanus Holima (OMK) Catholic Church Through the Processing and Packaging of Sweet Potato Chips

Sweet potatoes in the Papuan Mountains region are very abundant and are sold without any processed variations. It is not uncommon for sweet potatoes to not sell even though the price is relatively cheap and affordable for all levels of society. For this reason, community service activities are carried out through community empowerment in implementing technology for processing and packaging sweet potato chips. The aim of this activity is to provide education to church youth (OMK) in Isakusa village to support increasing the income of church youth, and to support government programs in the agricultural sector. The method of implementing activities starts from determining the location, scheduling, socialization, making chips, and packaging the chips. The results of the training on processing and packaging sweet potato chips received a good response from the young people of St. Catholic Church (OMK). Stefanus Holima Wamena because during training it is not uncommon for the youth involved to show facial expressions that are curious, interested, happy and full of enthusiasm. Some of them said that they were very happy and satisfied with the products they had made and felt motivated to make them independently to sell to local people and local and foreign tourists as a form of home business that could increase their income. They also said that if possible, this kind of activity would be carried out sustainably by processing various types of basic materials which are superior in Wamena in particular and Mountain Papua in general.

Dynamics of Muslim and Catholic Communication in Building a Pluralist Village of Deliksari Semarang

The research aims to find out how the Deliksari Village community fosters the value of pluralism through communication. To gain a more comprehensive understanding, the author conducted field research using a phenomenological approach. To obtain information, the author conducted in-depth interviews with a number of religious figures, community leaders and the public. The results show that the pluralism that developed in Deliksari Village occurred because intense and harmonious communication was built by religious leaders and community leaders and there was no rejection from the community. Everyone works together to understand each other, both Muslim and Catholic communities discuss and deliberate to reach common ground when discussing a problem. In the researchers' findings, parents and religious leaders in the village provide a foundation for their children by involving children in reciting the Koran from an early age, learning prayer practices, and regular recitation for children. Apart from that, children are included in religious activities in the community, such as yasinan-tahlilan, IPNU-IPPNU, routine recitations for each RT, congregational prayers, grand recitations, and others. In major Islamic religious activities, church youth often take part, such as during recitations, etc. The interactions that occur in the Deliksari community are forms of interpersonal, inter-personal and group communication that alternate indirectly and are very intense.

Social Action Youth Church of Central Kalimantan through Churches, Educational institutions and Civil Societies

The background of our research is based on the existence of stigmas in Christian society regarding the fact that present youth, other than being predicted as future leaders, are at the crossroads of searching for participation inside and outside the church. Thus, based on these phenomena, church youth tend to be labeled as critical but feeble community members when dealing with service realities in church and educational institutions. The qualitative research method applied interviews to unearth the research subjects' narratives as a tribute to the youth's silenced voices. The research aimed to show the intertwined journey—both at the beginning, intersection, and turning point of the journey itself—as a citizen of the church as well as a citizen of society who is responsible for their faith. Results of the project showed that church youth were not only involved in school participation but also in church service circles and social actions

Evaluating the effectiveness of youth programs offered by the youth ministry department in character formation in Methodist Church in Kenya-Kaaga Synod

This study evaluated the effectiveness of the youth programs offered by the youth ministry department in character formation in the Methodist Church in Kenya- Kaaga Synod. Bandura’s social learning theory led this study from a sociological point of view. During the study, descriptive Formats were used to collect, analyse, compare and interpret the data. The study targeted five circuits in Kaaga Synod, Meru County The study used random samples to select churches. A sample of youth church members was selected using the proportionate sampling technique. Targeted samples were used for selecting church ministers, youth ministers and church chairpersons as key informants because of their accurate knowledge of church youth issues. The researcher used questionnaires, interview schedules, and focus group discussions to gather the necessary information. Discussions, as well as tables, were used to collect and analyse the data. The findings of this study contributed to the knowledge of religion and morality. The outcome of this study is also beneficial to participants who are policymakers and designers, parents and educators in their efforts to promote youth morals.

ANALISIS PELATIHAN KEPEMIMPINAN PEMUDA GEREJA

Church youth are the future generation of Church leaders, and also as future leaders of the Nation, because of that it is very important for the church to prepare the church's young generation, so that in the future there will be no leadership crisis for the continuity of church stewardship. To prepare the young generation of the church, it is very important to carry out leadership training activities that are oriented towards identity formation both personally and organizationally. This training was carried out to explain the advantages and disadvantages of the Youth Fellowship, the main factors that are the needs of the youth association. As well as finding the final results of the training implementation, after the young generation of the church has attended the training, are there any changes in understanding regarding attendance and togetherness in worship and internal youth activities, then reassess if there are still problems then training needs to be continued in a different way and method. The target of implementing leadership training is oriented towards the Church Youth Fellowship. The method used in this analysis is a qualitative method, by interviewing, observing and using references.

Seminar Kewirausahaan – Identifikasi Keinginan atau Kebutuhan Bagi Persekutuan Pemuda Gereja Toraja (PPGT) Klasis Nonongan Salu

The Toraja Church Youth Fellowship (PPGT) is an inseparable part of the church's organizational structure. PPGT has various work programs designed to foster enthusiasm and direct the young generation to become an independent generation in various aspects. Entrepreneurship seminar activities in the Sub Theme: Identifying Wants or Needs aim to provide financial education for the younger generation so they are able to manage personal finances through self-identification of whether they buy goods because they really need them or just because they want them. This activity is attended by more than ± 25 people. The method used is lecture, discussion and question and answer. The result of this community service activity is that the young generation is able to define what wants and needs are and is able to identify needs or desires in making decisions to purchase a product.

Non-Committed Consumers or Theologically Engaged Ecumenists? Thinking Differently About Church Membership for Young People

Abstract Research about the faith of young people (by which I mean Millennials and Generation Z) has suggested that they are increasingly non-denominational or denominationally fluid, with a method of choosing churches that is in line with neo-capitalist consumerism. This has created a focus of completely reimagining the church to appeal to young people. This paper, by tracing the historical interdenominational and ecumenical student movements, explains that young people tend to understand their denominational identity differently depending on their evangelical or theologically liberal/progressive stance. Yet neither stream alligns to this reductive post-denominational rhetoric that removes ecumenical and theological sophistication from young people. By using the case study of the United Reformed Church Youth (thereafter urc Youth), which consists of a broadly theological and politically liberal group of 14–26-year-olds, I argue that young people are ecumenically aware and value being integrated into larger denominational structures.

SOSIALISASI DAN PELATIHAN PEMBUATAN HANDSANITIZER ALAMI KEPADA KELOMPOK PEMUDA GEREJA

The COVID-19 virus in Indonesia has infected more than 1,600 people, and has caused around two hundreds of deaths in Indonesia and is predicted to continue to grow. The panic that has arisen is the alleged lack of socialization and education in the community. Students who have been equipped with an understanding and logical way of thinking, are felt to be present to contribute ideas to community groups in the form of socialization and training in making natural handsanitizers. The purpose of this activity is to provide training to the youth of the GKPS church Jl. Jend Sudirman Pematangsiantar on how to make a natural handsanitizer which will then be distributed to the congregation. The members of the church youth who participated in this training were quite enthusiastic. This indicates the desire to increase youth's self-ability to improve performance as well as self-competence for entrepreneurship. The results of the training in products will be distributed to the congregation. In addition to these objectives, this activity is expected to generate sensitivity and desire to do business among young people, and show the existence of Simalungun University students in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pelatihan Model Asesmen Pengembangan Karakter Katekisan Bagi Pengajar Katekisasi di Gereja Masehi Injili di Timor (GMIT)

Catechesis in Gereja Masehi Injili di Timor (GMIT) is vital in building the faith of the church youth. The curriculum still needs to be fully developed. Therefore, the assessment only emphasizes the students’ cognitive aspect. In order to support and equip the teachers, community service was held. The purpose of the service was to give them chances to learn more about how to design a proper and holistic assessment in Catechesis. The activity was conducted in three phases: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. After the conference, the participants reflect on their experiences, obstacles, and ideal concept of the character assessment. Overall, they understood the importance of carefully thinking and designing the curriculum appropriately.

YANG MUDA YANG BERKARYA: PENDIDIKAN BAGI GENERASI MUDA PENERUS BANGSA

The purpose of this research is to provide an understanding that dares to be a witness. Don't be afraid to work even though you are still young, it will be the main idea. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method. The result of the research is that in general, young people have a lifestyle that tends to be instant, easily influenced by things around them. The same goes for church youth. The family and community in which he is located also influence his lifestyle. With regard to the matter in one's understanding of it shows a very influential influence on the application of it in life. The purpose of witnessing christianity is so that people may know God, believe in God and even be witnesses also. There are challenges faced when being a witness. The obstacles experienced came from within the person who testified and from outside. Challenges from outside are related to the context of the local community, ethnic differences, and religions that lead to different understandings or concepts about salvation.

20·30대 남성의 개신교 탈신앙 경험에 대한 근거이론 연구

This study was intended to deeply understand the experiences of church youth in their 20s and 30s with Protestant faith in the process of breaking away from faith, and to present a substantive theory in this process. Study participants were recruited according to the intentional sampling method. Announcements were posted on one graduate school community cafe and three or more Internet employment/study portal sites. Among those around the research director who lived a long-term religious life, those in their 20s and 30s who experienced the process of deconversion, a total of 13 males (aged 19 to 39) were recruited through snowball sampling. After that, data collection and analysis were conducted using the grounded theory methodology. As a result of the analysis of open coding, 218 semantic units, 75 subcategories, and 35 categories were derived. It was found that male participants in their 20s and 30s who went through deconversion experienced the central phenomenon of ‘Experiencing pain in gradual cracks’. As a result of the selective coding analysis, it was revealed that the young participants went through the process of ‘Conflict discovery and mediation stage - Isolation and communication inability stage - Conversion and distance stage - Adaptation and averting stage’. As a result of the selective coding analysis, the core category was derived as Faith, once beneficial, but I was not able to become a subject in it, Breaking the shell of faith that did not have a relationship with God and walking my own path.’ The study participants were classified into 4 types including ‘Existentialist atheism type,’ ‘Non-religious spirituality type’, ‘Post-church faith type’, and ‘Involuntary disguise type’. This study explores what young men in their 20s and 30s with Protestant beliefs experience in the process of breaking away from faith and presents a substantive theory to understand the meaning of the experiences of participants from the perspective of counseling and provide basic data for the counseling.

Youth is the hope of the church which should be one of the main concerns in the church. As the future of the church, youth need to be prepared so that they are able to face the challenges of the church in the future. In order to prepare the youth, the practical effort that can be done by the church is spiritual guidance. Spiritual guidance is a Bible-centered coaching and teaching activity. Spiritual guidance is important, considering today's youth are vulnerable and very easily influenced. Starting from this understanding, in carrying out the task of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely Community Service, the author chose church youth as the target of implementing these Community Service activities. The form of service carried out is spiritual guidance for youth through the love of the Bible movement. In carrying out these activities there are three main stages that the author takes starting from the planning, implementation and evaluation stages. Specifically at the implementation stage, the authors apply various methods that involve youth actively participating. As a result of these activities, young people have an awareness of their responsibilities as the baton of the church so that they need to prepare themselves by reading and loving the Bible as a source of truth and Christian teaching.
