The Application of Cosmetic Plastic Arts in Character Shaping from Nanjing Drama "Nala"

For any drama, character modeling design is an extremely important way of lens language expression in addition to the plot content. When designing character modeling, we should not only follow the character characteristics, the environment and the background of the characters, but also comprehensively consider the era of the work and the current interpretation style to meet the diversified aesthetic requirements. For example, realism and freehand brushwork are two common expressions of make-up plastic arts in drama. This paper analyzes the principle of realism and freehand brushwork in the makeup plastic art of Nanjing drama "Nala", and explores the application of its makeup plastic art in the character modeling design.

Handwritten Urdu Characters and Digits Recognition Using Transfer Learning and Augmentation With AlexNet

Automated recognition of handwritten characters and digits is a challenging task. Although a significant amount of literature exists for automatic recognition of handwritten characters of English and other major languages in the world, there exists a wide research gap due to lack of research for recognition of Urdu language. The variations in writing style, shape and size of individual characters and similarities with other characters add to the complexity for accurate classification of handwritten characters. Deep neural networks have emerged as a powerful technology for automated classification of character patters and object images. Although deep networks are known to provide remarkable results on large-scale datasets with millions of images, however the use of deep networks for small image datasets is still challenging. The purpose of this research is to present a classification framework for automatic recognition of handwritten Urdu character and digits with higher recognition accuracy by utilizing theory of transfer learning and pre-trained Convolution Neural Networks (CNN). The performance of transfer learning is evaluated in different ways: by using pre-trained AlexNet CNN model with Support Vector Machine (SVM) classifier, and fine-tuned AlexNet for extracting features and classification. We have fine-tuned AlexNet hyper-parameters to achieve higher accuracy and data augmentation is performed to avoid over-fitting. Experimental results and the quantitative comparisons demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed research for recognition of handwritten characters and digits using fine-tuned AlexNet. The proposed research based on fine-tuned AlexNet outperforms the related state-of-the-art research thereby achieving a classification accuracy of 97.08%, 98.21%, 94.92% for urdu characters, digits and hybrid datasets respectively. The presented methods can be applied for research on Urdu characters and in diverse domains such as handwritten text image retrieval, reading postal addresses, bank’s cheque processing, preserving and digitization of manuscripts from old ages.

Family and Organizational Environment: Character Shaping of Maskani Azizah, Visionary Woman in Tegal City

Maskani Azizah is one of the visionary female figures of Aisyiyah from Tegal City. Even though he lives in a small town, Maskani Azizah's thoughts are very bright, especially regarding the future of the people of Tegal City. The idea of improving the welfare of women and children flows from his mind. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to find out the background of Maskani Azizah, as a woman, who could have visionary thoughts. The research method used is by conducting a literature study related to the character's activities, as well as interviewing the character and people who are related to the good character, friends of the organization, teacher friends, former students, and their families. The results of the study indicate that the family environment and the organizational environment that are followed are what sharpen the social sensitivity and visionary thinking of Maskani Azizah. The conclusion of this study shows that a person's family environment and friendship environment can shape a person's character to be more distinctive.

PENTINGNYA MENANAMKAN PENDIDIKAN NILAI DI INDONESIA DALAM MEMBENTUK KARAKTER

Globalization requires all aspects to be able to adjust, as well as education which is the spearhead in preparing the nation's generation, to realize the challenge of value education is one way in preparing learners, through value education is expected to form the character of the nation needed as an embodiment in facing the challenges of globalization. Aims to be able to provide understanding to the public in general about the importance of instilling value education in children from an early age, so as to influence character formation as an embodiment of value education in the era of globalization, to achieve this the author focuses on the issues that will be discussed in the environment of value education in shaping character and provide a historical view of the history of value education in Indonesia. In an effort to form character through value education that takes place in educational units implemented through four pillars of activities, namely learning and teaching activities in the classroom, character culture activities in everyday in the school environment; develop an interest in talent in co-curricular or extra-curricular activities, as well as character refraction in his daily life at home and community. Comparative Study on Very Similar Jeungdoga Scripts through Image Analysis - Fundamental Difference between Treasure No. 758-1 and Treasure No. 758-2 -

Photographic images of the Samseong-version (三省本: Korea’s Treasure No. 758-1) and the Gongin-version (空印本: Korea’s Treasure No. 758-2) of Nammyeongcheon Hwasangsong Jeungdoga (南明泉和尙頌證道歌: Nanmingquan Song Zhengdaoge) were compared and analyzed to investigate the differences between the two versions. According to a report in 2012 at the time of the designation of the Gongin-version as Korea’s treasure, both versions were printed from the same woodblocks. The Gongin-version is presumed to be a later print than the Samseong-version. The two versions are very similar in format and shape of border lines and characters. It is difficult to determine the differences with the naked eye, even for experts. In this study, based on the printing characteristics observed from each version through image analysis, useful evidence to determine whether it was printed using the same or different woodblocks and the order of printing was collected. As a result of careful image comparison and analysis, we concluded that the Samseong- and the Gongin-version were printed from different woodblocks, or possibly different typesetting. It was difficult to agree with the content of the report that the Gongin-version was a later print than the Samseong-version. In addition, it was noted that the Gongin-version print has characteristics quite different from the typical characteristics of woodblock printing seen in the Samseong-version. Additional investigations and follow-up studies on the printing technology used for Gongin-version print and the timing of printing are recommended.

A Study of Phenomena of Borrowing Sound 借音in the Selection of Strange Tales in Linh Nam (A2914) Archived in the Institute of Sino-Nom Studies

Borrowing sounds is the phenomenon of borrowing the tones of "replaceable characters" to read the sounds of particular Chinese letters. The "Replaceable pseudo-character" is a phenomenon of borrowing homonyms, or words with similar pronunciations to read a certain Chinese character. This is called the borrowed-sound character, and both the original and the borrowed words co-exist. However, in countries in the region where Chinese characters are used such as Vietnam, Japan and Korea, there is also the phenomenon of borrowing the sounds and shapes of Chinese characters to record native languages. By using quantitative statistical methods, interdisciplinary research methods, and an oriented approach to grammatology 文字學 and etymology 語源學, this article will examine the phenomenon of borrowing sounds found in the Linh Nam Chich Quai 嶺南摭怪 (the Collection of the Strange Tales of the Linh Nam Realm) compiled during the Ly-Tran dynasties (XI-XIV centuries). This article provides a comparison of similar phenomena in some Chinese character works and epitaphs of the Ly Tran dynasty in Vietnam and the Nihon ryoiki 日本靈異記 of Japan. It argues that borrowing sounds are a common feature found in the works from these early periods which recorded folktales due to the influence of Han culture, and Vietnamese literature should be not placed outside the general rules of that influence.

Music to My Ears: Developing Kanji Stroke Knowledge through an Educational Music Game

Millions of people worldwide are taking up foreign languages with logographic writing systems, such as Japanese or Chinese. Learning thousands of characters necessary for literacy in those languages is a unique challenge to those coming from alphabetic backgrounds, and sustaining motivation in the face of such a momentous task is a struggle for many students. Many games exist for this purpose, but few offer production memory practice such as writing, and the vast majority are thinly veiled flashcards. To address this gap, we created Radical Tunes—a musical kanji-writing game—which combines production practice with musical mnemonic by assigning a melody to each element of a character. We chose to utilize music as it is a powerful tool that can be employed to enhance learning and memory. In this article, we explore whether incorporating melodies into a kanji learning game can positively affect the memorization of the stroke order/direction and overall shape of several Japanese characters, similar to the mnemonic effect of adding music to text. Specifically, we conducted two experimental studies, finding that (1) music improved immersion—an important factor related to learning; and (2) there was a positive correlation between melody presence and character production, particularly for more complex characters.

Analysis of BBM solitary wave interactions using the conserved quantities

In this paper, a simple, robust, fast and effective method based on the conserved quantities is developed to approximate and analyse the shape, structure and interaction characters of the solitary waves described by the Benjamin–Bona–Mahony (BBM) equation. Due to the invariant character of the conserved quantities, there is no need to solve the related complex nonlinear partial differential BBM equation to simulate the interactions between the solitary waves at the most merging instance. Good accuracy of the proposed method has been found when compared with the numerical method for the solitary wave interactions with different initial incoming wave shapes. The conserved quantity method developed in this work can serve as an ideal tool to benchmark numerical solvers, to perform the stability analysis, and to analyse the interacting phenomena between solitary waves.

THE IMPACT OF SINGLE-PARENT FAMILIES’ SOCIAL VULNERABILITIES ON CHILDREN

The current work describes the single-parent family in theory from the perspective of the vulnerable social group, which requires state intervention for protection and specialized and adapted support. The characteristics of social vulnerability and the types of vulnerabilities are being presented synthetically in order to identify the vulnerability of the social group of the single-parent family. Among elements of vulnerability of the single-parent family a special presentation is given to those that negatively impact the shaping of children character educated amidst such groups, as they emerge from the specialized studies on the matter. We are aiming the low academic achievement of such children, more prevalent criminal behaviour, integration problems in the school environment and in the students’ group, features that may be influenced by the absence of a parent, by financial and emotional problems of family members. The single-parent family stands for a social unit with a more and more prevalent identification in contemporary society, which makes up for a legitimate object of interest as to knowing data on its functionality, the difficulties it faces, the quality of its relations with society, the positive and negative elements that mark childrens’ life. The profile of the single-parent family and membership to this type of family may have an influence through destructured internal family social capital, so that the family’s structural deficiencies, family relations that do not match an optimal family environment, lead to medium and long-term effects on child development. By acknowledging the effects of family structure on the behaviour of single-parent family children, a certain framework of potential actions and steps may be outlined which can provide them with a safety net and can ensure them with the fundamentals of an adequate social, academic and professional life. On the ground of shared responsibility, this approach must involve all significant actors that have potential of active and proactive involvement in relation to the issue of children from single-parent families.

The Meaning Of Bali Aesthetic Code In The Animated Film Si Uma

This study aims to analyze the meaning of aesthetic code in the animated film "Si Uma." The animated film "Si Uma" needs to be investigated because the reanimated film shows Balinese culture's beauty and has a unique character shape. Visualization of Balinese culture in this animated film contains a meaningful message for the life of the universe hitch conveyed through the form of code. The problem is what is the meaning of the Balinese aesthetic code represented in the animated film "Si Uma." The method used in this research is qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The technique of determining the source of data in this study is the Snowball sampling technique. Data sources were collected through interviews with Ida Bagus Surya Manuba, I Nyoman Suci Rasika, and Gede Pasek Putra Adnyana Yasa. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing based on Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotic theory and Roland Barthes' postmodern aesthetic code. The results of this study indicate that the aesthetic code in the animated film "Si Uma" in the form of a semantic code is associated with a black and white patterned fabric sign (poleng) which contains the meaning of life balance in the universe; the cultural code is associated with a headband (udeng) containing meaning to concentrate thoughts or views (concentration) in every activity in Bali. In conclusion, the meaning of the aesthetic code in the animated film "Si Uma" is seen from two perspectives such as : the semantic code in the form of Poleng Cloth is ideological containing the meaning of balance in life in the universe; cultural code in the form of a headband (udeng)is connotative which means to focus attention/thought, aesthetic, and cultural identity in worship and daily activities.

Pembelajaran SBdP Materi Reklame Melalui Kearifan Lokal Telaga Jonge untuk Membentuk Karakter Peduli Lingkungan

This study aims to describe the implementation of Lerning Arts, Culture and Craft in billboaard materials throug the local wisdom of Jonge Lake to form environmental care characters in 6th grade students of SD Negeri Srrepeng Semanu . This research use descriptive qualitative approach. This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year in grade 6th SD Negeri Srepeng Semanu, with a total of 20 students consisting of 11 male students and 9 female students. The data in this study are qualitative data obtained through observations, documentation, and field notes. Sources of data obtained from student. The result showed that 1) The implementation of SBdP learning of billboard materials through the local wisdom of Jonge Lake was able to shape the students’ environmental care character. 2) The shape of the environmental care characters of the 6th grade students of SD Negeri Srepeng Semanu can be seen in the making of billboards containing an invitation to maintain cleanliness and preserve Jonge Lake

The Research Report on the Rubbings of Luochi Temple Tablet Written by Su Shi

Luochi Temple Tablet Written by Su Shi is now kept in Memorial Temple to Liu Zongyuan in Liuzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. To date, there are four editions of rubbings of the tablet. The first and the second are both old rubbings collected by Liu Quanfu and Wang Yirong respectively. The third edition is collected by Qin Qingzeng from Liangxi District of Wuxi City. The fourth edition is an complete rubbing collected by the Institute of Human Sciences of Kyoto University. This article compares the shape and location of the same Chinese characters chosen from the four editions and determines that the edition collected by Liu Quanfu is an earlier one.

UPAYA PEMBELAJARAN SEJARAH DALAM MEMBENTUK KARAKTER TECHNOPRENEURSHIP BERBASIS KEARIFAN LOKAL

Education has an important role in shaping character and developing the potential contained in students. Education as a reference for instilling character values ​​so that students can implement character values ​​through their potential. One of the characters that can be developed in the world of education is the character of technopreneurship. The character of techopreneurship emphasizes the collaborative process between technological advances and entrepreneurial skills. The role of history learning can be used as a way to shape the character of technoprenurship. By learning history, students or students can develop skills that combine aspects of technology, entrepreneurship and historical values, so that the next generation of the nation has the potential to develop technopreneurshi characters, not forgetting local wisdom and the nation's historical values. The research method used is qualitative research through a literature study approach. Comparative analysis of morphospace of Neotropical Sericini (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae): disparity in the light of species diversity and activity patterns

The striking diversity among herbivorous Scarabaeoidea is still poorly understood. Therefore, we compare in these work linear measurements of body features of Neotropical and Old World linages of Sericini chafers to uncover patterns possibly linked to foraging behavior (day or night activity) or to the success of their diversification in terms of diversity. If diversity in Sericini chafers would be linked to morphological disparity, we would expect in the much less diverse Neotropical lineage a very clear drop of morphological disparity. Comparing the two major sister clades, Old World and Neotropical Sericini, in terms of their disparity and diversity, the here elaborated distance data do not support the hypothesis that morphological disparity could be a driver for the diversity of Sericini in the Old World. The influence of the metacoxal length on morphological disparity appears to represent a possible key for a better understanding of the evolution of Sericini in the Neotropical region (including their lower diversity) and answers the question of why they are so much less diverse than their sister lineage in the Old World. The increasing length of the metacoxal plate appears to be a result of the presence of a secondary metacoxal joint in Old World Sericini, which has a crucial impact on hind leg mobility and digging behavior. General body shape and single morphological characters appear under similar general evolutionary pressure: high morphometric disparity between nocturnal and diurnal Neotropical species was also corroborated by disparity estimated from discrete morphological characters.

PERAN ORANG TUA DALAM MEMBENTUK KARAKTER SISWA BUDDHIS DI SD NEGERI MOJOREJO 01 KOTA BATU

This research examines the role of parents in shaping character of Buddhist students. The background of this research is there are students who are shy, difficult to hang out, problems in their education and there are children with special needs. Therefore, this study aims to determine the character of students and to know the role of parents in shaping character. The research method used descriptive qualitative. The informants in this study were five parents, five students and one teacher. The research was conducted at SD Negeri Mojorejo 01, Batu City. Data collection techniques were obtained from observations, interviews and documentation. The results showed that students of SD Negeri Mojorejo 01, had quite good characters, this was obtained based on data obtained through interviews. To find out character of students, it is necessary to observe at school and home. Realizing student character can be done through habituation by applying Buddhist values.

Morphological and anatomical study of four Pyrrosia (Polypodiaeae) species from Rumbai forest, Riau Province, Indonesia

Morphological and anatomical study of four Pyrrosia (Polypodiaeae) species from Rumbai forest, Riau Province, Indonesia. Biodiversitas 22: 4905-4914. Pyrrosia is one of genera in Polypodiaceae that is commonly distributed at Riau Forest, Indonesia. However, the detailed morphological characteristics and anatomical study of Pyrrosia in this region is scanty. This study was aimed to characterize the morphology and anatomy of four Pyrrosia species (P. angustata, P. lanceolata, P. nipoboloides and P. piloselloides) from Rumbai Forest, Riau Province. All of the specimens were collected in the field. Morphological characters were examined in detail. Anatomical preparation was conducted using the paraffin method. The specimens were then observed and photographed using a light microscope. Principal Component Analysis had been carried out using a total of 52 morphological and anatomical characters. The result showed the morphological variation among the species, especially on the shape of sterile lamina and sori characteristics. Anatomically, the examined species showed variations in outline shape in the transverse section of rhizomes and stipes, schelerenchymatous sheath and strand, as well as number of meristele. The PCA results showed that only three characters (shape of sterile laminae, base of sterile laminae, and upper surface color of sterile laminae) have eigenvalue over 1.00 and together these explain 100% of the total variability of the data. The anatomical data in this study is reported for the first time on Pyrrosia from Riau province.

IMPLEMENTASI BUDAYA SEKOLAH BERWAWASAN LINGKUNGAN DALAM MEMBENTUK KARAKTER PEDULI LINGKUNGAN SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

The purpose of this study is describe implementation of environmental school culture for shaping character environmental care students at SDN Temas 01 Batu. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive research. The study is conducted in SDN Temas 01 Batu with the subject of his research is the principal, 3 teachers, 4 students, 1 janitor, 1 cafeteria guard and 2 parents of students. Data is collected through interview, observation, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out through 3 stages, datareduction, data display and verification. The validity of the information is tested by triangulation of techniques and triangulation of sources. The research results show that environmental school culture is implemented through 3 steps, planning, implementation and evaluation. Planning activities are forming school environmental management team, making environmental studies and planning environmental actions. Activities carried out during implementation are make environmental policies, implement environmental based curricula, conduct participatory based environmental activities, and manage environmental supporting facilities. The success of the implementation is evaluated by monitoring the state of biodiversity in schools, electricity bills and spending on purchasing office stationery, weighing the amount of waste and monitoring students' ability to manage the environment in terms of cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. The supporting factor that influences the implementation of an environmental school culture is the location of the school which is in a location that is still beautiful and gets a lot of support from outside parties. While the inhibiting factor is limitation of budget, there are still students who lack awareness in sorting waste and there is still a lot of plastic waste in schools.

The Effects of Parenting Style and Adolescent Character on Adolescent Spirituality During The Pandemic

Parenting adolescents during the pandemic is a considerably challenging endeavour. The parenting style of families constitutes a crucial factor in the shaping of adolescent characters and spirituality. Family is primary socialization through which adolescents develop their character and spirituality. Parenting patterns in adolescents have a significant impact on their personality and spirituality. This is evidenced in the love of God. This research employed an ex post facto design. The results revealed that parenting styles families adopted during the pandemic impacted adolescent characters and spirituality. The data analysis showed an interaction between parenting style variables and adolescent characters and the spirituality of Batak adolescents indicated by the R square value of 97.1%.

Begonia ’Crested‘: A new variety of Begonia from interspecific hybridization of Begonia sudjanae C.A Janson × Begonia puspitae Ardi

Improvement of leaf shape characters in Begonia can be done through hybridization between two different species of Begonia. This study aims to produce a new variety of Begonia to better improve the quantitative, qualitative characters and increase its genetic diversity. The study was conducted in the green house of Bogor Botanic Gardens. Two native species of Indonesia, Begonia sudjanae C.A Janson as the female parent and Begonia puspitae Ardi as the male parent. The mature F1 seeds were sown and selections were made among the plants produced. Observation results the characteristics of the new variety Begonia Crested as follows: stem type rhizomatous, leaves simple, ovate, peltate with strongly undulate base. Leaves margin is crenate and apex is acuminate. Colour on the upper surface are yellow green group RHS Colour Chart: (YG 144 A) strong yellow green, colour of veins on upper side is (YG 144 D) light yellow green. Inflorescence peduncle with 20 cm long branched symmetrically. The name Begonia Crested as the selected F1 plants are propagated in a vegetative method with leaves cutting, registered on the Center of Plant Variety Protection (PPVTPP) by No. 846/PVHP/2020. This new variety is beautiful and exotic leaves ornamental Begonia which will be developed as commercials ornamental plants.
