In this work, a case is reported of a young Doberman dog, with a history of ingesting cica palm (Cycas revoluta), in the first months of life, she presented changes in liver enzymes. The patient was diagnosed with primary hepatic hemangiosarcoma, which is a malignant neoplasm of epithelial cells, and is highly metastatic in its visceral form. The diagnosis was made through exploratory laparotomy and histopathological results. In addition, complementary hematological and imaging tests were performed for follow-up. Eight chemotherapy sessions with doxorubicin were performed. Due to the aggressiveness of this neoplasm, the prognosis is reserved to unfavorable. During treatment, the patient developed dilated cardiomyopathy, progressing to heart failure, which was the cause of death. The objective of this report is to present a case of primary hepatic hemangiosarcoma, raising the possible cause related to the carcinogenic agent responsible for its development.
