A Smart Leader in VUCA World: Presenting Key Components of Strategic Leadership Using SLR Method

The current study compiles and summarizes the key findings of the researches conducted on strategic leadership to meet VUCA world’s demand for organizational excellence, sustainable growth, competitive advantages and people centric approach using SPAR-4-SLR protocol technique. Reputed international journals of ABDC A*, A & B ranking are referred to extract corresponding findings of quality research articles on strategic intents of progressive and transformational leadership. Using SLR method the study tries to collate relevant evidences based upon ‘systematic procedures and rationales’ disclosing key parameters of smart leadership required in today’s dynamic business world. Here, ‘smart’ word refers to a ‘learnt leader through experience’ than ‘a trained leader in a business school’. With the help of ‘Systematic Literature Review (SLR)’ technique, the study finds ‘idealized influence (4 component), intellectual stimulation (2 factors), individual consideration (4 factors) and inspirational motivation (4 factors) are identified as the key components of a strategic leadership in today’s VUCA world. The research also presents four elements of a smart leader viz. social intelligence, emotional intelligence, professional wisdom and spiritual intelligence.

School Principal Management In Improving Teacher Competency Vocational School In Jambi Province

This research aims to look at the phenomenon of school principal management in improving teachers' pedagogical and professional competence. Principal management includes planning, implementation, supporting and inhibiting factors and evaluation carried out by the principal. This research uses a qualitative phenomenology approach which was carried out at State Vocational High Schools in Jambi Province. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation and documentation. The research was carried out at SMK Negeri 4 Sarolangun, SMK Negeri 4 Jambi City and SMK Negeri 4 Tanjung Jabung Timur. Research subjects included school principals, deputy principals, heads of skills programs, teachers and school staff. Research results: (1) principal planning in the form of teacher needs analysis, in house training, teacher internship program, bringing in guest teachers, upskilling and reskilling programs, (2) implementation includes: learning planning, application of learning methods, classroom management, professional development , collaboration with colleagues, curriculum understanding, use of educational technology, teacher skills development, educational research and measurement and evaluation. (3) The supporting factors are: leadership commitment, teacher empowerment, providing space for teachers to develop initiatives. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are budget limitations, resistance to change, unavailability of human resources, teachers' insufficient ICT capabilities and lack of support from related parties. (4) Evaluations carried out by school principals include teacher performance assessments, evaluation discussions with teachers, training and professional development. Based on the research findings, it was concluded that management was carried out directly by the school principal in improving the competency of State Vocational School teachers in Jambi Province. Recommendations were submitted to the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture, the Jambi Provincial Education Office and the Industrial and Business World to develop teacher competencies in accordance with industry needs.

An Analysis of the Great Disruption of COVID-19 Pandemic

The emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic in late 2019 led to a global crisis of unprecedented scale and complexity that disrupted almost every aspect of human life. The pandemic has taken people, institutions and governments by surprise, so the impact of the virus has been profound and far-reaching. The rapid and relentless spread of the pandemic has challenged global health systems, strained economies, altered daily routines in educational settings and at work, and tested the resilience of communities worldwide. Different studies have identified vulnerabilities in the world’s ability to respond to health emergencies at the individual and societal levels. This study presents a systematic literature review and theoretical analysis of the disruptions caused by COVID-19 to help formulate strategies that encourage flexibility and resilience in the face of such complex and interconnected disruptions. The article analyzes the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic through the prism of two main theories: the theory of situational crisis communications (type of crisis, its history, responsibility, perceived seriousness, predictable probability, crisis communications strategies, post-crisis reputation), as well as the theory of social learning (learning through observation, modeling and imitation, positive and negative reinforcement in the formation of behavior). In addition, the nature of society’s adaptation to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic is also considered through the prism of the theory of subversive innovations (progress in communication technologies, new methods of remote work and education, the entry of social networks into the business world, the introduction of asynchronous communication). The article summarizes the scientific progress on the following main consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic in the workplace, healthcare system, and education. The study provides recommendations on the steps that individuals, institutions and governments can take to increase readiness and ability to adapt to the next crisis (interdisciplinary cooperation, analysis of communication strategies, system analysis). The analysis conducted in the article also made it possible to outline the most promising directions for further qualitative intervention studies (in-depth case studies taking into account the specific context of regions, organizations or communities to identify effective and ineffective policies and practices; qualitative interviews with key stakeholders to understand the intricacies of decision-making in the context of the pandemic crisis); qualitative action studies (building community resilience, collaborative research efforts involving policymakers, health experts and community representatives to develop crisis response policies jointly) and quantitative studies (analysis of pandemic spread, impact of vaccination on disease control, analysis of the economic effects of the pandemic, etc.).

Private Power and Public Office: The Rise of Business Politicians in Indonesia

ABSTRACT Scholars have long been preoccupied with the role that capital plays in Indonesia’s democratic institutions. Observers emphasize a tight overlap between the worlds of politics and business, with many describing murky connections and corrupt alliances among state officials, oligarchs, and local bosses. While such relations remain fundamental to Indonesian politics, this paper draws attention to a parallel but under-analyzed transformation of both the social and political status of business actors in contemporary Indonesia. From tech entrepreneurs to mining giants, people with established business careers are increasingly taking up the reins of government. Once considered the inferior political and policy actor during Suharto’s New Order, businesspersons now exercise direct political power and entrepreneurial success is valued, even revered, within political and policymaking circles. While evidence of such changes can be identified at different moments in Indonesia’s recent history, during the presidency of businessperson politician, Joko Widodo, there has been a marked intensification of these trends. Today there is a far broader acceptance of business elites as stewards of state institutions. The result is a fusing of private power and public office in a form, and to a degree, that is unprecedented in Indonesia’s political history.

PENGARUH RELATIONSHIP MARKETING TERHADAP LOYALITAS PENGGUNA JASA KURSUS ONLINE “Studi tentang Loyalitas Pengguna Kursus Online pada Nuraz Institute, Tarakan”

The purpose of this study is to analyze and determine the effect of relationship marketing on user loyalty for online course at the Nuraz Institute, Tarakan. The method used in this research is quantitative with an explanatory approach. The population in the study included all users of the online course at the Nuraz Institute with a saturated sample of 33 respondents. The data analysis technique used is the regression analysis which aims to determine the effect of the relationship marketing variable toward the user loyalty. The results showed that there was an influence of relationship marketing towards user loyalty for online course at the Nuraz Institute. The relatioship marketing has a very strong influence towards customer loyalty. Marketing and user loyalty in the business world play an important role to running a business, especially in the service provider business.

Instrument model to evaluate children-friendly school program at elementary school in Indonesia

This study aims to develop an instrument to evaluate Indonesia’s children-friendly school program (CFSP). This development research is then used to evaluate CFSP in Indonesia. Instrument development using the context, input, process, product (CIPP) approach and outcome evaluation. The population of this study was all students in the provinces of Riau and Yogyakarta. The research sample is of the students taken randomly from 108 schools that run CFSP. Data analysis used content validity, construct analysis, construct reliability, and descriptive statistics to evaluate the current CFSP. The content validity result shows that only 50 can be used of 56 of the developed items. The construct validity analysis result shows that all indicators obtained from theoretical exploration are valid and reliable. The model fit test shows that the instruments and data obtained from the respondents fit statistically. The results of the evaluation analysis show that the CFSP has been running well, but three indicators are still at a poor level and need to be improved so that the CFSP can run optimally. Indicators needing improvement are the completeness of documents and indicators of student participation, parental participation, community institutions, and the business world. This instrument became the new product to evaluate completely CFSP program because this instrument evaluates not only the process or implementation program but also every process until the program's outcome. Recommendations that need to be considered by stakeholders are to improve CFSP performance so that CFSP can maximally develop student character.

Modeling the Consumers’ Flow Experience in E-commerce: The Integration of ECM and TAM with the Antecedents of Flow Experience

To achieve sustainable development of e-commerce and promote customers’ online shopping conduct, companies develop online shopping platforms to enhance customers’ online shopping behavior. The growing significance of technology in advertising has sparked intense interest in the worlds of education and business to create enjoyable experiences for online clients. Analyzing flow-related states is crucial for generating these experiences. Based on a combined theoretical framework comprising the antecedents of flow, the expectation confirmation model, and the technology acceptance model, this research examines how flow experiences influence the willingness to participate in online purchasing through online shopping platforms, with a focus on Chinese internet users of online shopping platforms. Three hundred internet clients were selected using the convenience sampling technique, and a survey methodology was employed to collect information from internet consumers. Findings from this study suggest that flow had a significant effect on continuous intention, perceived usefulness, and satisfaction. Furthermore, concerning flow’s antecedents, flow was significantly influenced by feedback, perceived enjoyment, and perceived vividness. Moreover, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use were found to have substantial relationships with satisfaction and continuous intention. This research provides significant implications for research scholars and practitioners.

Occupation-Related Volunteering: A Qualitative Systematic Literature Review, Conceptualization, and Directions for Future Research

This review investigates the volunteering-work nexus, where an individual’s paid occupational work in the business, government, or voluntary sector is akin to their volunteer work: tasks and responsibilities are similar, but the structure, conditions, and relationships differ. Performing work spans their business and volunteer worlds and brings dynamic interactions between work and volunteering. Pro bono, skills-based, or corporate volunteering are terms in use; however, these conceptualizations of the underlying and interconnecting practices of work and volunteering are too limited. This transdisciplinary, qualitative systematic literature review of 62 scientific articles studies individuals using conceptualizations of work, volunteering, and occupations over their working life, from service-learning to retirement. With ambiguous boundaries and terminology in the literature, we introduce a new term— occupation-related volunteering—defined as an individual acting to benefit others without payment or coercion, developing, using, or maintaining their occupational knowledge, skills, and abilities, and drawing upon their economic, social, and cultural capital. The definition anticipates that an individual’s occupational resources change over their working life and vary depending on whether the volunteer is acting independently or with the support of their workplace. Occupation-related volunteering extends paid-unpaid and formal-informal boundaries to include volunteering in “paid” work time and in informal, community-based organizations and less public roles, such as mentoring. Finally, we encourage future research using the bibliometric data, suggestions in the reviewed articles, and our synthesis of the individual’s perspective of performing their occupational work as a volunteer.

Pengaruh Rantai Pasok dan Manajemen Persediaan Terhadap Pengembangan Produk

The intense competition in the business world requires companies to innovate their products so that customers do not switch to competitors' products. Product development is a crucial factor that companies must undertake. This research aims to determine the influence of the supply chain and inventory management on product development. The research method used is quantitative research conducted in pharmaceutical companies. Data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to 60 employees of PT. Pharmacy. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 26. The research results indicate that the supply chain, together with inventory management, has an impact on product development. This illustrates the crucial role of raw material suppliers and the availability of supporting raw materials in meeting the needs, which will support the success of product development.

Optimizing E-commerce Inventory to prevent Stock Outs using the Random Forest Algorithm Approach

This research investigates the effectiveness of the Random Forest algorithm in optimizing e-commerce inventory management. In a digital business that continues to grow, inventory management is crucial for smooth operations and customer satisfaction. The Random Forest algorithm, a development of the CART method by applying bagging techniques and random feature selection, was tested to predict inventory. An experimental design is used to test the algorithm's performance algorithms performance, using data relevant to the observed inventory variables. The analysis involves evaluating the performance of algorithms in predicting and preventing stockouts. The results show that the Random Forest algorithm provides more accurate inventory predictions than traditional methods. Comparison with linear and rule-based regression reveals higher accuracy, making this algorithm a promising choice for e-commerce inventory management. These findings imply that the Random Forest Algorithm can be an effective solution in overcoming the complexity and fluctuations of digital markets. Practical recommendations include a deep understanding of the data, engagement of trained human resources, and training strategies for optimal use of these algorithms. This research also contributes to the literature by expanding understanding of the application of the Random Forest algorithm in various contexts, including forest basal area prediction, supply chain management, and backorder prediction. In conclusion, the Random Forest algorithm has great potential to improve e-commerce inventory management, opening up opportunities for broader application in the digital business world. Proactive adoption of these algorithms can have a positive impact on operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and a company's competitiveness in an ever-evolving market.

The type of research used is qualitative descriptive research with data sources from observation, interviews and documentation. Suryabumi Agrolanggeng has been implemented well, every year the company provides assistance for teachers' welfare, the construction of a prayer room for SMP Negeri 6, assistance for the construction of the building of SMK Negri 2 and many others in building quality education, making the nation's life intelligent and the welfare of teachers for the education sector in PALI Regency

Peran Digitalisasi dan Program Santripreneur melalui pendekatan SDGs dalam mewujudkan kemandirian Pondok pesantren (Studi Pada Ponpes Besar di Kab. Lamongan)

The development of economic digitalization in Indonesia has increased quite significantly at this time. This has resulted in consumption patterns that were previously carried out by people physically, now shifting online. The business world is required to adapt to see the current phenomena. On the one hand, today's modern Islamic boarding schools are not only centers of studying religion, they also have great potential in the economy. They changed the paradigm in da'wah, which previously used verbally to change into action. So that it can be a solution to society's problems, which motivates Islamic boarding schools to try to combine the religious education system with entrepreneurial training known as santripreneur. This program is a breakthrough to realize the concept of sustainable development which has a good impact on human life and nature. This study aims to analyze the role of digitalization and the santripreneur program in realizing the independence of Islamic boarding schools when viewed based on the SDGs approach. The population in this study were Islamic boarding school students spread across Lamongan Regency. Sample selection was carried out using purposive sampling technique, with a sample of 353 respondents. Data analysis in this study used structural equation modeling partial least squares (SEM-PLS) techniques. The analysis results show that santripreneurs and digitalization have an influence on the SDGs. Santripreneurs have a direct effect on the economic independence of Islamic boarding schools, while digitalization does not directly affect the economic independence of Islamic boarding schools. SDGs are able to mediate the influence of santripreneurs and digitalization on the economic independence of Islamic boarding schools.

The impact of intangible assets on market valuation: evidence from EURO STOXX 50 companies

The impact of a company's intangible assets on its market value has been a topic of great interest. Many studies have focused on various factors, such as industry, size, age, indebtedness, and profitability of companies, which influence decisions regarding the disclosure of information about intangible assets. This study examines the role of intangible assets in the valuation of a company's market value and takes into account other firm-specific characteristics. Our analysis was conducted on a sample of 50 publicly traded companies that are part of the EURO STOXX 50 index and come from eight countries in the eurozone: Belgium, Finland, France, the Netherlands, Ireland, Germany, Spain, and Italy. The study covered a five-year period from 2018 to 2022.The results of our study indicate that intangible assets have a significant impact on a company's market value. In conclusion, our study highlights the growing importance of intangible assets in today's economy and their significant influence on a company's market value. Investors can benefit from a deeper understanding of these factors, aiding them in investment decisions. For companies, the strategic management of intellectual assets is essential for long-term success. As the importance of intangible assets continues to rise, further research in this area is necessary to gain deeper insights into their impact on the business world.

Are Financial Ratios Able to Predict Bank Stock Prices During the COVID-19 Pandemic?

Fundamental analysis, such as financial ratios, is important to ensure capital markets move efficiently. This analysis represents 69% of the variation in stock prices in the capital market. However, fundamental analysis has not been widely carried out because expertise is needed to analyze qualitative and quantitative data from company characteristics that underlie the movement of a stock. In 2020 – 2022, bank performance experienced fluctuations due to the Covid-19 pandemic which caused bank share prices to also fluctuate. On the other hand, banks have an important role as intermediary institutions or intermediaries to support the funding needs of the real sector or the business world. However, previous research on fundamental analysis largely excluded companies in the financial sector. Therefore, this article aims to find out whether financial ratios are able to predict bank share prices during the Covid-19 pandemic. There are five financial ratios used in this research, namely loan loss provision ratio, total capital ratio, profit margin ratio, current ratio, and solvency ratio. The population in this study are financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2020 - 2022. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling method and obtained 38 companies and 114 observations. The results of multiple regression analysis show that the loan loss provision ratio has a significant negative effect and the total capital ratio has a significant positive effect on bank share prices. Meanwhile, the net profit margin ratio, current ratio and solvency ratio do not have a significant effect on bank share prices. This research has implications for encouraging banks to improve disclosure policies and encouraging investors to hone fundamental analysis skills to reduce mispricing and make markets more efficient.

MODEL STRUKTURAL PENINGKATAN LOYALITAS KONSUMEN PADA PRODUK UMKM MEREK BITTERSWEET BY NAJLA DI INDONESIA

Social media is a digital platform that is widely used in the business world, especially by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Bittersweet by Najla is an MSME product that utilizes social media to increase brand loyalty. The research objective is to analyze the increase in brand loyalty based on social media marketing activities, brand trust, brand equity, and brand attachment to Bittersweet by Najla brand MSME products in Indonesia. This study is categorized as causal research using a survey method. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with 227 respondents as the research sample. The analysis technique used is Partial Least Square with Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using the SmartPLS application. The results of the study show that an increase in brand loyalty is not directly determined by social media marketing activities, but through the mediation of brand trust, brand attachment, and brand equity shows a significant increase in the relationship. The research results concluded that the increase in consumer loyalty for Bittersweet by Najla is significantly determined by the amount of brand trust, brand attachment, and brand equity.

THE EFFECT OF JOB ATTITUDES ON EMPLOYEES' KNOWLEDGE SHARING BEHAVIOR IN TELECOMMUNICATION SECTOR OF PAKISTAN

The knowledge sharing behavior has received great attention in business world because of high critical role in improving organizational efficiency. The relationship between job attitudes and employees' knowledge sharing behavior is a significant area of research in organizational psychology and human resource management. The job attitudes, such as job satisfactions and organizational commitment, can influence employees' willingness to share knowledge with their colleagues. This study empirically investigates the relationship between job attitudes (i.e., organizational commitment, job involvement, and job satisfaction) and information sharing actions using a statistical procedure based on survey of 226 Mobilink telecommunication private limited employees from Pakistan's Hazara Division, KP, Pakistan. The findings showed that knowledge sharing behavior is linked with work satisfaction, organizational engagement and job participation positively. The study offered some recommendations that how managers can improve the knowledge sharing behavior in their organizations by considering the dynamic issues.

PELATIHAN SIMULATOR APLIKASI SMARTCLASS ROOM BERBASIS IoT UNTUK GURU- GURU SMK NASIONAL BANDUNG

Revitalization of vocational schools is the core of the mandate of Presidential Instruction No. 9/2016 on Revitalization of Vocational High Schools (SMK). Vocational Education is education that refers to the mastery of applied expertise in a particular field. Students will be equipped with theory and also the implementation of learning in the form of practice.
 The Ministry of Education and Culture adjusts and develops the vocational education curriculum and adjusts it to be demand-driven so that the business world and the industrial world (DUDI) are more actively involved in the vocational education process in SMK. This IoT-based Smart class Room Application Simulator abdimas program aims to provide insight and increase competence for SMK teachers so that they can work and implement this knowledge to their students. The results of this abdimas feedback are 60% agree and 40% strongly agree. This shows that this abdimas program has succeeded in providing benefits to SMK teachers.

Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching of E-Commerce Course Based on Short Video

The e-commerce course based on short videos offers a dynamic and accessible learning experience tailored to the fast-paced world of online business. Through concise and engaging video modules, students gain practical insights into various aspects of e-commerce, including market analysis, digital marketing strategies, website development, and customer relationship management. This papers explores the implementation of virtual simulation experimental teaching in an e-commerce course, utilizing short video modules as the primary instructional tool, enhanced by Stacked Ranking Regression Classifier (SRRC). The research aims to enhance student engagement and comprehension by integrating virtual simulations with short video content, providing an immersive and interactive learning experience. Through simulated experiments and empirical validations, the efficacy of SRRC-enhanced virtual simulation teaching methods is evaluated. Results demonstrate significant improvements in student performance and satisfaction compared to traditional teaching approaches. Simulation analysis of students exposed to SRRC-enhanced virtual simulation teaching reported a 25% increase in comprehension levels and a 30% improvement in engagement metrics. Additionally, the SRRC model facilitates personalized learning experiences tailored to individual student needs, leading to enhanced learning outcomes. These findings underscore the potential of virtual simulation experimental teaching with SRRC in revolutionizing e-commerce education and fostering student success.

Strategi Ketahanan UMKM Menghadapi Kompetitif Bisnis Dalam Melintasi Pasca Pandemi Covid-19 Di Surabaya

ABSTRACT2022 slowly enters a period of economic recovery in various sectors. The Covid-19 pandemic has really had an extraordinary impact, especially the business development of the MSME sector and this impact has also been felt on the domestic economy which is very significant. This can be seen in the growth rate of the economic sector in Surabaya of 4.29%, thanks to the persistence and resilience of MSME business actors the economic growth rate will increase in 2022 to 7.17% in the post-pandemic period (economic recovery period). This study aims to explore and analyze the condition of MSME business actors in Surabaya which can later be used to determine what strategic action decisions to take in order to survive facing business competition in the post-covid-19 pandemic. This study uses the analysis of the OODA loops approach as a benchmark tool in acting to defend its business in facing the competitive business world in crossing the post-pandemic Covid-19 in Surabaya. The data for this study were taken using the method of observation, interviews and questionnaires by google form respondents to several MSME business actors by means of non-probability sampling, the results of which were 87.2% believed that they could cross post-pandemic conditions Covid-19 with positive growth, an average economic recovery of 85.75%. The conclusion is that MSME entrepreneurs believe they can continue to do business in a competitive environment in the post-covid-19 pandemic.
