СУЧАСНІ КОНЦЕПЦІЇ УПРАВЛІННЯ ЕФЕКТИВНІСТЮ ДІЯЛЬНОСТІ СІЛЬСЬКОГОСПОДАРСЬКИХ ПІДПРИЄМСТВ

В статті проаналізовано сучасні концепції управління ефективністю діяльності з метою їх адаптації до застосування в умовах сільськогосподарських підприємств України. В сучасних умовах розвитку усе більше поширення й застосування сучасних концепцій управління ефективністю діяльності сільськогосподарських підприємств з метою їх адаптації до застосування в умовах глобалізацієї світової економіки, підвищенням динамічності ринкового середовища і посиленням конкуренції в Україні. Відібрано і досліджено найбільш перспективні концепції, а саме концепція Business Performance Management (BPM) т аBalanced Scorecard (BSС), які б дозволили трансформувати поставлені стратегії та цілі у ряд дій, що б забезпечили їх досягнення; інтегрувати системний аналіз ефективності діяльності в управлінні. BPM спрямована на оптимізацію реалізації стратегії і складається з набору інтегрованих циклічних аналітичних процесів, підтримуваних відповідними технологіями і мають відношення як до фінансової, так і до операційної інформації та дозволяє сільськогосподарським підприємствам визначати, вимірювати і управляти ефективністю своєї діяльності, спрямованої на досягнення стратегічних цілей. BSС це система, яка переводить місію і загальну стратегію сільськогосподарських підприємств в систему чітко поставлених цілей і завдань, а також показників, що визначають ступінь досягнення даних установок. Вона забезпечує зворотний зв'язок між внутрішніми бізнессередовищем й зовнішніми показниками, необхідний для підвищення стратегічної ефективності й досягнення результатів. Концепції Business Performance Management та Balanced Scorecard є результатом еволюції як управлінської теорії, так і інформаційних технологій і вони ввібрали в себе як актуальні управлінські принципи, так і сучасні технології управління ефективністюсільськогосподарських підприємств.

PRACTICE OF SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED ENTERPRISE PERFORMANCE EVALUATION IN LATVIA

The total number of small and medium-sized enterprises signifies an essential share of the national economy; SMEs’ importance is evaluated by the value added and the new jobs created. Despite the growing research interest in the small and medium business performance measurement, there is no consistent opinion among researchers regarding small and medium business performance indicators, their measurement, and methods of assessment. The research study is based on an analysis of literature and scientific publications, the assessment of the financial indicators used by the Latvian institutions for the company’s financial analysis, and an expert survey. The general scientific research methods are used in the research study: information analysis and synthesis, logical construction, monographic, an expert survey, data grouping, and the graphical method. The aim of the research – to carry out an analysis of the performance evaluation practice for small and medium-sized enterprises in Latvia. A study of the small and medium sized business performance measurement and management is carried out and the analysis of the financial indicators used for the performance measurement of small and medium-sized enterprises is performed in the result.

호텔 고객 접점 직원의 직무크래프팅과 직무소진 및 직무열의에 관한 구조적 영향 관계

This case study analyzed hotel frontline employees’ job crafting and job engagement. It particularly tested the mediating effects of job burnout on the relationships between job crafting and job engagement. By doing so, this study provides implications for more effective business performance and human resource management in the hotel business. The results can be summarized as follows: There were three effects resulting from a hotel frontline employees’ job crafting which are: negative effects on job burnout, positive effects on job engagement and negative effects on job engagement. Furthermore, hotel frontline employees’ job burnout played a mediating role in the relationship between job crafting and job engagement. This study presents theoretical and practical implications to improve organizational effectiveness and enhance management performance in a hotel environment where human resource management is important.

Prioritising marketing activities in different types of marketing functions

Marketing functions (MFs) differ in how they practise marketing roles. The purpose of this article is to differentiate between MFs that practice marketing roles in a particular manner and then study how these different types of MFs differ with regard to the marketing roles’ effect on business performance (BP) and top management's respect. An empirical survey identifies four types of MFs: (1) the broad spectrum; (2) the hesitant; (3) the traditional and (4) the market-creating. Findings show that for each of the four types, the effect of investing in a particular role varies: all roles are not equally important to practise. Moreover, all roles are not equally important to all marketing functions, but depend on the marketing function's unique starting point. Since MFs differ, relevant investments in marketing roles also differ, making it beneficial to prioritise them. However, management dilemmas exist, because to gain top management respect the MFs may have to perform roles that will not improve BP.

Towards developing a business performance management model using causal latent semantic analysis

Business performance management (BPM) helps organisations achieve improved effectiveness and competitiveness by bridging the gap between strategy and execution. Though several industry-specific practitioner BPM frameworks exist, there is little research in the academia on BPM. This study fills this void by developing and testing a generic BPM model using causal latent semantic analysis on textual data obtained from both practitioner and academic sources. The BPM model developed in this study provides a structure for enhancing responsiveness and flexibility because it embodies the process of managing an organisation's strategy. Since the BPM process embodies a closed-loop process with the objective of continuously adjusting business strategies, it helps organisations to enhance their agility. Therefore, with the implementation of the BPM framework, organisations can quickly adapt to changes. This study posits that the proposed BPM model will help managers create an agile organisation that is capable of developing and increasing competitive advantage.

Project Management Office Transformations: Direct and Moderating Effects that Enhance Performance and Maturity

This article aims at understanding organizational change through the study of project management office (PMO) transformations. This article suggests that performance resulting from a PMO transformation is moderated by the organizational context, change management, and by changes in coordination mechanisms—control or service orientation. This exploratory study adopted a quantitative methodology involving a sample of 184 PMO changes. It confirms the multifaceted nature of the context involved in a PMO transformation. External events play a key role in triggering change and improving performance. Key findings suggest that increasing the PMO's supportive role improves project performance, business performance, and project management maturity. Conversely, increasing the PMO's control role does not improve performance. This study's major contribution is to provide some empirical evidence concerning organizational change management.

Business Performance and Strategic Management Options in Hospitality: The Case of Lisbon City

This research addresses the growing hotel market phenomenon where two dominant strategic management models coexist: Hotel chains and independent hotels. In this context, this research intends to study the main strategic and operational management differences of these two business models and their differences in terms of business performance. The case study presented focuses on the city of Lisbon (Portugal) with a total sample of 114 hotels surveyed. Taking the Balanced Scorecard methodology as reference for the empirical analysis, the several associated indicators allowed us to compare and understand the differences in performance between the hotels integrated in international chains and the independent ones, or those belonging to small local hotel groups. The SPSS 20.0 version was used to carry out the research analysis. If, on the one hand, the empirical evidence points to the fact that units integrated in hotel chains have more standard operating procedures and a more complex management structure, on the other, with respect to various financial indicators (Gross Operating Profit, Room Profit and Food & Beverage Profit, etc.) there were no significant differences between the two types of hotel management model.

Особенности оценки эффективности менеджмента в современных организациях

The article deals with the problem of evaluating the effectiveness of management in modern organizations,
 highlights the concept of efficiency as a mandatory element of the activities. Currently, the social environment
 in which the organization operates has changed substantially. Russia´s transition to market economic
 fundamentals could not but affect the forms and methods of management of organizations. The problem of
 accurate assessment and management of business performance management has come to dominate the
 practice of management development processes of market globalization.
 For the smooth operation Organization requires regular monitoring and forecasting of development prospects
 of business segments efficiency dynamics to provide managers and businessmen the information they need
 to make timely decisions in the field of strategic, tactical and operational business management. Under these
 conditions, business analysis becomes vital for building an effective management system based on the
 strategic objectives of ensuring the unity of the various functional areas and management horizons.
 Monitoring is a specially organized, systematic observation of objects, phenomena and processes for
 assessment, control or prediction.
 The paper suggests a technique and an algorithm for monitoring the effectiveness and sustainability of
 enterprises, providing control of the results of activities and mutually beneficial transactions, thus expanding
 the possibilities of effectiveness management and enterprises’ sustainability, serving the best customer
 satisfaction.
 The authors pay attention to business reputation, which can be regarded as a market indicator of the
 company´s position in the business. They describe the role of goodwill in assessing the effectiveness of the
 organization´s management, the effects of positive and negative goodwill of the organization.

Product portfolio management – Targets and key performance indicators for product portfolio renewal over life cycle

The main purpose of this study is to widen the scope of product portfolio management (PPM) targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) to cover all phases of the product life cycle. Earlier research mainly covers PPM performance management within new product development (NPD) life cycle only. In addition, current challenges relating to PPM performance management over product life cycle are studied.The research method includes current state analysis based on both a thorough literature review and analysing ten case companies that represent hardware (HW), software (SW), services and solutions type businesses. The contribution is discussed and validated by a focus group consisting of all the case companies before making final conclusions.The principal results of this study include the potential framework for managing product portfolio renewal over the entire product life cycle based on strategic, tactical and operational performance measures. The PPM performance management, its business impact and connection to business processes and performance management dashboard are discussed.The role of PPM as a means of executive level dynamic performance management and decision making sets further questions for researchers’ for systematic product portfolio definitions, governance models, processes and tools over product life cycle.

Strategic Management of Business Performance Based on Innovations and Information Support in Specific Conditions of Slovakia

Business performance management and measurement is a relatively complex and difficult proc- ess, which is currently undergoing significant changes in terms of both theory and practice. Pre- viously used indicators, methods and models, largely based on financial indicators and methods of financial management, have been gradually modified and improved to provide owners and managers with a sufficient true and fair view of business performance. Despite the efforts for continuous improvement, it appears that the traditional management of enterprise performance based primarily on financial management hits its limits and companies around the world are beginning to promote new non-traditional indicators, methods and models, based primarily on non-financial, strategic and often qualitative indicators. We recommend that enterprises apply the selected methods and models of strategic business performance management in different industries of the Slovak Republic. By applying the selected strategic methods and models such as BSC, BI, strategic planning and controlling, innovations and others, a higher performance of companies can be achieved.

Improving the quality of technology-based innovations selection: a quality function deployment approach for retailers

Current advances in technology provide new tools for enhancing the quality of retail service and the subsequent consumers' shopping experience. The large availability of advanced systems, the speed of diffusion and the uncertainty involved in the process force retailers to reconsider how and when introduce these innovations for achieving an advantage over competitors. Hence, selecting the best system for their needs plays a critical role for the business profitability. Despite the importance of technology selection, there are still few works proposing decision support tools for retailers for enhancing this process. This paper suggests a new framework based on the quality function deployment (QFD) approach in order to figure out the best technologies according to retailers' expectations, consumers' needs and technical features, with benefits for the whole retail process. Strategic Business Performance Management on the Base of Controlling and Managerial Information Support

Abstract The paper present selected research results related to strategic business performance management carried out in Slovak industry enterprises. Measuring and managing of business performance is a complex and difficult process, which at the present time in the theory and corporate practice pass the significant changes. The theoretical part of the paper provides a detailed characterisation of the current state of affairs regarding the investigated strategic business performance management issue. We also analyze the possibility of controlling and controlling information support, based on Business Intelligence for the purpose of strategic business performance management. The following part of the paper defines the basic research methodology and expected contributions of the study. The aim of the paper is also to analyse and synthetize findings regarding the chosen, mainly not traditional methods and models, which have started to be used for strategic business performance management. The results of our empirical scientific study provides an interesting and valuable findings that the overall performance of industrial enterprises, it is necessary to look comprehensively strategically and not just in financial terms. Based on of our research, we recommend for industry enterprises to apply selected methods and models of strategic business performance management.

Strategic Business Performance Management System in Wood Processing Industry in Slovakia

Measuring and managing of business performance is a complex and difficult process, which at the present time passes through signifi cant changes in theory and practice. Previously used indicators, methods and models were mainly based on fi nancial indicators and methods of financial management. The problem of proving and relatively accurately quantifying the impact of financial indicators for the overall business performance in theory and practice of management has been fairly well solved. However, to identify and quantify the impact of qualitative non-financial indicators and methods of the management on the overall performance has so far been an issue that requires further scientific research in specific conditions of Slovak wood-processing industry. Based on statistical results of our research, wood processing industry enterprises should apply the selected methods and models of strategic business performance management. By applying the selected strategic methods and models, such as Balanced Scorecard, Business Intelligence, strategic planning and controlling, innovations and others, wood processing companies in Slovakia will achieve a better performance

Diagnosis-Related Groups (DRG) and Hospital Business Performance Management

Abstract The goal of this article is to present the possibility of using Diagnosis- Related Groups (DRG) in the hospital management process and to analyse the need for business performance management on the part of hospital management staff. The following research methods were used: literature analysis, case studies, and poll analysis. It is not possible to increase the effectiveness of operation of healthcare entities without increasing the importance of IT systems and using DRG more effectively in the management process. Training users in IT and the use of DRGs is important to achieving hospital effectiveness. The increased importance of analyses and planning in a hospital should be reflected in the organisational structure of service providers. Hospital controllers should have a similar role to those present in most companies in other industries.

Performance Management in Entrepreneurial Contexts

Using organizational performance management that is validated and used in active companies, this research aims to study business performance management in entrepreneurial frameworks. This study presents a conceptual approach based on some theories founded on the organizational performance management as a process, but adapted to the context of entrepreneurship. It is proposed the conceptual analysis and submitting the verification of the formulated hypotheses. An entrepreneurial framework is defined by some factors such as: entrepreneur, along with his personal and professional characteristics, who is the main actor of the so-called entrepreneurial process; business idea that entrepreneur wants to turn it into profitable business; market opportunity, which demonstrates that the business idea is valid, has novelty and can be fructified and developed; business plan, that needs to be well prepared in a very detailed manner and containing long run strategies; business start-up resources, including time resources allocated to implement the business plan, physical resources, information, financial and human resources; the environment where the business will be active; technology needed to develop the business activity. To study more closely the issue of performance management in entrepreneurial contexts, will be defined entrepreneurial performance management as a process, which can lead to the success rate of a business idea and to the rate of business sustainability. To perform this study it has been proposed a case study where an entrepreneur wants to develop a business in renewable energy, and more specifically, the development of a solar power plant that transforms solar energy into electricity, which then it’s been introduced into the national grid of electricity supply. So in this research will be studied the entire process by which the real business appears and a variant of the case that the solar power plant could be built in Romania and will be proposed a detailed system of performance indicators, specific to the entrepreneurial framework. Using a research methodology based on case study, this research has as a central objective, to define the entrepreneurial performance management through a set of specific performance indicators, which can then be used in practice, by entrepreneurs who want to start a new business in renewable energy.

PSO based time series models applied in exchange rate forecasting for business performance management

This research used the PSO algorithm to develop three new models, PSOGARCH, PSOEGARCH, and PSOGJR-GARCH, for improving business performance management. The tracking error methods are compared among the models in order to obtain a forecasting model with better performance. The three traditional time series models, GARCH, EGARCH, and GJR-GARCH, are used to undertake foreign exchange forecasting, and the results of these are compared to those of PSOGARCH, PSOEGARCH, and PSOGJR-GARCH models. The PSOGJR-GARCH model had the smallest error and the best forecasting ability, followed by the PSOEGARCH and PSOGARCH models, with the traditional GARCH models having the worst performance.

Research on the Management of Sports Organizations

This study is a part of a broader research approach that was undertaken to develop a strategy for developing sports organization, which was the diagnosis management of football clubs. Diagnosis management of football clubs was achieved by using a questionnaire -based survey and the SWOT analysis. By analyzing the results we found existing case management system and strategic directions identified are considered prerequisites to develop route praxiological organizational development strategy The assessment highlights the need opinion requiring redesign investigated sample management system to optimize business performance management to achieve sports. The problems facing sports organizations can be improved and depend on the capacity manager (strategist with economic vision and knowledge management) refer the crucial role of scientific management, ensuring favorable conditions for both clubs survival and for their development.

공공부분을 위한 IT 거버넌스 기반의 ITIL 관리 모델에 관한 연구

IT governance in order to achieve the strategic goals of the organization, leadership, organizational structure, and the process is defined. In order to achieve IT governance, organizational structure, leadership for spindle formation, maintenance, and standardized processes to specific and an effective ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) management model is needed. In this study, the K Authority Management Model of IT Governance ITIL - based research on service delivery and customer satisfaction through the effective information for ITSM (Information Technology Service Management, IT Service Management) building measures, information for business planning and performance management PMS (Project Management System, project Management System), survey on ICT service levels established through the process of planning and construction management models such as ITIL future research on the public portion of the proceeds from the ITIL management model can be utilized as a guideline when establishing a theoretical presents a base.
