Integrasi Etika AI dalam Pendidikan Agama Kristen: Tantangan dan Peluang

AI ethics is a branch of ethics that focuses on moral principles in the development and use of AI technologies. This research aims to integrate AI ethics in Christian religious education and explore the opportunities and challenges in the process, as well as strategies to overcome these challenges. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with literature studies from various sources such as books, national and international journals, and websites. The results show the importance of integrating AI ethics in Christian religious education to shape students' characters, prepare their future, and improve the quality of learning. Challenges faced include limited resources, digital divide, lack of understanding of AI ethics, and the need for adequate supervision and regulation. Strategies to address these challenges include improving technological infrastructure, training for teachers, and developing policies that support the integration of AI ethics in Christian religious education.

Moralitas di Era Digital: Tinjauan Filsafat tentang Technoethics

The current era of digitalization allows humans to live side by side with technology. However, this technology has two sides that have positive and negative impacts depending on how we use it. The negative impact of technology use is often caused by a lack of awareness of applicable ethics and norms. This is related to the philosophy of technology, namely technoethics or technology ethics, which is a branch of ethics that deals with moral issues arising from the development and use of technology. The aim of this research is to find out how humans use technology. This research uses the literature study method, the subjects of this research are journals, articles, and books. Research data was taken from secondary data such as journals, articles, and books, then analyzed using descriptive analysis methods. From the results of the research carried out, it can be concluded that based on the literature review, Technoethics tries to handle ethical problems that arise from technological developments and ensures that technology is used responsibly and in accordance with ethical values

Bioethic principals for researching and health attention for trans woman

The name of transgender woman is given to that person whose sex assigned at birth is not consistent with their gender identity or expression. Mexico occupies the second place in transfeminicides. Furthermore, the acts of violence and discrimination, also afflict this group and can be related to negative perceptions towards trans women. On the other hand, health care for trans women turns out to be inadequate because it does not cover their needs. Likewise, within the field of research in Mexico, studies that focus on trans women are scarce. Based on the aforementioned, it is evident that this population remains in a vulnerable state, and it infers incongruously in the bioethical principles that should cover this group. For this reason, bioethics is the branch of ethics that aims to provide dignified and humanized treatment of human life based on four principles: 1) beneficence, 2) non-maleficence, 3) autonomy, and 4) justice. Currently, greater awareness is required among both health service providers and researchers to provide timely care and inclusion in research protocols, which allows the generation of more epidemiological information on trans women.

The Ethical Philosophy of Eudaimonism by Ibn Sina Based on An-Nakhjuwānī’s Work Syarḥ al-Isyārāt

This article examines a branch of philosophy that answers practical questions about human action concerning their values, principles and norms that determine whether an action is appropriate or not, good or not, beneficial or not for oneself, namely ethics. The problem is that in many classical literatures, this branch of ethics always discusses happiness or eudaimonism; that is, the extent to which one’s understanding of happiness, pleasure, and enjoyment is achieved. The question is what is the relationship between happiness and ethics, and why is it an important issue? The research originating from the textual study of two manuscript texts, namely Akmaluddīn an-Nakhjuwānī's work entitled “Syarḥ al-Isyārāt” on Ibn Sīnā's work entitled “Al-Isyārāt wa al-Tanbīhāt,” will address this issue by analyzing the content within the texts. The results of this study reveal that the ethicalphilosophy presented is deeply influenced by Islamic nuances, although the Peripatetic traditionis also strongly present in its perspective. It can be said that the described concept of ethics is highly eschatological. As an implication, an-Nakhjuwānī's ethical philosophy also reveals the spiritual side of Ibn Sīnā, who is generally known as a highly rational philosopher. This research also uncovers that an-Nakhjuwānī's ethical discourse displays more religious terms compared to Ibn Sīnā.

Quality in medicine as a deontological requirement

Medical practice has two main dimensions, one scientific and the other human, and in both, the commitment of the doctor is essential. Medical deontology, as a branch of ethics that deals with the duties and obligations of doctors, embodies in the codes of deontology the ethical principles and standards of mandatory compliance. From this point, medical practice should guarantee that patients receive an quality medical care, and to be treated with dignity and respect. In December 2022, the General Council of Official Medical Associations of Spain published a new version of the Spanish Code of Medical Ethics that aims, among other purposes, to standardize medical care of scientific and human quality. Medical practice supported by scientifically-based medicine, lex artis medica, patient safety, professional responsibility, honesty and integrity are some of the aspects that in this updated document of medical ethics frame and define the work of the doctor for a performance of medicine with quality.

It can be surmised that the Philippines in the 21st-century is headed towards the direction of accepting those who do not classify themselves in one of the gender binaries and those who do not believe that heteronormativity is the natural sexual orientation. The goal of this study is to inquire whether this is the case as there are some people who tend to display their natural contempt for the members of LGBTQIA+ community as in the case of Manny Pacquiao apologizing for the remarks that he had made about homosexual acts sans the willingness to reflect and change their biases for the sake of religion. I would like to show how the principles of meta-ethics, which is a branch of ethics that deals with the nature of ethical assertions, can be applied to the discourses on gender and sexuality and their implications to education by doing thematic analysis.

Duty and pleasure in Brouwer’s HIV rhetoric

ABSTRACT In this short essay, we read Dan Brouwer's scholarship on HIV rhetoric through the philosophical lens of hedonics, a branch of ethics that preoccupies itself with the relationship between duty and pleasure. In doing so, we draw attention to the corporeal, affective, and symbolic dimensions of pleasure inherent in his writings. We gesture toward three ethics cultivated from Brouwer's work: an ethics of legibility, of multiplicity, and of care.

AWARENESS OF MEDICAL DOCTORS ABOUT MEDICAL ETHICS IN KING KHALID HOSPITAL IN ALMAJMAAH CITY 2016 - 2017

Background:Medical ethics known as a branch of ethics that deals with moral issues which guide a member of the medical profession in their dealing with each other, their profession and patients.Theprinciples of ethics are including autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, and justice.So, the importance of ethics in medical field that it will strengthen the relationship between the physician and the patient. In addition to that it trains the doctor to deal with his patients as whole human being not a sick body achieving by that the holistic approach. It also improves the skills and the analytical thinking of the clinician like asking questions and problem solving skills. Objective:To study the Awareness of Medical Doctors towards medical ethics in King Khalid Hospital In Almajmaah 2016-2017 Methodology:This study is a descriptive cross sectional hospital based, conducted in King khalid hospital in Almajmaah city,a sample of 90 doctors were chosen randomly, Informed consents were taken from the doctors, and a permission was taken from the ethical committee in the university and from KKH administration. Results:Overall majority of participants had moderate awareness of medical ethics (76.83%),while (15.85%)were with low awareness, and (7.32%)had high awareness. Significant association between specialty and awareness of medical ethics was observed, while no significant association between experience and awareness of medical ethics.

Bioetička edukacija na teološkim fakultetima Univerziteta u Sarajevu

U okviru Univerziteta u Sarajevu egzistiraju dva teološka fakulteta, Fakultet islamskih nauka i Katolički bogoslovni fakultet. Obje visokoobrazovne institucije dugo vremena nisu bile u sastavu navedenog sveučilišta, budući da su obitavale isključivo pod okriljem religijskih institucija. Na navedenim fakultetima izučavaju se, pored teoloških, i svjetovni moduli, te je primjetno da se polju bioetike daje posebno mjesto kao jednome od neophodnih suvremenih segmenata odgojno-obrazovnog procesa. Analogno rečenome, u tekstu je načinjena razdioba studijskih programa, tj. istaknuto je gradiranje znanstvenih i stručnih ciklusa u obrazovnome procesu, kako na Fakultetu islamskih nauka, gdje se nastava izvodi na dodiplomskom, diplomskom te doktorskom studiju, tako i na Katoličkom bogoslovnom fakultetu, gdje je ustaljen integrirani studij teologije, pored kojega je već nekoliko godina još zastupljen diplomski studij Međureligijski studij i izgradnja mira, koji se provodi u suradnji s Fakultetom islamskih nauka i Pravoslavnim bogoslovskim fakultetom Sv. Vasilija Ostroškog iz Foče. Pravoslavni bogoslovski fakultet je zapravo sastavnica Univerziteta u Istočnome Sarajevu, stoga nije uzet u razmatranje u ovome radu. Autori rada razmatranju bioetičkih problema pristupali su iz pozicije praktičke filozofije, tj. njene grane etike, koristeći pri tome interdisciplinarni i pluriperspektivni pristup. Na osnovi silabusa načinjena je analiza bioetičkih problema primarno iz filozofskog (etičkog) motrišta, analizirani su predmetni udžbenici i literatura. Naravno, vodilo se računa o radovima nastavnika s ovih institucija, koji su pisani iz polja bioetike. Bez obzira na različito religijsko fundiranje bioetičkih problema na ova dva fakulteta,u smislu različitih epistemičkih polazišta islama i kršćanstva, u zaključcima rada ukazano je na točke zajedničkog ,,bioetičkog“ interesa, ali i razilaženja među njima.

Concept of bioethics in ayurveda

Medical Ethics is the branch of ethics that deals with moral issues in medical practice. Bioethics deals with ethical issues in health profession, medicine and science. Bioethics and its application are practiced from ancient period. The awareness of ethics helps health professionals to recognize difficult conditions and to deal with them in a proper way. The main aim was to study the concepts of ethics given in classics of Ayurveda as well as in conventional medicine. By reviewing the literature of Ayurveda and conventional medicine. There are four basic principles of bioethics namely autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence and justice which are known as “Principlism”. Originally, Ayurveda has advocated an ethical code of conduct in various aspects. This paper mainly focus on studying universally accepted principles of bioethics along with bioethics described in Ayurveda. It was observed that Ethical code of conduct is elaborately and very clearly defined and described in classics of Ayurveda in the form of Sadvritta, Chatushpada, Yogya, Vaidyavritti, Aachara Rasayana, Nidanparivarjana and Pathyapathya. Hence, Ayurveda should be considered as a pioneer in setting up the basics of bioethics. Medical ethics is a fundamental part of Ayurveda and its inclusion in medical teaching and in day to day practice will definitely pave way to excellent results.

Examining the Role of Organizational Virtue in Professional Ethics Augmentation

As a new branch of ethics, professional ethics seeks to respond to the ethical issues of various professions. Today, professional ethics has a strategic role in businesses, and strategic management specialists have identified appropriate ethical principles in an organization as a precondition for a quality strategic management. Professional ethics is the most important tool of business and administrative activities, but unfortunately in our religious community, there is no respect for professional ethics in the workplace. Organizational virtues which refer to the qualified behavior of organization members can play an important role in displaying the professional ethics. So, this study examines the role of organizational virtue in the development of professional ethics of Maskan Bank staff in Ardabil. To this end, organizational virtue was examined in five categories including optimism, trust, compassion, integrity, and forgiveness. Professional ethics was examined in eight dimensions of accountability, virtue and competitiveness, honesty, respect for others, respect towards social values and norms, justice, compassion for others, and loyalty. This applied study is a descriptive-survey research using a questionnaire. The sample included 118 employees of Maskan Bank of Ardabil. Data analysis was performed using Pearson and multivariate regression analysis. The results indicated that organizational virtue had a significant positive effect on the staff’s professional ethics. Optimism had the highest impact on the professional ethics of the staff and the least significance was related to forgiveness.

Assessment of perceived needs and preferences with regard to the education of residents in Medical Ethics in King Abdulaziz University Hospital.

INTRODUCTION:Medical ethics is the branch of ethics that deals with moral issues in medical practice. Many postgraduate training programs have developed educational interventions in ethics to meet accreditation standards and prepare learners for certification examinations and clinical practice. The aim of this study was to assess the attitude of residents in King Abdulaziz University Hospital (KAUH) toward the need for ethics education and identify the most effective methods of teaching ethical issues.MATERIALS AND METHODS:A cross-sectional study of residents in different specialties at KAUH was conducted using a self-administered questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of four parts: demographic data, assessment of the educational need for ethics education, assessment of the impact of various learning methods, and assessment of the need for ethically important practices and behavior. SPSS version 16.0 was used for data entry and analysis. Descriptive analysis included frequency distribution, percentages, mean, and standard deviation (SD); Chi-square test and t-test were employed to determine statistical significance.RESULTS:Eighty-eight of the 102 residents invited to participate in the study returned completed questionnaires, providing a response rate of 86.3%. Their ages ranged between 24 and 38 years with a mean of 27.7 (standard deviation 2.8) years. Approximately two-thirds of the residents (65.9%) agreed that medical ethics can be taught and learned while only 19.3% of them disagreed. The most effective methods of ethical education according to the residents were discussion groups of peers led by a knowledgeable clinician (78.4%), clinical rounds (72.7%), and an incorporation of ethical issues into lectures and teaching rounds (69.3%).CONCLUSION:This study documents the importance residents placed on ethics education directed at practical, real-world dilemmas and ethically important professional developmental issues.

What is data ethics?

This theme issue has the founding ambition of landscaping data ethics as a new branch of ethics that studies and evaluates moral problems related to data (including generation, recording, curation, processing, dissemination, sharing and use), algorithms (including artificial intelligence, artificial agents, machine learning and robots) and corresponding practices (including responsible innovation, programming, hacking and professional codes), in order to formulate and support morally good solutions (e.g. right conducts or right values). Data ethics builds on the foundation provided by computer and information ethics but, at the same time, it refines the approach endorsed so far in this research field, by shifting the level of abstraction of ethical enquiries, from being information-centric to being data-centric. This shift brings into focus the different moral dimensions of all kinds of data, even data that never translate directly into information but can be used to support actions or generate behaviours, for example. It highlights the need for ethical analyses to concentrate on the content and nature of computational operations-the interactions among hardware, software and data-rather than on the variety of digital technologies that enable them. And it emphasizes the complexity of the ethical challenges posed by data science. Because of such complexity, data ethics should be developed from the start as a macroethics, that is, as an overall framework that avoids narrow, ad hoc approaches and addresses the ethical impact and implications of data science and its applications within a consistent, holistic and inclusive framework. Only as a macroethics will data ethics provide solutions that can maximize the value of data science for our societies, for all of us and for our environments.This article is part of the themed issue 'The ethical impact of data science'.

Working on the inside: Ronald Dworkin's moral philosophy

In my 2009 book Moral Realism as a Moral Doctrine, I argued that morality is objective in several distinct though overlapping senses, and I further maintained that questions about the objectivity of morality are substantive moral questions (albeit usually at high levels of abstraction). In the course of that book, I made several laudatory references to Ronald Dworkin’ s well-known 1996 article ‘ Objectivity and Truth’ as well as to some of his other writings. In regard to the two main themes of my book that have just been mentioned, I took myself to be firmly allied with Dworkin. Though Moral Realism as a Moral Doctrine adverts only occasionally to his work, it makes clear my esteem for his reconception of meta-ethics as a branch of ethics. At a few other junctures in my 2009 volume, however, I criticized Dworkin. My criticisms were focused not on his legal philosophy ─ with which I have sustainedly taken issue elsewhere ─ but instead on some of his ethical positions. One such position to which I took exception is his value-monism. That is, I took exception to his opting for the hedgehog side of the ancient hedgehog/fox dichotomy that was made famous in modern times by Isaiah Berlin. Dworkin’ s allegiance to the former side of that dichotomy is starkly proclaimed by the title of his sprawlingly ambitious recent book Justice for Hedgehogs. In what follows, I will leave aside many sections of that impressive tome in order to concentrate on the main portion that deals with meta-ethics and on one portion that deals with the putative unity of value. Given that I am almost entirely in agreement with the former portion and largely in disagreement with the latter, this brief review will naturally impugn Dworkin’ s assumption that his anti-Archimedeanism and his value-monism are integrally connected

The Role of Bioethics on Sustainability of Environmental Education

While efforts used to be exerted to develop regulatory-fixing tools in order to find solutions for environmental problems in the beginning, collective solutions are now sought as people figured out the global nature of the effects caused by the problem. Despite the fact that people keep on trying to solve the issue by means of science and technology, the main focus has shifted towards implementation of individual-oriented socio-economic, political and intellectual tools. One of the most important tools developed in this field is “environmental education”. Environmental education which aims at showing human not as the only main element of the nature but as a part of the process in harmony with other pieces is developing some guiding tools in formulating common concerns for humanity and sharing the responsibilities, by virtue of which it becomes a part of the solution in global scale by shouldering some roles in transformation of systems and changing production and consumption behaviors. Bioethics, which can be classified as a branch of ethics, proclaims itself to assume key roles to develop and implement relevant tools.

The concept of bioethics and it’s scope

The current epoch is characterized by the production and supply of new biomedical technologies, the supply of which has resulted in philosophical, ethical, religious and social debates and challenges. These biotechnologies include artificial fertilization and babies in vitro, animal and human cloning, obtaining fetus stem cells and exploiting them, euthanasia, the manufacture of human tissues and organs, and implantation. In view of these widespread questions, ambiguities and challenges in the area of biotechnologies, applied ethics as a branch of normative ethics has become responsible for supporting the examination and explanation of these subjects and for finding accurate answers about them on the basis of known moral theories and ethical principles. Hence, bioethics as a new sub-branch of applied ethics, in facing these debates and problems resulting from the emergence of new biomedical technologies, has developed in recent decades and has become liable for the explanation of the principles and guidelines for resolving those difficulties. In this essay, the author attempts to provide an inclusive and precise definition of bioethics and to describe its location between different branches of ethics as well as to delineate its scope and boundaries.

Review: Reality and imagination in political theory and practice: On Raymond Geuss’s realism

Can political theory be action-guiding without relying on pre-political normative commitments? I answer that question affirmatively by unpacking two related tenets of Raymond Geuss’ political realism: the view that political philosophy should not be a branch of ethics, and the ensuing empirically-informed conception of legitimacy. I argue that the former idea can be made sense of by reference to Hobbes’ account of authorization, and that realist legitimacy can be normatively salient in so far as it stands in the correct relation to a theory of justice and problematizes its sources of value through what Geuss terms ‘political imagination’.

Moral and Epistemic Virtues: A Thomistic and Analytical Perspective

The article elaborates on the concept of ethics, noting the contrasting definitions of morality virtue-based and rule-based ethics. It highlights the related distinction between virtue epistemology and rule epistemology, stating that the main difference lies in the appreciation of the ethics of belief by either discipline. It also discusses the claim by philosopher Linda Zagzebski that epistemology is a branch of ethics, focusing on the contrary arguments including the perspectives of Saint Thomas Aquinas.
