Pesantren dalam Era Digital: Antara Tradisi dan Transformasi

It is hoped that this research can contribute to understanding the dynamics of Islamic boarding schools in the digital era and how Islamic boarding schools can remain relevant to current developments without losing their traditional identity. Until now, Islamic boarding schools still adhere to three patterns of education system. The educational patterns or systems in question include traditional, modernist and revivalist Islamic boarding schools. Traditional Islamic boarding schools prioritize four basic concepts as the foundation of education, namely tasamuh, ta'addul, tawazun and tawasut. Modernity Islamic boarding school is a form of modern Islamic boarding school that pays attention to change so that it remains relevant with the times. This research uses a qualitative approach with the library research method, which aims to examine the concept of digital Islamic boarding schools through written sources, including books, scientific articles, research reports and other relevant documents. The main data sources in this research consist of: books discussing technological developments in Islamic boarding schools, the Islamic boarding school education system, and digital transformation in the world of Islamic education. Data collection was carried out by searching literature from various sources, both print and online. The data that has been collected will be analyzed descriptively using the thematic analysis method.

Entrepreneurship Education and Independence of Students of Ulfiyah Progressive Islamic Boarding School, Segeran Kidul Juntinyuat Indramayu, Indonesia

Entrepreneurship education in Islamic boarding schools plays a crucial role in shaping the independence of students, especially in the era of globalization that demands adaptation and innovation. Ulfiyah Progressive Islamic Boarding School in Segeran Kidul, Juntinyuat, Indramayu, Indonesia has implemented an entrepreneurship education program with the hope of producing students who not only master religious knowledge but also have the ability to become entrepreneurs. However, despite the ideal framework that is expected, the reality in the field shows significant challenges, including limited funding sources, lack of quality mentors, and resistance to change among students. This study aims to explore more deeply the concept and implementation of entrepreneurship education and the challenges faced, students' responses to the program, and the impact of the education on the economic independence of alumni. Using a descriptive qualitative research method, the research subjects included the head of the foundation, the head of the boarding school, the person in charge of the program, teachers, students, alumni, and parents of students. The results of the study show that although entrepreneurship education in Islamic boarding schools faces various challenges, there are positive steps taken to overcome these problems. With the right approach and adequate support, entrepreneurship education can have a significant impact on the economic independence of students, thus supporting the vision of Islamic boarding schools to create an independent and competitive generation.

Pengembangan Model Sistem Penjaminan Mutu Internal di Pondok Pesantren

The community has the right and responsibility for the existence of quality educational institutions. similar to the regulations contained in Law Number 18 of 2019 concerning Islamic boarding schools that the implementation of an internal quality assurance system absolutely must be carried out well. However, based on the results of research conducted in several Islamic boarding schools in Bogor, we do not fully understand the stages of quality assurance. Several existing Islamic boarding schools have a quality assurance team but they are not the oldest in the organizational structure. This means that the human resources appointed as the quality assurance team include but are not legally formalized in a decision letter, this means that the Islamic boarding school implements quality assurance components but is not implemented administratively. This research aims to first, analyze the need for developing an internal quality assurance system model in Islamic boarding schools. Second, to develop an internal quality assurance system model in Islamic boarding schools. Third, to test the feasibility of the internal quality assurance system model in Islamic boarding schools. The research uses the Research and Development method, using the ADDIE model. The results of the research findings showed that the analysis of the need for developing an internal quality assurance system in Islamic boarding schools was carried out in the first two stages of the field needs analysis consisting of 9 Islamic boarding schools with 11 respondents. The conclusion was that 100% of respondents needed an internal quality assurance system model for Islamic boarding schools to guarantee the quality of education. boarding school. Second, document analysis consisting of internal quality assurance system documents issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture's primary and secondary education, as well as internal quality assurance system regulations issued by law number 18 of 2019 concerning Islamic boarding schools, became a reference in preparing a model for the internal quality assurance system in Islamic boarding schools. . Teachers as Catalysts for Shaping Religious Character in Youth

General Background: The youth are pivotal for national development and are increasingly required to navigate the complexities of a technologically advanced world. Specific Background: Despite this necessity, many young individuals are ill-prepared for technological engagement and often misuse these tools, which adversely affects their character. Character education is critical and must be integrated into both formal and non-formal educational systems. Knowledge Gap: While the role of Islamic boarding schools in character education is acknowledged, the specific contributions of teachers within this context remain underexplored. Aims: This research aims to elucidate the role of teachers in fostering a generation of religious professionals at the Wali Barokah Islamic Boarding School in Kediri, East Java. Results: Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation, revealing that teachers serve as facilitators, motivators, and role models. Findings indicated that teachers received a high observation score of 91%, highlighting their effectiveness in character formation. Novelty: This study provides a comprehensive examination of how teacher involvement directly influences the development of religious character among students, emphasizing the multifaceted role teachers play in Islamic education. Implications: The results underscore the necessity for enhanced teacher training and support to strengthen character education in Islamic boarding schools, thereby equipping the next generation with the moral framework needed to successfully navigate contemporary challenges and contribute positively to society. Supervision of Education and Implementation of Santri Character Formation in Pesantren

The character of santri is one of the objectives of implementing educational supervision in Islamic boarding school education units. The aim of this research is to analyze and interpret the implementation of educational supervision in forming the character of santri in the educational unit at the Darussalam Islamic Boarding School Blokagung Banyuwangi, East Java, Indonesia. This research approach method uses a qualitative case study with key informants, the Head of education and teaching and members of the quality assurance unit using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model. The research results show that the character of santri who require continuous coaching is related to increased behavior, responsibility, honesty, discipline, thriftiness, caring and independence. Implementing supervision of santri character education as an evaluation of the implementation of institutional quality assurance by continuing to improve coordination, communication and collaboration in handling student problems. Integrated development that is controlled through standard operating procedures as an evaluation of the results of monitoring the character of santri and improving governance can be an effort to improve the quality of education.

TECHNOLOGY-BASED EDUCATION MANAGEMENT IN SALAF ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOLS

This research aims to explore how salaf pesantren that are thick with traditional nuances can manage educational technology in their environment. This qualitative research with a case study approach involves in-depth observation and interviews with kyai, pesantren administrators, teachers, and students as an important part of collecting data which is then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. Research conducted at the Al Fadhlu salaf Islamic boarding school, Brangsong District, Kendal Regency, shows that in managing the use of technology, pesantren packages it into online and offline learning forms. Online technology is implemented through the use of social media such as YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram as da'wah media, while offline technology management relies on simple technology such as the use of PowerPoint in learning and laptops as a means of correspondence. In the aspect of curriculum management, the findings of this study show that pesantren have developed effective strategies for technology implementation, such as providing information technology subjects to students. This finding rejects the assumption that salaf pesantren only rely on traditional learning, on the contrary, proving that even though it seems traditional, salaf pesantren still adopts and teaches technology to its students. This research makes a significant contribution by showing that the use of technology can update education in salaf Islamic boarding schools, combining traditional values with technological advances to improve the overall quality of education.

IMPLEMENTASI KONSEP MUROBBI DALAM BIMBINGAN KONSELING SANTRI DI PONDOK PESANTREN DARUL AMANAH BEDONO JAMBU KABUPATEN SEMARANG

Recently, the education system has transformed with the integration of Islamic boarding schools and formal education, known as the modern Islamic boarding school education system. Each institution has its own issues, but they prioritize Quran memorization, foreign languages, leadership, management, teaching materials, parenting, local culture, and religion. This study aims to examine the Murobbi superior program at Darul Amanah Bedono Islamic Boarding School in Semarang Regency. Quoting from Abdul Rahman's essay entitled "The Concept of Murabbi in the Qur'an" Ibnu Jauzī found that the importance of knowledge lies in the disclosure of a murabbī. The author uses a qualitative descriptive method in this study to collect secondary data from journals, books, theses, and websites, along with data and researcher triangulation. The results of this research are based on the theory of counseling guidance services through murobbi, from here the word "murobbi" becomes a new term used instead of the word "caregiving". From this, the Murobbi concept from the perspective of Islamic education which is applied in the education system at the Darul Amanah Bedono Islamic Boarding School institution is very effective and efficient, because it is not only the students who receive lessons, but the Murobbi also gain new experience and knowledge regarding, 1) how to educate , 2) fostering, 3) nurturing, and 4) supervising students. The results suggest that using the Murobbi concept in counseling is beneficial due to its positive impact on guiding, caring, educating, and learning.

Application of Character Education in the Modern Islamic Boarding School Curriculum

Character education is an important aspect in students' personal development, especially in a modern pesantren environment that integrates religious and general education. This study aims to explore the application of character education in the modern pesantren curriculum and its impact on student development. The method used is a case study on several modern Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia, focusing on the strategy, implementation, and evaluation of character education programs. The results of the study show that modern Islamic boarding schools apply various approaches in educating students' character, including the integration of religious values, experiential learning, and extracurricular activities that support character development. The implementation has a positive impact on student attitudes and behaviors, such as increased discipline, responsibility, and empathy. This study concludes that the curriculum of modern Islamic boarding schools that integrate character education can make a significant contribution to the formation of students' character, and recommends a more structured and sustainable approach to improve the effectiveness of character education in Islamic boarding schools.

Hakikat Manajemen Pendidikan Agama Islam Multikultural di Pesantren Multidimensi Al-Fakhriyah Makassar

This research was conducted at the Multidimensi Islamic boarding school of Al-Fakhriyah Makassar. This pesantren is a modern pesantren but does not leave the culture of Salafi style, which has diverse students from various tribes, races, ethnicities, social classes, different skin colors, and regional origins. As a result of this diversity, this pesantren must have good management. The purpose of this study is to explore and analyze the form of multicultural Islamic religious education management in the Multidimensi Islamic boarding school of Al-Fakhriyah Makassar. Researchers use qualitative research methods with a case study approach, data collection using participatory observation, structured and unstructured interviews, and documentation, and then the data is processed by analyzing it through an interactive model proposed by Miles and Huberman. The result of this study is that the management of multicultural Islamic religious education in the Multidimensi Islamic boarding school of Al-Fakhriyah Makassar runs quite effectively and efficiently; all activities are carried out well, and multicultural values have been seen, although there are still a handful of perpetrators of discrimination. According to researchers, this problem can be overcome by adding more supervision and attention and updating the management related to the organizing system. Management of Santri Character Education in Answering the Challenges of Modernity in the Era of Globalization

Islamic boarding schools in their development are required to make changes in line with the demands of the world with the advancement of science in life. Islamic boarding schools consciously adapt to globalization as a dynamic that cannot be avoided, this global current causes changes in all aspects of life, including in the world of education, and Islamic boarding schools also participate in the assimilation of science and modern technology. The Islamic boarding school education system has shifted towards a more positive direction, structurally and culturally concerning leadership patterns, leadership and santri relationship patterns, communication patterns, and decision-making methods. Islamic boarding schools respond to changes that occur by revitalizing teaching patterns so that they are able to grow scientific traditions and give birth to generations of learning, revitalizing pesantren leadership patterns so that they are more open to all changes, and revitalizing a more conducive, comprehensive and empowering learning environment.

Kontroversi Kurikulum Pesantren dan Tantangan dalam Membangun Standar Mutu Pendidikan : Menemukan Keseimbangan antara Tradisi dan Modernisasi

The Islamic boarding school curriculum is considered not to suit the demands of the modern world. There are also challenges for Islamic boarding schools to improve the quality standards of their education. This research aims to determine curriculum design and improve the quality standards of Islamic boarding school education in achieving a balance of tradition and modernization. The research uses a qualitative approach with the literature study method. Data collection techniques use document studies in the form of journals, books and other sources. Data analysis uses content analysis. Research findings show that there is educational curriculum controversy and challenges to quality standards in Islamic boarding schools. Several solutions were found, namely: Development of an integrated and interdisciplinary curriculum, teacher training and development, use of technology in education, collaboration with other Islamic education institutions, and continuous evaluation. This solution must be implemented with the principle of continuity and change.

The Role of Self-Awareness in Mediating the Influence of Islamic Boarding School Policies and Regulations on the Competency Development of Santri: PLS-SEM Approach

Self-awareness allows individuals to be more aware of how they respond to lodge policies and regulations. They will be better able to be aware of these policies and regulations in influencing their behavior, attitudes, thought patterns, and competency development. This research explores the role of self-awareness in mediating the influence of Islamic boarding school policies and regulations and competency development. Quantitative methods with PLS-SEM analysis were used to test the feasibility of discriminant validity and research hypotheses. Data was collected through a questionnaire with 50 students at the Al-Idris Islamic Boarding School, Banyudono, Ponorogo using the purposive sampling method. The results of the analysis show that Islamic boarding school policies have a significant positive effect on self-awareness (β=0.521; ρ=0.000) and competency development (β=0.295; ρ=0.014). Furthermore, self-awareness was proven not to mediate the influence of policies (β=0.125; ρ=0.103) and Islamic boarding school regulations (β=0.075; ρ=0.129) on the competency development of students. The research results show that student self-awareness is strongly influenced by Islamic boarding school policies and regulations, which in turn support the development of student Competency. The implications of this study show the importance of education that focuses on developing students' self-awareness as part of efforts to prepare them to participate actively in society. The suggestion from this study is that Islamic boarding school education should focus more on developing self-awareness as a strategic step in developing their competency.

Pendidikan Islam Moderat di Pondok Pesantren Tanbihul Ghofiliin Banjarnegara

This study aims to explore the practice of moderate Islamic education in pesantren. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The primary data sources come from interviews with the Kiai, the head of pesantren, the education section, and the board of supervisors of the pesantren management. This study's results indicate that moderate Islamic education in Islamic boarding schools refers to the teachings of Ahlussunnah wal Jama'ah. The practice begins with the planning stage of activities and learning. This planning is the basis for moderate Islamic education by learning yellow books (kitab kuning) and various educational activities and cultures. In these activities, the values ​​and insights of Islamic moderation are internalized through insertion patterns. Pesantren has also collaborated with various parties outside the pesantren in socializing insights oriented towards moderate Islam. The experts presented are Ahlussunnah wal Jama'ah scholars who have moderate views.

Bimbingan Teknik Reinforcement dalam Meningkatkan Target Hafalan Santri

This article examines reinforcement techniques in memorizing the Al-Quran. Memorizing the AlQuran is a special part that cannot be separated from Islamic boarding school education. Memorizing is not an extracurricular lesson like in public schools. However, it is one of the main lessons at Islamic boarding schools. In Islamic teachings, memorizing the Al-Quran is a command from Allah SWT. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. This research observes the implementation of guidance using reinforcement techniques carried out by teachers at the Ma'hadul Qur'an Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Sukorejo to help deal with students' memorization problems. The research results showed that the guidance process using reinforcement techniques was successful. Guidance is carried out using behavioral therapy, then continued with reinforcement techniques. The results of this technique can make students aware that what they have been doing so far can be detrimental to themselves and these students realize that successful people are diligent people, not lazy people.

Boarding School Education for Students with Special Needs

Boarding school education is an approach that plays a crucial role in supporting the development of students with special needs. This study aims to explore the positive impact of boarding school education on the development of students with special needs and the factors influencing the effectiveness of boarding school education. The method employed is a systematic literature review (SLR), conducting a search for academic articles through the Google Scholar academic database, using keywords such as boarding school education and students with special needs published within the last ten years (2015-2024). The findings indicate that boarding school education provides an intensive and structured educational environment that supports the holistic development of students with special needs. Through effective collaboration among all these factors, it can be concluded that boarding school education serves as a solution to support students with special needs in reaching their maximum potential within the social and academic environment.

Design Of Digital Learning Media for Optimizing Automatic Control System Learning with PLTS Power Supply on Traffic Lights at Bali Land Transportation Polytechnic

Becoming an educator is more challenging than imagined because educators must be adept at managing the classroom to ensure that learning activities are not repetitive or similar. If an educator relies on just one or two teaching methods repeatedly, it can make learning monotonous. It is important to consider a variety of teaching methods, such as group discussions, project assignments, problem-solving, simulations, or the use of diverse learning media. The education system in state vocational schools under the Ministry of Transportation implements a boarding school education system. In the boarding school education system, where students, in this case, Taruna, are involved in activities throughout the day, the learning process inside the classroom becomes less effective. Therefore, it is crucial to introduce engaging and effective learning media. The use of digital learning media is an appropriate method to address this issue. By utilizing digital learning media, it can enhance students' interest, clarify learning materials, provide variation in teaching methods, and involve students in the learning process. This research aims to design effective learning media for the SKO course by utilizing PLTS technology as a power supply for APILL in the learning process at the Land Transportation Polytechnic. In this research, the main focus is on students, the development of digital learning media, and the implementation of automatic control systems.

Assertive Ability Based on Gender Differences Students of Tahfidz Quran Middle School Pontianak, West Kalimantan

Islamic-based secondary schools, with a boarding school education concept, aim to train children to deepen their knowledge of religion. In reality, boarding schools are the trigger for widespread cases of bullying. Busy activities at school and continued rote activities in the dormitory create boredom and pressure for students. This becomes a stimulus for emotional explosions for students and female students. This research aims to describe the findings of the assertive level abilities of santriwan and santriwati based on gender differences, because life in the dormitory is led by ustad and ustadzah with different characters. Apart from that, it describes an understanding of the form of an assertive attitude and reflects the feelings of santri and female students in being assertive. The mix method research method includes qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative descriptive data analysis activities include collecting data in in-depth interviews, observation and assertive scales, reflecting on experiences and at the same time training students. The research subjects were 80 people consisting of 2 classes, namely class VII and VIII with a gender division of 37 santri and 43 santriwati. The researcher carried out data triangulation, both time, place and data until the data was saturated to process the interview data. Research findings show that students are more able to be assertive by avoiding situations they don't like, refusing with the word "don't want to", because they are afraid of the rules and being angry with the ustad. female students have a weak assertive ability to refuse, because they are embarrassed and feel loyal to their friendship group, but some of the female students are very firm in refusing and reporting threatening and unpleasant situations to the ustadzah. In conclusion, a form of assertive training is needed for self-strength and self-confidence for students and female students to avoid bullying.

Islamic Boarding Education Management Reform: Transformation Strategies to Improve Competitiveness and Relevance

This study explores the reform of Islamic boarding school (pesantren) education management and transformation strategies aimed at enhancing competitiveness and relevance in the context of globalization and modern educational challenges. The focus is on understanding how pesantren can adapt and thrive in the evolving educational landscape. Utilizing a qualitative approach, this literature review examines various sources related to pesantren education management reforms and transformation strategies implemented in several Indonesian pesantren. The study systematically analyzes existing literature to identify key themes and insights. The findings reveal significant challenges faced by pesantren, including outdated management practices, limited resources, and resistance to change. However, several pesantren have successfully implemented transformation strategies such as curriculum modernization, the integration of technology in teaching, and the development of partnerships with external educational institutions. These strategies have significantly improved the competitiveness and relevance of these institutions. The study highlights the critical role of stakeholders, including educators, administrators, and policymakers, in driving the reform process. Effective leadership, community involvement, and continuous professional development are identified as crucial factors in achieving successful transformations. The insights gained underscore the importance of adaptive and innovative approaches in education management to meet contemporary demands. This research provides valuable insights into the strategies and challenges of reforming pesantren education management. The successful implementation of transformation strategies can enhance the competitiveness and relevance of pesantren, enabling them to meet the demands of modern education and globalization. Future research should focus on longitudinal studies to assess the long-term impact of these reforms and explore additional strategies to further improve pesantren education management.

Integrating Buddhist Ethics into Boarding School Education : Character Development at Pasastrian Kusalamitra, Gunung Kidul, Indonesia

This study aims to explore Buddhist character values focused on the educational processes at Pasastrian Kusalamitra Gunung Kidul and how these values are implemented within the boarding school context to develop student character. The study method used was descriptive with a qualitative approach, including interviews, focus group discussion, direct observation, participant observation, and document review. The subjects of this study included key individuals directly involved in educational programs, comprising the principal and vice principal of PKBM Homeschooling Kusalamitra, twelfth-grade teachers and students, selected for their significant roles in and deep engagement with the school’s activities. Data collected were analyzed using NVivo 14, employing thematic analysis to develop codes and themes, guided by description-focused coding, which involves extracting relevant statements, describing them, and tagging them for systematic categorization. Findings revealed that these Buddhist virtues significantly enhanced students' ethical orientations and personal growth, thereby boosting their academic and social skills. By deeply embedding these values within its educational framework, Pasastrian Kusalamitra not only promoted holistic development but also equipped students with the resilience and empathy needed for modern societal interactions. Highlighting the transformative potential of religious ethics in education, the study suggests robust pathways for developing moral character in diverse learning environments.

Islamic Boarding Schools and Technology: Efforts to Overcome Social Changes in Santri Misuse of Gadgets

Islamic boarding schools have agreed that the prohibition on bringing electronic devices into the Islamic boarding school environment is not permitted. This prohibition aims to avoid having a negative impact on students in terms of using gadgets. This aims to reduce changes in social behavior that occur among students due to the switch to gadgets. The aims of this research are (1) to determine the form of social change in students with the support of gadgets. (2) knowing students' efforts in responding to social changes in gadgets. Then, this research is field research, the method used is a case study with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings in this research are: First, forms of social change in santri include decreased discipline, spiritual development, disruption of sleep patterns, frequent leaving of Islamic boarding school without permission from administrators, reduced social interaction, reduced enthusiasm for learning, and decreased morale to learn. enthusiasm for work. Second, the efforts of teachers/kyai in responding to social change among students, including as educators, leaders, motivators and facilitators. This research can then be used as a reference for other Islamic boarding schools that are facing technological challenges. When technology is used as a medium for student learning, educators must ensure that the Islamic religious values and traditions that underlie education in Islamic boarding schools are not neglected.
