Changes in blood physiological and biochemical parameters and intestinal flora in newborn horses and mares with angular limb deformities.

Angular limb deformities (ALDs) are a common skeletal development disorder in newborn foals. This condition affects the growth and development of foals and severely impacts their future athletic performance and economic value, causing significant financial losses to the horse industry. Placentitis, metritis, and severe metabolic diseases during mare pregnancy are significant causes of ALDs in newborn foals. It has been established that intestinal flora disorders can easily lead to inflammatory and metabolic diseases in the host. However, the incidence of ALDs in foals in Zhaosu County, Xinjiang, a key production area of China's horse industry, remains unclear. Additionally, the relationship between functional changes in foals with ALDs and their mares and changes in their intestinal flora is not well-understood. This study investigated the status of ALD in newborn foals through clinical observation and imaging examinations. In addition, molecular biological methods were applied to examine the effects of ALDs foals and their mares on physiological and biochemical markers and gut microbiota. The results showed that the incidence of ALD in Zhaosu area of China was 4.13%. In addition, by comparing and correlating the physiological and biochemical indicators and intestinal flora of foals and mares with ALD with those of healthy horses, it was found that foals and mares with ALD may promote the occurrence and development of the disease through the "blood marker changes-intestinal flora-ALDs" axis. In addition, by comparing the physiological and biochemical indicators and intestinal flora of foals and mares with ALD with the intestinal flora of healthy horses, it was found that the physiological and biochemical indicators and intestinal flora structure and metabolic pathways of foals and mares with ALD had significant changes. The diversity, species composition, and function of the intestinal flora of ALDs and their mares were significantly altered. These findings provide a scientific basis for understanding the etiology of ALDs in foals and offer new perspectives for diagnosing and treatment ALDs in newborn foals.

Role of Innate Lymphoid Cells on Laboratory Mice Routine Handling Process and their Effect on the Other Immunological Parameters

Introduction: Lab mice typically belong to the Mus musculus species. They are the prevailing choice for mammalian research and are utilized for studies in genetics, physiology, psychology, medicine, and various scientific fields. Aim of the study: The current research aimed to examine how frequently handling laboratory mice impacts their innate immune response through innate lymphoid cells, mucus secretion, as well as various physiological and biochemical blood parameters, and its potential implications on research outcomes. Study design: Sixty female mice were used in this study all animals were hosted under the same condition and treated with the same rotational animal handling process in different periods including animal control oral gavage and intraperitoneal, sub courteous, and intramuscular injection. Blood samples were gathered at four different time points to analyze various hematological and biochemical parameters, including (RBC, Hb, PCV, WBC, ALT, AST enzymes, and urea levels, etc.) while colon tissue were collected and the immunohistochemistry and PAS staining were preformed to evaluate the innate lymphoid cells and mucin secretion at three level through the experimental period. The results: Based on the findings, there were no notable variations in the levels of Hb and RBC. However, there was a noticeable increase in the WBC count for all animals after 4 minutes of handling, and the levels began to normalize after 10 and 30 minutes. As for the blood's biochemical parameters, including ALT, AST, creatinine, and urea, no details were provided. The results showed that there were no noteworthy alterations in these parameters throughout the entire experimental period. Conclusion: The handling of the animals is one of the most important factors that can influence the experimental results in lab mice. The WBCs and samples should be collected at least 30 minutes after the handling procedure.

Blood research of Simmental breed animals in the Carpathian region

Physiological and biochemical blood parameters in Simmental heifers in postnatal ontogenesis of different types of constitution are presented. The physiological and selection index was calculated on the basis of digital indicators of the intensity of transamination enzymes and body weight of heifers in the corresponding periods of growth. It is shown that at the age of 6 months it is possible to assess the young, in this case heifers, by the type of constitution. The number of erythrocytes in the blood of heifers at 6, 12, 18 months old in the experimental group was higher than that of the control ones by 4.25; 9.91; 9.82 %, respectively. On average, over the entire period of rearing, the animals of the experimental group exceeded the control counterparts by 7.92 %. In terms of hemoglobin content in the blood, the experimental heifers at the ages of 6, 12, 18 months exceeded the control counterparts by 8.20; 10.83; 10.90 %, respectively. On average, over the entire period of rearing, the animals of the experimental group exceeded the control counterparts by 7.64 %. In terms of total protein content in the blood serum, the heifers at the ages of 6, 12, 18 months old in the experimental group exceeded the control counterparts by 7.47; 15.23; 8.64 %. On average, over the entire growing period, the animals of the experimental group outnumbered the control counterparts by 8.09 %. Another important indicator, which also characterizes protein metabolism in the animal body, is the activity of aminotransferases in the blood serum. In terms of AST activity in the blood serum, on average over the entire period of growing animals, the experimental group exceeded the control group by 11.78 %. A similar pattern was found in terms of ALT activity in the blood serum. Thus, the heifers of the experimental group in terms of ALT activity in the blood serum at 6, 12, 18 months old exceeded the control peers by 4.72; 8.13; 8.01; 10.28 %, respectively. In terms of the content of total sulfhydryl groups in the blood of heifers of the experimental group at 6, 12, 18 months, they were superior to the control analogues by 10.85; 27.50; 23.44; 18.01 %, respectively. In terms of the content of residual SH-groups in the blood of animals of the experimental group in postnatal ontogenesis, they were superior to the control analogues by 24.34 %. Experimental heifers in terms of total glutathione content at the age periods of 6, 12, 18 months old exceeded control counterparts by 8.38; 20.25; 7.44; 5.48 %, respectively. A similar pattern was observed in terms of reduced glutathione content in the blood of experimental animals. Thus, in terms of reduced glutathione content in the blood of individuals of the experimental group for the entire period of cultivation, they exceeded control peers by an average of 9.56 %.

The Effects of L-citrulline Supplementation on the Athletic Performance, Physiological and Biochemical Parameters, Antioxidant Capacity, and Blood Amino Acid and Polyamine Levels in Speed-Racing Yili Horses.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of pre-exercise L-citrulline supplementation on the athletic performance of Yili speed-racing horses during a high-intensity exercise. On the 20th day of the experiment, blood samples were collected at 3 h and 6 h post-supplementation to measure the amino acid and polyamine concentrations. On the 38th day of the experiment, the horses participated in a 2000 m speed race, and three distinct blood samples were gathered for assessing blood gases, hematological parameters, the plasma biochemistry, antioxidant parameters, and NO concentrations. The results indicate that the L-citrulline group showed a significant increase in the plasma citrulline and arginine concentrations. Conversely, the concentrations of alanine, serine, and threonine were significantly decreased. The glycine concentration decreased significantly, while there was a trend towards an increase in the glutamine concentration. Additionally, the levels of putrescine and spermidine in the plasma of the L-citrulline group were significantly increased. In terms of exercise performance, L-citrulline can improve the exercise performance of sport horses, significantly reduce the immediate post-race lactate levels in Yili horses, and accelerate the recovery of blood gas levels after an exercise. Furthermore, in the L-citrulline group of Yili horses, The levels of the total protein of plasma, superoxide dismutase, catalase, and lactate dehydrogenase were significantly increased both 2 h before and 2 h after the race. The total antioxidant capacity showed a highly significant increase, while the malondialdehyde content significantly decreased. In the immediate post-race period, the creatinine content in the L-citrulline group significantly increased. In conclusion, this study demonstrates that L-citrulline supplementation can influence the circulating concentrations of L-citrulline and arginine in Yili horses, enhance the antioxidant capacity, reduce lactate levels, and improve physiological and biochemical blood parameters, thereby having a beneficial effect on the exercise performance of athletic horses.

The aim of this work was to evaluate the effect of immunostimulating drugs Salus-P-E and Bovistim-K on the quality of colostrum and the immune status of calves after drinking colostrum. Work was carried out on first-calf heifers of the Holstein breed. Three groups of deep-calving cows were selected according to the principle of analogue groups of 10 animals each. Cows of the 1st experimental group were injected intramuscularly in the middle third of the neck with Salus-P-E at a dose of 10 ml three times 60, 30 and 15 days before the expected date of calving, the 2nd experimental group – Bovistim-K at the same time and dose, in the control group, biological preparations were not used. Colostrum sampling was carried out twice: within 60 minutes after calving and 24 hours after calving. In the second series of experiments, we studied the clinical and physiological state and blood parameters of newborn calves after drinking colostrum. The colostrum of cows of the 1st and 2nd experimental groups contained more immunoglobulins than control samples by 23,8 and 27,67 g/l; total protein - by 3,08 and 3,32%; the level of caseins – by 0,34 and 0,22%, respectively. Against the background of immunocorrection of the organism of deep-calving mother cows, there is an increase in the amount of hemoglobin, total protein, reserve alkalinity and certain changes in the ratio of protein fractions of blood of newborn calves. In the first day of life, an increase in the blood serum of calves of the experimental groups was found compared to the control: albumin by 7,9 and 8,4%; α-globulins – by 18,6 and 15,7%, β-globulins – by 22,1 and 16,9%, γ-globulins by 24,4 and 21,4%, respectively. Drinking high-quality colostrum (Brix over 24) contributed to an increase in average daily gains in calves of the 1st and 2nd experimental groups by 18,2 and 20,2%. The use of immunostimulating drugs Salus-P-E and Bovistim-K increases the immunocompetent properties of colostrum, which contributes to the formation of a high level of colostral immunity in the body of newborn calves, reducing morbidity and improving growth and survival rates.

Physiological and biochemical indicators of the organism after normobaric hypoxic training in combination with a protein product supplementation

The article shows studies conducted to study physiological and biochemical blood parameters after normobaric hypoxic training in combination with protein nutrition. The studies were conducted on 45 white male Sprague Dawley rats weighing 250-280 g. Hypoxic training in combination with protein nutrition led to an increase in red blood cells, hemoglobin, oxygen capacity of the blood, and a decrease in hematocrit. There was also an increase in plasma volume, lymph flow and urine output, while heart weight values remained within the normal range. Indicators of biochemical homeostasis of plasma and lymph do not go beyond the reference values, which indicate the normal maintenance of protein and mineral metabolism and the absence of pathological processes in the body. Studies have shown that the combination of normobaric hypoxic training at an altitude of 2800-3000 m above sea level with protein nutrition in animals improved the physiological state of the body, which will allow timely adjustment of nutrition to optimize the training process.

Growth Performance, Immune Characteristics, and Health and Welfare of Gilthead Seabream (Sparus aurata) Fed a Tailor‐Made Environmentally Sustainable Diet Formulated Using Novel Ingredients

The use of fish meal/oil in carnivorous fish feeds remains a concern for the environmental sustainability of aquaculture. In this study, we investigated the impact of an innovative diet designed to be cost‐effective and environmentally sustainable (i.e., 60% replacement of fish meal by a blend of plant, yeast [Saccharomyces cerevisiae], and krill meal feed ingredients) on the growth, health, and welfare of gilthead seabream (Sparus aurata). Over a 135‐day experiment, fish were fed either the innovative or a commercial diet (control), and various parameters were evaluated, namely growth performance, levels of physiological blood parameters related to stress, immunity, health, and welfare, as well as swimming activity, serving as a proxy for energy expenditure. Results revealed that the innovative diet enhanced growth compared to fish fed the control diet. Hematological and biochemical indicators did not highlight any impaired welfare condition in fish fed innovative diet while higher levels of Immunoglobulin M were measured in plasma of fish fed innovative diet, potentially suggesting enhancement of humoral immunity. However, accelerometer tags data revealed that fish fed the innovative diet exhibited higher overall swimming activity, suggesting higher energy expenditure, which was consistent with greater prealbumin levels measured in the plasma. In conclusion, the higher energy metabolism in fish fed the innovative diet might be compensated by the diet’s content, which may boost humoral immunity and hence help the fish develop a better adaptation to rearing environment, including its viral and bacterial load, ensuring overall better growth. Longer term investigations, including measurements of additional parameters, are required to validate these promising preliminary outcomes.

The Effect of short-term hyper-ammonia exposure in Indiancatfish, Clarias magur (Hamilton, 1822) on haematological parameters, tissues structure and gene expression profiles

In the present study, pattern of changes in blood physiological parameters, structuralchanges in gills, liver and kidnney as well as gene expression patterns for ornithine-ureacycle (OUC) were studied, under hyper-ammonia stress (25 mM NH4Cl) for 1, 3, 6 and 9 hand 24 h in normal water condition after 9 h exposure (9h+N), in Clarias magur (Hamilton,1822). Analysis showed increase in blood ammonia upto 3 h, with decreasing trend (upto2 folds reduction) subsequently. It was accompanied by simultaneous increase in urealevels upto 6 folds at 9 h exposure. However, there were no significant changes in bloodparameters, except for serum protein, serum glutamic pyruvic transaminase (SGPT) andlactate dehydrogenase (LDH) levels after 1 h exposure. Histological analysis of gills revealedhighest (88%) percentage of damaged gills with congested blood capillaries, treated for 9 h,but declined by 65% at 9h+N. Histological alterations in liver and kidney were prominentonly at 9 h exposure, with nuclear hypertrophy and necrosis of hepatic cells in liver tissuesand distension as well as degeneration of Bowman’s capsule in kidneys. Significantup-regulation of cpsIII and otc genes at 9 h and 9h+N, points to activation of OUC in liver at6 h exposure and unique physiological characteristics of turning towards ureotelism fromammoniotelism, after short term exposure to high ammonia level. The effect of sleeve gastrectomy on physiological functions and some vital indicators in obese patients in Najaf

Abstract Background: Obesity usually results from excessive nutrition, which causes a defect in the functions of the immune system as a result of the accumulation of fat, as excess fat in the body is associated with changes in the number of white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets, and is associated with changes in the function of the thyroid gland, where obesity affects the permeability of vessels It is also related to many metabolic disorders, including iron balance disorders, so many surgical techniques have been developed to treat obesity, including the laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, which is one of the common procedures for treating obesity and has gained great popularity due to its great impact on weight. This study aimed to know the complications and some side effects (positive and negative) of one of the surgeries used in the treatment of obesity, represented by sleeve gastrectomy Materials and Methods: Samples were collected from patients with laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy who underwent the operation at Al-Batool Al-Ahly Hospital and Al-Ghadeer Center in Al-Najaf Governorate from September 2022 to March 2023. (43) Patients who underwent laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy were selected (18) males and (25) Females aged between (60-18) years and with a body mass index greater than 35 kg / m2, (19) obese people (8) males and (11) females were taken as a control group, matching patients with age Results: The results showed a decrease in Ferritin protein levels and an increase in TSH levels in the patient group compared to the control group without statistical differences. As for blood indicators, the study showed that there were no significant differences (P>0.05) in the following indicators Hgb, HCT , MCV, and MCH, showed an increase in PLTs, MCHC, RBCs, MPV, and a decrease in WBC, Neutro, and Lymph in the patient group compared to the control group. As for the effect of gender on the criteria in the patient group, the results showed a significant decrease in both ferritin and each of Hgb. RBCs, HCT, MCV, MCH and MPV, and a significant increase in the level of TSH in females compared to males, and the results indicated that there were some changes in the studied parameters of sleeve gastrectomy patients divided according to the period after the operation. Conclusion: Although there was no significant difference between ferritin protein levels in the control group and the patients group, the protein levels decreased after gastric sleeve gastrectomy, and its levels were affected by sex and body mass index, and the sleeve gastrectomy was of high quality, clear effects with regard to some blood physiological parameters, especially a decrease in the number of white blood cells, neutrophils, and lymphocytes, which may indicate a decrease in low-grade inflammation resulting from obesity in the sleeved patients.

Influence of Okra Extract Supplementation on Some Haematological Parameters of Male Mice Exposed to Aflatoxin

This research was directed to determine the influence of an alcoholic extract of okra on the lessening of the destructive impact of the aflatoxin produced by Aspergillus fumigatus in white mice and its influence on some physiological blood parameters. Different food samples, (grains and fruits) such as (wheat, barley, corn, rice, citrus, strawberries, and apples) were selected for the isolation of a variety of fungi. The results showed that Aspergillus flavus 15(18.7%), Aspergillus niger12(15%), Penicillium spp 7(8.7%), Aspergillus terreus 7 (8.7%), Aspergillus fumigatus7(8.7%), Alternaria spp. 10 (12.5%), Aspergillus parasiticus 6 (7.5%) Fusarium 6 (7.5%), Penicillium chrysogenum5(6.3), Mucor spp.2(2.5%),and Rhizopus stoloinfier 3(5.5%).The identified fungi were tested for aflatoxin production, and the results revealed that Aspergillus fumigatus produced the most aflatoxin. Okra alcoholic extract was tested in vivo against the negative impact of aflatoxins using different concentrations. The findings revealed that alcoholic extracts showed reasonable influence on some blood parameters, and the results are promising.

The Effect of Contraceptive Pills on the Physiological Parameters of Blood and Hormones on Women in Al-Qurna, Iraq

This study was conducted to find out the use of oral contraceptive pills and their effect on some physiological blood parameters (platelet count, red blood cell count, white blood cell count, hemoglobin rate, physiological blood parameters, and cholesterol). The results between 10 women of reproductive age who were not taking oral contraceptives, and 10 women of reproductive age who were taking oral contraceptives showed no significant differences among physiological blood parameters (p >0.05) but there were significant differences among estrogen and progesterone hormones in women who did not take birth control pills.

Impact of heat stress on blood physiological parameters, body temperature, respiratory frequency, antioxidant status, carcass quality, production performance, and egg quality of Japanese quails

The study was performed with three experiments. The first experiment studied respiratory rate (RR), body temperature (BT), blood physiological parameters (BPP), serum antioxidant enzyme activities (SAEA), and meat quality of 240 quails under three temperatures (38 °C, 25 °C, and environmental temperature 30 °C) and two bodyweights (heavy and lighter). Heat stress (HS) increased RR and BT of quails but had no effect on BPP; superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity was decreased in group 38 °C (P<0.05), and a trend of increasing glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) was also observed in group 38 °C (P=0.06); meat quality was not affected by HS except yellow index of meat color was increased (P<0.05). The second experiment was conducted with 168 quails (experiment 1) to record reproductive performance and egg quality. HS negatively affected feed intake, egg weight, egg height, albumen height, yolk weight, yolk color, and Haugh unit (P<0.05). The third experiment was performed to evaluate the effect of HS on growth and reproductive performance, and SAEA of the first generation (G1) from 84 quails (experiment 2). Feed intake, weight gain, and feed conversion ratio in the 38 °C H – G1 quail line were not significantly different from other groups. The higher egg weight and egg production were discovered in heat-stressed G1 groups. The lowest value of SOD and GSH-Px was reported in the 38 °C H – G1 quail line but no different in catalase (P>0.05). The 38 °C – G1 quail groups adapted to HS from G0 by expanding feed intake at the growing phase, improving egg weight and egg production, and maintaining the low SAEA.

Optimum Fermentation Conditions for Bovine Lactoferricin-Lactoferrampin-Encoding LimosiLactobacillus reuteri and Regulation of Intestinal Inflammation.

The multifunctional antibacterial peptide lactoferricin-lactoferrampin (LFCA) is derived from bovine lactoferrin. Optimization of the fermentation process should be studied since different microorganisms have their own favorable conditions and processes for growth and the production of metabolites. In this study, the culture conditions of a recombinant strain, pPG-LFCA-E/LR-CO21 (LR-LFCA), expressing LFCA was optimized, utilizing the high-density fermentation process to augment the biomass of LimosiLactobacillus reuteri and the expression of LFCA. Furthermore, an assessment of the protective effect of LR-LFCA on intestinal inflammation induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) was conducted to evaluate the impact of LR-LFCA on the disease resistance of piglets. The findings of this study indicate that LR-LFCA fermentation conditions optimally include 2% inoculation volume, 36.5 °C fermentation temperature, 9% dissolved oxygen concentration, 200 revolutions/minute stirring speed, pH 6, 10 mL/h glucose flow, and 50% glucose concentration. The inclusion of fermented LR-LFCA in the diet resulted in an elevation of immunoglobulin levels, significant upregulation of tight junction proteins ZO-1 and occludin, reinforcement of the intestinal barrier function, and significant amelioration of the aberrant alterations in blood physiological parameters induced by LPS. These results offer a theoretical framework for the implementation of this micro-ecological preparation in the field of piglet production to enhance intestinal well-being.

Different Diets of Maca Roots (Lepidium meyenii) Affect Several Physiological Blood Characteristics of Broiler Chickens Under Oxidative Stress

The Department of Animal Production/College of Agriculture/Al-Qasim Green University poultry field hosted this experiment from 10/1/2021 to 11/4/2021. The research examined the effects of dietary maca roots (Lepidium meyenii) on broilers’ physiological blood parameters under oxidative stress. The experiment employed 225 unsexed (Ross 308) grill chicks. It was randomised at random to 15 (k) different experimental treatments for 45 birds, with each treatment having three repetitions of 15 birds. The first trial consisted of a control diet and water that did not include any H2O2. The second treatment consisted of the normal diet along with water containing 0.5% hydrogen peroxide. The third and fourth treatments included 1 and 1.5 g of maca roots per kilogramme of the basic ration, respectively. Fifth treatment: 2 g maca root/kg main diet plus 0.5% H2O2 water. Summarize the key experiment findings.White blood cells were greatest in the second treatment (P < 0.05). The second treatment had the most heterophilic cells compared to the first, third, fourth, and fifth treatments. about lymphocytes. The first, third, fourth, and fifth treatments outperform the second (P < 0.05). The first, third, fourth, and fifth treatments had the best H/L ratio, with the second treatment being significantly different (P < 0.05). The fourth and fifth doses showed a substantial improvement (P < 0.05) in immunological protein IgG and IgA. When compared to the first, second, and third treatments, the volumetric standard of blood serum antibodies directed against Newcastle disease parenchyma is significantly greater (P 0.05) for the fourth and fifth treatments. The effectiveness of the fourth and fifth glutathione treatments was significantly higher than that of the others (P 0.05).

Beneficial Effects of Adding a Mixture of Medicinal Herbs to Quail Diet on some Physiological and Biochemical Blood Parameters

This study was conducted in the poultry field of the Department of Animal production / College of Agriculture / University of Al-Qadisiyah to know the effect of using a mixture of herbs (licorice, thyme, turmeric and red pepper) on some physiological and biochemical characteristics of quail. 120 quail were used in this study. Which were randomly distributed in four treatments (2 replicates for each treatment, 15 birds for each replicate). The mixture of herbs was added to the diet in equal proportions and with different concentrations.(T1) A mixture of medicinal herbs was used at 2% of the ration (T2) A mixture of medicinal herbs was used at 4% of the ration (T3) A mixture of medicinal herbs was used at 6% of the ration (CONTROL), The mixture of medicinal herbs was used with a percentage of 0% of the feed. Feed and water were provided freely to the birds throughout the experiment period.The effect of a mixture of herbs (licorice, thyme, turmeric and red pepper) on some physiological characteristics such as the number of red cells (RBC) and white blood cells (WBC), types of white blood cells, the packed cell volume (PCV), hemoglobin concentration (Hb) and biochemical traits such as glucose, total protein and cholesterol concentration was studied. The results indicated that there were no significant differences between the experimental treatments (medical herbal mixture) compared with the control treatment in both eosinophil and basophil white blood cells, as well as the percentage of total protein. A significant increase (p<0.05) in (red blood cell count(RBC), packed cell volume (PCV), hemoglobin percentage(Hb), white blood cell count(WBC), and white lymphocyte count, in the experimental treatments (medical herbal mixture) compared with the control treatment. There was a significant decrease in both glucose and cholesterol concentration in the experimental treatments (medical herbal mixture) compared with the control treatment. From this study we conclude that the use of the medical herbal mixture led to the improvement of some of the studied traits.

A comparative study on the effect of the, local hawthorn leaf powder, with the mixture of liquid enhancers (Garlimmune) on the physiological characteristics of the blood of broiler chickens

This study was conducted in the Poultry Farm for KYSAR Company in Erbil City and aimed to determine the effect, adding of the single Powder of Hawthorn tree leafs PHTL with or without adding mixed Garlimmune liquid to Obtain the Synergism effect upon physiological blood parameters for ROSS-308 broiler. In this experiment randomly distributed 144 unsexed one-day age broilers to 6 treatments with three replicates for each. The system of feeding was ad libitum and the drinking water was available and the average live weight of the chicks was 40 gm. The nutritional treatments were as follow. T1, basal diet (Control I diet), T2: basal diet with 0.025 % of PHTL, T3: basal diet with 0.50% of PHTL, T4: basal diet and the drinking water contained liquid Garlimmune as 0.50ml per100 liter. T5: basal diet with 0.25% of PHTL and the drinking Wart Contained liquid Garlimmune as 0.50ml per N100 water, T6: The basal diet with 0.50% of PHTL and drinking water contained liquid Garlimmune as 0.50ml per 100 drinking water. The Statistical analysis for the serum bio chemical parameters obtained significantly (P ≤0.05) depression of the cholesterol and Triglycerides for the 2,3,4,5, and 6th treatments serum by comparing with control group birds the Serum by comparing with control group birds. The serum total protein percentage for the 3rd treatment was significantly (P ≤0.05) bigger than another treatments and average for the same parameter for the serum of control group birds was less from all treatments, while the low density lipoproteins for the serum of 6th treatment birds were significantly (P ≤0.05) less than control treatment birds. There was no significantly difference between the serum cef the all treatments birds for the values of albumin and globulin.

Key parameters of physiological responses to acute heat stress in two commercial layers determined by Fisher discriminant analyses

Given the escalating global warming and the intense nature of modern poultry production, layers are becoming increasingly susceptible to heat stress. This stress disrupts the physiological processes of layers, which leads to reduced productivity and welfare. To address this issue, it is crucial to first evaluate the stress response systematically. However, such evaluations are still lacking in this field. The objective of this study was to accurately monitor the impact of thermal stress and identify common and key indicators that would support decision-making to maintain layer welfare and productivity under stress. We constructed two heat stress models to reflect moderate (32 °C) to severe (36 °C) stress effects and obtained a comprehensive profile of blood physiological parameters associated with the layers’ responses to heat stress. We found that genetic differences had limited influence on their physiological responses to heat stress after 32 °C heat challenges. Using 8 selected and significantly changed parameters, layers’ physiological status under heat stress could be accurately determined (judgmental accuracy of 98%). As ambient temperature increased to 36 °C, birds suffered more severe challenges that parameters changed in larger percentages. Additionally, breed variations of the physiological responses became apparent, a Fisher discriminant function based on 5 selected parameters could distinguish heat stress effects at 32 °C or 36 °C with 80% accuracy. The results obtained from this study provide two discriminant models for assessing heat stress and shed lights on developing effective and widely applicable heat stress mitigation strategies targeting these indicators.

Changes in the metabolism of lactating goats of the Saanen breed under the influence of stimulating BAS

Purpose: to study the effect of complex biologically active additives based on a protein hydrolyzate together with an iron-containing preparation on the metabolism of lactating goats of the Saanen breed according to the physiological and biochemical status of blood and the physicochemical properties of milk from animals grown in an industrial complex. Materials and methods. In the experiment, 45 Saanen goats were used, of which 15 goats were combined into the control group, 30 equally divided into two experimental groups. Experimental animals in addition to the standard diet received a biological supplement based on protein hydrolyzate, 40 ml/day. and iron-containing preparation "Bio-iron with trace elements" 10 ml / day. An experimental group of 15 heads received the drug "Abiotonic", another group of 15 heads - "Abiopeptide" (hereinafter, the subgroups "ABT + BfM" and "ABP + BfM"). Animals received dietary supplements in the complex, according to the following scheme: 30 days with a break of 5 days after 10 and 20 days, i.e. In general, the experiment lasted 45 days. To assess the condition of the control and experimental goats, blood and milk were taken (before the start of the experiment and at the end of the experiment). Physiological and biochemical blood parameters of goats were determined, which characterize protein metabolism - the level of aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), total protein (OB), albumin (A), globulins and urea (M); lipid metabolism - the level of cholesterol (X) and triglycerides; carbohydrate metabolism - glucose level (G); energy metabolism - creatinine level (K); mineral metabolism - the level of phosphorus (P), chlorine (Cl) and iron (Fe). Milk was taken in the morning milking, examined for physical and chemical parameters: fat, protein, dry skimmed milk residue (SOMO), somatic cells and density. Results. It is shown that the use of these dietary supplements in lactating goats affects the physiological and biochemical status of blood and the physicochemical properties of milk. It is noted that the beneficial properties of additives are aimed at enhancing the catabolic processes of the body of goats, they are most effective in combination with vitamins and microelements, contributing to an increase in productivity while maintaining the internal reserves of the body. It should also be noted the effectiveness of the iron-containing preparation "Bio-iron with microelements", used in feeding lactating goats.

Simultaneous Occurrence of Mycotoxins Citrinin and Ochratoxin A in Popcorn Grains and Their Biological Effect on some Physiological Blood Parameters

This study was conducted with the aim of verifying the simultaneous occurrence of mycotoxin Citrinin (CIT) and Ochratoxin A (OTA) in popcorn grains consumed on a wide range throughout Iraq. It is enhanced by studying the biologically combined effects of these toxins compared to their effect separately. The results of the chromatographic analysis using HPLC technology to detect the simultaneous occurrence of mycotoxins Citrinin and Ochratoxin A in the analyzed samples showed that all samples were contaminated with Ochratoxin A, while 17 samples were contaminated with both of mycotoxins out of 18 main samples, and in varying proportions, The highest incidence and concentration of Ochratoxin A 100% was with a concentration of 31.795 μg/kg for sample T8, followed by CIT 94.4% with 17.868 μg/kg for sample Q7, However, the lowest concentration of 4.066 μg/kg, 12.161 μg/kg for Citrinin and Ochratoxin A were detected in samples T8 and D17 respectively. While the results vevealed different effects on the physiological blood parameters of chicks, exposure to mycotoxins CIT and OTA alone or simultaneously caused a decrease in white bood cells (WBC), monocytes (MON), lyphocytes (LYM), mean corpuscular volume (MCV), hematatocrit (HCT) and platelet (PLT), while the two treatments OTA and OTA+CIT caused a decrease in hemoglobin (HGB), mean corpuscular haemoglobin concentration (MCHC), mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH) and granulocyte (GRA) While CIT caused an increase compared to control treatment, the results were reflected in both mean platelet volume (MPV) and red blood cell distribution width (RDW). When combining CIT and OTA, the treatment showed synergistic or antagonistic effects compared to their effects individually, which differed depending on the treated cells.
