1. The design of the dam that we have discussed and the procedure employed for its construction promote the monolithic behavior of the structure during construction and operation. 2. From the standpoint of improving the stressed state of dams in the near-rock zone, it is expedient to restrict the height of the first 8–12 blocks to 0.75 m, holding the height of the remaining blocks to 1 m. 3. It is possible to reduce the thickness of the thermal insulation called for in the design by a factor of ∼1.5-2.
