The impact of the use of mastery learning on the level of learning some basic skills in volleyball

The sample assigned was a group of second-year students (n=60). The students were assigned into two groups: a control (n=30) and an experimental (n=30). In addition, 20 participants/players were also assigned to two groups: distinguished (n=10 professional players from El Wihda Team) and undistinguished (n=10 second-year students). The distinguished and undistinguished groups were used as benchmarks. The following table shows the sample of the study.

Developing Standard Levels in Volleyball Basic Skills for Physical Education Female Students at Al- Yarmouk University

This study aimed to developing standard levels to test basic volleyball skills for female students at physical Education department at Al- yarmouk University. Descriptive approach was used. The study sample consisted of (34) female students selected randomly, who were registered at "Training Theories" for the second semester of the academic year (2009-2010) A battery of six tests was applied to measure the basic volleyball skills; Spike, Block, Serve, Setup, Reception and Defense. As a result, percentile standard levels were built to test female students and evaluate their level of performance.

Effect of using the declivity and pyramid weights training systems on some aspects of muscular strength and Basic skills in the volleyball

The research aims at revealing the following: 1) effect of using the declivity and pyramid weights training systems on some aspects of muscular strength and basic skills in the volleyball. 2) Which systems are more effective on some aspects of muscular strength and basic skills in the volleyballs. To verify the research objectives; the researchers set the following hypotheses: 1) There are significant differences between pre and post tests of the declivity and pyramid systems in some aspects of muscular strength and basic skills in the volleyball's players. 2) There are significant differences between post tests of the declivity and pyramid systems in some aspects of basic skills in volleyball's players. The researcher has applied the experimental methodology for its convenience with the research nature. The experiment was implemented on a population of players from Neinavah Young Team for volleyball reached (18) players aged (16-19) chosen intentionally and were divided into two experimental groups by lot. Group one applied the delivity system, whereas the second applied the pyramid system. (6) players were excluded for the explorative experiments. Equivalence and homogeneity were achieved between both groups of the research. Pre-tests of the muscular strength aspects and basic skills were carried out as well as the training program. Execution of the training program has lasted (8) weeks with a load movement undulation (3:1) in the amount of (3) training units per week. Then post-tests of muscular strength aspects and basic skills were performed. The researchers employed the following statistical tools and attained the following conclusions:  The two systems were effected clearly in some aspects of muscular strength.  The two systems were clearly effect on some basic skills in the volleyball . Based on the conclusions attained; the researchers recommended the following:  The two training systems can be applied in developing muscular strength aspects and basic skills in volleyball.  Confirm the use of the pyramid training system which has showed an evident superiority over the declivity system in developing muscular strength aspects and basic skills in volleyball.

The Impact of Using Gaining Classification strategy in Acquiring Some Basic Skills of Volleyball

The study aims at identifying the impact of gaining classification strategy on acquiring some basic skills of volleyball. The study sample consists of the second stage students at the college of physical EducationUniversity of Saladin. They were divided into two groups, (16) students for each group they were randomly selected . Class (B) represented the experimental group and was studied in accordance with gaining classification strategy in learning volleyball skills. Class (C) represented the control group and the traditional strategy was used in learning the volleyball skills. Equivalence was made between the two groups in some variables that affect learning in addition to equivalence among the skills. Learning program was constructed by the researcher consisting of six teachings units, using gaining classification strategy. After being reviewed by experts, the program was applied on the experimental group. After finishing the learning program for the two groups, a post test for the two groups was made. Data were statistically analyzed using the suitable statistical methods. The researcher concluded that the group studied in accordance with gaining classification strategy was better than that studied in accordance with traditional strategy in acquiring volleyball basic skills (Setting-Receiving-and Serving).The researcher recommended the use of gaining classification strategy in learning volleyball basic skills(Setting-Receiving-and Serving) as it is best than the traditional strategy.
