The Non-Medical Warehouse of UOBK Hospital was established in 2020 and has one door for entry and exit with non-medical goods arranged on shelves or directly under the floor, there are no recording sheets on each shelf, the arrangement of goods on the shelves still does not take into account the mobility of goods entering and exiting and there are no directions or markers. This research aims to provide suggestions in the form of warehouse management that needs to be completed, such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions and others as well as suggestions for reorganizing the warehouse layout by considering various aspects, characteristics of goods, warehouse area and so on starting from the circulation of goods in and out. slow, medium and fast. The results of this research are proposed SOPs, Job Descriptions, Work Instructions and a new warehouse layout for the Non-Medical Warehouse at UOBK Hospital in managing warehouse operations and warehouse layout by considering various aspects and characteristics of goods that are large or need to be placed in the back area. Goods with fast circulation with a percentage of 75% are placed with the entrance and exit in the left lane, namely sanitary goods and nutritional consumables on shelves N and O. There are differences in the initial warehouse layout which does not take into account the circulation of incoming and outgoing goods as well as the warehouse characteristics attached to Figure 6. OGFr overexpression exerts anti-hepatocellular carcinoma effects by activating P16 and P21 to inhibit proliferation and migration of HepG2 cells.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the sixth most common type of cancer and the second leading cause of cancer death worldwide [19]. Opioid growth factor (OGF) has been shown to exhibit antitumour potential, binding to OGF receptor (OGFr). Naltrexone (NTX), an OGFr antagonist, is considered as a potential anti-cancer agent. However, the specific mechanism of how OGFr acts on HCC cells is yet to be elucidated. HepG2 cells were inoculated into subcutaneous areas of nude mice's back (200 μL, 2.5×10⁷/mL) to establish HCC in vivo models. HepG2 cells were transfected with lentiviral plasmids containing short hairpin RNA (shRNA) targeting OGFr (sh-OGFr) or negative control shRNA (sh-NC), and OGFr over-expression (OE-OGFr) or over-expression negative control (OE-NC) plasmids. Subsequently, male BALB/c nude mice were randomized into Control, sh-NC, sh-OGFr, OE-NC, and OE-OGFr groups (n = 6). Measurement of tumour size weekly for four weeks, TUNEL staining for apoptosis, and immunohistochemistry were performed. In vitro, HepG2 cells were randomized into OE-NC, OE-OGFr, and OE-OGFr+NTX (100 μmol/L) groups, and sh-NC, sh-OGFr, sh-OGFr+sh-P21, and sh-OGFr+sh-P16 groups. Cell viability by CCK8 assay, cell proliferation by EDU staining, cell migration by cell scratch, and Western blot were performed. In vivo, sh-OGFr-transfected HepG2 cells increased tumour weight, volume, and Ki67 expression, decreased P21 and P16 expression, and did not affect apoptosis rate. But the effect of OE-OGFr in HepG2 cells was completely the opposite. In vitro, OE-OGFr inhibited HepG2 cells' viability, proliferation, and migration, and further NTX intervention reversed its inhibitory effects. The transfection of HepG2 cells with sh-OGFr+sh-P21 and sh-OGFr+sh-P16 further enhanced the cell proliferation and migration abilities compared to the sh-OGFr group. OGFr overexpression may inhibit HCC progression by activating P16 and P21 expression to inhibit cell proliferation and migration, thereby providing new potential targets for HCC treatment.

Post-COVID-19 Syndrome-associated Risk Factors for Acne Exacerbation.

This study aimed to investigate the impact of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) syndrome on various aspects of acne exacerbation. Additionally, we aimed to explore the risk factors for acne exacerbation after COVID-19 syndrome. A total of 211 subjects with acne were enrolled, and their key demographic characteristics and lifestyle factors were recorded. They were asked whether acne exacerbation occurred after COVID-19 syndrome, as well as the latency of exacerbation, the exacerbation location, and the form of skin lesions. The risk factors were analyzed using the Cox proportional hazard regression model. Overall, 41.2% of cases reported exacerbation of acne after COVID-19 syndrome. Age was found to be a protective factor. Additionally, sufficient fruit intake may slightly prevent exacerbation. For participants engaging in daily physical exercise, the likelihood of exacerbation was significantly increased after COVID-19 syndrome. The probability of exacerbation was significantly higher if an acne itch was present. Patients who experienced exacerbation in the chin area were more likely to develop acne-induced anxiety. Males had a higher risk of aggravation of the cyst form. Interestingly, those with lower education levels were more likely to have aggravation in the right cheek after COVID-19 syndrome. Moreover, physical exercise might prevent aggravation in the front or back areas. Finally, fish intake of ≥240 g per week was related to the aggravation of the hard nodule form. In conclusion, age and adequate fruit intake may play a protective role, while acne itch and daily exercise may be risk factors for acne exacerbation.

THE EFFECT OF THE COMBINATION OF SLOW STROKE BACK MASSAGE AND WILLIAM FLEXION EXERCISE IN OVERCOMING LOW BACK PAIN IN OPERATING ROOM NURSES AT KARUNIA KASIH JATIWARINGIN HOSPITAL IN 2023

Background: Low back pain (LBP) is pain that occurs in the lower back area and is caused by stress or strain on the muscles, tendons, and ligaments of the back that often occurs due to excessive activity. This pain can lead to an inability to perform normal activities (Yulianto et al., 2023). Research Objective: The general objective of this study is to determine the effect of combination therapy of slow stroke back massage and William flexion exercise on low back pain in operating room nurses. Research Methodology: The methodology used in this study uses The type of research used is quantitative descriptive research, which is a research process that uses a lot of numbers in its implementation starting from data collection, and interpretation to drawing conclusions Results Research: The results of the study found a significant relationship between the Effect of the Combination of Slow Stroke Back Massage and William Flexion Exercise in Overcoming Low Back Pain in Operating Room Nurses at Karunia Kasih Hospital Bekasi obtained p-value 0.000 Conclusions and suggestions: conclusions and suggestions from all these research activities can be concluded that there is a relationship between the Effect of the Combination of Slow Stroke Back Massage and William Flexion Exercise in Overcoming Low Back Pain in Operating Room Nurses at Karunia Kasih Hospital Bekasi. Therefore, it is expected that health efforts need to be maximally improved.

Effect of vegetation die‐back on genetic diversity in large‐scale restored Spartina alterniflora marshes and comparison to native marshes in the Chesapeake Bay, USA

Tidal marshes at the Paul S. Sarbanes Ecosystem Restoration Project at Poplar Island (PI) are part of a large‐scale restoration project to replace lost island habitat in Chesapeake Bay, United States. However, observations of Spartina alterniflora die‐back prompted questions about the impact on genetic diversity and resilience of restored versus natural marshes, leading to an investigation of genetic diversity and population structure. Transects were established across three distinct restored marshes with different ages and histories of die‐back and across two local, non‐restored native marshes. Plants were genotyped at eight microsatellite markers to examine metrics of genetic diversity, population structure, and clonality. Allelic richness but not heterozygosity was higher in restored marshes compared to reference marshes, which showed significantly higher clonality and spatial genetic autocorrelation. Restored marsh areas experiencing die‐back had slightly lower multilocus diversity indices than non‐die back areas in two third cases, but not a third comparison. Significant genetic differentiation was observed between the native and restored marshes (mean GST approximately 0.06), which reflects the approximately 100 km distance between native marshes and restored seed source in New Jersey. Overall, die‐back in restored marshes did not substantially affect genetic diversity or composition, but substantial differences in diversity were observed between restored and native marshes. Reduced clonal diversity in mature, native marshes may be a function of their greater age, as has been reported elsewhere. Future monitoring of neutral genetic diversity in PI marshes will be useful for understanding longer‐term patterns of genetic change and diversity in planted, restored marshes.

The Relationship Between Age, Gender, Workload, and Complaints of Low Back Pain (LBP) among Emergency Room Nurses

Low Back Pain (LBP) is Pain felt in the lower back area, can be local pain or radicular pain or both. Risk factors for low back pain (LBP) include age, gender and workload. This study aims to determine the relationship between age, gender and workload with complaints of Low Back Pain (LBP) in nurses in the emergency department of RSUD Banten in 2022. This type of correlation research uses a cross-sectional study approach. The population in this study were all ER nurses at Banten Regional Hospital as many as 65 nurses. The number of samples was determined by a total sampling technique of 65 respondents. The results showed 33 (50.8%) nurses had mild LBP complaints, 35 (53.8%) nurses aged < 30 years, 40 (61.5%) female nurses and 38 (58.5%) nurses had a light workload. The results of the analysis showed that there was a relationship between age and complaints of LBP (P value 0.004), gender with complaints of LBP (P value 0.002) and workload with complaints of LBP (P value 0.000). It is expected that the Banten Regional Hospital will observe and treat nurses who have LBP complaints.

Infrared-A to improve mood: an exploratory study of water-filtered infrared-A (wIRA) exposure

Diurnal preference to eveningness might predispose to depression. There is preliminary evidence of infrared-A (IR-A) induced whole-body hyperthermia (WBH) in the treatment of depression. In this exploratory study with 19 adults, we investigated the effects of a 20-min exposure of water-filtered IR-A (wIRA) to the skin of back and buttock area, without inducing WBH, on mood and assessed the outcome by diurnal preference (#R19047, approval on 7 May 2019). The skin received irradiation with an integrated power of 102.4 W in the wavelength region of 550–1350 nm and a total dose of 123 kJ over the total area of 0.0483 m2. The diurnal preference was assessed with a 6-item version of the Morningness-Eveningness Questionnaire (mMEQ). The 40-item Profile of Mood States (POMS) questionnaire was used to assess total mood disturbance (TMD). Core temperature was measured 30 min before, during and 30 min after the irradiation. Skin surface temperature was measured on baseline and every two minutes during the irradiation. The TMD improved immediately after the exposure, and this positive effect lasted for 24 h (p = 0.001) as well as for 2 weeks (p = 0.02). Concerning the diurnal preference, the positive effect on mood was immediate and lasted for 24 h in evening types (p = 0.02) and for 2 weeks in morning types (p = 0.04). During the exposure, core body temperature was constantly lower in morning types compared to evening types. This study gives us new information on the effects of near-infrared radiation, without inducing WBH, through the skin on mood.Graphical abstract

A Local Heating Profile to Manage Lower Back Pain in an Automotive Seat: A Pilot Study.

Lower back pain (LBP) is one of the most prevalent health losses in adults worldwide. Historically, heat has been successfully used for treating pain and relieving tight muscles. Given the effective contact with the occupant's back and proximity to the heat source, coupled with increasing commute times, automotive seats offer an opportunity to intervene. Fifteen adults (nine female) who experienced acute, subacute, and chronic lower back pain were recruited to examine the effectiveness of heat delivered to the lower back in providing temporary pain relief. Participants sat in a car seat for 38 min on two days, which included a 5-min baseline followed by a 33-min intervention; control, or localized. For the control condition, participants sat for 33 min without any thermal devices on, while the localized condition heated and maintained the seat surface temperature of the lower seat back area to ~45 °C. Over the 33-min control condition, the back skin temperature increased by ~1-2 °C and did not impact the subjective LBP. Heating the lower back for 33 min to ~39 °C reduced the subjective LBP by 10%. We demonstrated that lower back pain can be alleviated from an automotive seat providing heat to the lower back within normal commute times in those with lower back pain.

Evaluation of the reliability of measuring lower back muscles cross-sectional area based on manual segmentation within multi-level MRI images

IntroductionManual segmentation of paraspinal muscle cross-sectional area (CSA) is widely used to assess related health disorders. This study aimed to evaluate the reliability of this segmentation process for each paraspinal region of interest across the three intervertebral levels commonly used for segmentation (L3/4, L4/5, and L5/S1). MethodsAxial-T2-weighted MRI images for 238 patients were divided among five raters (47 ± 1 cases each). To conduct the intra-rater reliability study, the CSA of each paraspinal lumber muscle (psoas major (PM), multifidus (MF), and erector spinae (ES)) and the intervertebral disc (ID) were manually segmented twice on all targeted levels before being assessed for each region per rater. The Inter-rater reliability was determined by comparing the results of different readers who segmented the same dataset. The Intraclass Correlation (ICC) and Coefficient-of-Variation percentage (CV%) were reported for each analysis. ResultsLow intra- and inter-rater variability (CV%<11) was found for each reader in each region and intervertebral level. The inter-rater reliability was excellent (ICC>0.9) for the PM, ID, and ES at L3/4. However, it was very good for MF at all levels and ES at L4/5, L5/S1 (ICC range: 0.82–0.88) affected by the fat-infiltration nature of the ES and MF muscles, their proximity to each other, and their smaller size (correlation between muscle size and ICC = 0.6, P < 0.01). The ID segmentation has the lowest CV (<3 %) and excellent ICC (>0.93). ConclusionManual paraspinal muscle segmentation using axial-T2-weighted MRI is reliable at all commonly segmented intervertebral levels. However, the reliability level can be degraded by the presence of high-fat infiltrate, unclear muscle boundaries, and muscle size. Implications for practiceFollowing consistent guidelines can help improve segmentation results. The IDs can be used as reliable internal references.

PENGARUH PEMBERIAN KOMPRES HANGAT PADA PUNGUNG BAWAH IBU INPARTU KALA 1 FASE AKTIF TERHADAP TINGKAT NYERI DI RUANG BERSALIN RUMAH SAKIT ISLAM JOMBANG

There are two methods of dealing with labor pain, namely medical and non-medical. One of the non-medical actions is the provision of warm compresses given to the lower back area. Giving warm compresses can improve blood circulation, provide a feeling of warmth, prevent muscle spasms and reduce pain. This research is based on the results of observations made at the Jombang Islamic Hospital that the methods used to treat pain in laboring mothers are back massage and providing emotional support, while warm compresses have never been applied. This study aims to determine the effect of warm compresses on the level of active phase I labor pain in the Delivery Room of Jombang Islamic Hospital in 2023. The design of this study used the Quasi Experiment method (pseudo-experiment), with a one group pretest posttest design. The sample of this study was 15 women giving birth normally at the Jombang Islamic Hospital in July 2023. The results of the study were that most (66.7%) of respondents had severe pain before being given warm compresses and almost all (80%) of respondents had moderate pain levels after being given warm compresses. The results of the Wilcoxon statistical test obtained a p value of 0.001 (?&lt;0.05) so it can be concluded that there is an effect of warm compresses on the level of labor pain in the Delivery Room of the Jombang Islamic Hospital. Provision of warm compresses can be applied in the Delivery Room of Jombang Islamic Hospital to help reduce labor pain, provide a sense of comfort and relaxation for mothers in labor.

Incidence and Characteristics of Dermatophytosis Lesions in Cats (Felis catus) at Go Pet Care Animal Clinic (2020-2022)

Dermatophytosis, a dermatological condition caused by dermatophyte fungi, affects the superficial keratinized structures of the skin. The primary etiological agents include the genera Microsporum, Trichophyton, and Epidermophyton. This study examines the incidence and characteristics of dermatophytosis lesions in domestic cats (Felis catus) at Go Pet Care Animal Clinic from 2020 to 2022. The research utilized secondary data from the clinic's medical records, which is a significant reference institution in Kabupaten Bandung Barat, to assess the prevalence and features of dermatophytosis within this population. The findings revealed a prevalence of 7.5% in 2020, 11.3% in 2021, and 3.7% in 2022. The incidence was highest in cats under 1 year of age, with a notable frequency in Persian breed cats and males. Common lesions identified included localized alopecia primarily in the ear region, alopecia in the back region, and crust formation also in the back area. This study provides critical insights into the epidemiology and clinical presentation of dermatophytosis in domestic cats, offering guidance for improved diagnosis and management of the condition.

Effect of William Exercise and Blackburn Exercise in Patients with Chronic Low Back Pain: A Randomized Control Trial

Background: Low back pain (LBP) physiotherapy treatment, mostly focuses on low back area and lower limb. Fewer physiotherapists and studies correlate the upper back and LBP. The present study was conducted to see the effect of lumbar stabilization (William) exercise and scapular stabilization (Black burn) exercise in chronic low back pain (CLBP) patients. Methods: Total 28 subjects were allocated randomly by the lottery method in two different treatment groups, Group-A (William exercise + black burn exercise group) and Group-B (William exercise). Pain intensity was measured by numeric pain rating scale (NPRS), and functional disability score by Roland - Morris disability questionnaire (RMDQ). Statistical analysis was done using SPSS V.20. Result: Within group analysis showed statistically significant difference in NPRS score(Z =-3.320, p &lt; 0.001), RMDQ score(Z = -3.300, p &lt; 0.001) in group A. Whereas NPRS score (Z = -3.341, p &lt; 0.001), RMDQ score (Z = -3.202, p &lt; 0.001) in group B. Comparison of baseline data showed no statistically significant difference in NPRS score (U=89, p=0.668) and RMDQ score (U=84, p=0.518) in both the groups. At the end of 4 weeks of intervention, data showed statistically significant difference in NPRS score (U=51.5, p=0.024) and RMDQ score (U=52.5, p=0.035) between both the groups. Conclusion: This study concludes that William exercise is good for the CLBP patients but William exercise and Blackburn exercise shows superior results in pain reduction and also reduced back related disability and restored functioning in CLBP patients. Anti-inflammatory Activity of Lemon Pepper Nanoemulsion on Carrageenan-Induced Male Wistar Rat

Lemon pepper does not only have a unique taste but also has some active compounds, which has anti-inflammatory activity. This study intended to investigate the anti-inflammatory effect of lemon pepper nanoemulsion on carrageenan-induced Wistar rats. This experimental study used Twenty-five male Wistar rats that were grouped into five different groups, including control, standard, lemon pepper nanoemulsion dose of 25, 50, and 75 mg/ kgBW. Initially, all rats received air injection in the back area for 5 days to form an air pouch. After that, all rats were injected with 1% carrageenan solution, and received treatment based on the groups for 48 hours via oral route. Then, it counted the number of white blood cells by Giemsa Stain that was expressed as a number of cells per High Power Field (HPF). The increasing of Lemon pepper nanoemulsion dose significantly decreased the number of leucocytes in the carrageenan aspiration after 48 hours of treatment (P-Value &lt; 0.001). The lowest number of leucocytes was found in the Lemon Pepper Nanoemulsion dose of 75 mg/kgBW (2.40 leukocytes per HPF). Hence, it can be deducted that the lemon pepper nanoemulsion has an anti-inflammatory effect, especially at a dose of 50-75 mg/kgBW.

The Effect of Endorphine Massage to Reduce Pain During the First Stage of Labor: Evidence Based Case Report

Background: Labor is a physiological process that every pregnant woman will experience in her reproductive cycle. The changes that occur in the body to prepare for childbirth often cause pain in the mother. Physical changes will also affect the emotional and psychological condition of the birthing mother, such as stress and anxiety. One non-pharmacological methods to reduce pain during labor is endorphine massage. This massage aims to make the mother comfortable and calm by helping to release endorphin hormones which play a role in increased analgesic response during labor. Endorphine massage is performed by giving a light touch to the back area to help release the hormones endorphins and oxytocin during the first stage of labor. Purpose: To determine the effect of endorphin massage on reducing pain in the first stage of labor. Method: Evidence based case report (EBCR) by searching several articles via Google Scholar and Portal Garuda. Result: There was a decrease in pain intensity of first stage of labor from severe to moderate pain after being given endorphins massage for 5 minutes every hour. Conclusion: The results of the case report show that endorphin massage can reduce pain in the first stage of labor.

Musculoskeletal disorders prediagnosis by infrared thermography in CNC machinery operators: Regression models approaches.

Musculoskeletal System Disorders (MSDs) are a group of injuries that represent common occupational diseases and should be evaluated for prevention purposes because an increase has been observed due to the repetitive movements performed in the industry. This research was carried out in a manufacturing industry where metal parts are manufactured, and workers experience back and wrist pain. To prediagnose Musculoskeletal System Disorders (MSDs) and examine the relationship between temperature, demographic, and physiological factors in workers through predictive models, contributing to MSD prevention. Information from 36 operators was used to obtain vital signs and somatometry data, and thermograms of their hands in the dorsal, palmar, and back areas were collected and analyzed to determine the relationship between temperature and demographic and physiological factors. The ergonomic evaluations proved that the operators were at high risk owing to repetitive movements and postures adopted during work. Eighty-six percent of cases with injuries were identified using infrared thermograms, proving their high level of effectiveness. When studying the relationship between temperature behavior during recovery from repetitive activities and demographic and physiological factors, it was determined that age, dominant hand, respiratory frequency, and BMI were the most significant. Nine regression models were obtained, with coefficients of determination between 0.17 and 0.71. The significant factors for worker injuries were age, dominant hand, respiratory rate, and BMI. However, the sample size and variability in work activities should be extended to generalize the findings.

Determining the effect of environmental factors, work postures and mental workload on musculoskeletal disorders in rescue workers and accidents of one of the water and sewage companies in Iran.

Musculoskeletal disorders are one of the most important problems faced by ergonomists today. This study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effect of weather conditions, working conditions and mental workload on musculoskeletal disorders of rescuers and water and sewage company accidents in hot and cold seasons. The present study was a longitudinal study that was performed on all employees of rescue and disaster teams of Shiraz Water and Sewerage Company in Iran (184 people) by census. Demographic and Nordic questionnaires, NASA Load Index (NASA-TLX), work environment assessment with temperature screening checklist and workplace ergonomic risk factor (WERA) assessment method were performed by the researcher. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS version 23 software and parametric and non-parametric statistical tests. The results showed that the highest and lowest prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders related to knee and back in winter and thigh in summer with prevalence of 57.1, 55.4 and 6%. The comparison of exposure to heat stress factors in summer and winter seasons showed that the temperature factors and work clothes of the workers in both seasons are in worse conditions than other factors (P < 0968). The results of the mental workload of people in two seasons showed that the highest and lowest mental workload is related to physical changes in the winter season and frustration in the summer season, and this relationship was significant (P < 0.001). Using multiple logistic regression model, the potential risk factors for musculoskeletal injuries including age, height, BMI, level of education and work experience in both hot and cold seasons were compared. The results showed that in summer, work experience (OR = 1.16 (1.06-1.28.)) and height (OR = 1.03(0.98-1.08) had a direct effect on the prevalence of pain and discomfort arranged in the back areas. One year of increase in work experience significantly increases the chance of a disorder in the back by 16% and a one centimeter increase in height increases the chance of a disorder in the lumbar region by 3%, although this relationship is significant. It is recommended that suitable solutions such as using appropriate and up-to-date mechanical tools, reducing activity time, increasing rest time, increasing the number of personnel in order to reduce mental workload, using work clothes suitable for the season and type of work, and ergonomics training for workers are on the agenda of company officials. Systematic Modeling and Optimization for High‐Efficiency Interdigitated Back‐Contact Crystalline Silicon Solar Cells

This study utilizes Quokka3, an advanced solar cell simulation program, specifically tailored for interdigitated back‐contact (IBC) crystalline silicon (c‐Si) solar cells. Through meticulous Quokka3 simulations, the influence of several geometric and wafer characteristics of the solar cell backside on current–voltage (I–V) performance has been scientifically explored for IBC c‐Si solar cells. The investigation encompasses parameters such as wafer thickness, bulk lifetime, resistivity, emitter and back surface field area fraction, and front‐ and rear‐surface passivation. Optimal values for these parameters have been proposed to enhance the efficiency of IBC solar cells. These recommendations contain an emitter percentage of 70%, a wafer thickness ranging from 200 μm, a wafer resistivity of 1 Ω cm, and a wafer bulk lifetime of at least 10 ms. Moreover, under conditions where the cell is not short‐circuited, the potential for achieving higher cell efficiency, up to 26.64%, has been shown.

Risk Analysis of Work Posture and Body Mass Index to Musculoskeletal Disorders among Librarians at Universitas Airlangga

Introduction: Potential ergonomic hazards at work can lead to complaints of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). The Global Burden of Disease estimated that, by 2019, there were about 1.71 billion people in the world living with musculoskeletal problems. One of the jobs that has this risk is librarians because their jobs are dominated by static postures. This study aims to determine the correlation between work posture and body mass index (BMI) with MSDs complaints among librarians at Universitas Airlangga. Methods: This study is an analytical observational research with a cross-sectional design. The sample of this study consists of the total population of librarians at Universitas Airlangga that met the inclusion criteria, totaling 28 librarians. Primary data were obtained through the direct distribution of questionnaires to librarians, observations of work posture and musculoskeletal complaints in librarians. The data in this study were analyzed using the Spearman rank correlation test. Results: The research results showed that the level of mild MSDs complaints was reported by 7 librarians (25.0%), moderate complaints by 13 librarians (46.4%), and severe complaints by 8 librarians (28.6%). The statistical test results indicate a strong and positive correlation between work posture and MSDs complaints (r = 0.444), while a weak and positive correlation was found between BMI)(r = 0.222) and years of service (r = 0.158) with musculoskeletal disorders complaints. Conclusion: This study concludes that librarians in high-risk work postures may experience musculoskeletal disorders complaints, especially in the neck, shoulders, and back areas.

Approach of Shoshan and Sanshaman Chikitsa in Management of Mandal Kushtha w.s.r. to Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory, hyperproliferative skin disease. It is characterised by well-defined, erythematous scaly plaques, particularly affecting extensor surfaces, scalp and nails, and usually follows a relapsing and remitting course. Psoriasis affects approximately 1.5%-3% of populations of European ancestry but is less common in Asian, South American and African populations. It occurs equally in both sexes and at any age; although it is uncommon under the age of 5 years, more than 50% of patients present before the age of 30 years. Aims and Objectives: To find out the effect of Ayurvedic medicine and Shodhan chikitsa in the management of Mandal kushtha (psoriasis). Material and Methods: A 53-year-old male patient having complaint of skin lesion on scalp, upper back and abdomen area with red demarcation from last 15 years. Lesion having silvery scales and falling all rubbing with severe itching. This condition clinically correlated to Mandal Kushtha described in Ayurveda. Mandal Kushiha has Shwelam Raklam varna, Sthirar, Styanam and Utsana Mandala (skin begins with special characters. Acharya Charaka mentioned Shodhan Chikitsa for purification of Kushtha Roga. Result and Discussion: Considering The sign and symptoms patient was treated with classical Vamana Karam (therapeutic emesis) and Virechana karma (therapeutic purgation) according in line of treatment of Kushtha (psoriasis). Assessment was done before treatment, after treatment and after follow-up. Pictures were taken before treatment and after treatment. Remarkable improvement was noticed in scaling, induration and itching after Vamana and Virechanа treatment and residue only hyper pigmented pink lesion.

Comparison of Work-related Musculoskelatal Disorders among Working Women and Housewives

Background: Musculoskeletal conditions are the most common cause of physical and functional limitations among both working and nonworking population. A 45% increase has been observed over 20 years in these conditions due to changes in lifestyle and activities. Nearly 25% of the overall population in under developed countries complain of MSK symptoms which decrease their functional capacity by restricting them with pain. Objective: To find out the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders and compare them between housewives and working women. Methodology: This study was conducted on 57 females aged between 23 to 35, women with primary gravida; both housewives as well as working women were included for the study. Any participants with musculoskeletal/neurological/ psychological/ psychiatric / dermatological/ deficit or disorders that can affect the study were excluded. For the collection of the data, standardized Nordic Questionnaire was used. An informed consent was taken from the study participants. SPSS 25 was used for data analysis. Results: The overall mean age of the participating women was 28.97 years. Among the total population, 22 (46.4%) were housewives and 35 (53.6%) were working women. Among the working women, 12 (25.0%) worked part time (5-6 hours), 15 (20.4%) worked full time (8-10 hours) and 8 (6.1%) worked other hours. Conclusion: The upper limb regions were more commonly affected among the working women with neck region (64.4%) being the most affected followed by the shoulder and upper back area. Whereas among the housewives, musculoskeletal symptoms were more frequently reported in the shoulder region (71.5%) followed by increased symptoms in the lower back, ankle/feet and the knees.
