This thesis entitled "Ekokritik Literature in Film Kaze No Tani No Naushika Hayao Miyazaki's". The thesis aims to know the values of environmental conservation and barriers to environmental preservation. This thesis uses the Ekokritik Literature theory by Garrad’s (2004), the Environmental Ethics theory by Keraf (2010), and the semiotics theory by Pierce (in Barthes, 2007). The methods used to analyze the data is descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this thesis is the values of environmental conservation is showed with seven attitudes in environmental ethics, there are 1) respect for the environment, 2) the attitude of environmental responsibility, 3) an attitude of solidarity towards the environment, 4) the attitude of compassion and concern for the environment, 5) attitude is not detrimental to the environment unnecessarily, 6) attitude and the simple life in harmony with the environment, and 7) the principle of fairness. Barriers to environmental preservation in the film Kaze No Tani No Naushika Hayao Miyazaki is constituted by three anthropocentric view there are, 1) give priority to the rights and feelings of humans on the environment but does not emphasize human responsibility, 2) prioritizing short-term plans, 3) the assumption that separate humans from the environment.
