Abstract
Illness and health sociology is a popular area of research which have sociological functions in developed countries. However, in Turkey, beyond being neglected, this area has been newly discovered and becoming more significant by time. Because of these reasons, the academic interest about this area is considered to have a great sociological importance. By analyzing the medical policies implemented by the state and the situation as social out comes and evaluating these out comes in political area and reformulation processs hould be taken consideration in Turkey. In this regard, changing social structures according to the changes in family and working life and the substituting structures of public health organizations such as; Social Security Institution and special insurance institutions which have a medical dimension should be analyzed sociologically in Turkey. At the same time, sociological origns/sources of the legal norms which are the necessary tools of these formal structures, are one basic problematics of health sociology. In this regard, outside current discussions and scientific discussions about social solidarity attitudes, the analyze of codes regarding social solidarity attitudes have great importance. These decoding of these codes and relating them to the economic area and the attempt of profiling social solidarity patterns should be regardes as an important sociological attempt in constructing a who listicapproach in Turkey. Attempts to theming, conceptualizing and analyzing the values, norms and behaviors regarding health in relation with public and private dimensions should be considered as significant especially in terms of its pragmatic outcomes in health sector in Turkey and also in terms of developing sociological understanding and increasing specialization in it which would integrate it as a whole. From this justification, the political structure of health, the characteristics of social area in terms of health institutions and inter-relations of these two areas and even the interaction of education and economy institutions should be analyzed deeply. As a result, the studies in health sociology will be classified regarding the current situation in Turkey with identifying the great shortages in the area
