This research aims to discuss the concept of social capital, which has been widely used in the literature of sociology, politics and economics, not only as an analytical tool for various aspects of social practice; but also, it perhaps even more importantly, as an invitation to self-discovery of its sources of power in conditions of globalization. Furthermore, this power is reflected in the ability to establish a capable society of organizing and making progress. In order to define the concept of social capital, the paper will describe and analyze this concept within the framework of the theoretical structure which guided by the concept of social capital, and could developing countries, particularly Arab countries, use and activate this concept?
