Pengembangan LKPD Bermuatan Concept Mapping Berbasis Problem Based Learning pada Materi Sistem Peredaran Darah Manusia Terhadap Pemahaman Konsep Siswa Kelas VIII SMPN 14 Pontianak Timur

This study aims to develop Learner Worksheets (LKPD) containing concept mapping based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) on the material of the human circulatory system to improve the concept understanding of class VIII students at SMPN 14 East Pontianak. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The instruments used include expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and concept understanding tests. The data produced were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed that the developed LKPD was valid and feasible to use based on the assessment of material experts, media experts, and educational practitioners. Students' responses to the LKPD were also very positive, with high average scores on the aspects of ease, attractiveness, and usefulness. The application of LKPD in PBL-based learning shows a significant increase in students' concept understanding, as seen from the test results before and after using LKPD. Thus, this concept mapping and PBL-based LKPD is effective to be used as learning media to help students understand the material of human circulatory system

P-970. Impressions of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Subspecialty by Pediatric Resident Physicians and Medical Students Following a Peds ID Elective Rotation

Abstract Background The subspecialty of Pediatric Infectious Diseases continues to struggle with a low number of applicants seeking training relative to the number of fellowship programs and open training positions. We explored the impressions that medical students and pediatric residents gathered about the subspecialty after completion of a Peds ID elective as a Quality Improvement initiative. Methods Resident physicians and medical students at the University of Michigan, from July 2022 to present, were surveyed after their Peds ID elective experience. Participation was voluntary and only anonymous responses in aggregate form were reported. Results The survey response rate was 56.3% (27 of 48 learners invited; 79% resident physicians and 21% medical students). 100% of learners reported a high educational value in participating in a Peds ID elective. Despite only 7.4% of learners considering Peds ID as a career before the elective, 18.5% of learners reported considering Peds ID fellowship training after their elective experience. Respondents indicated that 1) expertise in the subject matter of infectious diseases, 2) a mixture of inpatient and outpatient clinical experiences, and 3) opportunities to participate in Infection Prevention and Public/Global Health, were the top three most attractive aspects of the Peds ID subspecialty. In contrast, respondents indicated that 1) salary and compensation, 2) antimicrobial stewardship responsibilities, and 3) patient volume and workload, were the three least attractive aspects of the Peds ID subspecialty. Conclusion Peds ID remains a popular elective among learners who praise the educational content and teaching. Relatively low compensation, a heavy workload, and displeasure with antimicrobial stewardship duties were some of the main negative impressions by learners. Despite these impressions, participation in a Peds ID elective did lead to over twice as many learners considering Peds ID for their future careers. A mandatory Peds ID experience should be considered for the educational benefit of all learners and may improve fellowship recruitment. We identified issues for our subspecialty to address through advocacy to improve working conditions and compensation, thereby helping train and sustain an appropriate Peds ID workforce for the future. Validação de website sobre prevenção combinada do HIV pela população geral

Abstract Objective To analyze the evidence of content validity of a website on combined HIV prevention for the general population. Methods This is a validation study of the educational content of a website on combined HIV prevention by 24 participants from the general population, who evaluated the content, verbal language, navigation structure, attractiveness and technological innovation, as well as usability indicators. A web survey was carried out, with virtual data collection and application of Likert-type questionnaires for consensus purposes. The analysis was structured into descriptive measures, as well as the Content Validity Index with a cutoff point estimated at 0.80. Results The website presented an overall agreement index of 0.98. The evaluated attributes proved to be valid in terms of content (0.97), verbal language used (0.98) and navigation structure (0.97), indicating relevance and logical organization of information, as well as high potential for learning, to expand access to care services and disseminate combined HIV prevention strategies. Furthermore, the website presented a satisfactory agreement indicator in the aspects of attractiveness (0.98), usability (0.83) and innovation (0.98). Conclusion The evidence of validity of the PREVINAIDST website by the general population demonstrated scientific, technological and operational support to inform and promote the combined prevention of HIV infection and allowed the assessment of the relevance of the content and adequacy of the language, in addition to promoting a participatory process in the construction of the content based on real needs of the population.

Beyond Juul: The New Face of Underage Nicotine Addiction - A Survey of College Students.

Youth nicotine addiction is a major public health concern in the United States. Disposable Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS), or disposable vapes, are commonly sought out by youth despite not having received premarket authorization from the FDA. The objective of this study was to identify factors contributing to underage consumption of disposable ENDS. An anonymous survey was deployed to college students to understand young adults' perceptions and patterns of use of disposable ENDS. Disposable ENDS are very popular among youth. The results of this study revealed the popular brands, flavors, modes of access, and attractive aspects of disposable ENDS. Survey results combined with information from the literature reveal that disposable ENDS gained popularity in the years following the decline in the popularity of pod-based ENDS, such as JUUL, following strict regulatory action from the FDA. To ultimately address underage nicotine addiction, the FDA must hold disposable ENDS to the same regulatory standards as other tobacco products and produce regulations specifically targeted at disposable ENDS. The results of this study emphasize the importance of making effective regulatory reform and functional educational resources to prevent young people from initiating the use of disposable ENDS.

FACTOR ANALYSIS OF NON-MUSLIM CUSTOMERS IN SAVING AT SHARIA BANK OF INDONESIA BANDA ACEH BRANCH

This research aims to analyze the factors that influence non-Muslim customers interest in saving at the Bank Syariah Indonesia BandaAceh Branch. With a background as a province with a majority Muslim population and the implementation of sharia law, Aceh provides its own challenges for non-Muslim customers in choosing financial institutions. This research covers factors such as regulatory policies, social norms, and the availability of Islamic banking services that influence the decision of non-Muslim customers to choose Bank Syariah Indonesia. The research method used is qualitative through the preparation and distribution of questionnaires distributed to non-Muslims as customers of Bank Syariah Indonesia. The results of this study there are several factors that cause non-Muslim customers to choose Bank Syariah Indonesia over other Islamic banks, namely non-Muslim customers in Banda Aceh tend to prefer Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) because of the affordability of location, attractive product promotions, quality service, and aspects forced by government regulations. These factors influence the decision of non-Muslim customers in choosing BSI as the first choice for their banking needs in the area.

An Empirical Study on Customer Retention: A Case Study of Melaka Tourism Industry

Customer retention has been emphasized as a significant subject of study in the competitive landscape of tourism destinations. Melaka is among the most frequented sites in Malaysia by both local and foreign tourists. It features a combination of heritage attractions that reflect its designation as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This study examines the determinants of customer retention in Melaka empirically. Questionnaires were employed to gather pertinent information from the tourists to know the factors affecting their repeat visitation to Melaka. The objective of the study is to examine the relationship between Destination Attributes, Motive, Cost, and Promotion Strategy related to customer retention in Melaka. The results indicate that Destination Attributes, Motive, and Cost have a positive relationship to customer retention meanwhile Promotion strategy was not related to customer retention empirically. The findings of this study suggested that "cost" was the primary factor influencing customer retention in Melaka. In conclusion, first-time and returning tourists possess distinct expectations yet exhibit comparable pleasure about the aspects of heritage attractions in the Heritage City of Melaka. Future researchers are advised to explore additional factors such as service quality and attraction management to increase the scope of the study. Expanding the sample size would also provide more robust insights, allowing for a broader generalization of findings. By refining the research design, future studies can contribute to a deeper understanding of customer retention in the tourism sector.

Developing Website as Media in Wordpress Assisted in Learning Momentum, Impulse, and Collision to Improve Students' Creative Thinking Skills

Teachers are expected to have several competences; master teaching materials and have Indonesian character and personality, inspire and be a role model, have a charming appearance, be authoritative, firm, sincere, and disciplined who are able to educate, learn, guide, direct, train, assess, and evaluate students in accordance with the demands of current and future developments in information and communication technology. The purpose of this research is to develop a word press-based website to improve students' creative thinking skills in the physics concept of impulse and impact momentum. The method used in this research is development research or Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model including five stages, namely the Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluate stages. The results showed that the wordpress-based website media developed was feasible to use for learning momentum, impuils and collisions on MA Ali Maksum students in class X physics subjects with a value of 86.3% media attractiveness aspect, 87.0% material adequacy and 83.7% language use and media validity declared feasible, and wordpres-based website learning media can also improve students' creative thinking skills on the concept of momentum, impulse and collision.

Direct Use of Ammonia in Solid Oxide Fuel Cells

With the global movement to suppress carbon use, hydrogen is emerging as an effective alternative to fossil fuels. However, there are difficulties in entering the energy market due to the lack of infrastructure and difficulties in storage/transportation when using hydrogen. Ammonia attracts attention as a promising solution to the hydrogen problem through well-established infrastructure around the world.Direct use of ammonia in solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) offers more attractive aspects such as high efficiency and compact system size. However, instability in long-term operation has been reported in many literatures, which is mostly attributed to Ni nitridation. To overcome Ni nitridation, the current study proposes an alloy-based fuel electrode and its facile fabrication process. In this study, we intend to improve ammonia cracking in anode layer in SOFCs, contributing to improvement both fuel cell performance and long-term stability. The details on the current work will be presented.

Circular Economy for Transport Infrastructure: An Overview of the Sustainable Use of Recycled Asphalt Shingles in Asphalt Mixtures

In North America and Europe, asphalt shingle waste created during the installation of roofing membranes and tear-off shingles retrieved at the end of the membrane’s life cycle are two major sources of municipal solid waste. Since almost 15–35% of recycled asphalt shingles (RAS) consist of an asphalt binder, the effective recycling of RAS into asphalt mixtures could also allow a reduction in the consumption of non-renewable resources such as asphalt binders. In this context, several studies investigating the use of RAS in asphalt mixtures can be found in the literature, although they exhibit widespread and sometimes conflicting information about the investigated materials, the mix preparation and testing methodologies and the experimental findings. Given this background, this review paper aims at summarizing the existing information and research gaps, providing a synthetic and rational picture of the current literature, where similar attempts cannot be found. In particular, different research studies show that the use of RAS in asphalt mixtures is an economical as well as an eco-friendly option. RAS with up to 20% by weight of binder or 5% by weight of aggregate/mixtures (eventually in combination with 15% reclaimed asphalt pavement aggregate) were found to be relatively suitable to improve the performance properties of asphalt mixtures, both in the laboratory and in the field. Adding RAS to asphalt mixtures could enhance their stiffness, strength and rutting resistance (i.e., high-temperature properties), while negatively affecting the mixtures’ fatigue and thermal cracking resistance. However, the addition of specific biomaterials (e.g., bio-binders, bio-oils) or additives to asphalt mixtures can mitigate such issues, resulting in lower brittleness and shear susceptibilities and thus improving the anti-cracking performance. On the other hand, the literature review revealed that several aspects still need to be studied in detail. As an example, RAS-modified porous asphalt mixtures (fatigue, rutting, moisture susceptibility and thermal cracking) need specific research, and there are no comprehensive research studies on the effects of the RAS mixing time, size and mixing temperature in asphalt mixtures. Moreover, the addition of waste cooking/engine oils (biomaterials) as asphalt binder rejuvenators in combination with RAS represents an attractive aspect to be studied in detail.

Efektivitas Penggunaan Aplikasi Open Source dalam Pembelajaran Matematika Komputer

Mathematics is an important aspect in the higher education curriculum, especially in the field of computer science. The role of mathematics such as calculus, algebra and statistics is urgent for current technological developments. So far, computer mathematics learning in INSTIKI classes has not utilized open source-based applications. For this reason, innovation is needed in mathematics learning, one of which is by utilizing the Geogebra application. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of using open source applications in computer mathematics learning. This research follows a quantitative descriptive research design involving a sample of 50 respondents selected purposively. Data was collected using a questionnaire consisting of 20 statement items and divided into three aspects, namely suitability of the material, convenience and attractiveness. The data was then analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The research results showed that from the suitability aspect of the material, the most dominant answer was obtained, namely strongly agree at 57%, from the convenience aspect, the most dominant answer was obtained, namely agree at 43%, while from the attractiveness aspect, the most dominant answer was obtained, namely strongly agree at 54%. From the research results it can be concluded that the use of open source applications is quite effective in learning computer mathematics.

Efforts to Develop Tourism Village Programs in an Effort to Improve Original Village Income in Gronjong Wariti Tourism Village, Mejono Village Plemahan District, Kediri Regency

Gronjong Wariti is a village tourism that has the characteristic of providing a tourist village as an entertainment object for tourists. The development of Gronjog Wariti Tourism Village has been attempted to develop to face a number of obstacles, including the many informal tourism managers. This research method is descriptive qualitative. The subjects are the Head of Mejono Village, the Head of the Gronjong Wariti Tourism Village Management Board, community leaders and residents of Gronjong Wariti Tourism Village. Interviews and observations are used in data collection. In this study, data analysis was carried out by collecting data, reducing data and presenting data to draw conclusions. The findings of this study explain that efforts to develop Gronjong Wariti Tourism Village can be seen from the aspects of tourist objects and attractions, tourism infrastructure, tourism facilities, and management/infrastructure management, the community. In terms of tourist objects and destinations, the village government has coordinated with the people to clean and rearrange tourist objects so that they can be visited by tourists. In terms of tourism infrastructure, the management of Gronjong Wariti Tourism Village works together with the community to provide places of worship, parking lots, toilets, food stalls, souvenir shops, and others. In terms of tourism facilities, the management of Gronjong Wariti Tourism Village has collaborated with the community to provide home accommodation and transportation services for tourists. In terms of management/infrastructure, the village government has developed a regulatory system to manage and develop tourism villages. In terms of the village community, the village government has made socialization to the community and tourism managers.

Perancangan Ulang User Interface Menggunakan Metode Human-Centered Design Pada Aplikasi Banyuwangi Tourism

The Banyuwangi Tourism Application is designed as a complete guide for tourists who want to explore Banyuwangi Regency. This application provides comprehensive information about tourist destinations, festivals and small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) on one platform. However, based on user reviews on Playstore, there are several problems such as monotonous design, disorganized layout, inconsistent font size and distance between text, as well as inappropriate icon and font color choices. This research aims to redesign the user interface design. so that the appearance and feel of the application is more in line with user needs. The Human-Centered Design (HCD) approach method was used in this research by placing humans as the main focus. The use of the User Experience Questionnaire provides a quick and effective assessment of the user's interactive experience, so the UEQ testing method was chosen as an effective way to assess user experience. The UEQ test results show that the redesign of the Banyuwangi Tourism application received higher scores in all aspects compared to the initial appearance. The attractiveness aspect received an average score of 2.02, clarity 2.07, efficiency 1.87, precision 1.63, stimulation 1.82, and novelty 1.67. This evaluation shows that the app redesign received positive feedback from users. Additionally, users find the app fast, easy to use, accurate, and innovative, although there is still room for improvement.

Characteristics of Ketapang Urban Aquaculture as a Tourism Destination in Tangerang Regency, Banten Province

Abstract. This research is driven by the great potential of tourism in improving the economy and affecting social and environmental aspects in Ketapang Urban Aquaculture (KUA). Although, the number of tourists tends to decrease. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the existing conditions in the main aspects of the 4A (Attractions, Amenities, Accessibility, and Ancillary) and analyze the perception of tourists so that it can be known what aspects need to be improved. The existing condition of KUA was analyzed using the descriptive analysis method, while the perception of tourists was analyzed using the scoring method. Analysis of existing conditions shows that KUA has a unique attraction: a mangrove park integrated with shrimp cultivation areas. KUA has an iconic amenity: the main building is shaped like a horseshoe crab and a Mangrove Plaza. The condition of the road to KUA is quite good and equipped with signposts. Analysis of tourist perception on the aspect of attraction with the highest score (1.97), namely mangrove park attractions, the lowest score (1.24) for mangrove plant education activities. The amenity aspect with the highest score (2.23) is cleanliness, and the lowest score (1.20) is for toilet facilities. The accessibility aspect of the highest score (2.54) is the main gate, and the lowest score (1.36) is the availability of public transportation modes. The ancillary aspect has the highest score (1.77) in management, and the lowest score (1.29) is promotion.

Maxim Application User Satisfaction Analysis Using The User Experience Questionnaire Method

This research aimed to explore the user experience of the Maxim application in Palembang City using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) method. As the need for flexible and affordable online transportation increases in big cities, applications like Maxim are becoming people's top choice. Despite having competitive rates, Maxim often gets mixed reviews from users. This study focused on measuring user satisfaction based on UEQ variables, namely attractiveness, efficiency, clarity, reliability, stimulation, and novelty, involving 206 respondents. The outcomes of the research reveal that users generally have a positive experience on aspects of attractiveness, clarity, and efficiency, but the values on novelty, stimulation, and reliability are still low, indicating room for improvement. This outcomes is expected to be a reference for Maxim developers in optimizing the quality of applications to meet the needs of users in Palembang, as well as providing guidance for similar application providers in improving the user experience.

Strategies to Increase Visitors by Developing Aspects of Attractions in Alam Santosa

Traditional games are an integral part of Indonesian culture and have been passed down from generation to generation. Traditional games have a positive impact on child development, but are currently facing considerable challenges due to the rapid development of technology that has changed the interests of the millennial generation. To ensure the preservation of traditional games, several conservation efforts have been made, such as integrating traditional games into the concept of desa wisata. The concept of desa wisata is a significant trend in the tourism industry. In addition to presenting an authentic experience, a desa wisata can illustrate the unique life and traditions of rural communities, for example Alam Santosa in Cikadut Village. Alam Santosa was established to introduce culture with a number of buildings with Sundanese architecture and typical West Javanese art. One of the tourism products featured at Alam Santosa is cultural education in the form of playing traditional games or commonly referred to as kaulinan barudak. However, currently the availability of attractions and amenities at Alam Santosa has not provided a positive experience for visitors. This research was conducted to answer the solution of improving the visitor experience at Alam Santosa by utilizing the surrounding potential to provide an authentic experience. The result of the design that has been carried out is the development of bebedilan with the concept of building-games to provide a positive experience that can be proven by a visitor satisfaction rate of 90%.

Investment attractiveness of agricultural enterprises as a factor in ensuring their competitiveness

Purpose - the study of theoretical and practical aspects of investment attractiveness of agricultural enterprises in Kazakhstan based on the analysis of the volume of attracted investments in the agro-industrial complex. Methods - research, descriptive and analytical types of strategies are used in combination with methods of formalization, abstraction, statistical processing and visualization of data. Results - in the authors' opinion, despite the fact that the agrarian sector is economically and socially significant for the rural areas of the republic, it remains unattractive for investors. Investment in the agrarian sector and the growth of investment projects in the agro-industrial complex are constrained by the acute shortage of financial resources, underdeveloped material, technical and technological base, and low effective demand of the population. Investments form the production potential and determine the competitive position of regions. The article considers the problems that hinder the increase in investment activity. The role of the state in the management of investment processes is revealed. The factors hindering the inflow of investment and measures to increase the volume of financial injections into agriculture are shown. Conclusions - creation of favorable investment climate in agro-industrial production and activation of investment activity of economic entities is one of the most urgent tasks of agro-industrial complex development. Based on the realities of the economic situation in the agricultural sector, it is necessary to mobilize its internal reserves, the formation of an effective market infrastructure, the growth of solvency of agricultural producers, the strengthening of state support. Only in this case the conditions for investment attractiveness will be formed and the degree of saturation of the food market of the country with the products of own production will increase, the possibility of renewal of fixed assets of the industry will appear.

PREPARATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF POLYMER INCLUSION MEMBRANES BASED ON BIODEGRADABLE CELLULOSE/ALGERIAN CLAY FOR HEAVY METALS REMOVAL FROM WASTEWATER

Separation membranes have gained attention as promising options for water and wastewater treatment due to their financial sustainability, and eco-friendliness. However, practical challenges have limited their application in water separation. To overcome these limitations, inorganic-organic hybrid membranes have been developed in this study. The present work deals with two attractive aspects: (i) economical, through the valorization of a local clay (Algerian kaolin), and (ii) environmental, which is based on the membrane selectivity for metal ions. The principal objective of this work is the development of enhanced nanocomposite membranes. It is achieved with low costs, based on cellulose triacetate (CTA) as a polymeric matrix modified by the addition of a lamellar filler, i.e. yellow clay obtained from Jijel, located in the east of Algeria, and plasticized by dioctyl phthalate (DOP). A further objective of this paper was the treatment of wastewater polluted by lead (Pb2+) and cadmium (Cd2+). The prepared membranes were characterized by various characterization techniques, including scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). All synthetized membranes had an amorphous structure, with homogeneous pore morphology and distribution. Moreover, the presence of nanocomposite clay showed effective integration into the membrane matrix and led to a significant improvement in thermal resistance. These membranes were applied to treat a synthetic aqueous solution contaminated with heavy metals, namely Pb2+ and Cd2+. The results revealed a rejection rate higher than 50%, suggesting the potential effectiveness of a stable and environmentally sustainable polymer inclusion membrane system for water purification.

Analysis on the Influence of Employer Branding Strategies with the Desires of Generation Z to Attract Potential Talent in the Start-Up Company: A Case Study of Andalin

The purpose of the research is to understand the factors that affect employer branding, particularly in the context of Generation Z employees in startup companies. Startups have emerged as a prominent career option for Generation Z in the current globalization era, due to their innovative and dynamic work environments. The goal of this study is to determine which aspects of employer attractiveness align with the aspirations and values of Generation Z, specifically analyzing PT Eximku Teknologi Indonesia (Andalin). The study used a qualitative methodology, involving in-depth interviews with internal Andalin and external startup employees. The purpose of the data collection is to identify how employees vary in their responses to the various aspects of employer attractiveness, such as Social Value, Development Value, Application Value, Safety Value, and Economic Value. According to the study, Andalin employees are largely satisfied on most criteria except Economic Value, where some respondents believe their workload is not appropriately provided. External respondents are dissatisfied with most characteristics, except for social, developmental, and economic values, demonstrating a lack of organizational belonging and long-term job stability in startups. Notable results indicate that social media efficiently showcases the working environment to Generation Z and attracts their attention, demonstrating how it is so important for employer branding. Another suggested strategy to increase awareness of the company's culture, vision, mission, and core values of the company is to improve the career website. Furthermore, offering complimentary educational or developing skills courses is suggested as an efficient way of underlying continuous development within the organization, which results in attracting potential employees.

This research was conducted to see an overview of the potential for creative economic development at the Paepira Lake Side tourist attraction, so that it can increase tourist attraction. The research method used was descriptive case study research. The author looked at the potential of the Paepira Lake Side tourist attraction and then analyzed it based on the following aspects. aspects of tourist attraction and creative potential. The Paepira Lake Side tourist attraction has potential but looking at the aspects of tourist attraction it can be concluded that it does not meet the criteria. Recommendations that can be given by researchers are to increase cooperation between the local community, government, business people and academics to build and develop tourism that is more interesting to visit. The economic sub-sector that can be prioritized is the culinary aspect.
