This article explores the emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) like ChatGPT by analyzing the form, function, and meaning of Jaran Kepang art across Java. The research investigates how ChatGPT can aid in understanding and preserving traditional cultural arts like Jaran Kepang. ChatGPT offers advanced methods for data analysis, pattern recognition, and preservation of intangible cultural heritage. This study employs cultural anthropology and traditional communication theories, enhanced by ChatGPT-driven analysis, to examine Jaran Kepang's regional differences and thematic patterns. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research combines literature review, direct observation, and ChatGPT technologies to analyze data. Central Java's Jaran Kepang emphasizes mystical and spiritual elements to ward off evil spirits and bring good luck. East Java's version, associated with legends like Ki Sasmita, involves trance performances and moral storytelling. In West Java, linked to the spread of Islam by Sunan Gunung Jati, the art features diverse horse forms in rituals reinforcing community identity. ChatGPT technologies facilitate the analysis of these variations, revealing how each region's Jaran Kepang reflects local adaptation and cultural evolution. St. Dominic’s Church in Turobin – a Pearl of the Lublin Renaissance

The subject of the article is the historical and architectural analysis of the Church of St. Dominic in Turobin, which is a significant example of Renaissance sacred architecturein the Lublin region. The specific objectives include presenting the history of the town and the parish church, its architecture, and interior decoration. The article containsa formal-stylistic and comparative analysis of the Turobin church. Built in the 15th century, the church has undergone numerous phases of expansion and renovation, making it an interesting research object. As an example of “Lublin Renaissance” architecture, it is a valuable element of the region’s cultural heritage, combining rich history, traditions, and unique artistic qualities. The historical comparative method supplemented by the stylistic method was used.

The Application of Traditional Chinese Auspicious Animal Patterns in Commercial Poster Illustration

Traditional Chinese auspicious animal patterns are significant symbols of Chinese culture, carrying profound historical and cultural connotations. In the context of globalization and digitalization, how to innovatively apply traditional patterns to modern commercial poster illustrations has become an important topic in the cultural and creative industries. This study focuses on traditional Chinese auspicious animal patterns, exploring their application strategies and practical approaches in commercial poster illustrations. Through literature review, case analysis, and comparative analysis, this paper examines the cultural and artistic characteristics of traditional patterns, combined with the visual language and communication functions of commercial poster illustrations. It proposes application strategies such as aligning pattern selection with themes, integrating traditional designs with modern aesthetics, unifying color schemes with brand identity, and enhancing composition for visual impact. By analyzing typical domestic and international cases, the study summarizes successful experiences and shortcomings, providing theoretical support and practical guidance for the modern application of traditional patterns. The research demonstrates that incorporating traditional Chinese auspicious animal patterns into commercial poster illustrations not only inherits and promotes traditional culture but also enhances the cultural value and market competitiveness of designs, injecting new vitality into the sustainable development of the cultural and creative industries.

Practical Exploration of Anti-Japanese Ethnic Music Empowering Colleges and Universities to Cultivate a Strong Consciousness of the Chinese National Community

Anti-Japanese folk music, as an important art form for the Chinese people to fight against foreign invasion and inherit national culture, contains rich historical value and spiritual connotation. Integrating anti-Japanese folk music into the education of Chinese national community consciousness in higher education can strengthen students' sense of national identity, enhance cultural self-confidence, and promote the intermingling and inheritance of multi-ethnic cultures. Through exploring the historical background, artistic qualities and application of anti-Japanese folk music in college education, this paper proposes a path of implementation based on curriculum design, practical activities and campus culture construction to provide innovative practical experience for forging a strong sense of Chinese national community.

명창 박기홍의 삶과 <춘향가>의 특징

This study examines the historical status of pansori master Park Ki-hong, examining his life, activities, artistic characteristics, and his view on the education of pansori. It organizes his Chunhyangga, which remains as Okjunghwa, into the context and characteristics of the transmission of Joonggoje (中古制). First, we summarize Park Ki-hong’s life. Park was born in Naju in 1845 and lived there until 1925, gaining fame as a master of Joonggoje. Second, we examine the characteristics of Park’s vocals. To this end, we summarize the characteristics of the vocals and activities of master singers from Park Ki-hong’s teacher Jeong Chun-pung to his disciples Kim Jeong-gil and Jo Hak-jin from the perspective of the history of transmission. Third, we examine Park Ki-hong’s views on vocal education. Park was a strict yet warm educator, and he seemingly taught thorough training and effort. Fourth, we explore the context in which his vocals were transformed into new novels by viewing Okjunghwa as Park Ki-hong’s Joonggoje, Chunhyangga. The fact that Park's Chunhyangga was chosen as a modern performance piece for the improvement of Chunhyangga proves that intellectuals had a strong opinion of Joonggoje. Park's Chunhyangga can be considered to have played a role in announcing a new beginning for modern Chunhyangga. As a work of Park Ki-hong, the characteristics of Okjunghwa include the following: the conflict of love is highlighted, the critical awareness of lyrics that do not fit with customs is revealed, Chunhyang is acknowledged by Lee doryeong's family, there is a scene of Buddhist service at Manbok temple, the reflection of modern lyrics, and the absence of punishment for Byeonsato. In summary, Park Ki-hong must be recognized as a Joonggoje master singer, and Okjunghwa can be said to reflect the reality of Joonggoje Chunhyangga.

Žánr na hraně: inovativní rysy české záhadologické prózy

The author of the present contribution deals with the development of the Czech enigmatic prose since the 1960s which arose from a specific branch of classical science fiction by means of the gradual transition to the problem of enigma expressing the cinviction of the extraterrestrial origin of humankind which might radically change the whole concept of history of the Earth and our notion of the rise and fall of cosmos.This type of nonfiction has often an artistic character of belles lettres (fiction) which absolved of the responsibility for strict rationalism and the only right views shared by the science mainstream. The authors of this type of prose quite frequently used genre masks for expressing their real research intentions. Later they ceased to be so timid and started create the real literature of the fact that moved along the boundary of fiction and nonfiction like the majority of world bestsellers. The clusters of such works and the groupings of their authors have been formed the special canon having – as a other genres or types of literature – its fandom and also sharp critics. The author of the present contribution focused on two main figures of this current – Ludvík Souček (1926–1978) and Arnošt Vašíček (born 1953) – not avoiding their predecessors in world interliterary community. The present contribution came to the conclusion that especially this genre type has an immense potential to develop and link various poetological strata of both fiction and nonfiction permeating them in most prolific way. From the point of view of literary scholarship these artefacts have been playing the key role in world literature, at least the most read and readable which lasu contains strong elements of genuine creativity.

АҚЫН-САТИРИК ШОНА СМАХАНҰЛЫНЫҢ ШЫҒАРМАШЫЛЫҚ МҰРАСЫ

The article extensively examines the creative legacy of the satirical poet Shona Smakhanovich. Special attention is paid to the life and period, important moments of public activity, views on the interests of the country, the system of positions defining the ideals of the nation. The important thing is that the topic is significant, the genre system is clear, the content is revealed from different angles – humor, criticism, shishima-pinches, systematic presentations of relevant aspects of society, the realities of time, a thousand complexities of the human world with sharp tongues, tortuous thought, sharp stanzas are transmitted on the basis of in-depth analysis, research-study. In particular, the object of study were works published in different years: «Kezdik», «Zhasyraiyak nesine», «Zhymiyady zheneshem», «Elpekpaydyn tentegi», «Otkirdin zhuzi», «Tandamalys hygarmalar» dedicated to the interests of the country, the ideals of the nation, negative manifestations in society, human interaction, all kinds of scenespaintings no humor, no criticism, no criticism, no serious assessments, no insightful research system. As a result, the creative heritage, thematic channel, genre and artistic features of the satirical poet Sh. Smakhanovich, a social phenomenon, the realities of time, the ideals of human existence and work, points of view-positions in relation to actions acquire a meaningfully nutritious, reliable character in the context of truth, in the context of true realities. The author's position, thematic specificity, channels of artistic worldview are also considered from different sides and have a systemic field.

The Aesthetic Presentation of Chinese Classical Music in Piano Performance

Piano art has a certain sense of musical beauty, and the performance of piano works can fully reflect the artistic and aesthetic connotations of music works. In piano performance, the aesthetic presentation of Chinese classical music can further enhance the performance effect and give the audience and listeners a better artistic experience. Therefore, this paper analyzes the artistic characteristics of Chinese classical music and the characteristics of piano performance and discusses the aesthetic presentation and effect of Chinese classical music in piano performance.

Из истории первого сводного текста башкирского народного эпоса «Идукай и Мурадым»

Research objectives: The purpose of the study is to restore the chronicle in the work of the Tatar scholar-encyclopedist, Naki Isanbet (1899–1992), pertaining to the creation and promotion of the consolidated text of the Bashkir folk epic, “Idukai and Muradim”. The research material was based on personal sources: memoirs, correspondence of a folklorist, a summary text of the 1933 edition with author's notes for translators. In the second half of 1920s to the first half of 1930s, Naki Isanbet participated in the first academic project in Russian history to collect, study, and create critical texts of epics of the peoples of the USSR, headed by scientists of the USSR Academy of Sciences. The Tatar scientist is rightfully considered a pioneer in this field. Naki Isanbet's textual works on the epic, “Idegey”, have been recognized not only within the USSR, but also abroad. Research materials: The comprehensive text of the “Idukai and Muradim” epic by Naki Isanbet (1933); sources of a personal nature: memoirs, correspondence with a folklorist, etc. The research was conducted using cultural-historical, comparative, and descriptive methods. Novelty of the research: The novelty of our research is found in its comprehensive study of the creative history of the textual work on the “Idukai and Muradim” Bashkir epic, providing the first summary text and the history of this epic’s development. Results of the research: The scientific and historical value of this source has been determined within the framework of the study. The objective and subjective reasons for the dramatic fate of the consolidated text of the Bashkir version of the epic about Idegey are revealed. The structure of the handwritten text in Latin is described. Its plot and compositional features, character system, and artistic features are briefly described. It is demonstrated that Naki Isanbet was the first compiler of the consolidated text of the Bashkir folk epic, “Idukai and Muradim”. A comparative analysis of the editions of the consolidated text of 1928 and 1933 indicates that there was a “general constructive premeditation” aimed at actively influencing the reader, following the established genre and stylistic canon, as was noted by the textual critic. The history of Naki Isanbet’s cooperation with the Academia publishing house eliminates not only one of the “blind spots” in the history of the existence of this consolidated text, but also indirectly characterizes the circle of collaborative contacts of the Tatar scientist with Russian folklorists in 1930.

Differentiation of design solutions according to architectural and artistic criteria

The paper proposes a classification of buildings and structures into levels by the criterion of whether their design solutions contain such architectural and artistic qualities as architectural idea, artistic image and integrity of architectural composition. In total, four levels of construction have been identified. At the lower first level, the utilitarian-functional approach prevails, where the shell of the building body strictly follows the function and carries no artistic meaning. The second level is decoration or embellishment, when patterns, mantles and decor are superimposed on the object. At the next level, work concerns the form: the exterior express the units or program, cantilevered spaces, offset volumes (left-right, up-down, forward-inwards), various surface finishes. The highest level is when the volume conveys an architectural idea, an artistic idea, and all the composition techniques and means work to reveal it.

Study on the Heritage and Development of the Forbidden City's Ceramic Culture through the Lens of Intercultural Communication

This paper conducts an in-depth study on the inheritance and development of the Forbidden City's ceramic culture from the perspective of cross-cultural communication. By combing through the historical origins, artistic characteristics, and cultural connotations of the Forbidden City's ceramics, this paper reveals its significant position in the transmission of Chinese culture. Furthermore, the article analyzes how the Forbidden City's ceramic culture transcends geographical and cultural boundaries to achieve international dissemination and exchange under the backdrop of globalization. Based on this, the paper discusses the opportunities and challenges faced by the Forbidden City's ceramic culture in its inheritance and development process and proposes corresponding strategies and suggestions. The research aims to promote the international dissemination of the Forbidden City's ceramic culture, to drive its innovation and development in contemporary society, and to provide reference for the protection and transmission of world cultural heritage.

THE “STEPPE WAR” (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE NATIONAL LIBERATION MOVEMENT OF KAZAKHS LED BY SARZHAN AND KENESARY KASYMOVS)

This article deals with the problems of the steppe war during the national liberation movement of the Kazakh people under the leadership of Sultan Sarzhan and Khan Kenesary Kasymov (1824-1847). The author considers the term "steppe war", and its semantic meaning and peculiarities. Also on the example of military art of the Kazakh people in the first half of the XIX century, the specificity of steppe warfare and features of military art are studied. The territory of the Middle Juz became the main area of military operations during the period of the Kazakh people's intervention against the tsarist troops for the restoration of their independence. Through the experience of the Steppe War, it is possible to trace the main events that took place during the years of the protest movement of the legendary grandsons of Abylai Khan primarily on the territory of the Middle Juz. These are steppe territories, which were characterized by the lack of natural shelters in the form of forests and mountains.

An analysis method: Artistic value inheritance of Silk Road Flower Rain

This paper investigates development of Dunhuang music and dance drama Silk Road Flower Rain, highlighting its significance in promoting Dunhuang culture. It examines the artistic innovation and cultural connotations that influence the artistic value of the work. Through quantitative methods such as surveys and respondents evaluations, the study assesses various indicators of artistic value, including music composition, artistic innovation, emotional expression, and cultural depth. The findings reveal that the overall artistic value scores of Silk Road Flower Rain is 3.407 out of 5, indicating a high level of artistic quality. Key factors affecting this value include music composition, artistic innovation, and cultural connotation. The study emphasizes the importance of balancing traditional artistic characteristics with modern innovations to enhance the work's appeal to contemporary audiences. In conclusion, Silk Road Flower Rain serves as a significant cultural emblem of Chinese music and dance, contributing to international cultural exchanges and enhancing the global influence of Chinese arts. The research provides insights into the preservation and development of Dunhuang performing arts, emphasizing the need for continuous innovation while respecting traditional roots.

An Interdisciplinary Analysis of the Late Islamic Cemeteries Within the Cathedral (15th–18th Century CE) and the Ruins of Adulis (Mid-19th–Early 20th Century CE), Massawa, Eritrea: Funerary Architecture, Funerary Rituals, Burial Rites, and Bioarcheological Data Identifying Late Islamic Graves in Central Eastern Eritrea

Systematic studies on Late Islamic cemeteries that integrate architectural, ritual, and biological aspects remain relatively rare, particularly in Islamic countries or regions with an active Muslim presence. Typically, available research focuses more on epigraphic and artistic features. Since 2018, excavations at the Cathedral and surveys in the ruins of the city of Adulis (Massawa, Eritrea) have uncovered 326 Muslim graves: six dating to the 15th and 18th centuries CE and 320 attributed to the mid-19th to the early 20th century CE. These discoveries have enabled, for the first time in Eritrea, a detailed scientific study of the biological characteristics of the human remains, the funerary architecture, and the burial rites of Muslim communities from the 15th to the early 20th century. The skeletal remains were analyzed through taphonomic and anthropological studies. The graves were categorized into various typologies based on their structural features, while evidence of funerary rituals was documented as indicative elements of the burial practices adopted. These findings were further enriched by ethnographic sources and collaborative work with local communities, who acted as custodians of the historical memory and traditions of the region. The results provide insights into a historical period of Eritrea that is otherwise poorly documented. More broadly, they contribute to the understanding of the history of the Horn of Africa, a region with limited data from funerary and archaeological contexts. The Muslim cemeteries of Adulis represent the most extensively investigated Muslim burial site in recent years, providing critical insights into the historical Muslim presence in the region. These findings also allow researchers to hypothesize the succession of various communities that chose Adulis as a central location for interring their deceased, reflecting its enduring significance as a focal point for cultural and ritual practices across different periods.

СHINESE-SOVIET COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF ARCHITECTURE (ON THE EXAMPLE OF HARBIN POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY)

The study considers a unique example of the Chinese-Soviet coopera-tion in the field of architecture − the main academic building of Harbin poly-technic institute built in the 1950s. The prerequisites for the construction and design conception as well as the description of the brief fate of the architect Pyotr Sergeevich Sviridov (1889-1971), who built that building, are given. The architectural details and artistic features of the buildings of Moscow and Har-bin universities are compared. The artistic characteristics emphasize solemnity, simplicity, and functionality. The author analyzes a striking example of the Stalinist classicist style in the People’s Republic of China, emphasizes its im-portant role in the development of the university buildings’ construction and contribution to urban culture. The relevance and novelty of the undertaken re-search approach are in comparing the architecture of the buildings of the lead-ing universities of Moscow and Harbin, as well as in the suggestions in the conclusion which are connected with preservation of the Stalinist classicism heritage in Harbin aimed at ensuring effective protection of the historical buildings. Through the comprehensive presentation and analysis the unique value and significance of the main academic building of Harbin polytechnic university as a symbol of the Chinese-Soviet cooperation are demonstrated.

COFFEEHOUSE PAINTING: ART, FAITH, AND SOCIETY

Coffeehouse (Qahveh-Khaneh) painting, a vibrant Iranian folk art form flourishing during the Qajar era (18th-20th centuries), has been primarily studied through its aesthetic or sociological aspects. This research uniquely investigates its multimedia nature, revealing a dynamic interplay with the oral storytelling tradition of Naqqali and the theatrical performances of Ta'zieh. To analyze the historical development, artistic characteristics, social functions, and cultural impact of Coffeehouse painting within the Iranian context, highlighting its multimedia character and its relationship with Naqqali and Ta'zieh. A qualitative thematic analysis of existing scholarly literature, predominantly in Persian, was conducted. Sources were reviewed, translated, and analyzed to identify recurring themes and patterns. Coffeehouse paintings served as a powerful medium for disseminating religious beliefs, shaping national identity, and bolstering morale during a period of colonial influence. The art form's visual conventions and narrative strategies were deeply intertwined with Naqqali and Ta'zieh traditions. This study reveals Coffeehousepain ting as a significant force in shaping Iranian cultural identity and underscores the importance of studying multimedia art forms within their specific socio-historical contexts.

Research on Digital Virtual Human Head Avatar Generation Technology with Cartoon Style

This paper proposes a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN)-based approach for generating anime-style cartoon avatars, addressing the current limitations in cartoon avatar datasets, including their scarcity and copyright restrictions. Due to the limited availability of high-quality, diverse cartoon datasets, particularly for anime-style faces, obtaining large-scale labeled data for training deep learning models remains a significant challenge. To overcome these issues, we train a GAN model on a large collection of anime-style images to generate unique, high-quality cartoon faces. The generator learns to capture the distinctive features of anime art, such as exaggerated expressions, vibrant colors, and stylized facial proportions, while the discriminator ensures the realism and diversity of the generated avatars. Our experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method not only produces visually appealing avatars faithful to the anime aesthetic but also offers a scalable solution to the datasets limitations and copyright concerns. This approach opens up new possibilities for applications in digital art, gaming, and social media, where custom cartoon avatars are increasingly in demand.

Style Transfer of Chinese Wuhu Iron Paintings Using Hierarchical Visual Transformer.

Within the domain of traditional art, Chinese Wuhu Iron Painting distinguishes itself through its distinctive craftsmanship, aesthetic expressiveness, and choice of materials, presenting a formidable challenge in the arena of stylistic transformation. This paper introduces an innovative Hierarchical Visual Transformer (HVT) framework aimed at achieving effectiveness and precision in the style transfer of Wuhu Iron Paintings. The study begins with an in-depth analysis of the artistic style of Wuhu Iron Paintings, extracting key stylistic elements that meet technical requirements for style conversion. Furthermore, in response to the unique artistic characteristics of Wuhu Iron Paintings, this research constructs a multi-layered network structure capable of effectively capturing and parsing style and content features. Building on this, we have designed an Efficient Local Attention Decoder (ELA-Decoder) that adaptively decodes the style and content features through correlation, significantly enhancing the length dependency of local and global information. Additionally, this paper proposes a Content Correction Module (CCM) to eliminate redundant features generated during the style transfer process, further optimizing the migration results. In light of the scarcity of existing datasets for Wuhu Iron Paintings, this study also collects and constructs a dedicated dataset for the style transfer of Wuhu Iron Paintings. Our method achieves optimal performance in terms of loss metrics, with a reduction of at least 4% in style loss and 5% in content loss compared to other advanced methods. Moreover, expert evaluations were conducted to validate the effectiveness of our approach, and the results show that our method received the highest number of votes, further demonstrating its superiority.

Артизация как доминирующая характеристика современной массовой культуры

The manifestation of artization in various spheres of mass culture, including media, art, leisure and everyday realities, gives it the role of one of the leading characteristics of contemporary cultural space. The impact of artization on the production, consumption, and interpretation of cultural forms, as well as the formation of cultural identity, social norms, and moral and ethical values, testifies to the importance of this phenomenon for the further evolution of culture. The authors define artization as a process in which non-art objects, events, and practices are endowed with artistic qualities and aestheticized. Being a key factor of mass culture in the XXI century, artization manifests itself in the forms of the aestheticization of everyday life, the theatricalization of social life, and the blurring of the boundaries between art and life. The study reveals that it has both positive and negative consequences for the development of culture. On the one hand, as a result of artization, access to artistic experience is expanded and creativity is stimulated, while on the other hand, superficiality, trivialization and loss of traditional values of culture and art are observed. The authors conclude that artization is an integral part of modern mass culture, it has a pronounced impact on the evolution of human culture and society.

OTHERWORLDLY LANDSCAPES IN THE HISTORIC TEXT <i>TRUYỀN KỲ MẠN LỤC</i> BY NGUYEN DU

Truyền kỳ mạn lục, the only literary work of the renowned Confucian scholar Nguyen Du, is considered the brilliant peak of Vietnamese supernatural tales. This paper aims to decode a distinctive aspect of the artistic thinking in Truyền kỳ mạn lục and contribute to establishing the applicability of landscape theory in the study of medieval literature. By applying landscape theory and model-setting methods, the paper analyzes and compares the richness and uniqueness of spatial movement types that create otherworldly landscapes as a hallmark of supernatural stories. The paper identifies the methods, nuances, artistic discourse, and construction of models of otherworldly landscapes in 20 stories from the historic text, Truyền kỳ mạn lục, highlighting both the similarities and differences in the artistic thinking of otherworldly landscapes and the unique artistic features in Nguyen Du’s creation of these landscapes. This study promotes Vietnamese literary heritage and contributes to advancing the research and teaching of the genre of East Asian supernatural literature at educational institutions.
