Research on the Path of Folk Art

With the development of social economy, the globalization of the world has become an inevitable trend. However, the cultures of various countries and nationalities in the world are constantly communicating and merging with each other; the folk art in China has been greatly impacted, and the traditional culture with distinctive national characteristics has been rejected. Strengthening folk art education is needed not only to improve people's personality and cultivate people's aesthetic taste, but also to protect traditional culture and impart national spirit. With the rapid development of information technology relying on hand-held learning equipment, mobile internet technology, and network multimedia technology, life-long learning is possible. Using smart mobile devices to study the art teaching of folk art is conducive to in-depth exploration, applying the learning methods of folk art to our own study and life, and protecting and inheriting the infringed folk art.

Research on flexible teaching innovation

Flexible teaching is essentially a new strategy for teaching "stability and change". The characteristic of traditional linear thinking is diachronicity, while the characteristic of flexible thinking is synchronicity without specific restrictions.Teaching allows students to understand the natural order of the development and evolution of things from the seemingly chaotic and complex phenomena, gain insight into the next step forward, identify potential unknown needs and develop students' thinking, and then foresee changes and automatically cope with changes. This is the essence of flexible teaching innovation. Flexible teaching is marked by "humanization" and emphasizes jumps and changes, speed and response, sensitivity and flexibility. Flexible teaching does not mean no principles. It complements and complements institutional teaching. Teaching requires harmony, and harmony is inseparable from flexible teaching and institutional teaching. Grasping the scale of teaching and flexibility in teaching is the art of teaching.

Objectives This study was conducted to find out the effect of integrated children's art classes of exploration, expression, and appreciation on the creativity, art appreciation ability, and art teaching efficacy of pre-service childhood teachers. Methods Participants in the study were 21 students who took children's art courses in the second semester of 2023 among H University students located in D city. This class was held for a total of 45 hours, 3 hours per week. The collected data included pre- and post-survey questionnaires on creativity, art appreciation ability, and art teaching efficacy, art portfolio, and lecture evaluation forms during and at the end of the semester. The results of quantitative analysis (paired samples t test) and qualitative analysis (open coding method) were as follows. Results First, the integrated children's art class of exploration, expression, and appreciation was effective in enhancing creativity, and it was found that it was effective in alternative solutions and original flexibility among sub-areas. Specifically, imagination and creative thinking skills were developed through the exploration of aesthetic elements in life, and my own creative expression ability was developed through cooperative art activities and work appreciation. Second, this class was found to be effective in enhancing the ability of pre-service childhood teachers to appreciate art. Specifically, cognitive appreciation ability was developed through the expansion of art concepts and knowledge, and work appreciation experience centered on aesthetic elements. Third, this class was found to be effective in enhancing the efficacy of art teaching, and in particular, it was found that it was effective in enhancing the individual efficacy of art teaching. Specifically, teaching ability was developed through knowledge and understanding of early childhood art education and experience in art practice, and teaching efficacy was developed through direct and indirect teacher role experience. Conclusions Therefore, it can be seen that it is meaningful to apply an integrated art education class of exploration, expression, and appreciation to the pre-service teacher training course to improve creativity, art appreciation ability, and art teaching efficacy.

A Hermeneutical Evaluation of Luther’s Sola fide and its relevance to the Doctrine of Salvation in The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Southwest Zone

Purpose: The study evaluates Luther’s theory of sola fide and its relevance to the doctrine of salvation in The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Southwest Zone. The doctrine of sola fide typically entails the notion that salvation is through faith only. Unfortunately, in contemporary times, the concept of salvation has suffered much misunderstanding. It has been a subject of much controversy characterised with so much variations and confusion of thoughts in its art of teaching. Materials and Methods: Employing the tool of hermeneutics and critical assessment, the study comparatively examined the theo-linguistic implications of Luther’s sola fide and TACN’s doctrine of salvation. Findings: The study discovers that TACN’s doctrine of salvation shares fundamental similarities but TACN’s doctrine of salvation extends the doctrine of salvation further than Luther’s sola fide by emphasizing the possibility of a Christian losing his salvation. However, it is discovered and argued that TACN’s commitment to the doctrine of sola fide has not been balanced in practice. While the church professes that salvation is attained through faith only, her officials and members are observed to lay significant emphasis on salvation through works. Implications to Theory, Practice and Policy: This study therefore recommends that the church should be consistent in its commitment to sola fide both in doctrine and practice. This can be achieved through consistency in the art of teaching what is believed by the church

Interest, Collaboration, Autonomous Learning and satisfaction in the Blended Teaching of Martial Arts

This study involves two classes of education majors taking a general Martial Arts course, using traditional teaching methods for one class and blended teaching methods for the other over a semester. It aims to compare the learning outcomes in terms of student interest in Martial Arts, cooperative learning abilities in sports, and independent learning abilities. The goal is to explore the feasibility and effectiveness of the online and offline blended teaching mode in university Martial Arts instruction. The result showed that compared to traditional teaching methods, the implementation of blended learning based on online teaching platforms complements students' interest in learning martial arts, as well as their ability to learn independently and collaboratively. With the implementation of personalized learning, interest has increased, and the abilities to learn independently and through hands-on learning have been cultivated, resulting in improved satisfaction.

Is PowerPoint killing the art of medical teaching and is the interactive board way forward?

In classroom teaching, especially in the medical field, it has made the teaching-learning method very effective. Medical teaching evolves quite rapidly, and the same set of slides becomes outdated very frequently. PowerPoint presentation (PPT) are easily editable and hence save a lot of time while updating. Furthermore, medical teaching (any subject) has a lot of pictures and videos in teaching. These can be quite easily and effectively used in PPT, which is not possible in Chalk and Board. Effective teaching is not only dissipation of information but also about continuity and storytelling. This generally gets affected if someone is over reliant on slides in PPT. In our view, a PPT should have at most 15 – 20 slides for a 1-h lecture. This will allow more time in discussion and less time in slide reads.

Digital media entertainment technology based on artificial intelligence robot in art teaching simulation

The combination of digital media entertainment technology and artificial intelligence robots provides new possibilities for art teaching, providing students with a richer and more personalized learning experience. The aim of this study is to explore the application of artificial intelligence based digital media entertainment technology in art teaching simulation. By designing an intelligent digital media system, the interactivity, personalization, and effectiveness of art teaching can be improved. Research the use of digital media interactive technology to create an immersive art learning environment. Applying artificial intelligence recommendation algorithms to recommend personalized art teaching resources to students based on their learning history, interests, and abilities, in order to improve learning efficiency and outcomes. Combining artificial intelligence recommendation algorithms, intelligently recommend suitable art teaching resources for different students’ needs and levels. Through teaching interaction simulation testing, evaluate the interaction effect and user experience of the system in simulated art teaching scenarios, identify and fix potential problems. By utilizing digital media interaction technology and personalized recommendation algorithms, designing an intelligent digital media system can effectively enhance the interactivity, personalization, and effectiveness of art teaching, providing students with a better learning experience.

Fostering Educator Buy-in of Language and Literacy in the Science Classroom

This paper describes a project to build linguistic awareness among science educators at multiple levels: pre-service K–12 teachers, in-service K–12 teachers, and university faculty in both education and STEM fields. Educational linguists from a language-focused non-profit research organization created modules on teaching culturally and linguistically diverse students for a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program for middle school science educators at a large urban U.S. university. The module content, which was integrated into three science education methods courses, was designed around three key principles: linguistic understanding, critical language awareness, and pedagogical modeling. A critical component to the project’s success was fostering “buy-in” from the various groups of educators through multiple means, including piloting materials with in-service science teachers, training university faculty on the language and literacy materials, and revising content based on feedback from the MAT program faculty and students. The findings demonstrate that over time, the educators re-examined their roles as teachers of language and literacy and reassessed their thinking related to science instruction, highlighting the efficacy of incorporating language development content into training and professional development for STEM educators at multiple levels.

Personalized recommendation of entertainment robots in fine arts education based on human–computer interaction and data mining

In the current digital entertainment environment, the art learning mode of human–computer interaction can effectively enhance students’ interest. Entertainment robots, as a novel personalized interaction tool, can provide a more intelligent and entertaining way for art teaching. This article analyzes the personalized recommendation of entertainment robots in art education based on human–computer interaction and data mining.On the basis of collecting a large number of fine art education resources and organizing and labeling them, data mining technology is used to extract user background information and interest preferences. Information retrieval technology is used to filter out content related to user interests from the massive art education resources based on the extracted user interests. We also use recommendation algorithms to sort and personalize the recommended content based on the user’s historical behavior and other user evaluations, in order to improve the accuracy of recommendation results and user satisfaction. The effectiveness and practicality of this personalized recommendation model were verified through user surveys and data analysis. The experimental results indicate that this model can quickly and accurately recommend suitable fine art education content for users, improving their learning effectiveness and experience.

Analysis of the Innovative Path of History Teaching from an Artistic Perspective

This paper discusses the innovative ways of history teaching in depth from the unique perspective of art. By analyzing how artistic elements can effectively enrich teaching means and contents, it reveals the important value of art in history teaching for the improvement of students’ comprehensive literacy and further explores the role of art in promoting the modern transformation of history education. At the same time, the article also focuses on the challenges faced in practice, such as the lack of artistic qualities among teachers, the difficulties in integrating art and history, and the differences in students’ acceptance. To cope with these challenges, the article proposes specific implementation strategies, including the integration of diversified art resources, innovative teaching methods and approaches, and the construction of a scientific and reasonable evaluation mechanism, aiming to comprehensively optimize the effectiveness of history teaching and further stimulate students’ potential for all-round development.

Like Drifting Sand Dunes: Noisy Lessons in a Porous Field

AbstractThis paper argues that the teaching of art in Higher Educational Institutions is inherently paradoxical. Informed by the transgressive and interdisciplinary qualities of contemporary artistic practices, education nevertheless is often made to fit into a reductionist, outcome‐oriented and individualistic discourse. Taking a weeklong workshop at the Nida Art Colony in Lithuania as a practical axis for its reflections on the fluid nature of art education, the paper discusses possibilities of extending beyond pedagogical, political, human/nonhuman and other borders and treating ‘noise’ and other ‘interferences’ as opportunities for transgression and dialogue. This workshop with students from the Vilnius Academy of Arts took place in September 2022, at a time characterised by the Russia–Ukraine war. Nida's proximity to Russia's exclave Kaliningrad, its location on the narrow Curonian Spit, and its immediate environment characterised by woods and sand dunes provide this paper with a setting for a discussion about a variety of borders: territorial borders, border pedagogies, perceived borders between human and nonhuman entities, between land and sea, and so on. Borders are described as dominant indicators of power and distinction, while educational standards and instruments of measurement often replicate similar distinctions between the known and the unfamiliar. Yet, borders can also be shifted while new connections and dialogues across real and conceptual borders can be forged in a porous process that is predisposed towards flexible scenarios characterised by the ‘not‐yet’. The surrounding forest and wetlands and huge drifting sand dunes in Nida become analogies for the changing structure of the workshop, silently yet overpoweringly advocating for a mutable pedagogy. Analysed through the work of various contemporary artists, this nonhuman intrusion into a pedagogical and creative experience is both undefined and vulnerable, unlike the preordained structures of attainment targets often associated with contemporary schooling.

Research on the E-learning platform for art teaching and immersive digital entertainment experience based on improved neural networks

With the continuous advancement of technology, E-learning platforms have become a hot topic in the field of education, with great potential for improving teaching effectiveness and learning experience. This article is based on an improved neural network-based E-learning platform for art teaching, and studies the application of immersive digital entertainment experience in art teaching. A demand analysis was conducted to understand the needs of users for digital art teaching platforms. Then the hardware and software of the platform were designed, and the platform performance was tested. We conducted research on immersive teaching methods in art teaching, explored the application of immersive digital entertainment experience in art teaching, and studied the impact of immersive emotional cognition on teaching effectiveness. Finally, an evaluation model for art teaching effectiveness was constructed based on an improved neural network, and relevant experiments and analysis were conducted. The research results indicate that combining an improved neural network-based art teaching E-learning platform with an immersive digital entertainment experience can effectively enhance the effectiveness of art teaching, enhance students’ learning motivation and emotional cognition level.

Fundamento de la importancia del arte en la escuela: una mirada desde la investigación edu-artistica y el desarrollo integral del estudiante

For decades, educational-artistic research has yielded results demonstrating the importance of teaching and learning art within the school context. This article reaffirms the notion that art education is pivotal for the comprehensive development of students. Art education encompasses the teaching and learning of art without distinction between its various forms: musical, theatrical, plastic, or visual. Integrality denotes the balanced and complete development of students across all facets of life, encompassing not only academic prowess but also physical, emotional, social, and cultural dimensions, nurturing a spectrum of life skills. Access to comprehensive education is a fundamental right, yet for it to be universally attainable, society must recognize and advocate for it as such. Understanding this integrality entails acknowledging arts education as essential and indispensable for the holistic development of individuals, particularly during their school years; without it, such holistic development would be incomplete. The aesthetic experience stands out as a unique element of arts education, setting it apart from other domains of knowledge. This distinctive quality fosters the holistic development of students, contributing to their personal growth and enabling them to thrive fully and satisfactorily in society. In conclusion, this article underscores the imperative of shifting societal paradigms to facilitate a more meaningful integration of arts education into school curricula. It also encourages continued research efforts in the field of arts education.

Application Analysis of Graphic Design Elements in the Teaching of Environmental Art Specialty

This paper aims to analyze the application of graphic design elements in the teaching of environmental art major. Firstly, by reviewing the definition and development of graphic design, the basic concept and classification of graphic design elements are introduced. Then, combined with the characteristics of environmental art, the application of graphic design elements in different environments and scenes is discussed. It includes color application, composition principle, font selection and graphic expression. Finally, the importance of graphic design elements in the teaching of environmental art is summarized, and the prospect of further research is put forward.

THE SPECIFICITY OF FORMING AESTHETIC VALUES OF COLLEGE STUDENTS IN ACADEMIC DISCIPLINES WITH THE HELP OF MUSICAL INSTRUMENT

This article expounds the particularity of the discipline setting of Chinese college students' aesthetic values from the perspective of the four disciplines of music history theory, music appreciation, music aesthetics and music practice offered in Chinese universities, the article also gives a detailed description of the musical instruments used by college students in the course of studying these disciplines. In Chinese colleges and universities, students form aesthetic values through Chinese musical art, mainly by studying some disciplines about Chinese music. After analyzing and reading the relevant literature, the authors find that, on the one hand, the music disciplines offered by the universities in China under the guidance of the state policy have common features, but because of the difference of the regional economic development, the local culture, the cognitive difference of the administrators, such as the president, and the difference of their own school-running conditions, the colleges and universities have different characteristics. After analysing the literature connected to the research, the authors find that, on the other hand, the types of musical instruments used by students are subject to the school's music public art curriculum resources. It is emphasised that many well-known universities and provincial key universities in China are rich in music public art teaching resources, students use more instruments, playing professionally. And in most local colleges and universities in ethnic minority areas, college students use fewer musical instruments, and more use of piano, guitar, Cucurbit Wire, harmonica, Zheng and other common fixed pitch, relatively easy to operate the instrument, the minority musical instruments which are special, rare or difficult to learn are seldom used even in universities in minority areas. The study is relevant for comparing the means of forming aesthetic values in different countries. Prospects for further research will be to analyse the methods and forms of forming students' aesthetic values in the educational process of colleges in China and other countries in a comparative aspect.

Application of multimodality perception scene construction based on Internet of Things (IoT) technology in art teaching

Numerous impediments beset contemporary art education, notably the unidimensional delivery of content and the absence of real-time interaction during instructional sessions. This study endeavors to surmount these challenges by devising a multimodal perception system entrenched in Internet of Things (IoT) technology. This system captures students’ visual imagery, vocalizations, spatial orientation, movements, ambient luminosity, and contextual data by harnessing an array of interaction modalities encompassing visual, auditory, tactile, and olfactory sensors. The synthesis of this manifold information about learning scenarios entails strategically placing sensors within physical environments to facilitate intuitive and seamless interactions. Utilizing digital art flower cultivation as a quintessential illustration, this investigation formulates tasks imbued with multisensory channel interactions, pushing the boundaries of technological advancement. It pioneers advancements in critical domains such as visual feature extraction by utilizing DenseNet networks and voice feature extraction leveraging SoundNet convolutional neural networks. This innovative paradigm establishes a novel art pedagogical framework, accentuating the importance of visual stimuli while enlisting other senses as complementary contributors. Subsequent evaluation of the usability of the multimodal perceptual interaction system reveals a remarkable task recognition accuracy of 96.15% through the amalgamation of Mel-frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCC) speech features with a long-short-term memory (LSTM) classifier model, accompanied by an average response time of merely 6.453 seconds—significantly outperforming comparable models. The system notably enhances experiential fidelity, realism, interactivity, and content depth, ameliorating the limitations inherent in solitary sensory interactions. This augmentation markedly elevates the caliber of art pedagogy and augments learning efficacy, thereby effectuating an optimization of art education.

Virtue and the Art of Teaching Art

ABSTRACT Discussions of the aims and efficacy of teachers tend to focus on an extended present pre supposing a more or less common profile across subjects and recent times. Given the concern with contemporary schooling this is unsurprising, but it limits what might be learned about the character of good and bad teaching, about the particularities of certain fields, and about the ways teachers conceive themselves in relation to their subjects, students and society. This essay considers the teaching of art, by artists to art students, setting this within a long view of the institutions of art and art training. Three partial models of the art educator and their associated qualities can be abstracted from medieval, early modern, and recent periods. (1) The Exemplar: possessed of practical skills and habituated understanding and judgement. (2) The Master: having in addition to the exemplar’s qualitieserudition and cultivated taste. (3) The Critical-Advocate: theory-oriented, and self-consciously progressive. Good art (be it in terms of expressive, imaginative, formal, representational or other relevant aspects) has the power to transform makers and observers, and to encourage and deepen self-examination and self-understanding. Good art teaching should be alert to and directed towards these benefits.
