Composite materials are engineered materials that are made by combining two or more materials. This review paper examines the readily available resource betel nut and its properties, particularly the mechanical properties of its husk fiber after reinforcement. The study found that the reinforcement process improved the strength, stiffness, tensile strength, impact strength, and flexural strength of the areca nut husk fiber. The results showed that all of the mechanical properties of the treated husk fiber had improved compared to those of the untreated composite.
